With our birthday party over, we turn to the real<\/em> theme of this month’s random thread: a celebration of Muse<\/em>, September 2002: the chess issue.<\/p>\n

Not all Musers or MBers play chess, but this issue had something for everybody. Robert tracked down and profiled International Master Jeremy Silman, the chess consultant<\/a> for the movie “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.” Nigel Molesworth went “Back to Skool Agane!” Robert and Rosanne answered six questions on the Q&A page. And there were manatees! Truly an epic issue.<\/p>\n
