I had a good leap day so far. Our last show of our Alice in Wonderland-like journey through a teen’s life went well.
It was good. I discovered various information of the new album by one of my favorite bands.
And I’ve decided I think I’ll continue going to school, instead of pleading to be homeschooled again.

oh yeah, its sadie hawkins day! shweet? i didn’t have any proposals either, Rth, but that was okay by me. yeah, there’s a really tall sophmore at my school who had his birthday today. he’s turning four. hahahahaha! but he is an extremely awesome basketball player, so whatever. who invented leap year? was it benjamin franklin? or was that daylight savings time?
I believe leap year was invented to correct the mistakes of the Gregorian Calender, which messed up every 4 years. The Aztecs didn’t have leap years, because they’re calender only messed up every 1000 years or so.
My leap day has been unremarkable.
Today this guy in our pre-algebra class said there is no such thing as leap day!

A handy way to remember when a year is a leap year is there is always a presidential election in the US during a leap year.

Uuh, I dodn’t know I was supposed to ask out/to marry someone. Oh well, maybe in another four years.
I was visiting with some friends, having out annual red-and-white dinner. Because we were sick over Valentine’s day we had to postpone it, so we crammed it into the last day of Feb.
I spent my leap day at a very serious Model UN conference at Carnegie Mellon University, and it was really fun! We had committee meetings for about 5 hours that day, and also had many opening ceremony meeting things.
Yesterday was the big day, though, starting at 8:15 am and ending at 9:30 pm, we had 11 hours of committee meetings!
Now, I’m about to head out for the final day of the conference. Go Turkey!

39-Taking a few of them a while is actually pretty good. Some people will just get very confused and never figure out what you mean, and many will entirely ignore the fraction and assume you’re just 12. and it gets worse later. when i was 12 4/2 and 12 5/2 people would take a while to figure out that there was anything odd about it, then after thinking for a moment they’d say “Oh, so you’re really 13?” That got really annoying. Why can’t people do math?!?!?!?

emma (42): They were short compared to the sessions we had. We had about an hour for lunch and a little more for dinner. We had to have awhile for meals, because we had to walk a long way to get to any place to eat. Plus, it was kind of necessary to have a break because the committee meetings were so intense and energy-draining.
My leap day was rather complicated. I had band in the early morning and then afternoon classes in the morning because it was a half day (for reasons unrelated to leap day). I then had MathCounts right after school (which included lunch). Then, I went home, read my new Muse, and did some more MathCounts work. Then, we had Twelfth Night rehearsal, where we had to do the bush scene 20 times again, which I had to leave early to go to a planning meeting for my Bat Mitzvah project, which involves planning a march to protest the health care system. Finally, I got home, ate dinner, and did some more MathCounts.
I honestly can’t remember that far back. I’m an in-the-moment kind of girl.
My leap day was a bit weird. My science teacher tried explain what leap day was and she ran around the room trying to do it.

No, it’s about something else. I’ve never actually read it, but I love Wendy Mass’ books and I think I’ll ask for it for my birthday. I’ve read excerpts of it on Amazon and stuff though.
