A new volume! This calls for cream puffs. The wungs have come up with a recipe that they say has a “surprise” inside. I’m not sure what it is, but it tastes…sparkly? A bit like a miniature firework goes off when you bite into it. Very nice with a cuppa to wash it down.
Maybe a mixture of citric acid and nitrogen triiodide?
That could be. I’ve been burping little clouds of purple smoke.
An internal rhyme worthy of Sondheim.
I think weather this hot necessitates ice cream sandwiches. The wungs thought they would be clever by making them inside-out, but if you eat them quickly enough, your fingers don’t get too sticky. The neapolitan ones are interesting–the ice cream is all chocolate, and it’s the cookie inside that’s three different flavors.
I have to give them credit — it’s a delightfully creative dessert! And it has the honor of being only the second (I think?) ice cream dessert I’ve been inspired to attempt with fork and knife.
…well, if you ignore the mess, it almost worked!
I think they’re starting to get carried away, because the wungs have now similarly applied their delightful creativity to some ice cream cones. It’s really not clear to me how we’re expected to eat these… or even hold them, for that matter….
One shudders to imagine the messy repercussions should their ambitions expand to updating the beloved chocolate fountain. I may take the liberty of moving some of the more delicate furniture to higher ground. Just in case, you know.
Oh dear, they’ve done milkshakes now. Where did that mop go….
If anyone has an appetite, the wungs are getting impatient at how long it’s taking me to eat the loaf of pumpkin bread they’ve baked to match (in shape, size, and weight) the newest holder of the “largest pumpkin” world record. I’m just grateful we already had a knife large enough to slice it.
Alas, I fear I am too late to assist with this food. Surely it must have spoiled by now? It’s a shame. This is a lovely-looking spot, and quite cozy to boot.
Never fear, there’s always some unexpected comestible about! How about one of these green pastry things? I think they’re avocado flavored, but you never can be sure here.
I might give it a go, but if the flavor is Avocado then I’ll have to pass. Not a fan of the Sloth Bear’s Delight, I’m afraid.
Incredible though it may seem, Museblog burst upon an unsuspecting world 19 years ago, on August 1, 2005. All I can say is wow, and yeow, and thank you all.
A very happy ur-‘Blogiversary to you, Robert! Here’s to another prime number of years of the greatest website in the general Earth area.
Next prime anniversary coming up in 2028!
That’s not drastically far away! Happy blogiversary to y’all. Hope you make it to the next one
