Things for Which We Are Grateful

Requested by Midnight Fiddler, and so obviously a good idea that we’re amazed nobody suggested it years ago.

  6. Midnight Fiddler says:

I’m feeling really grateful for my close group of friends right now.
Some of them were being kind of clique-y since they’d spend all summer together, and my other friend and I were feeling left out. So I mentioned it, and later that day they made guacamole and got vegan ice cream (both Karen and I are vegan, and fans of avocados) and we all talked about things that we could do to support each other through rough times.

I’m also really glad that I was able to take care of some of my friends last night, because I was still feeling bad about having to have been taken care of in the past. I really needed to be on the other end to actually realize how much of a non-burden I was.

I’m grateful that this year my work crew is a lot more productive and interesting and we’re actually making progress. More progress in the first week than pretty much the entirety of last year. It’s really exciting.

    The ability to love.
Those moments when all you can do is open your eyes trying to soak in as much information and mind-pictures as you can and all you can think of is complete, mind-blowing awe over the fact that this world is amazing, and inexplicably mysterious and old and new and here we are, existing against all odds.
    Music.
    My crazy family.
The fact that I have been given so many tools with which I can give myself the opportunity to become great.
