So far, the day has been getting mixed reviews on the Random Thread. How’s your luck holding out?
So far this is one of the best Friday the 13ths I’ve ever had, mostly because I get a day off ! (:
I’m doing fine. Of course, now that I’ve said that, Murphy will be after me.
This Friday the 13th has been very lucky for me. My forensics (speech) tournament was canceled due to snow. Looks like that bad luck stuff isn’t well-founded after all.
Currently, my Friday the 13th is working out well. I had bioethics this morning, complete with more discussion of the morality of suicide, physician assisted suicide, and euthanasia. I managed to stop by the library on my way to English and print out a clean copy of the page that I hand fixed an error on and then had been unable to print last night, due to all printers conspiring against me. I also had time in that same hour stop by the coffee shop and speak to my chemistry professor about make up times for our test next Wednesday.
And, I just successfully signed up for a room for next year and submitted my housing contract.
So, yes, it is going well so far, and hopefully will continue as I now leave for my next class (biomed terms) and then come back to my room to nap/study/eat, not necessarily in that order.
Gotta go!!!!!!
Oh, I didn’t even notice this thread. Well, Friday the 13th has been very good for me so far. Snow!! Squee!
I got to stay home because of Winter Carnival…. yay!!
6: Why aren’t you at Winter Carnival??? It’s the best!
7- Haha, I’m terrible at sports, so Winter Carnival for me would be: 75 minutes of class, watching Talent Show and feeling remorseful for not doing it, eating lunch, and playing Monopoly for several hours. Not too fun.
Besides, the seventh grade is winning anywayOh yeah, your sister’s in seventh grade, hehehe…So, GAPAs? Are you going to have another of these next month? Because y’know, March 13 is a Friday as well.
Hehe. 13 is lucky and 7 is unlucky for me. I’m a backwards person.
Happy Friday the 13th! May your luck abound!
(9) Of course! And another one in November.
11–Flamablamablous!
11- Wow, three Friday the 13ths this year? That’s more than usual, isn’t it?
My day has been lovely, it was filled with singing telegrams and yam recipes. What more can you ask for in life?
Not terribly unusual. We’ll have one apiece in 2010 and 2011 and then three again in 2012.
Singing telegrams?
14- Huh, really. That’s quite intriguing.
Yup, as a day-before-Valentine’s ritual. They costed five dollars to send to someone a song + guitar playing serenades. Serenades, as in the Backstreet Boys and Spice Girls.
Our school has an extreme excess of holiday spirit. Every holiday.
I’m having a fairly good day. But one Friday the 13th in Elementary School, I spilled my lunch all over myself and had to go hungry.
Ah, singing valentines? Can you believe it, that makes me think of HP…….
“His eyes are as green as a fresh pickled toad,
His hair is as dark as a blackboard,
I wish he were mine,
He’s really divine,
The hero who conquered the Dark Lord.”
so, anyway……one word for y’all: triskaidekaphobia
17 – Fear of the number 13! That was an extra credit vocab word in sixth grade.
Yay! Happy Friday the thirteenth, everyone!
This is a wonderful day. Thirteenth is my second favorite number. Sadly, I have no lucky number.
Happy Friday the 13th! I was in Washington DC, had a lovely time, went poking around thrift stores and found some good stuff and went to see a movie. I’d say it’s going pretty well.
Only bad thing is I’m sniffling and tired and probably won’t practice because (1) I don’t want to sneeze on my concertina or fiddle. Or the one I’m borrowing, either. And (2)I’m way tired, even though it’s not that late. I got to bed well after midnight and woke up at 6 and had a full day even with feeling sick.
Maybe I’ll hole up in my room and read Shakespeare……….yeah, that’s a good idea. *patches up hopes and starts smiling again*
Ah well. Perhaps tomorrow will be better. Oh, wait, it’s Valentine’s…….*hopes for a really nice day are dashed to ribbons* No doubt I’ll get a multitude of emails and text messages about how everyone hope’s I’ll have a great day with my “special someone”. *groan* Riiiight. On the other hand, I get to giggle hysterically while I tease all my friends and look down upon them as the serene “single person”…..like Benedict….yes, I love Benedict, he’s my favorite.
Oh, and if I ever stop being invisible please let me know……that way I can go hide!
Fiddler — How are you connecting to MuseBlog? Nobody else can. They just get error messages. I can get through on my Treo but not on my home computer. It’s very strange.
I had one problem but I just hit back and posted again….
Yes, we seem to be back in business now. Just another Friday-the-13th oddity, I suppose.
We’re back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My Friday the 13th is not ruined, afterall.
And, it has continued to be good: Despite my issues yesterday, I managed to successfully reinstall my printer (I had uninstalled to try and fix its issues). I’m not yet sure if the reinstallation will fix the printing problems I was having (that is, the error message claiming communication failure/printer offline), but things are looking promising right now. Which I am very happy about–i was getting tired of having to wander down to the common area to print stuff off–it just takes so much longer, and is so much less convenient.
off to catch up on the other threads!
My favourite number is 13. My favourite word is triskadekaphobia. My second favourite day of the year is Friday the 13th, and this year we have 3 of them! Yay! I’m always lucky on Friday the 13th. Like today, I was sick so I got to stay home, thereby missing a math test and a speech I hadn’t prepared for.
My Friday the 13th was okay until ski club at night. I sprained my thumb reeeeeally badly and it killed. It’s better now, I guess.
My Friday was all right, but last night I came up with a weird new breed of cold: puffy throat, stuffy nose, lost my voice, and getting sick every hour. I feel terrible, so if you don’t see me over the next few days that’s probably why.
27-
Hugs and choklit.
Yesterday was fine. No school. And I went to a tea party.
About the problems: it’s back now, but when I first logged on it was all centered and the RCSB was at the bottom sort of to the side, and “A Very MuseBlog Valentine” was at the top replacing Who’s Here and What’s Here. Odd.
I’m in the process of making a valentine for MB…. it’s not very good though, so don’t give it its own thread or anything.
My Friday the thirteenth was awesome. I love Friday the thirteenth.
My Friday the 13th was totally and completely unremarkable. I went to school, read, went to ballroom dancing, and finally replied to an email I’ve been meaning to reply to for months. Then I went to bed.
Not very happy for me. I had a detention that was TOTALLY unnecessary. And it was 5 HOURS LONG.
Oh, did I mention I got to miss Valentine’s Day because I was on a plane to another state? I hate Valentine’s Day. I guess the luck of the 13th spilled over into the next day.
33- 5 hours? How is that possible/legal?
34- Why do you hate it? You get candy from people and if you have a boy/girl friend, they act nicer than usual. There’s no reason to hate it.
33- We had a field trip to Boston that day, and she kept me at school. It was five hours of math, basically.
33- Was it an in-school suspension? Like, did you have to sit in the office or a classroom during the school day?
33 – Was it during school, or after school? What did you do? Or get blamed for, at least.
i got suspended once
I really hate it how this year, because of Vday on the following day and all that, people ignore this holiday. I ought to celebrate it with a cocoa-and-sugar-and-butter sculpture.
…I’ll be right back.
