Click on the piece you want to move. A red box will appear around the piece, and yellow boxes will appear around the squares it’s allowed to move to. Then click on the square where you want the piece to end up. The piece will move.

That probabaly wasn’t the best move, but come on…
White had a much better 11th move. Look carefully, Ducky. Remember that you’re after the king.
Well, since I don’t understand chess, I can’t figure out exactly what that means.
Hm. I don’t want to intervene too heavy-handedly here, but… Look at where the Black king is, and then look at which White pieces can move near there. (Lovely Lunegood: I’ll help you the same way if I get a chance.)
Here’s my humble advice; I hope it’s not to much interfering (both sections are sort of for both players):
Lovely Loongood) Right now, white has some fairly powerful pieces close to your King (i.e. in the center). Be careful. Be very careful. Your king is rather open- as soon as you can, try to make sure you can stop Ducky from attacking your king, i.e. position some of your pieces so that you can take hers if she tries (some of them might already be positioned that way, hint-hint).
Pay attention to where your pieces are and how well positioned they are. A good, basic rule is to try and point them at the center of the board, especially since no-one has castled yet. The nearer to your opponent’s king, the better. Of course, Ducky will be trying to defend her King too; so you have to be careful where exactly you put those pieces (and so should Ducky, hint/advice for both sides).
Ducky) You already have a good amount of firepower pointed at Lovely Loongood. Try to use it to attack her King. If you feel you don’t have enough or if you should lose some, look at some of your other pieces (hint-hint). And keep up the pace: the fewer moves you make without attacking, the less chances she has to organize a defense. Any more hinting would be too partisan, but right now both of you have a pretty good shot at winning, depending on the next move (hint-hint, Lovely Loongood).
Both of you still have some fairly inactive figures in the corners; if this affront end in another stand-off, i.e. Ducky’s attack fails and you both have a bit of a respite, try to get those figures out (some could even come out sooner, hint-hint); after all, that’s a good bit of firepower doing nothing.

And it appears that L.L. has lost interest and/or has forgotten about his game. *sigh*
