Achtung, bookgirl!
Achtung I’m supposed to move, or I’m going to lose that knight?
… Never mind, I’ll think of something.
Just wanted to remind you that Tesseract made her sixth move on June 4, and while it’s true that we call this an “Eternament,” nevertheless etc. etc. etc.
(Since you ask: no, things don’t look good for the knight. Nice trapping, Tesseract!)
“…and with one last, resounding cry of defiance, the doomed knight flung himself upon the spears of the soldiers guarding the White King.”
Okay, this cleverly concocted plan will either be awesome or blow up in my face.
I guess we won’t find out until Tesseract reappears. Has anybody seen her?
Tesseract?
I’m here, but with limited Internet– I’ll try to move later today but can’t promise anything. (I’m at a school in Switzerland.)
I’m leaving for America tomorrow- I’ll be back in august.
Tesseract, in re your 14th move: ??? What was wrong with taking the pawn with your pawn? MBers have to learn to stop throwing away their pieces.
Oops.
Well, that’s how you learn, I suppose.
Only if you review your mistakes and see where you went wrong. That’s hard to do in a normal chess game, but it’s easy on these online boards — one reason I like this software.
Tess?
Oops! Sorry, I switched browsers and then this wasn’t bookmarked anymore. I’ll move now.
No problem.
Oh {snip}.
Bookgirl?
Psst. Bookgirl.
Your move, bookgirl!
Exciting position! A lot could happen in the next few moves.
Nice 20th move, Black. Tesseract’s turn.
I’ll move when I get back, before 2011.
Yes! This must be the first time we’re both online. Or were.
Yeah, then I left. Ahahaha.
But you returned. Muhahaha.
I’m dead! That was a fun seven-month chess game.
That’s why it’s called an “eterna-ment.”
Tess, your problems started at move 11. You should have castled your king to get him out of the center. Moving the rook made castling impossible.
By move 21 you were under attack. Why did you start throwing away pawns? Pawns are the walls of your fortress. Advancing them like that was like lowering the drawbridge and opening the gate.
Nice attack, bookgirl. Your 18th move was careless, though. Why not pawn to d4 or pawn takes c4?
