“In the town where I was born,
Lived a man who sailed to sea…”
Yellow Submarine was the first Beatles song I ever heard, because my mom played it many times when I was a baby. I knew it even before I knew who the Beatles were. Just hearing those first lines always takes me back and makes me feel better. Even now, when I’m feeling a bit down with a stomach bug.
Thank you, John Lennon.
“Imagine” was one of the wake-up songs played for the astronauts on the final flight of the Space Shuttle Columbia, and I’ve never been able to put my own response to that song into a better response into better words than theirs:
John Lennon– I can’t even begin. He wrote incredibly inspirational music, was very talented… Such sadness that he had to get shot that sad day in 1980. He will always be remembered.
Yay!!! Happy Birthday John!!! Go Beatles!!!
Oh yeah! First post! Didja see Google’s homepage today? It’s so cool.

We all live in a place of no sanity, a place of no sanity, a place of no sanity…
Happy birthday, John!
