This was KaiYves’s comment on the Roll Call page:
Thanks! I got it in the mail today. My cheeks may still be swollen and sore, but I’m PUBLISHED!

It was the hardest thing not to turn to page 26 straight-away and see what the cake the GAPAs were hinting at so much on the Roll Call thread. Skipping ahead would violate a Muse Reading Rule, of course. Nevertheless, as soon as I figured out the theme of the issue, I started to suspect that a certain someone from Museblog might show up somewhere in the issue. Great article, Kai! :P

    KAI, I LOVE YOUR MUSEROLOGY!

Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond my control I am no longer able to receive Muse (I begged for a renewed subscription for Christmas, but no…). However, I managed to read it online and I have to say I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT. The part about 1202 was so touching. ): And it’s great how you got to ask your question! <3

Thanks, guys! I didn’t mention it on here before because it talks about the launch invitation and that’s not completely finalized yet.

Kai, I must say I simply adored your Muserology! Kudos and congratulations! Of course, I knew that any Muserology of yours would almost certainly be in a space issue. ;) Your story was amazing, and I’m very happy for you!

Now, on to less pressing matters.

In the article “To Mars or Not?” the Muses commenting on page eight ask a critical question: is there a Muse of Microbes? I think this conundrum should be rectified immediately. Doesn’t a Muse of Microbes sound fascinating and undeniably vital? Microbes do not fall under the jurisdiction of any current Muse, not even Pwt, as Pwt is Muse of Animals only.

Also, in the article “Space Sick” there is an aside titles “Sick as a Dog?” in which it is professed that rabbits are immune to motion sickness, such as that which takes space travelers. Might this be evidence supporting the theory that the infamous HPBs came from outer space?

    5. That would explain a lot of things

This issue was great! Astronomy is a fascinating subject. And i must say it is amazing how stubborn people with prejudices can be even faced with cold hard logic and facts.

5- I’ve wondered if there are lost Muses of Fungi, Monerans, and Protists distantly related to Feather and Pwt.

And good catch on that nausea thing, I never would have thought of that, but it DOES sound like possible support for the theory. Experts think some kinds of bacteria could have come from space because they can survive higher radiation does than any naturally found on Earth, so being immune to space sickness could have implied the HPBs are evolutionarily adapted to space travel. It’s an interesting twist on the panspermia hypothesis.

    Quote from May/June 2010 Muse:
Pwt: Shouldn’t one of us be the Muse of prokaryotes too?
Feather: You do it. I want to be the Muse of fungi and yeast.
I’m assuming this was permanent because in October 2010 Muse, Pwt’s response to Mimi’s suggested use of antibacterial was, “NO! STOP! NOBODY BREATHE!”
Those didn’t technically spoil this Muse, but they hinted.
