We hope you enjoyed our Victorian MuseBlog spoof as much as we did. We’ll leave the Museion online, moderate it, and continue to add new goodies to it. MBers will no longer be automatically directed to it, so you’ll have to go there deliberately. You can find it at http://www.museblog.com/museion (or simply http://www.museblog.com ).
>> In any case, you certainly won’t want to miss Lady Coneyful’s Victorian Muses.
Yr. obd’t. svts.,
The G. & P. A.s
I really like the Lovelace version of Aeiou.
Thank you, TMFA (or should I say T.G.F.A.?). Your approval of my humble yet nonethless perfervid labours in rendering your favoured Muse bestows upon me no small measure of delight.
A suggestion: taking into account that some people–current and future–access MuseBlog by going to MuseBlog.com, perhaps the automatic redirect to /museion could be removed?
*blinkblinkblinkblinkblink*
I think I may be lurking for a while. But it is awesome.
Yes, I just told someone to find MuseBlog at museblog.com, and I don’t want him to find the wrong place…
Who was A Student Of Entropy? I couldn’t figure that one out.
That would be me.
Oh! Now I understand. I couldn’t figure it out either. I like the pseudonym. It suits you.
(2, 4) All taken care of.
…How did I miss this? I do not know.
I was Mme. Kaiulani.
I’m The Successive Flower.
Theresa Eract. I believe “Tess” is a nickname for Theresa, but I didn’t think people would get it if I posted as just Theresa.
I was The Rogue of Rays of Sun, which is a fairly technical corruption of my usual name.
NO, I MISSED APRIL FOOL’S DAY FOR THE THIRD YEAR IN A ROW. HOW DO I MANAGE THIS.
You go to the still open for posting Museion and join the Collaborative Story which we are trying to start and which will hopefully continue for a long time, therefore making up for a whole host of missed April Fool’s.
Oh look, the museion. I just posted there. MephtisMephtis-that’s the scientific name for me…
I noticed that the posts were done in the style of the pre-nesties MuseBlog. It would be kind of cool if the GAPAs opened up a new blog called MuseBlog Retro or something so some nostalgic Musers could go post there.
The background information will explain why the Museion looks the way it does, and why references to wireless service and electronic gadgets aren’t a good fit there.
What are you doing in Uganda?
Whoops. I tried to make it as Victorian sounding as possible, but I suppose I should be more careful. Sorry.
Uganda is our current stop on our big trip. Frankfurt is next.
As for nested threads, we could easily turn them off here if MBers wanted us to. Some of our threads are “flat” by design. But I think people would complain if we did.
I didn’t like the nested replies when they were first introduced, but now I do. They make it a lot easier to follow complex conversations, especially when one has been gone for a little while and needs to catch up.
MuseBlog Retro = Paleophyte threads, more or less.
Odd- the Museion is blocked on school computers, although regular MB is not.
Your school’s computers probably have temporal-causality-paradox filters.
I can only get to the Museion through the link on this thread. If I type in the address, it doesn’t work.
Just typing museblog.com makes it redirect here.
That’s right. To get to the Museion, you have to type museblog.com/museion .
Yes, that’s what I meant. It didn’t work. It does now, though. I’m not sure why.
Is 21st Century Dawg a Muser trying to be weird, or is en some random obnoxious person who stumbled across the Museion? Will the world ever know?
She’s just trolling.
I’d say “being silly.” En is another MBer, not an interloper from outside.
I’ll talk to en. I could give en one of my lovely be-nice speeches…
I sense that I don’t ever want to be on the receiving end of one of those speeches.
I’ve restrained myself. For now. The translation attempts are too hilarious. But I can’t make any promises… *smiles, baring teeth*
Who was Miss Z?
8.1: Yes, I actually thought thought you were Maggie until she showed up.
*raises hand* That would be moi.
Oh, that makes sense. I thought of you, but I don’t think you’d make your first post here yet (though I could be wrong), so I wasn’t sure.
No, you’re right – I hadn’t posted on MB yet at that point.
