Chess: MuseBlog vs. MuseBlog, 1-0

Just for fun, we’re posting a game in which anybody can make a move at any time. You don’t have to restrict yourself to playing one color, but please don’t make more than one move in a row. The game will be over too quickly if people just use it to play themselves.

This is great! Now I can still play every once and awhile but I don’t have to worry about keeping up with a game of my own.

  8. (After 10. f4.) Moving the f pawn leaves the white king vulnerable to attack. It will be interesting to see what happens.

  10. The GAPA makes White’s move 12.

White needs to get the king out of the center and protect the bishop on b2 in case the queen has to move (to defend those central pawns, say). Queenside castling is the best bet for solving both problems, I think, so queenside castling it is.
