  1. They shall not grow old, as we who are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
    we will remember them.

  2. Happy 11/11/11!

I think I caught the minute, but then, each of my clocks give a slightly different time. But no matter. I hope the wish comes true! (Although it will take years to see it through.)

Now, time to draw a picture and date it 11/11/11! :D

  3. I was in Statistics class, but I was able to check on my phone and note the exact time.

I sort of wish somebody had told me to write down a journal entry every “matching day” from 2001 onwards now, because I think that would have been very interesting to read, both now and in 2022, 2033, etc. when I’m all grown up and won’t be able to remember my childhood as well.

  4. Augh, I missed it- not that what I was doing wasn’t awesome (my mom’s cousin has some horse stables that we went to visit) but I might have to stay awake for the second one. How will I stay awake? I WILL WATCH DOCTOR WHO! Unless my mom won’t let me do that, which is very unlikely. Come to think of it, if she let me I could probably finish Series Four…

  5. Hmm… I was enjoying getting of class for the morning one, but I remembered when we had our minute of silence later. So does that count? I was on the internet at 11:11PM.

  6. So the bell that signals the end of lunch rings at 11:11, so that made it relatively easy because we could listen for the bell, count up to 11 seconds, and then make our wish…or something. (And yes, we really eat lunch that early at my school.)

I was in the hallway getting books out of my locker, and after I heard the bell my friend called me to go into the nearest Lit classroom where the teacher had a huge world clock website up on his projector so I went inside where we counted down together, felt sort of anti climatic, and then made a rushed wish I had given no previous thought to whatsoever. And then I went on with my day. :)

  7. I almost had a doctor’s appointment at 11:00 today. I was going to do give a presentation, too, so it would have been pleasant, not unpleasant or neutral. The date got changed, though.
It’ll be really amazing at 11:11 on 11/11, 11111! I’m just dying to see what happens; I can’t wait until then!

    1. You’ll be just DYING to see what happens. Because, after what happens, you’ll DIE. Till it kills you, you know, till you’re dead. Are you picking up on what I’m saying here? I mean…

  8. Yay! I missed the first one, but I was at a sleepover at 11:11pm, and we happened to glance at the clock at the right moment. Totally coincidental, but I still wished.

    1. Wait, do 11:11 AM and 11:11 PM both count?
I did catch the AM one, and I was going to catch the PM one too, but it was at a sleepover but we started watching the End of Time, so we missed it because no one wanted to look away for a second to check the time.
Man! I just realized that if we had been smarter we could have timed the regeneration for 11.11.11, 11:11!

  9. My friends and I caught them both as we were watching Harry Potter movies! I made a good wish, I think.

My favorite part was when the local newspaper noted in their “100 days ago today” section that the city newspaper in 1911 talked about it being a once in a century event. One hundred years ago, people were saying, “this won’t happen again for one hundred years!”. And they couldn’t even imagine what the world would be like when that event came around again, and they had only vague ideas what the people would be like in that far-off time. And now, we’re like then, and one hundred years from now, on 11/11/2111, the people who live then will be thinking the same things about us. Isn’t that weird to consider?
