  1. All right! We need a theme. Last year we did a foresty Winter Wonderland sort of theme, and I believe the year before that was a gold-tinted Victorian Christmas. Ideas for this year?

    1. Maybe “History Comes Alive” as a theme, with the ballroom looking like a grand old art museum decorated for the holidays, with suits of armor with wreaths around their necks, holiday-themed paintings in fancy frames, and a big tree decorated with classy Renaissance ornaments, like at the Met.

      1. The movie does take place around Christmas, but I was thinking of this as more explicitly holiday-themed, with decorations within the museum, sometimes within the exhibits, and not so much the natural history museum as the Metropolitan across Central Park.

  2. CANDY LAND.
Kind of. Like, peppermint trees, cotton candy clouds, chocolate dirt. EVERYTHING IS EDIBLE*. BUT THERE SHALL BE A SNACK TABLE. And the tree could be made of cinnamon, and there could be sugar snow…
*Of course you can! Everything in this room is eatable, even *I’m* eatable! But that is called “cannibalism,” my dear children, and is in fact frowned upon in most societies.

  3. It seems that candy is the most popular theme. If one of the GAPAs could create the thread ASAP, we can get this party rolling.
