I read the whole thing yesterday. I so loved it :).

I liked the letters best. All these MBers got posted! (Shadowkat, etc.) Some kid liked Kiki’s article. I never actually got to show my admiration for that article. It was truly awesome. :) :)

On our way from the Pumpkin Drop to Muse, PA, Robert gave us his Muse to read in the car, so I read it then. And when we got home, it was waiting for us!

I liked Paul Baker’s article, and I thought the one about the oceanographers and flotsam, etc. was really interesting too.

My favorite was the article on the garden of surprises. I loved how the water blocked the entrances, and the obelisks that represet the elements. Im reading the one on counting the dead. Its interesting. Kokopelli and Co. lol

I got it. I’m so happy. except I’m slightly annoyed. They edited it! I read it and I noticed it said emma the duck, not emmatheduck. i would never put spaces in emmatheduck. So I checked and I didn’t, they changed it. They also fixed some of my punctuation and grammar, though I suppose i can’t really complain about that.

It’s a bit odd that I got the issue after the halloween/scary/ghosts/october issue and its still october. The Garden was really cool, i wish i could go there :( I played Chinook (the perfect checkers program) and lost in 18 moves.

My dad thinks i should write another letter, complaining bout the spaces and also saying that I’m now 12 5/2, not 12 4/2. and by the time they publish that, I would be 12 6/2, so I could write back a third time…..

I have noticed yet more similarities between Muse and Odyssey from this month. They had an aticle that had to do Is there any reltion between the magazines???

And where does Muse get it’s questions for the Q&A from? Because the same question was in Odyssey (litterally the same, both from an Amanda).

Congratulations on getting your letter published, Emma! The 12 4/2 trick might just be useful come April.

I loved the messages in bottles article. It was interesting reading about the one from the Lusitania, since we’ve been studying about the Lusitania in my extremely boring social studies class.

19-Idk, I just don’t like the idea of growing up. Life gets more complicated as you grow older, and i ike being young. It also means I’m too old for spelling bees, but unfortunately there’s no way around that.

    21-What’s happening in April?

25/27~ I noticed it was only on the last page of Muse Mail…. And we MBers saw that picture of Shadowkat AGES ago.

It was good. I loved Paul’s article, devoured the “How Many Had to Die?” article, and haven’t quite finished the floatsam artilce.

18~ Yes, I have often noticed similarities in topics betwixt the magazines. Not just odyssey and Muse, even, sometimes it’s all of them talking about the same thing!! Funny this time, my avorite and least favorite mags did basically the same article. Hmm. Guess which one’s my favorite?

The “How Many Had to Die?” Was great. Sobering, yes, but very thought provoking. It’s so horrible when you really stop to think about how much we wiped out by diseases. *shudders*

27 – Just a slip-up? I would think that they would be more careful than that.

    My random thoughts:

Congratulations emmatheduck on your letter being published. Just so you know, I think they edit every letter. (They edited mine slightly, but I didn’t say anything.)

Shadowkat looks just like I thought she would. I don’t know why. They published her last name though! 8O

    Paul Baker’s article was awesome.

For some reason this issue felt normal length when I was reading it.

I thought the “How Many Had To Die” article was kinda boring. I thought the flotsam article was really cool. I would look for some flotsam if I lived near an ocean. Hey Emmatheduck, and Speller73 whats wrong with being a teenager? I’m one and it deffinately dosn’t stink.

    32-Yup, I’m one now. Phooey.

Of course, all of the “rules” are changing. Before, it was probably considered Strange to even consider romance before becoming a teen. But before that, people married very early because they didn’t live very long. But there are seeming steryotypes about teens. I have been sucked into it, too, so it doesn’t feel like I’m a teen.

OK, that was just me being strange, as usual! :)
