Happy (perhaps slightly belated, but not in my time zone) birthday, THF! Visit us again soon!

Happy belated birthday, THF!

Happy Birthday, THF and Beavo!
Happy birthday, Beavo!

POSOC! Happy birthday!

POSOC is younger than me.
*processes*
No. That can’t be right.
Anyway, happy birthday!
A very Happy Birthday to you, POSOC!
Every time I see your posts I have to fight back the urge to call you Prarilius Canix because that’s who you were when I arrived. At any rate, happy birthday! Your posts as Canix, POSOC and everything in between have consistently brought me great joy over the years.
*flings, chucks, casts, hurls and otherwise tosses assorted pastries at POSOC, including but not limited to croissants, tarts, doughnuts, rolls, cakes, lemon bars and pies*
Happy birthday, Captain Canix!! [}~
The clock has just hit twelve, so may I be the first to wish Vendaval a very happy birthday?
Happy birthday, Vendaval! Have some salty brrrrrrthday pies!

So many amazing people have birthdays this month! (fun fact: I originally typed “today” and then was like, wait, how many people is Vendaval?)
This is what I tell people [elsewhere] when I wish them a happy birthday:
Have the happiest of days! Except for every other day. I hope you are always happy!
For MuseBlog, I’ll append:
Have a pie!
Happy birthday FantasyFan!
And happy belated birthday to Beavo, POSOC, and Vendaval!

Happy 5K day, SBF!
Grant! bookgirl! Happiest of birthdays for both of you!

Happy Birthday Bookgirl!

Happy Birthday, Grant and Bookgirl!
(Are Grant and Oxlin the oldest non-GAPA MB users?)
Of MBers who have posted recently enough to be considered active, the eldest is Groundhog22, followed by Luna the Lovely. Grant O. and Oxlin are third and fourth.
Almost old enough to start dominating the world in earnest.
Happy Birthday bookgirl!

Happy birthday, Maths Lover!

Calendar says Piggy’s birthday.
Happy birthday, Piggy! Have some pies that magically flavor themselves on the way to your face based on the flavor preference your brainwaves are broadcasting.

Happy Birthday Piggy!

Happy birthday, Piggy!
Hope it’s a great one!
Happy birthday, Piggy!
Piggy! Happiest of birthdays!

Thanks, all. My birthday hasn’t been great so far, and y’all are cheering me up quite a bit.
…I can’t figure out, though, why the announcement suggests vegan pies. I don’t think I’ve ever had a vegan pie before, either in the sense of a pie made with vegan ingredients or a pie made with vegans as ingredients. I think I’d prefer the former, but who knows?
The obvious pies to pelt you with would involve pork products, which would be plainly inappropriate for projectile-pastry providers possessing pro-vegan proclivities.
Voilà ! In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villian by the vicissitudes of fatePerhaps pies purchased from purveyors peculiar to Kokonino County could cull the question of correct culinary contents and summarily surmount this certainly striking sustenance-strewing struggle. The Hare & Hedgepig has heard of handy harbors housing huge halls of foodstuffs from which friends can find a fine, fairly free of fuss, fullness of food.
well happy birthday!!! i am sorry you havn’t been enjoying it so far =(
Happy Birthday Piggy!
What a great day to have a birthday, Earth Day!
Bearthday.
Every year I try that portmanteau, but I can’t help but pronounce the first syllable as “bear”, the animal, which throws things off.
The first syllable isn’t “bear;” it’s “bearth.”
Yes, I know; I could’ve made that clearer.
Alles Gute zum Geburtstag, Piggy!
I’m afraid I don’t quite know enough vegans in my vicinity to make a pie out of them, but I’ll make a note in my calender for next year.
Happy Birthday to the unquestioned smartest person on the blog, Piggy!
I seriously question that.
I have an enormous amount of respect for Piggy (and for you), so please no one take this the wrong way, but I feel as though there’s a certain amount of value-assigning going on here. Actually, it’s something I’ve noticed cropping up from time to time from various people, with regard to a number of other MBers. It doesn’t matter who has been doing it, and I don’t remember anyway, but it’s something that’s been bothering me.
I feel as though we’re perpetuating a sort of subtle undertone in which some people’s posts matter more than others, and some people are more valued than others. I know that we’re all Musers here, and that everyone is supported. This is a wonderful community we have here and I’m immensely thankful to be a part of it and to know all of you. It’s for that reason that I feel a bit of a sting when I see posts heralding specific MBers as somehow the best.
I do not mean that there’s somehow something wrong with celebrating MBers for being their amazing selves. What does upset me, though, is the feeling that there’s a pedestal with room for only the few, or an in-club and and out-club.
I tried to phrase that gently, because I don’t want to accuse anyone of anything. But it continues to make me feel hurt whenever I see it.
That Friend speaks my mind.
(Quaker-ism.)
I feel the same way. Everyone here has contributed a lot and I don’t really value anyone over anyone else–everyone here is a genuinely wonderful person for whom I have a lot of respect. Unfortunately, I’m often put in the awkward position of being on the receiving end of preferential language. I don’t like it–the only thing it does is make me uncomfortable. I’ve tried to object, but whatever I say sounds like false humility and seems to have the opposite effect of what I want.
We’re all Musers here, and we all bring something unique and invaluable to this community. If anyone should be appreciated more than anyone else it would be the GAPAs, for the sheer amount of work they put in, but I know they would also dispute anything that tries to make the playing field uneven.
I’m not sure what I’m trying to say, but–Tess, I agree with you one hundred percent.
I’m sorry, I was just trying to be nice, and I think you are far, far, smarter than me.
I’ve always thought you were smarter than me, so I guess we’re at an impasse. I suggest we solve it by eating and/or throwing some pies. What would you prefer–apple? key lime? French silk? pecan? a nice, aerodynamic coconut cream?
Thank you–that’s exactly what I wanted to say, but I couldn’t think of how to say it.
Have a happy birthday, Piggy!
Happy birthday Piggy and Ducky!

Have a HIPPY HAPPY HOPPY HIPPO birthday, everyone who had a birthday in the past 23 days!
