It’s like this:
Previous April Fools’ Day celebrations on the blog consisted of pretend-takeovers by various nefarious entities. MBers were getting tired of that (last year, some of you were so uncomfortable with Victorian diction that you clammed up entirely), so this year we decided we’d do something simpler: We’ve found a bunch of goofy plug-ins and unleashed them on the blog. Text will appear distorted, rainbows and unicorns will appear if you don’t move your mouse every five seconds or so, and — oh, yes — there’s an Asteroids game embedded that will allow you to destroy the home page if you can find and activate it.
Silly enough for for you? If not, try a little Pac-Man:
[Sorry! We’ve taken it offline now. Maybe some other year. –Admin.]
[8:30 p.m. MuseBlog time on April 1: we’ve decided to leave the unicorns and the Asteroids game up overnight for the late-night crowd. Everything else will be restored to what passes for normal around here. Sorry, Comic Sans fans! –Admin.]
This is awesome! I’m going to try to find the home page!
Oh my god, you amazing people. You, uh…you didn’t happen to hide the Asteroids script in the 42nd line of Museblog’s source, did you?

I found it, but if you right click the homepage and hit view page source and scroll to line 42, that’s where the javascript link for Asteroids is found
I’ve been clicking it on the sidebar and it won’t let me play. I’m not sure why/ how to start it.
Oxlin: I’ve just added the button to a post. Maybe that will work better for you.
I found it with F12, but couldn’t get it to start up. Then I checked here again and just used the sidebar. So much fun!
About Pac Man and Asteroids: MB just got even crazier.
About the distorted text: That’s funny.
About the unicorns: AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *hides under bed whimpering* I hate pink, I hate sparkles and I caking hate unicorns!
As far as an April Fools blog is concerned, well done!
Uh-oh. I think I enjoyed myself a bit too much destroying the blog…
You can shoot the sparklies with the asteroids, if that makes you feel better.
Love the asteroids, but I somehow managed to get two games going at once. Twice the destruction!
But on the unicorns and text: WHY COMIC SANS D:
Hm. This is… interesting. I like to read upside-down, so that’s not bad, and it’s quite funny to see the unicorns and rainbows pop up–I notice they never appear in the place where your cursor is–but it is also distracting. I have to admit I don’t especially like having to read comments with all the unicorns floating around. I’m kind of afraid to try the Asteroids thing until 30 minutes before the time I’m not allowed to use the computer past.
It’s a little difficult to play Pac-Man when sparkly unicorns keep obscuring the view…

Gleep!
There’s a sort of warping effect if you shoot off into the Woven Beyond in the game, sometimes the shots come back around the other side.
I just blew up ALL of MuseBlog! Which is so weird to say in Comic Sans. So worth bringing my laptop to the hotel. Happy April Fool’s, MB! I JUST BLEW UP UNICORNS! This is great.
Comic Sans! Unicorns! Awesomeness!
MuseBlog: proving that HTML and CSS don’t have to validate to be displayed since 2012.

Oh, my. I come back to look and this is what I find.
Random words are flashing! Aaaagh! Also, the Comic Sans makes me want to strangle small fluffy creatures.
I think it’s the words
