Thank you, Agent Hippie, Bibliophile, and my dear blogsister!
SFTDP. Oh cake. There goes that disguise. Eh, it was probably obvious, so no matter.
Happy Birthday Randomosity! I hope people give you lots of books about tardigrades. I’ve recently become interested in them. Tardigrade don’t care.
Anyway, your avatar is amazing, too. Just so you know.
And of course, to Red Tailed Hawk as well!
Thanks!
If it’s alright for me to go a bit off-topic, do you know of any specific books about tardigrades? I’ve had trouble finding any. I know of two nonfiction books specifically about them: one is in German, the other in Italian. I’ve heard of English translations but can’t find any and am usually told that if they ever get in stock, they’ll be at least 60 dollars each basically everywhere. I have seen them mentioned in other non-fiction books, though, and I actually found a science-fiction series with a few tardigrade characters, which was awesome: the WondLa books by Tony DiTerlizzi, who happened to illustrate the Spiderwick Chronicles. (There’s also a book by someone I’ve never heard of with giant tardigrades that invade someone’s home planet while some other aliens try to figure out a message from someone who calls enself God, but it didn’t look very good, so I haven’t read it). Not to mention that amazingly hilarious musical, “Water Bears in Space,” which you can watch for free online, legally. One of the scientist characters reminds me of my prophetess persona. I should probably clarify that it is not based on the actual mission that sent tardigrades into space, which was named after the TARDIS and also really fascinating.
(Also I see what you did there with your reference).
Try worldcat. Worldcat dot org. You might have to ask your librarian to help you interlibrary loan some of them, but you’ll get them eventually!
R101! HAWK! Happiest of birthdays!

R101, I’m so glad you’re on MuseBlog and you’re a completely flammy (and possibly flammable, whee!) friend in real life as well! *sends over virtual choklit* Hope you had an awesome day! (Because, as you’ve probably been told a lot before, you’re very, very awesome.)
You’re the best.
