The vernal equinox occurs at 12:38 a.m. (blog time, i.e., U.S. Central Daylight time) on Thursday, March 20. By the time most of you read this, it will be spring in the northern hemisphere. Oh, and happy autumn to MBers in New Zealand and other points south of the equator.
Patience, Please
This site is under reconstruction and will look strange for a while. We regret the inconvenience.
Yay! Spring!
It actually feels like it should be summer break. But the good thing is: spring break!
And hopefully it will be getting warmer. It’s still so cold.
Yay! Spring!
Of course, it all depends on which calendar you go by. Some people would argue (and I think I am among them) that Spring started at Imbolc, in early February. Therefore, this is the middle of Spring, not the beginning.
It actually still feels like winter over here. Darned snow.
Happy Equinox!
Equi= equal
Nox= night
Yay Latin!
You call this spring? We have a winter storm warning here.
*curses the weather*
Happy spring, all.
There is a little (semi-dead) grass showing, if that counts…
our temp. is currently at….38 farenhiet, ah, well, at least it’s not in the twenties.
Global warming? Yeah, right. More like Global Freeze-Beavo-To-Death.
…ing.
Spring? Where? All I see are the piles of snow outside.
*rolls eyes* Bramblewood, today is the first day of Spring.
UNGH, I hate snow. At least it’s melting considerably. You can see our mailbox now.
*sigh* sometimes the first day of spring is my birthday. Most of the time, it’s the day before. I still like to pretend that the first day of spring is the 21st. Yay!!! Spring starts tomorrow.
Thank you for remembering us down here
It dosnt feel very autumnally
3- SNOW??? I am being so utterly CRAZY as to drive over there where there is SNOW? Why didn’t anyone tell me? Luckily I haven’t packed yet.
Alice, we’ve been griping about snow this entire time.
-REJOICES-
nothing else can be said about spring here. ahhhh~~~
15- But you don’t live in/near Spokane, which is where I’m going to kokonvene with Meow and IBCF this Saturday, and where apparently there is SNOW!
*grumbles*
I’m a bit worried though now, because we’ve got to get over the pass and all that, and if there’s snow…
Pan’s First Day Of Spring:
–Wake up at incredibly early hour to check out of hotel and get to LEIMUN (Lake Erie International Model United Nations) conference held at Kent State University’s Ashtabula Campus.
–Debate in last committee session of the conference, for 3 hours.
–Awards Ceremony
–Drive in a car for 4 hours
I think it’s about 30 degrees here now, but in Ashtabula we got 4 inches of snow and it was much colder.
*shudder*
10- *joins chant* SPRING BREAK! SPRING BREAK!
Unfortunately I have a really lame spring break this year. It involves me reading 8 books, 7 of which need summaries written, in the next 10 days.
It’s also very cold here.
So much for spring. I’m completely depressed because it has been beautiful weather lately, but it is snowing now. We might get a foot! Anyway, my best friend from my old town was supposed to visit today, but she is snowed in. I can’t even go out.

What! One of my sad faces didn’t work! *sigh*
[You have to put two spaces between smileys for a series to work. In the meantime, the Smiley Gnome fixed your previous post. –Admin.]
‘-Admin’ sounds so official and serious. Yet, Smiley Gnome sounds very MB. So, problem solved.
My spring break isn’t until April. Crap.
(22) To have both in one post is most MBish of all, don’t you think?
Hmm, yesterday I went to D.C and the NGA to see woodcuts. There was an amazing photo exhibit, too.
And a sweatshirt.
Then I went and got the living daylights scared out of me at the Folger while watchine Macbeth.
Today I cleaned my room. And scrubbed it. And I’m wearing flip-flops.
17 – It’s not that much, at least where I am. 2-3 inches fell today, but it’s pretty much all melted.
Are you coming over tonight or tomorrow morning?
23- Absolutely so, Rebecca.
24- I hates you, flip-flop wearer. I still have to wear snow boots to school.
26~ Well, it wasn’t really warm enough to be wearing flip-flops, actually, I was freezing. It was snowing/sleeting/slushing here today though, so I won’t have them out for awhile it seems. *sigh* But don’t hate me over it!
It actually felt like spring time today. We could wander around Spokane as much as we wanted, and it was warm and breezy. No snow (like yesterday) at all, except a little at IBCF’s house.
It was 40 last night (farenheit).
27- I tried wearing flipflops today, but my mom wouldn’t let me out of the house. Darn moms.
Happy Easter, everyone!
29~ Aww.
It was about 40 degrees here earlier in the afternoon. I’m not sure what it is now, but cool enough that I’m going to put on a sweatshirt when I go outside later.
Yay! I love spring!
It;s my favorite season!
Spring? Really? Since when? It’s SO COLD here… for spring.
I have terrible allergies. *sneeze*
Spring gardening!!!!!!
Can’t you guys feel it?! That wonderful sunny, springy, planty feeling? Doesn’t it make just want to run outside and throw seeds around? *goes outside to water garden*
Ah, lovely spring weather. I hear that we’re having a high of 37 and one to three inches of snow today. *shivers*
*has a snow day*
Hey Musers! Spring is sorta here. . . . Still cold in NY and very rainy today. I love looking at the tulips in our community garden! I also love hot pink bunnies!
36- Hey, look! A neophyte! *pies*
36- Hi, Mallory! Welcome to MuseBlog!
*pies*
36- Hello, Mallory! Nice to meet you.
Our spring here in Pittsburgh is always pathetic. The flowers are always lovely but Pittsburgh probably has overcast skies 300 days a year. There’s only so much you can appreciate from spring without a proper sun.
That was an exaggeration. We get sun fairly often and the weather was nice for a spell and then died again. We haven’t gotten any snow again, but the weather’s been too chilly to fully appreciate springtime.
*used “appreciate” too much*
¡Hola Mallory! Nice to meet you and so far you don’t seem like a hopeless newbie!
Welcome! *pies*
36-Mallory, well hello there! Here you will find lots and lots of pies. Where you ask? *pies Mallory with banana and strawberry filling cake* WELCOME!!
Also (sorry about the double post!) I was born on March 20th, the first day of “spring” but on that day when I was born, there was a BLIZZARD!!!!!!!
