The June Random Thread continues after a typically ebullient Part 1. The graphic continues unchanged as well, because the artist is on the road, but we can provide slightly updated lyrics:
Svmer is icumen in,
Lhude sing Kokko!
Sprouteth grass and outeth class
And Musers homeward go,
Sing Kokko!
Last thread, 368 – No kidding. It has mostly subsided, but the hail was 1/4 inch!
First post?
Ack! *is, like Cat’s Meow, going through a thunderstorm*
Thunderstorms can be scary somethimes. A bolt of lightning flashed just by our house, and the rain’s coming down in sheets…
Last thread, 367- Yeah, all my senior friends graduated a week ago, not that there were that many of them.
Wow. I’m just suffering from very cold toes and a cloudy sky.
2 – You probably are getting the storm that just came through here. It sort of looked like those videos they play on TV of hurricanes, to be honest. Of course, you probably already know that, considering that you’re going through it too. It has mostly passed here, but we’re still getting occasional thunder and lightning.
Oh, wait. My dad just said that you live in the opposite direction right now, so you’re getting what we’re going to get in a little while. Joy.
3 – Yeah, it was no big deal in 5th and 6th grade, when I wasn’t really friends with any 8th graders, but this year they’re so awesome.
Replies to previous thread posts:
278 – I’m sorry to hear about that Vixen! I don’t recall any circumstances that severe, but I have had experiences of wanting to be friends with someone and being pushed away. It would be awesome if you could come live here and go to my school and then we wouldn’t have to worry about it! But at least there is the MB.
I forget which post # it was, but congrats POSOC!
334 – I would gladly trade places with you, at least for the summer months! In Kentucky, it got hot in early May and it’s going to stay swealteringly, sweat-inducingly so until October, but there aren’t any beaches nearby. People here spend their summers holed up in their houses with the AC on full power.
Is there really going to be a DC kokon this summer? If so, when?
If there’s going to be a DC Kokon between July 26th and July 30th, I may be able to attend.
5- re Graduation: I am suffering from what can only be termed Delayed Anxiety. All of the stress which I put off during the last two weeks of school by thinking “It’s almost summer vacation” is thundering down on me like a tidal wave. Headache, nausea… ugh.

My life is spinning away from me. Faster than a speeding car, its skidding and I’m going to crash. Hard
I’ve gone back to my old habits. Again.
Damn it. I had gotten so far since rehab. I cant actually believe that I’ve started again, or that I’m even telling you guys this.
I just need the control in my life again.
If my parents find out again …………… oh crap I’m gonna be in psychiatrists offices non-stop. Maybe worse again.
This. Really. Sucks.
And in case you’re wondering what it is.
*tiny voice*
My anorexias back.
And I’m not a neophyte. I’ve been here for a while now. I just can’t actually tell anyone.
Ahhh mid-terms are in a week and a half and I havent started studying yet
haha. I need to get top of my class in maths so I get moved up to year 11 maths – because i already know everything in year 10 maths.
So isn’t this funny – they are having me tutor students in that are a couple older than me.
Here I am, only just 14, tutoring 15-17 year olds.
Haha. Man wait till my friends hear this. they’ll take the piss out of me.
Not much to report here. Can’t even think of another funny “how to”.
that above post should be:
they are having me tutor students in that are a couple years older than me.
sorry for double posting
anonymous-
Actually I think I know who you are, but I could be wrong…
All right, everyone, see ya next week. I’m going to go on a kayaking trip as soon as I get home and won’t be back till the 16th. Bye! *waves*
Oh, and by the way, my Plan for the last day of school is to speak Shakespearian English from the first bell to the last.
8 – Oh, wow. -hugz and chocolate- If there’s anything that we can do to help, just let us know.
14 – That sounds fun.
storm?
hmmmmmm…………….this graphic is awesome, but not one of my favorites.
Oh yeah, and I posted another part of my COSMOS story on Books in Progress.
Anonymous- *Hugs* I don’t know what to say. Is there anything that we can do to help you?

SCHOOL’S OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
24-E.
I would like all of those names if they were capitalized. /grammarfreakishness
School is over. Yay? I am glad that finals are over, and summer’s here… this year has been really long
The seniors didn’t have to go to school this week except for monday anyway, so I shouldn’t be sad.
So I guess I’m a junior now? Though technically we have 45 min. of optional school tomorrow where we can wander into the lunchroom, get our grades, and leave. I wish we signed yearbooks like in middle school… but we don’t get them until a month or so into next year. : /
And one of the most beautiful songs on my ipod just came on, I’ve been listening to it a lot these past few days considering I just heard it for the first time on monday. I posted the lyrics on the Song Lyrics thread… 3rd Planet by Modest Mouse.
Anonymous- Don’t worry. You can break out of this. And we’ll help in any way we can, if you want us to.
Anonymous- Don’t worry! Bad things always happen! Terrible things sometimes happen! I did something quite stupid once and felt the same way you do. After a couple days of that, I simply changed my perspective on the whole affair and it became much better. Like Jadestone said, we’ll help if you need it.
10- I know what it feels like, I tutored almost my entire class last year, and, believe me, though most of them weren’t older, it was still awkward.
24- I like E, but the others are good too.
You know, Doctor Doom never actually finished his doctorate… ooh, liar! Liar!
Anonymous, the most important thing to remember in a situation like yours is that you’re not alone. As a matter of fact, you’re never alone. Even when nobody is physically in the same room with you, there are always those who are with you in spirit. Your friends, your family, your small army of MuseBloggers. We are all thinking of you.
Anonymous-I’m so sorry for you! I’m going through something hard too right now, but I can’t talk about it yet. More Later!
Life is back to normal… It’s weird. I’m not even spelling.
It’s the first day of SUMMER!
8- Is there a way we can help?
24- Pick D. Please.
24- I like D.
SCHOOL. IS. OVER!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes! I am so, so, HAPPY!!!!!!!! School is over! I’m going kayaking! The sun has come out! And I watched Romeo and Juliet in English!
You know, Romeo and Juliet isn’t a very good story at all. The only thing that makes it worth watching or reading is the language (or the acting, sometimes). But “William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet” is very good on several levels.
Plus Leonardo di Caprio is very cute.
8 – Man, that sucks.
36- I agree, I didn’t really like R&J. Juliet was basically an overdramatic emo and Romeo a pansy… Hamlet, on the other hand, I really liked. It’s much better.
Hi. I haven’t been posting regularly for a while.
Mez sorry.
Today I ate half the mulberry’s off a tree in my yard. And I got a 560 out of 600 on my Pre-Al exam. Life is pretty good.
I do bite my thumb at you sir
I liked Romeo and Juliet. It’s overdramatic of course, and all the move adaptations are pretty lol, but honestly it has to be that way to give you the OU GOD THE ANGST, THE INJUSTICE, THE WEEPING AND SUDDEN ROMANCE vibe. It’s fun if nothing else.
Twelth Night is great, too. Oh and that reminds me, I’ve been meaning to read Hamlet!
I have such a backlog of movies and books and whatnot that it’s ridiculous.
in other news :CCCCC I got a C+ in math…urgh I should still have about a 3.7 GPA I guess but argh this is what happens…no on to blame but myself of course lol but it still sucks.
In case anyone cares, I have recently befriended a cantankerous little smiley named Maurice. I often use Maurice to punish people who’s posts he deems unnecessary or annoying by means of bazookas and pies. The reason for this is that I am too gutless, spineless, and weak to reprimand my fellow bloggers myself. So try not to get on my/Maurice’s nerves, or you may soon find yourself pied or exploded via bazooka.

ONLY FOUR MORE EXAMS LEFT BEFORE FREEDOM IS ACHIEVED!!!! I just have to write French (meh…) English (Wheee!!!!), Physics (ok…) and …DUN DUN DUN…MATH!!!!! (Cue music from Psycho
I don’t like math, hey?
Where did my other parentheses go? (SAD TROMBONE)
Hi everyone! I won’t be going on this weekend, as a result of me going camping. Bye!
My last post was 12:02 AM, blog time. SCAMPs, I think you need to get some sleep!
…Unless it’s Paul moderating, in which case he’s up bright and early.
Anyhoo, it’s almost 11 PM where I am, so I’ll be turning in soon. ‘Night, all.
36 – I know what you mean. Romeo and Juliet is not one of my favorite Shakespeare plays. I seem to like his really light comedies (eg Twelfth Night) or really dark tragedies (eg Hamlet). Incidentally, I saw a really interesting version of Comedy of Errors last night. The set-up was that they were making a movie of Comedy of Errors in London during WWII. There was a whole framing story.
For TCF’s poll :D.
Most of the bridges are closed. Floods. Water tretment plant is currently being sandbaged. the summer program I’m going to was canceled.
~~~
We had no internet all day yesterday
Friday the 13 is unlucky.
Cricket blog is still to buggy to go online (Get it, Bugs?), but Spider and ladybug are up.
I got my hair done and I wasn’t allowed to get the purple or any other crazy colors. I think I’m allergic to something though, because my neck got all itchy. I think it was the new shampoo they told me to use. Ah whatever. I’m not using that anymore.
Anywayyy…on Tuesday I’m leaving and going to Peru! Woo!
Lalalalalalalallalalalalalala! Hello everyone! Just another wonderful day of summer. Sadly, tomorrow will by last day here for 2 whole weeks! (vacation time) However, I will be back quickly after our adventures have come to an end!
Four words: Last. Day. Of. School.
INTERVIEW WITH A SKRULL
Kai: Hello everybody, and welcome to Interviews With Evil Aliens! Today I’m talking to one of those shape-shifting scourges of Marvel Comics- a Skrull warrior. Say hi to the viewers, guest.
Skrull: Hello humans, who I will soon enslave.
Kai: Right then, my first question is- is that green humanoid form you’re in now what you guys really look like?
Skrull: Yes, when we are not impersonating you inferior races, we look like this. Why do you ask?
Kai: Because those forms look awfully similar to human bodies, which, as you probably know, is the result of many chance mutations and evolutionary accidents. Is your homeworld very like Earth?
Skrull: No, it’s in the Andromeda Galaxy and very different.
Kai: Then the odds that you all would look so very much like humans- and yet are reptilians- are almost infinitesimal.
-Silence-
Skrull: Well, don’t your experts say that if your dinosaurs had not gone extinct they would have been roughly humanoid looking, like the Dinosauroid hypothetical model?
Kai: Experts now agree that the Dinosauroid model only appears human because people like it when stuff looks like them and the guys who made it didn’t really do enough thinking. If dinosaurs had evolved, paleontologists say that they would have looked… pretty much like dinosaurs!
-Silence-
Kai: Any response?
Skrull: I will conquer this planet!
-Presses button to teleport Skrull safely elsewhere-
Kai: Typical fictional alien. Withers when exposed to hard facts. Tune in next time when I’ll interview a Decepticon!
And, back to reality.
It’s horribly disturbing that the nicest out-of-school time I’ve had in weeks has come only because I made everybody leave me alone while I cried about the end of school.
-sighhh-
51- Those :cry:s should be :Ds. Or is your school more enjoyable than mine?
52- Looking forward to it!
KAI: “So, how is it that you have EXACTLY the correct mass and components to transform into a fully functioning police car, even though you’ve never been to Earth before?”
BARRICADE: “Um…”
I got my SOL results!!!
Math, I got a 560.
History I got a full 600.
I don’t have Language Arts, but I’m pretty sure I got a 600 on that too, because it was so damn easy.
Hello everybody!
RtH: Hi! We are having a great time at this, the June 13th kokonvention! Friday the 13th!
Lady Bunniful:Having a wonderful time, wish you were here!
Hi, guys! Nice to “see” you.
54- Tell me some evil, scientifically inacurate aliens you want me to do interviews with in the future!
58- um, those ones from Indina jones? E.T.? Jar-Jar? Yoda? spock? Vogons?
RtH 57-Hi Robert! Nice to “see” you too!
Lady B. is leaving soon…
Red-tailed HAWK
(60) Too bad. I hope you gave her good things to eat.
um…what is this conver. about?
iŹ√Ҳ!
Several conversations are proceeding simultaneously here. KaiYves has been interviewing scientifically inaccurate fictional aliens. Cat’s Meow is lamenting the end of school. Lady Bunniful has just spent the afternoon visiting (in person, not on the blog) Red-tailed HAWK and his family and is now driving toward my house, bearing, I understand, brownies. The HAWK clan knows what GAPAs like!
Tomorrow, I am going far, far away…because a few states away is pretty far away. And I’ll be back in a week or so, next Sunday..
Hm. What am I doing? Ah. That’s right. Pondering.
*ponders some more*
56~ Cool, Lady B. is at RtH’s house? That sounds fun! Oh, and it reminds me, Rebecca, did you get my Mom’s email?
*ponders pondering*
54 – That’s likely. This has been my favorite school year ever. Besides, at least half my friends are 8th graders, and just graduated. So, yes, the
smilies are quite deserved.
56 – Oh yeah. I completely forgot that it was Friday the 13th. Ha, now I have an excuse to avoid using an X-Acto knife.
I’ve had an awful Friday the 13th! And an awful Thursday the Twelfth! Depressing Story: My family adopted a younger sister, S. This was four months ago. The birthparents are C, (the mom), and R, (the dad). They were in a short term relationship. C got pregnant, and R refused to give her $ to abort. C had S, and we adopted her. R was grumpy, but didn’t do anything. The deadline for R to contest was Wednesday, at 10:30 am. The Court said the worse the news, the sooner they’d let us know. On Thursday, at 4:00 pm, we got a call. R contested. Now we have to go to court. It’s so awful, because we’ve gotten so attached to S over these 4 months. R hasn’t even come to see her, or asked for photos! Now they might take her away… This also, on a less major note, does wreck our summer. Life is awful.
I’m not sure what I can say or do that would help, but have some tasty fruit pies in addition to all the chocolate. *virtual pie goodness*
24 – I like D, but they all sound good.
42 – Ugh, I loathe math too. It makes my brain want to explode.
56 – You had a Kokon? Fun!
Heavy Friday-the-13th-charged storms killed the power on my street for a few hours. :p
I just watched Anakin’s Betrayal on YouTube.
Call me a geek, but it absolutely broke my heart.
I had to watch the Star Wars music video (using the song Mana Mana) to cheer me up. It’s hilarious…
54- Don’t be dissing on Transformers now D: Bumblebee is mah lover.
But I enjoyed that, Kai, it was amusing.
I want a Transformer/Ironman suit. Haven’t decided which I want more yet. (I saw Ironman today, pretty good (in a wheeee type of movie, not a film)).
Bumblebee rocks! What a great movie!
OK. Looks like D won.
coolness
not much to tell here except that my best friend hates me my other best friend hates me more, they were never friends before I came and became friends with both of them, and now they are all tight and are bitchy to me and always try to make me feel bad.
INTERVIEWS WITH EVIL ALIENS
Kai: Hello, everybody, and welcome to Interviews With Evil Aliens! Today I’m talking to an alien invader who should be familiar to anyone who grew up in the 80’s- the Decepticon known as Barricade! Say hello to the viewers, guest.
Barricade: Hello, puny organic life.
Kai: So, you, like all of your, um… kind, are sentient robots created by the alien race known as the Quintessons, right?
Barricade: Right. And when we visit a planet, we rearrange our bodies into the forms of common things there so that nobody suspects anything.
Kai: But when you’re transformed, it’s still you, right?
Barricade: Yes.
Kai: May I pose a hypothetical situation to you? Suppose you were chasing me in your current form and I ran onto a bridge. Now, suppose the bridge limit was 900 pounds, but you must easily weigh over a thousand. What would you do?
Barricade: Change into a car and chase you on the bridge.
Kai: But if you’re still you when you’re transformed and the metal is only rearranged, wouldn’t your mass remain constant? And if your mass remained constant, wouldn’t you still weigh over a thousand pounds and cause the bridge to collapse?
Barricade: Um…
Kai: So, Cybertron is a planet orbiting Alpha Centauri, the closest star to Earth, right? And according to the animated series, it takes you guys about a day to travel back and forth, doesn’t it?
Barricade: Yeah, that’s right.
Kai: That’s certainly impressive. After all, it takes human spacecraft six months to reach Mars. Yet you apparently were on Mars in 2003 but didn’t reach Earth until 2007…
Barricade: Uh, we were sightseeing. Mars is a very nice place.
Kai: Yet none of our orbiting cameras saw you. And another thing- Beagle 2 wasn’t a rover.
Barricade: Listen, kid, I’m going to smash your head-
-Presses teleportation button-
Kai: So typical…tune in next time, when I’ll interview an Imperial Stormtrooper!
69- That’s awful. Did R contest before the deadline or after? Have you read up on the laws? Is there a reason why R and C would be unfit parents? Here, if the courts decide that the parents are unfit to be parents, they can take rights away from them.
I wish you luck!
69 – I’m not familiar with the laws in that situation at all, but best of luck to your side! *chocolate support pies*
73-iron man, absolutely. the second suit. i told andy (the bf) that he had to make me one for my birthday
that was a good movie
so i took the ACT today. wrote a rather interesting essay about how our capitalist, free-trade economy and government would collapse without advertising to enforce competition, etc, etc.
and don’t worry, we spent most of yesterday arranging a bass line for the tetris theme. and climbing around on the roof.
I can’t wait ’till Monday, I can’t wait ’till Monday, I can’t wait ’till Monday……..because we’re having a bonfire and Lady B. is coming over!!! Fun, so I get a mini Kokon. too!
Yesterday evening we watched the Music Man at the library. I LOVE THAT MOVIE!!!! Does anyone else know about it? It’s one of my favorite movies of all time. *starts singing 76 Trombones*
Haha, one time I was talking to this guy and we started discussing music we liked, so i just handed him my iPod; he was looking through the artists and he found a few groups that he knew of and liked, and then he came to Robert Preston, who plays the main character in the movie (I have the soundtrack, obviously) and he goes “Who is that?!”
I then had to explain that it was from one of my favorite movies. When he handed it back his comment was that I “sure had a mix” on it.
80- More! More!
-84 you have an iPod?
84-the music man is fantastic.
i usually relabel musicals and suchlike as the name of the musical so that it’s all together (because i generally listen by artist if it’s not shuffling), so people don’t ask, they just give me funny looks.
86- you don’t?
I have a iPod nano 2GB from last year. it’s more then full.
Yurp. i have two, actually, one of them is too new for my current version of iTunes, so I have to download the new version, and then use it. Or wait for my old one to die, which it’s been threatening to do for a while now.
the earphones are just wires now, I should really dig out the new one and just use them for now……oh well.
I’m dancing about right now, and trying to type at the same time…..ack ,it’s not working too well, spellcheck hates me more than usual at the moment.,…
I want to go to the Star Wars exhibit at the Science Museum. *looks longingly*
90-i went to that! if it’s the same one. it was here at cosi a while ago, but i saw it ages back in GR (or somewhere nearby, i don’t remember if it was actually there)
i don’t remember a lot, do i?
we got our band stuff, we’re going to disney world this year for new year’s! we’re doing the parade and a weird little studio thing where we play disney music and they put it in a movie. but those are just excuses to go to disney
90- I’d like to go, too. But it’s too far from New York.
YAY!
My posterboard is done and shipped!
One more thing off Meow’s shoulders.
However, I’m also very annoyed at my parents. Because I told them 3 months ago that I wanted to do a summer-long soccer camp, and then they forgot to sign me up. And now it’s full.
81-R contested at the deadline, (slightly before). I’m reading up, but there isn’t much we can do. C doesn’t want to be a parent, so she’s relinquishing her rights. R, however, we don’t know about. C is really basically on “our side”, but she doesn’t even know much about him. C entered into a relationship without knowing anything much. Meh.
76) I like C because that way I can remember who you are. Otherwise, I get confused and forget who you are.
69) That’s aweful! You should definately keep the child! I mean, the dad obviously doesn’t care about her, since he didn’t bother to get her back immediately and didn’t even try to find out about her. I don’t think you should have any problem keeping her, unless, of course, the dad has a big-job lawyer, which would be horribly sad.
anonymou So yeah
♥ Kagzs- we’re here for you
Kai- *chuckles and claps* those are funny.
69- I really hope you get to keep S.
This is the first time I’ve actualy read all the posts in a long time. school ends on monday, then I have two exams. I’m doing okay. I had a rough week a while back. I actualy broke down crying in the middle of a hall at school. I hate when I lose control like that. Recently it feels like I’ve been aging but also growing younger at the same time. it’s wierd. I suddenly picked up the habbit of watching arthur when i get home from school. I’ve started crying during movies now, too. I was so close to tears durring Caspar the friendly ghopst. (and at all the times the kid I was babbysitting was laughing too!) other than that I’ve been pretty good. Summer is going to be great. I’m seeing Avenue Q! I’m also probably going to the paradise Comicon! yay! I’m really enjoying life. I hope the GAPAs’ are doing okay and that all you musers are good. Urgh. I just reread what I wrote and it sounds kinda depressing. NO worries please! IT was just a week that was so out of whack from my normal state!
okay somehow my post got messed up. the top part should read :
anonymous- we’re here for you.
and at the bottom it should read:
so yeah.;)
♥ Kagz
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! I can hear crazy people setting off fireworks…… BUT I CAN’T SEE THEM! (hint: that is one of kagu’s biggest pet peeves) why are they even setting off fireworks????
now the crazy people are singing loudly!!!! WHY???????
I’m performing Les Misérables at a theatre camp in August!!! Squeeeeee!
My summer is so packed it’s incredible. Hey, guess what? At my school’s awards ceremony, I got an orchestra award for viola! It was neat.
89–Yurp! I say that too
Awesome word.
I just saw the Phantom of the Opera, the Andrew Lloyd Weber one. It was amazing.
76-E or F.
91 – Niiiiiiice.
92 – I know! It’s a half hour away by car! I want to gooooo… *begs parents*
We’re going tomorrow. Yippee!
Summer started yesterday! Huzzah! I love summer vacation!
I got a new MP3 player from my dad as an 8th grade graduation present! And it comes with 250 preset songs on it. And they all stink. But oh well! *happydance*
Except I think I have to read Great Expectations this summer for English 9 Honors. *unhapydance*
Ah well. Goodnight all.
8- (anonymous)-Remember that we are all here for you, won’t you? And I dare say that you need more than virtual chocolate. I understand that you want to keep it hidden, but please don’t let it get out of control- rehab will always be better than the alternative. I have no idea who you are, but drop the curtain and we’ll all be there for you. We honestly love you more than you know. And if you need anything at all, please let us know?
Dear Musers:
Deep within the cyberspace, in a universe known only to the modern Muser, a conspiracy is afoot. Its mission: world domination. As you probably know, what sets Muse head and shoulders above most ordinary magazines on the rack is the unique culture that has come to be associated with it over its 10+ year existence. What you may not know is that the website musefanpage.com/blog is dedicated to sharing this culture, which it calls ‘La Vida Koko’.â€
You have probably seen various references to MuseBlog in the letterbox. Perhaps you thought this was a place where Muse readers discuss the magazine. Nothing could be further from the truth. In fact, some of the MuseBloggers are extremely ambitious. They’re ambitions extend to everything up to and including taking over the world.
In the troubled times that we live in, a group of MuseBloggers have formed a group of conspirators and sworn nonsecrecy to the common cause. In fact, the mission is so nonsecret that the group constantly tries to get attention.
The reader at this point may ask, “Why is world domination preferable?â€
We Musekonspirators have found the current world leaders incapable of doing their job. Therefore, we have started a plot called the Kokonspiracy, codenamed Mostly Harmless, which calls for world domination, Kokopelli for president, and pies in every face. Already, we have begun carrying out the first stage of our plan: letting people know that we exist. Have you found leaflets with mentions of Muse in your library books lately? Or found washed up bottles on the beach containing messages about Muse? Or seen any other odd things that have to do with Muse?
Don’t be worried if you haven’t, because we can assure you that other people have.
We do use the phrase “world domination†jestingly. What we want is an enlightened society. A society of no wars, no cultural problems such as racism or sexism, and no idiotic politicians getting us into all sorts of trouble. A society where the environment, animals and people are respected.
It sounds like an extremely corny kid’s movie. Pipe dreams. We must remind ourselves that in twenty, thirty or forty years we will be the politicians, the lawyers, the doctors, the juries, the judges, and the grocer at the grocery store. We will be in the position of power.
What this society needs are more people who read Muse. We are not advertising, we are just trying to make the world a better place. If you want to help us make this happen, then visit our site at https://musefanpage.com/blog/?p=1149. We can change the world.
Sincerely (but Resistance is Museless),
The Kokonspirators, soon to be the Kokonquerors
I made a few chenges. Does anyone have any objections if we send it in? I know it was sent in once, but the editors probably took it as a joke.
When no one has any objections to it here, we will post it on the random thread to make sure no one has any problems with it.
And I’ll take full responsability for the contents of this article— so if anyone needs to complain then COMPLAIN TO ME!!!
105–Two small comments.
1. In the second paragraph, “they’re ambitions extend” should be “their ambitions extend.” But I’m sure you knew that.
2. When you say, “We are not advertising, we are just trying to make the world a better place,” you might want to add “through education.” Because making the world a better place is extremely cliché if you don’t explain how you’re going to do it. ^_^
But anyway, it’s a really great article.
106- thanks! Anyone else?
ummm… i’d like several people to send it in, so that it’s not just me…. (and note that the article has had 106’s changes added, i just didn’t want to waste space by reposting it already.¨)
I volounteer to send it in, along with Vixen and a couple other people.
I also volunteered to send it…
108- Great!
Oh, by the way, I thought you guys would be interested that one of my classmates got busted by the police last week. Well, the idiot of a fifteen year old and her friend were sitting in the park smoking ‘juana and this guy comes up to them. He was just wearing shorts and a t-shirt, justa normal dorky guy. So he’s patting their dog and stuff, and then he all of a sudden says, ‘do you girls know who I am?’ And the girls say no, and then he takes his badge out of his pocket. And so my classmate is grounded until the last day of school.
It’s just further proof that my classmates are idiots.
So the list now stands at three with myself, iŹ√Ҳ!, and Beavo. Shall we send it Wednsday? By e-mail?
hey its me again. i was previously known as hypermoocow = polkaspottedcandycane = pie parade = chocokoko = cilroxmysox and then i kinda stopped coming on here due to waaay too much stuff going on. so could someone please catch me up?
112-Catch you up?
Three words, my friend: Madness as usual.
I’m going to meet my friend Andy at the park tomorrow, and then on Tuesday I’m leaving to go to Peru for a week! Woo Peru!
I’m going to take a Muse too, so you might see me in the mag in a few months or however long they take to print those things.
114~ Sounds cool. Have fun!
See ya all, I’m off now. I’ve been on the ‘puter for awhile, and I need to go and finish practicing my violin……the recital is on July 20th, and my teacher wants me to play the hard piece that I’m working on…AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!
And, after that, she’s threatening to start me on the Bach Double Concerto for Two Violins…..eep.
Anyway, I’ll see you all sometime, I have a feeling it’ll be tomorrow, reporting on a Kokonvention….
*dances away singing along with the music blasting from the computer*
105- You forgot the big picture of Kokopelli in an Uncle Sam suit saying “I want YOU!”
114- Awesome!
My friend’s dog is staying with us all week. And my dog is very protective. This should be interesting.
Urg. Barely anyone is posting on any of the threads.
Hey, everybody! Back from visiting relatives for Father’s Day. And it’s not really polite to ask to use somebody’s computer unless they have it out in the open, which my relatives didn’t.
111-Me too! Me too! Me too!
38- Hamlet is awesome. And everyone dies.
40- Well yeah, it’s great fun, and I enjoy, but I can’t really connect to it. It’s not the best of Shakespeare.
51- Wow/ I’m sorry.
Surely you’ll see the 8th grders in high school.
52- Those aliens.
53- Yeah, that’s not good.
56- Yes, we wish we were there too!
Actually, astonishingly enough, at that time I would have preferred to stay where I was.
68- Avoid using an X-acto knife? POR QUÈ? X-Acto knives are awesome!
69- That’s awful. Did R contest before the deadline or after? Have you read up on the laws? Is there a reason why R and C would be unfit parents? Here, if the courts decide that the parents are unfit to be parents, they can take rights away from them.
I wish you luck!
73-iron man, absolutely. the second suit. i told andy (the bf) that he had to make me one for my birthday
that was a good movie
so i took the ACT today. wrote a rather interesting essay about how our capitalist, free-trade economy and government would collapse without advertising to enforce competition, etc, etc.
and don’t worry, we spent most of yesterday arranging a bass line for the tetris theme. and climbing around on the roof.
#
84- Oh my gosh, The Music Man! Haha. I ♥ ed that movie when I was younger, but then I changed my mind after watching it too many times.
96- Hi Kagy! *waves*
98/99- Perhaps they are celebrating the end of school.
Perhaps.
114- Peru? Have fun!
So, that only took about half an hour. *shakes head* Well, at leas I feel caught up.
So, the kayak thing was amazing fun. I did the second half of a butterfly roll (coming up from underneath the water, not going down), although how useful a butterfly is if one capsizes I’m not too sure. But it was fun, and now I feel Accomplished.
I spent most of Friday the 13th wandering around with freezing cold feet, because, although I brought wetshoes, I soon discovered that they weren’t going to stay on long enough to get me over the dangerous oyster shells on the beach. The solution? Wear your regular shoes. The problem? Your feet are wet and cold for the rest of the day. The solution? Borrow your dad’s socks and wear the too-big wetshoes, of course! So my wetshoes were dry and my dry shoes were wet. And my flip-flops were in the tent.
I also learned how to scull, and paddled around in my dad’s skin-on-frame. I don’t see how he fits into it; my legs get horribly cramped, and I’m tiny. I also tried out the little whitewater boats; they were ideal for the games, because they spin around a lot and add confusion.
Earlier today we (the kids, ranging from about five to sixteen, with the exception of a few smaller children and two boys who always won and decided to stay out of it this time) were divided into two teams, given a pile of interesting materials, and told to build a boat, using ALL of the materials. Then we had to race them.
We lost. Actually, the girl who was paddling ended up swimming, and because I really can’t help getting wet at every opportunity, I swam alongside. and then I got out, freezing cold in only my wetsuit (it was such a nice day that I abandoned my spray jacket), and, low and behold! No water for the D family’s handy-dandy portable hot shower! So I had to do without it, and it was cold for a bit.
I had so much sugar. I averaged about five cups of hot chocolate (from a powder, sadly) a day in the three days I was there.
Then this one boy, whom we shall call… oh, fine, I’ll be unoriginal and call him NM. He managed to climb up into a lovely maple tree, and SD and I followed him up (with great difficulty). It was an amazing tree, with huge broad limbs, and yesterday I was in it from, oh, about 6 to 7, then I got down for dinner, then went back up again and skipped the evening program (my dad has the movie anyway). At about 11:15 or so, after pretty much everyone had left and only NM and I were still in the tree, BK (a grownup), came by and decided to tie a knot in our rope and wrap it around the tree trunk.
When one finds their escape route cut off, the entire escapade becomes a great deal less appealing, so NM untied the rope, and I half climbed, half fell down the tree. Luckily for me, BK is a very tall man and helped me down, or I may have been there still.
Then NM and I walked back to camp, and today when I tried to climb the tree, I found that I couldn’t, for some reason. So SD and NM rigged up the rope so that getting up was easier and getting down no longer consisted of sliding into a thin crevasse, getting your feet stuck, and tumbling the rest of the way to the ground.
I am very sad that it ended.
Oops, my last comment shouldn’t have the three other comments in the middle. That’s just a result of my replying-to-an-unholy-number-of-comments strategy, so you can all ignore it.
I have a sunburn on the top of my head. It’s painful to brsh my hair.
There are two good things about this being over:
1. I have soap again.
2. I can finally sleep without waking up in the middle of the night because I’m cold (my sleeping bag didn’t have a zipper).
Wow, yesterday was a very slow day. not very many posts.
120- Four, then. Anyone else?
I was about to completely flip out in class fifteen minutres ago. I just started laughing. I was very restless, and then it just went over the top. I think I’m losing my mind. Or it could just be extreme boredom, not having any friends, stress, and living in the Official House of Hell. Seriously. You walk into my apartment and the sun itself goes out. My step-father has ignored me since friday evening, except to complain taht I haven’t noticed that he has been ignoring me. Which I did notice, I just ignored it.
Hmm. My blood pressure must be rather high right now. I feel so lightheaded. I don’t know what i will do with myself in summer vacation. I can’t bear the thought of going to Berlin with my step-dad. he hates traveling, on bus and train, he always complains and gets so freaking mad at me. How can I make it to berlin?
Hi!
Vixen-Did you see my post 360 on the previous random thread? Also, in the article, I would like to suggest we take out the link to the kokonspiracy thread. First of all, that thread is the old one, and by the time they print the letter (If they do) we’ll surely be on to another thread. Maybe just send them to the blog and have them be directed to the current thread when they get there.
Red-tailed HAWK
Vixen- Oh, dear. We’re always here to keep as sane as possible. OK, maybe not as sane as possible, but at least mentally healthy.
I’m so tired… I was sleeping beautifully but then Daddy woke me up so that he could explain the chores he wanted me to do.
I went to the park today and met Andy and we found a turtle. Then there was a dog and Andy started speaking German or Russian to it. I don’t even know.
Wooo I leave tomorrow!!! At 4:30 am. But yayyyy!
*dances* *studies Spanish*
123- ME TOO!! Don’t forget me. I wanna be on there.
122 – Weird! I’ve never heard of a sunburn on the top of your head. I think my hair’s too thick for that to happen.
-111 yep Wednesday it is. last time i sent the article, i hadn’t figured out about copying and pasting, so i had to type it all over again. that was sad.
121- Hey Alice! *waves*
LAST DAY OF SCHOOOOOOOL! w00t! It didn’t feel like it though. I’m going to miss the grade 12s on the improv team. It won’t be the same without L on the improv team…. There were about 8 people in my last period class because everyone had mostly left early. It was a pretty good day. My school is sort of known as a slacker/druggie school but it’s great. I totaly love all my teachers. unfortunately my favrite teachers don’t teach grade 10…. *frowns* ah well. Happy Summer!
lucky!!!!!!
mine isnt till thursday the 19th
who wants a kokovention in CT? we could do the wadssoth antheneum and mark twain’s house and stuff. or just wear museisn t shirts the J. Fostrer’s Ice Cream Place
130-Yay! Happy summer! Kagy, would you like to come back to the Seahawk? I need to visit that thread myself…
Anyone see post 124? It’s kind of important
Red-tailed HAWK
Second to last day of school. Murph.
I just played the overature to Phantom of the Opera 42 times on iTunes.
Yes, I’m obsessed.
131-Are you new? *pies*
Judging by your knowledge of kokonventions, I don’t think you’re new, but I don’t know…
Red-tailed HAWK
133 – I feel sorry for you. My school got let out last week and I felt soooooo overwhelmed by school that I exploded when school ended. My sincere sympathy.
CAMPITYCAMPCAMP!
On Friday! Sadly I will be gone for eight weeks but ah well! It’ll be fun for me! I look forward to mucho swimming and craftiness.
132- sure, I’d love to. don’t know how long I’ll stay, though.
THE GATHERING IS NEXT WEEK!
Unfortunately I can say no more. Top-secret stuff. No joke.
I’m really tired for a long time now.
But Ugly Casanova is good.
Goodbye grammars.
ATTENTION WUNG LOVERS!
I am planning to create a society dedicated to wungs and those who love them, from professional wungologists to amateur wung-watchers to wung companions: The International Wung Fanciers’ Association! If interested, meet me here.
84 – Music Man = amazing. Lol, the reaction I usually get from people looking at my iPod is “you scare me.”
96 – Avenue Q and Comicon? *envies*
99 – Weird, people have been doing stuff like that here too. Maybe the heat went to their heads.
114 – Sweet, have fun! I’m regretting not taking a Muse with me when I was in Prague…oh well, I’ll just have to go somewhere else interesting to snap a picture.
123 – I can submit it via email if you still need people.
Chocolate maybe? I once heard dark chocolate was good for blood pressure. *chocolate pies for the road*
133 – I love that overture! Gives me chills every time I hear it.
138 – Gathering as in Kokonvention?
Yikes, I’ve been online too long. Time for some fresh air.
136-I have lots of day camp, but no sleep-away!
One more final tomorrow, and I’m free! SQUEEE!!!
Then I have all sorts of random camps and such. Which is neat.
Goodnight everyone, I’m off for now….
Actually, I’m going to get my fiddle and concertina and play a tune each…..and then FALL ASLEEP.
My brother is trying to steal my raspberries!
And today was the last Girl Scout meeting, so we had a “party” (which I forgot about and was 1 1/2 hours late to) where we discussed all the random things we have done over the years.
Well, the best topic was the infamous Bacon in a Paper Bag Incident. We were camping, and someone had told our leader to try cooking bacon in paper bags over a campfire. (she didn’t actually think it would work, calm down.) So we did. The grease soaked through and the bacon fell into the fire. We laughed our heads off.
It still cracks me up…
138 – Have fun! (I know what it is you speak of.) Unfortunately, we couldn’t work it in this year.
121, Re: 51 – Some of them I will. But, since my school is a magnet school, lots of them are going to different high schools.
68 – I had to cut a circle out for my posterboard, and anything to do with my posterboard was bothering me greatly.
-sniffles- I’m sick.
So I’m just hoping I get better by Friday.
IBCF!!! I have asked you this at least five times on different threads, but you never replied, so will you please answer it this time?
Can you come to the kokonvention?
147 – I understand about friends going to different high schools. In my town, it’s common to go to the public school for elementary and middle school and switch to parochial school in high school, so several of my friends are going to Catholic school next year. I’m also going to a different school in 10th grade.
148 – Yeah, I’d kind of like to know that too. I’m leaving for Washington DC on Friday, and won’t be back until July 2nd. If it’s still happening, we need to start making some serious plans right now.
I completely understand about the different high schools thing. Half of my school is going to a different high school than me. It’s to do with the location and such. It’s weird.
147- You’re not the only sick one here. I woke up this morning feeling terrible. You’re not supposed to get sick in summer. *sigh*
It. is. summer.
This needs to sink in… now.
Just because I am at summer school to get ahead in credits does not mean I have to be stressing out. It’s too late for them to kick me out of it for only being a junior now, and besides I’m tied for highest grade in the class… grr…
But seriously, I should not be stressed. Yes, I have that AP US History homework, and the spanish packet to look through, but dammit it was only last friday we got out of school. I have time.
So why am I stressing out about it now??
Took my math exam today. Don’t think I did too well. No “interview” yet, but here’s a song parody, to the tune of “Frosty the Snowman”:
Otzi the iceman
Was an ancient, frozen soul
With a copper ax and some blue tatoos
And some snowshoes shaped like bowls
It must have been quite a surprise
When the hikers Otzi found
They screamed until their cheeks were red
And kept running around
Otzi the iceman
Had long since passed away
So they all said “Run and tell everyone
We’ll be on the news today!”
Down in the village
All the experts made a plan
“We’ll send a chopper to that ledge
And bring down the iceman!”
They rushed him down
The streets of town
In, past the museum shop
And since that day in ’91, our learning’s never stopped
Otzi the iceman’s
Stuff is now on display
And the folks walk by and you hear them sigh
“Oh, those far-off ancient days.”
have an exam tomorrow. science. urgh. I need to study static electricity. bleah. no school feels weird. I slept late today. It was wonderful.
I’m in Honors Math next year! (My Elementary didn’t have Honors, so this excites me greatly!)
138-“THE GATHERING”? What is it? Praytell…
152 – Aww.
We can be sick together, then.
150- Ooh, have fun in DC! Sorry you’re sick…
154- Oh, very clever.
To my great relief, we’re filming early-mid October and not early September, so if I can just wait patiently till Labor day weekend, I’ll have another kayak gathering and see the D~s, and MK, and maybe NM.
Gosh, our house is a mess! My mom’s been working, and I’ve been gone since Thursday, so no one’s been cleaning it up and mess has still been generated.
The tallships left yesterday, so I missed ’em again.
I went and picked up my summer assignment for Honors English.
It is….ridiculous.
1. Make a list of characteristics of a Victorian gentleman.
2. Read Great Expectations, and make a reading log/response journal for it.
3. Write the outline of an essay about (something that makes no sense-haven’t read the book yet.)
4. Read another book of this list.
5. Make a reading log/response journal for it.
If this is our summer assignment, I don’t have great expectations for the funness of the course.
153) AP US summer assignment is not something I’m looking forward to either…really I don’t even think about summer homework until at least mid-July. But then again you seem more driven than me in that aspect. I suppose it’s just that there’s never an end to the stress of school because it’s not as though we aren’t going back in a few months, or as though any of the related pressures are really gone.
I have an AP Literature assignment to complete as well, less painful but still somewhat arduous I imagine.
159) Are you a fan of Dickens? If so you might find that book enjoyable, but I know among my classmates it was unpopular…I liked it well enough, but it’s better to read it on your own I think, so at least there’s that.
159 – This is my English assignment for the summer: Read four books, write a two paragraph review on one of them, and post it online.
High heels are hazardous to your health. I’ll leave it at that.
161- Oh, that sounds difficult.
I have to read a book, take notes on it, compare myself to the main character, and be ready to discuss it the first day of school.
Yayness.
I am depressed.
163 – Totally.
In fact, it’s so utterly difficult that I’ve already completed it. And, out of complete boredom, I am now doing another blog post on a different book.
I’m going to have written an encyclopedia by the time school starts.
141 – No.
146 – Ohhh! I wish you came! I’m going to the NSA!
156 – Can’t tell.
You’re going to the NSA! *Faints*
167 – Wow, cool! How did you do that?
Did you get alternate characters from the Internet or something?
*is depressed* It looks as though our nice little kokonvention won’t be happening after all.
So now I am Pining even more for Interesting Company. I mean, non-virtual Interesting Company (no offense). I can still email and MBlog, but I really want to hang out with someone my age in real life.
Sorry for that. I had to update my cause for misery.
How do you write upside-down? How do you learn to speak Elvish? Why are YA/kid books written so poorly?
Huh. I didn’t notice we no longer have the “upcoming dates” sidebar before.
(175) During the software upgrade “Dates to Remember” had to be moved to the bottom of the column in order for everything to work properly. Just one of those weird things.
w00t summer!
So, here I am at piano camp on Museblog for the first time in, oh, 3 months at least, and I haven’t even touched a computer (till now) for 10 days XD. I doubt anyone remembers me…oh well.
Piano camp is a fun place. Never before have I had the experience of mentioning a piece I play and everyone else going, “OH! I know that!” and proceeding to tell me what they play. Usually people are like, “Mozart? He’s one of those old composers, right?” or something to that effect. And then there was a piano shop, where they were fixing and building pianos. It was AMAZING. I think I could love being a piano technician…The action of a piano looks complicated, but the idea is ingeniously simple (levers). So we gawked at the marvels of engineering for a while. As the piano technician told us, the piano is one of those rare things that hasn’t signifigantly changed since the 1800’s. It’s quite interesting, if you think about it. We didn’t get to look at harpsichords or claviers or anything, like we were promised :'( but we talked about them. *sigh*
This is kind of like Duke TIP, with the feling that everyone knows what you’re talking about. Nobobdy thinks it’s strange to talk about the details of music here; at Duke we were just plain smart-crazy. Like MuseBlog.
185 – Piepoints? Can I have some?
Bleh. My dad changed my password without telling me what it is so now I can’t log on unless my parents get me on. And I can’t change it because it asks for your old password.
Bleh.
And bleh again, because Eoin Colfer is coming to do a show/presentation thing really near where I live and I’ll be in CO by that time!
160-ooh, what are you guys doing? (yeah i’m a nerd, i ask people about their summer assignments) in AP US we had to read the frontiersman, which is a giant book about a frontiersman (surprise!). for AP lit we have to read how to read lit like a professor and then read the poisonwood bible using some weird, specific noting system. i also have to read two books for AP euro, a philosophy book and the prince and take notes on both, and then do a chapter of notes from the textbook. and then for AP stats i have to read freakonomics (i’ve flipped through it but never actually read all the way through)
and i think that’s it. i laugh at the AP french kids, they have to write an essay every week. in french. this might explain why there are about five people taking it (which i think is the minimum number of people you need for a class)
¡euasui yןirÉrodmÇʇ guiog tuoÉ¥tiÊ sihʇ paeɹ ʇ,uaÉ” noY ¡tuo siÉ¥t ÊžcÇhÉ” ,yÇH
190 – I can actually read that just fine. It’s not that hard… or am I already insane?!?!?! AAAAHHHH! *runs around screaming*
190-temporarily? HA!
I went for thai food at lunch and it was absolutely deelish! I had a science exam. which I positive I did fine on. I can fail all my exams and still pass. because the exam is worth something like 20% or 30% of my mark and all my marks are in the 90s. It’s a comforting thought.
I’m listening to my “best of the Archie’s” CD. If you have ever heard their music, it is a bit bizare to the point of funny in an awkward sort of way.
have a good day.
I may have posted this already, but
I GOT AN A- IN GEOMETRY!
It has plagued my life since last September and I honestly thought I was going to fail. But no! HA! *happydance*
And Newsies is the best musical ever. And Mulan II stinks.
Newsies is simply fabulous.
just a question, gAPAs, how much does it cost to make and use for extensive period of time a blog like this?
same with the musery website.
185-May I have some?
Kokonilly-Will you be able to speak of your Gathering after it occurs?
197 – Yeah.
I had my first day volunteering at the Children’s Hospital today! I got to do crafts and color and such with small children in the Orthopedics waiting room today. Radiology’s waiting room is tomorrow. It was really fun — there weren’t too many kids there today, but I’m hoping there will be more tomorrow and next week. I like small children
THF’s in Arizona this week, seeing all sorts of flamablamablous stuff and taking pictures of every Kokopelli she sees (ordered by me, of course)!
Hello! I just got back from a party. Yesterday was the last day of school, which makes today…
FIRST DAY OF SUMMER!
Clarissa and I went to Hot Topic and Journeys and Spencers. We also went to Borders, and it was hilarious because there was this girl reading on the floor, and we freaked her out by talking about magic and cults right behind her. Ooh, two goths talkking about th4eir eville plans to take over the worlde.l
Some people.
It’s funny they think we’re goth. That’s just really funny to me. They can’t think of anything else to call me other than goth, emo, gay, girl, and nerd. Some people need to get creative. Maybe if they called me a beslubbering coxcomb I’d be insulted.
I”m rnating. Sorry.
And I can’t see what I’m typing. And it’s 10:50.
Bye,
Um, that say’s I’m ranting. Not I’m mating.
I’m not mating. I promise.
Guess what!
Meow got a cell phone. And a digital camera.
Seriously. And I didn’t even have to ask.
It’s because I’m leaving for D.C. on Friday. So I got a cell phone! It can only call and text, and it’s only for emergencies, but still!
I find it a little funny that I get a cell phone without even asking, and some kids beg and plead and still don’t get them.
162 – Did you go into a mosh pit in heels? I tried that once. Very bad idea, to put it lightly.
174 – So now there isn’t going to be a Kokon in DC this summer? *sadness* Oh well, if any Musers still want to do Kokons when I’m in college (2009-ish) I might actually be in Muser territory.
I’d like to know how to learn Elvish too. I can’t find any books on it.
My friend used to call YA books “candy books” because “they’re fun but they have no substance”. It’s true, so many YA books now are written so poorly. Do the authors think they have to dumb down their writing to appeal to teenagers?
181 – 25 years ago, I didn’t exist…maybe they mean “young” as in the coveted “18-30 years of age” demographic?
189 – French essays?!? Gah, and here I thought writing English AP essays was hard.
194 – Congrats! I have to take geometry next year; I’m scared.
201 – Lol, you had me weirded out for a second.
12:07. Time for sleep. I don’t have any summer assignments, but I’m sure that means I’ll be swamped with homework as soon as I go back to school.
(203) If you’re interested in learning Elvish, David Salo’s advice on the Fan Page might still be helpful.
-I know what you mean, they’re horribly dumb now. I’m currently reading a great book (which I would reccomend.) called Why We Run: a natural history. It’s far more interesting than it sounds, by Bernd Heinrich. Another author that’s great for extremely intelligent books is Derick Jensen. check him out!
Sighhhhhhhhhhhhh. Still no word from IBCF… *coughcanyoucomeornotcoughchokegaspwheezecough*
*drinks bottle of cough syrup* Ew.
She goes away to camp on Sunday! Thank Sphaere…
i need sharper scissors. no wait – thats the last thing i need right nowDoes anyone know of any music that might help ZML through this difficult time?
This won’t work if you don’t like Classical music, but I like
“Orchestral Suite #3 In D, BWV 1068 – 2. Air ‘On The G String'” by JS Bach, and Bach’s Magnificat,
202 – I didn’t even want a cell phone, and I got one.
208- Nomos usually makes me feel a little better. But it only works if you like Celtic music.
210- Me too, but eventually my mom took it back.
211 – Oh… I still have mine.
212- Well, she got it after the fire when we didn’t have a phone, and then she stopped using it, so she gave it to me, but everyone she knew kept calling it, so eventually I got fed up and then she took it back.
189) Ap Euro, eh? Your school must have things set up differently than mine, I just finished with that class and I’ll be a junior next year. Anyway, all you need to know about The Prince is it is better to be feared than loved” etc etc and Machiavelli was moping so the Medicis would rule Florence.
As far as what I have to do…for AP US I need to make various charts, time lines, and listings pertaining to Native Americans, the colonies, and general early America. I”m planning on reading The Penguin History of the USA, since my brother recommended I do so…Also reading John Adams by David McCullough, though that’s more out of personal inclination than anything else.
For AP Language Arts…hrm “AP English Language and Composition” rather, I have to comment/respond to five editorials or essays in magazines, newspapers…Also have to read The Great Gatsby. And that’s the extent of my work this summer, not really that bad.
213 – What fire?
214-yeah, i think we’re just flipped. my school has AP US soph year, AP gov junior and AP euro senior but you can switch gov and euro if you feel so inclined (why you would, idk but you can. true story)
lang/comp will be forever in my mind associated with hemmel. he was the best teacher ever. We had a roaring 20’s party for the end of the great gatsby unit…we had different groups to research food and clothes and suchlike, it was great. and then there was a fire drill and we went outside and we all had feathers and stuff in our hair and we were standing on the field doing the charleston while they counted us
srsly, ask for a 20’s party. it’s great
*seriously
sorry, i’ve been texting too much. and when i say too much i mean WAAAY too much.
215- The fire. My house burnt down last October (was it really last October? Wow, long time ago).
218 – Oh. The fire.
How?
220- How did the house burn down? Someone installed our dryer wrong.
Just FYI, I won’t be posting for about a week and a half- my family’s going down to the Outer Banks on vacation. I’ll talk to y’all later!
Geometry and Biology are advanced classes. What’s so terrible about getting “B’s” in them? Why am I not allowed to go on the Kokon? *sigh*
I wish I were dumb. Then I would have a good excuse for not getting “A’s”.
223 – Really? I’m taking both Geometry and Biology next year.
Getting ‘A’s all the time isn’t really worth it. An occasional ‘B’ is good for the soul.
223 – It’s okay. We still like you even if you can’t go to the Kokon.
223- There isn’t a kokon anymore.
I am in a bleak mood. Mother says I should “work on establishing local relationships,” but I don’t really want to. I mean, E hasn’t been home the last two times I visited, and I don’t have A’s number, and I don’t really get along with most of the people I know. I can’t ever just sit in companionable silence with anyone I know here. There always has to be some sort of excuse for getting together.
Bother. I make tons of friends, they just never live around here.
227 – That’s exactly my problem.
Bother. I have nothing to write about.
Well then. Off to the Muse Fanfiction thread.
Hi. this is Kagcomix. changing my name to Lisa O’Malley the Pierate Captain. not sure for how long though.
FINALY FINISHED MY STUPID EXAM TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! w00t! anyways. it was kinda a wierd day. hope y’all are doing good. (excuse me while I butcher the english language)
Bookworm and I have been training for Algebra 2 Honors for when we go to 7th grade.
I think it is for 10th grade, which explains why we can’t make heads or tails of it.
Yay for Summer!
204 – Thanks!
227 – Same here. It’s not that I don’t like hanging out with people, it’s just that I’m not naturally social, so I don’t often feel like arranging get-togethers.
Last night I dreamed that the class of Muse Academy went on a field trip to a Victorian mansion and had to get through a series of traps – culminating in an animatronic wolf – to pass a final exam. Hmmm.
232- I wish my dreams were half as interesting.
I went to the local pool today (pointless because I have my own) and it was closed because someone couldn’t hold it in. Oddly, I didn’t go swimming when I got home.
233 – Whenever I dream, I feel like it’s actual happening. It’s usually a bizzarre scenario, but it feels absolutely real.
227-I know what you mean. For some people, the people who just happen to live nearby aren’t necessarily the right people. Everyone’s unique, but some don’t simply fit in with the majority of other people. Because Muse-readers occupy a much smaller portion of the spectrum of people, I think the GAPAs partly intended the blog to be a safe, fun place for us to converse,and then through kokonventions, meet people whose company we could enjoy. So it’s only natural we should seek the company of these people, especially after we meet them once.
Whew, hope that’s not too confusing!
Red-tailed HAWK
I’m also very good at making friends who don’t live near me. I had one, but then she had the nerve to move. Give me a room full of people from my town and I wil bond with the one person from far away (read- minimum of a thirty minute drive, sometimes longer. And thats a highway drive at 65-75mph, not some puny little back street road)
227- None of your friends live near you too? I have tons of friends, but only 3 live within 10 minutes (In the car with no traffic) of me.
REMEMBER TO SEND THE ARTICLE IN IF YOU HAVE NOT DONE SO ALREADY!!!, WITH 106’S CHANGES! THE ARTICLE IS POSTED A BIT BACK IN THIS THREAD, AROUND 104.
i like high heels. *pouts*
238-Vixen, what about 124??? And…um, why do you like high heels? That’s a little startling. I don’t know why it’s coming up, actually, but I’d still be interested to know.
*Yawn* *Blink blink* You’d expect somebody who just slept for 9 or 10 hours to be a little more lively
Maybe I needed catching up. I do feel rested.
I know! I’ll go eat something, that might wake me up some. Nothing like foraging in the kitchen to get a teenager up
*Munch munch*
Red-tailed HAWK
This library computer is having hicups.
234 – Same here!
I officially can’t make the DC kokon, but are any other MBers going to be at the NJCL convention? It’s in Ohio this year.
227 – I understand. I make all these great friends from spelling/summer camp etc, but none of them live nearby.
232 – I have dreams like that. Last night, I dreamed that my sister got killed by a balrog.
238- I sort of like high heels. Until I try to get off the bus and nearly fall.
I spent last night outside under the clouds with E (and Opal and C-ugh).
Just sent the letter.
I’m probably going to work one evening a week at my local library this summer.
208- I would listen to Sungha Jung, With or Without You (this kid guitar player, better than anybody) it’s pretty calming. Or The Beatles It’s Getting Better (that reminds me of how Lennon had a MUCH harder time getting through life than I kind of do, kind of, but it’s a happy, good song) or most of the beatles songs, She Said She Said, Good Day Sunshine, Hey Bulldog especially.
227-I have 4 REAL friends (the ones that stick with you believe you, trust you, laugh with you, all that), and like 50 that think that we are friends. And then there’s you guys, the ones I’ve never seen before but… but.. oh I don’t know, but pie. And then I left my friends back in Michigan, A and W. Oh cake, I don’t wanna think about THAT. But still, I guess that’s all right. It’s getting better. Next year 5th grade, new people, than after that, MIDDLE SCHOOL
Happy Solstice!
247-isn’t that the 21st?
236-i do that a lot. not close friends really, but i have a lot of facebook friends from far away. but most of my good friends are from south [snip]ville, so it’s all good.
and really half the time when i complain about people living far away, i mean like ten minutes at most. except for the JSA people and a few others…
anyhoo.
So my friend jacob and i are planning a surprise party for dan’s birthday (which he actually knows about so whatever (the party, not his birthday)). Thing is, it’s tomorrow. At jacob’s. And jacob never told us what time. So we just put down 5-10. so it might turn into a surprise for jacob more than dan.
and i accidentally left it as an open event on FB, and somebody who wasn’t invited listed themselves as “maybe attending” even though it’s a birthday party at somebody else’s house and people had obviously been invited, not just randomly joining.
I wasn’t on here yesterday, so here is a synopsis:
My brother never got out of his pajamas and we had a large argument over which word was better: “flarne” (his) or “flapne” (mine).
My mom didn’t do anything interesting.
My dad watched a lecture called “The Joy of Fibonacci Numbers” in which the professor dude was very enthusiastic about the uses of fibonacci numbers in the study of pineapples and in the “dum di dum” rhythm of limericks and made a CHART that COUNTED the “dum di dums”.
So all in all, a pretty average day.
Hi, I’m back for a bit….and TIRED. I’ve been sleep deprived since Lady B. came, the night before I I stayed up ’till 2AM watching a movie, when Lady B. was there I was up at midnight, the next day we drove to VA and volunteered for two days, waking up at 7 in the morning and going to bed rather late……..so if I don’t make any sense that’s why!!
244-Did you fix the problem?
Lady B.? We were just about to order some things from Musery Loves Company when we remembered your lovely Kokopellihedron. Is there any chance you would have time to add that to the shop? I think that design would sell on a lot of things. I would particularly like it on an ash grey t-shirt (short-sleeve). If you have a chance to put that up soon, we might be able to order it in time to have it here for a possible kokonvention next week.
Oh! I’ll get my parents to write about that…
Red-tailed HAWK
251~ What is this Kokonvention you speak of? did you write about it before? Please do enlighten!
I do not care to think of kokonventions at this time.
Meh.
Official Announcement:
The first meeting of the International Wung Fanciers’ Association is now in session. We are currently voting on a new name, as “Fanciers’ Association” carries the connotation that wungs are pets, which is certainly not true, but there are many other issues to be addressed. This message is particularly directed at the Bookworm, Eccentric the Afterthought, and Beatlesrockr, those of our members who have not yet turned up.
(250) Midnight Fiddler, if it’s any consolation, I’ve been “enjoying” some sleep deprivation myself. By the way, your mom’s cilantro dressing has been livening up my veggie burgers this week — any chance of a recipe?
(251) RtH, as luck would have it, the Kokopollihedron file is big enough to use as is. Since no editing was required I went ahead and added it to the collection.
I’ll add more products later when I get the other new designs up. (Yes, I really will finish them! Sorry to be so delinquent.)
255~ I’ll ask her to send it to you in an email. Yum, veggie burgers….that sounds good.
I’ve run out of things I really want to post on MB. There’s stuff, I guess, but I don’t feel as inclined to post as I used to.
This makes me sad.
257- I know what you mean.
Sort of.
I fell off a bike today. My knee stings very badly now.
257, 258 – I’m sorry. That is sad.
I felt like that in January, but now I don’t.
I made a map of my brother’s brain out of foam, popsicle sticks, pipe cleaners, and paperclips. And one large pompom. And then snarled it all up and presented it to him, and he got mad.
Happy Solstice!
255- Whoa. That design is awesome.
258- Have you ever hit something and flipped over the handlebars? Believe me, it hurts worse.
WOW!!!! The Kokopollihedron looks amazing on those shirts!!! We couldn’t decide which color to order, so we ordered two of different colors. We decided to just order the two shirts, as every new item you add makes the faster shipping go up. We wanted to make sure it got here in time for the kokonvention!!!
I am very excited!!! Thank you for getting the design up so fast, Lady B.!
Everybody, please head to Musery Loves Company and buy some stuff, support our GAPAs!
Red-tailed HAWK
260-
I’ve hardly ever ride bikes; I don’t even own one. That sound painful. E told me about how one time she was racing someone, and she accidentally turned 360 degrees in the air, on her bike, and fell down the hill into the river (and no one who doesn’t live here can no how steep the hill is, and how rocky; actually it’s less a hill than a pile of rocks), and then the bike landed on top of her.
But she was wearing a helmet, so she was OK.
The shirt looks absolutely wung buttons! Particularly in black…
Speaking of, is “I beg to differ” up yet?
254-Is there any chance I could join the IWFA? I do take a liking to Wungs myself, pets or no. We share a common interest in the color purple.
264- Certainly. Come to the wungs thread, https://musefanpage.com/blog/?p=644. Our first meeting is in progress.
249- on weekends I live out of my PJ’s. And then there’s the huge amount of time I spend in my pajamas avoiding going outside. Anyways, when I don’t have to go outside or see anyone I generaly tend to live out of my PJs.
257- I know how you feel.
259- please have 8 KAG points! your name is making me sad.
I am baking later today with one of my best friends! exciting! I like to bake a lot. I can make anything with a recipy. wihtout a recipy can be quite disatrouse!
Just reading a book about Hidden Mickeys at Disney Parks. Sounds like a fun thing to look for.
231-Are we really in 2 Honors?
249-Fibonacci! Fibonacci! Fibonacci!
Well, I got up at NOON today. Ew. This is made worse by the fact that I went to bed early. I won’t have to sleep for another two days!
-262 you. don’t. ride. bikes.?
(sorry for the double post, it was and accidental click of the submit button.)
GAPAs, have you received an email with an INDD file? if so, please post it on Muse FanFic.
270- I. Don’t. Have. A. Bike.
But, my mom says if I take her bike to the bike shop, she’ll pay for repairs and I can ride that.
I just have to take initiative and take the bike down to the shop.
Sadly…
Which may be hard, given that it’s too broken to ride and I’m too young to drive if I even knew how. So I’ll have to walk it downtown. Ugh.
262~ I love my bike!! the only problem is that it needs new brakes (and has needed them for years) and all the gears don’t shift and the tires leak something dreadful. But when it’s going I ride it around as much as I can. One of my favorite things to do is ride down a steep hill we have that goes to the floodplane, wwhhhhhhheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! It’s fun.
I haven’t hopped back on my bike since I fell off last year. I scraped two big chunks out of my elbow (I was riding on pavement that had lots of stones sticking up on the surface). One of the pink scars is sort of heart-shaped. Wait. Or are those rabbit ears is see?!?! *GASP!!!* *Runs* *Can’t escape, obviously* Help!!!
273-You must be brave to ride down a steep hill on a bike that needs brakes!
But I do hope to get back on my bike soon…
Red-tailed HAWK
274~ It does stop, but it screeches like crazy. Brave? or moronic? That is the real question……
(271) Haven’t seen it, ZVX.
I used to love riding down hills on my little bike. It didn’t have brakes either.
Wow, fast moderation, Rebecca! *hands over pies to the revered GAPA*
(257) Jadestone,
Mourn not overmuch. Everything has its limits and its cycles. You and MuseBlog have a long and honorable history. I’ll always remember you as a brilliant general in the first pie war, exuberantly rallying and bribing the troops.
Once upon a time there was a teenager, whom we shall call Otzi. Her family decided to send her to a very prestigious boarding school, where she made lots of friends, became a master of sexual innuendo, and showed promise in the trivia competition. She became particularly good friends with a senior student (his name is not important), and it was with this senior student that she had many jokes, fun times, and random bursts into song. Towards about Christmas she began to realise that she liked him as more than a friend. She kept this fact to herself for quite a while, knowing that her fellow freshmen would not approve of her crush on this amazingly intelligent and funny, if not handsome, senior. In early february, however, she cracked and told her closest niner friend, who proceeded to make fun of her loudly and laugh in a slightly disgusted manner. Otzi was hurt by this, but she ignored it and tried not to let her infatuation with this senior ruin her friendship with him.
There is something you should know about Otzi. When she has a crush, she is really, really, REALLY bad at hiding it.
Fast foward to May: After spending lots of time around said senior, Otzi was debating telling him about her crush on him. Unfortunately, the choice was taken from her by her ‘friends’ who all but outright told him. He and Otzi remained friends, and never mentioned it, although it was plain to all that she still liked him. He began to hang out more with a senior girl, whose name is also not important. The girl in question had been his close friend for a while and had only recently broken up with her longstanding boyfriend. Otzi did not know what to make of this, because the senior girl had confided to her that he felt no attraction to Senior Boy in the least. The situation never got resolved, as Otzi left the school the moment exams were done and never even got to say goodbye. She knows she’ll probably get over him, but right now she’d feeling very sorry for herself.
Sorry to dump that. I just had to say it to SOMEbody.
279-
Thanks Robert. I do miss the pie wars. Those were fun.
I don’t think I could ever really leave MB totally. EVen though I barely post, I still read a few threads… Music, Poems&Songs, the RRRs I used to write for… but most of those threads have died. And the people I really used to be close to have vanished, left, or mainly lurk to. And ones who haven’t I haven’t had many ‘conversations’ with in the past few months
So yeah, I probably won’t leave MB, but don’t expect as many posts from me other than a few threads and this one, if I can keep up with it. Even the really interesting ones I mmay be able to go on a bit, but if they’re fast I doubt I’ll be able to keep up.
And look my comment box has shrunkled. It’s my gradmas computer, so I won’t me skfhsladfh mess with it though.
281- Yes, I think that’s one of my problems. A lot of the people that I consider to be from my generation have left, as have a lot of the older generations, without whom MB just isn’t the same. I find it harder and harder to connect to the neophytes, even the ones that have been around since the beginning of the year.
-281 go to world of piecraft. it could do with some help, it’s kinda more like “World of Destruction” right now.
I was looking at the various other sections of musefanpage.com that I neglect and I found a mention of Milton Rupines. Does that ever make me nostalgic. The cat counter still makes me chuckle, I remember the letter pointing out that it was mathematically impossible for so many requests to exist. teehee.
280) First, it’s nice to hear from you again! That’s a sorry situation indeed, and how inconsiderate of your friends to do that. I don’t have any advice other than I can empathize in some ways. Oh the life of a teenage girl.
281) I miss talking to you, Nancy, oxlin, and everyone else on the P&S threads. That was always the highlight of Museblog for me, I’m sorry that I haven’t been there more…I’ve become wary about putting my work on the internet, which is still not a very good reason.
I have fewer and fewer people to talk to online and off, but that’s the way I want it so I don’t mind too much. I;m inclined to lurk no matter where I am, so I suppose I should always check in at MB, even if I don’t post often.
262- Yeah, when I did the whole flip thing, I landed on my face. On concrete. And I had fallen once and crashed once already on that trip. I’m normally a good biker, but that one trip put me off anything with two wheels for a long time. And what happened to E, whoa. That had to hurt.
The local bike/pedestrian trail has this one overpass that looks like it has a very slowly sloping incline, but when you go down with no brakes… That is thrills. It is insanely fast. But you need to go down the right side, because there are poles at the end of the other side.
Oh.
I just realized why I haven’t received my June Muse. It doesn’t exist.
Dang it!
That still doesn’t explain why I haven’t received my report card. Six out of my seven classes use Edline, but I still really need to know whether or not I got an A in math.
-286 yep. I was so frustrated by that a while back, (five years ago, to be exact.)
286- the july/auguset muse should be out any day!
New Muse! I don’t have a bike…
To Alice and Jadestone:
I just checked MG’s old generation list (https://musefanpage.com/blog/?p=240) and realized that I am from generation 1. I feel old. I understand what you mean about the old crowd leaving… I know that I took a 9(ish) month break. Coming back, I realized just how few of the people I knew at all. Even after a few weeks back, I’m still lost.
Perhaps we could have a new thread (Please, GAPAs? Pretty please with a truckload of cherry pies?) where MBers could introduce themselves in some form or another. MBers would need to think before posting, and further the “get to know you themeâ€.
(Unlike certain MBers, I would never dream of making my beloved GAPAs to do more work. Especially not when asking for something. *wink*. Rather than ask them to allow only relevant posts, I am asking MBers to moderate themselves)
I realize the thread may do only minimal good, but it would be a step towards making it matter if Zyviva posts something and gvddkjfd83jfdgfjhsfdfd does.
266 – Thanks!
Chabot Space and Science Center is awesome. I went there with my friend today and we sat pretty much the whole time on this one concrete ledge overlooking a small stage. And the volunteers/staff doing demos and running hula hoop contests (we sat through 5 at least) made fun of us! And we made fun of them, but they couldn’t hear us.
And they played REALLY BAD music. Except for they played Thriller, which I mostly like.
Am I considered old?? I am 5th generation,. but I’ve been here since March 2006.
And HAHAHHA OTHER PEOPLE ARE COMPLAINING ABOUT ‘PHYTES WHEEEEE I CAN COMPLAIN AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think if you know what generation you are, then you’re old.
Okay, peoples. I’m going away to camp for the next fourteen days, which means I won’t be posting until the beginning of July.
Bye! *waves frantically from the train pulling out of the station*
Bye for now, Beavo.
I’m MOST DEFINITELY not old…I’ve only been here since 07.
Oldish. Gen 8.
INTERVIEWS WITH EVIL ALIENS.
Kai: Hello, everybody, and welcome to Interviews With Evil Aliens! The Imperial Stormtrooper I was scheduled to interview couldn’t make it, so instead, I’m talking to one of the invaders from Signs! Say hello to the viewers, guest!
Alien: Hello Earthlings, whose planet we will conquer.
Kai: So, let me get this straight- you guys are pretty fierce, but you can’t stand water, right?
Alien: Yes, it burns us like hydrochloric acid would burn you.
Kai: I have here some interesting pictures. Would you like to see them?
Alien: Sure thing.
Kai: Okay, here’s the first one- an artist’s conception of the Oort Cloud, the cloud of comets surrounding the Sol System. Look familiar?
Alien: Yeah, we saw that coming in.
Kai: And what are comets?
Alien: Water ice.
Kai: Okay, now how about this picture? Do you recognize it?
Alien: That’s your planet from space.
Kai: It is. In English, it’s called Earth, but some find that a silly name.
Alien: Of course it’s silly! Your world’s surface is 70% ocean and only 30% land.
Kai: And what are oceans?
Alien: Water.
Kai: So, you guys came to a system surrounded by a cloud of frozen water, to a planet that’s mostly covered in water, to eat humans who are 80% water- and water is poison to you?
Alien: We will eat you all.
-Presses teleportation button-
Kai: How DID they survive long enough to build spaceships with intellect like that? Anyway, tune in next time!
292- I’m not complaining about them. Neophytes are wonderful. I just feel a bit out of place among them.
294- *waves handkerchief*
Opal, having eaten ALL the Challah, is now insisting that I take her to the bakery immediately, and is holding on to me, refusing to let go and reading over my shoulder. I dislike her very much.
298-
Opal’s going to bite me now. Help.
Now that I think about it, I’ve only been here for about a month. Wow. It felt like it’s been a lot longer. Weird. I thought time flies when you’re having fun, and MB is definitely fun.
I’ve been on here for a little over a year now. Wow.
Lately, I have been noticing a lot of PoPoPoers around, like suzy and veronica. I’m getting annoyed.
-300 well, you’re a regular now, so no worries. I’ve only been here for seven months.
-302 yes, I wonder if they’re friends…?
I’m generation 9. Huh, it seems like it’s been forever since I came…..
Do people think I’m a newbie?
304- No. I’ve been here since Nov. 2007!
true confession from ebeth-i feel like a newbie sometimes. but it makes sense when you think how much the blog has changed, and how much there is to keep up with (and ebeth is too lazy to do a very good job of that)
*sings* She’s gone away to camp, to camp/she’s gone away for a week!
245 – Cool! Are you shelving? That’s what I’ve been doing here; it’s fun.
248 – I think that happened to one of my FB friends once. I guess they had somebody watch the door to make sure none of the random people actually came in or something because it turned out okay.
255 – Is one of the designs a new signature shirt? If so, could you post a list of the signatures you’ve received for it so far? Thanks! The new kokopellihedron designs look great, by the way!
257 – I know the feeling; at the moment I’ve found plenty to post about, but a lot of times I have nothing to add to any threads.
266 – Same here; I’ve spent most of my summer holed up in my room in PJs with a big stack of books. It’s wonderful.
273 – Sounds like mine; it’s all rusty and wobbly, but I love it. Most of my city is not very bike-friendly, but I can at least ride around the neighborhood when the weather is nice.
280 – Ow. *sends pounds of pies, hugs, and chocolate*
284 – I remember that letter! *runs off in fit of nostalgia to re-read that issue* That was way back when the hpbs were all on the letter pages and not out trying to destroy the world.
290 – I was a gen. 4…wow, where did the time go? The MB certainly has expanded/changed since then.
294 – Bye!
304 – You’re one of the people I remembered when I came back after being off for most of the school year, so no.
306 – Exactly! I miss so much in my absences, yikes.
Speaking of generations, could we have another generations thread sometime? I’m curious how many there are now.
BASE jumping does not stand for “Blood And Stuff Everywhere”. (Although that would be sort of funny), it stands for Bridge, Antenna, Spans and Earth.
307-Hurrah!
306) same. I haven’t really been able to keep track of everyone since the spike in March of…2006?
308) haha yes I remember the phasing in of the hpb
Hey, speaking of Musery designs and such, is there a new signature shirt coming out anytime? I was just wondering, because I think I remember something being said about it awhile back….or maybe I’m imagining it, i don’t know.
Anyway, I’ve gotten mine to Rebecca, so I won’t have to freak out about deadlines, etc., I was jsut wondering if it was coming out anytime soonish. (so my hideous handwriting can be unleashed to the world, ooh, aah.)
This is extremely unpleasant. I wish I could remember her cell phone number.
I had a very good story to tell, but it’ll have to wait until I figure out where my mom is.
ah no one bothered to answer my question.
well here it is again
Am I considered old?? I am 5th generation,. but I’ve been here since March 2006.
Oh, good, she was at work. Of course, that means she couldn’t see my note, but at least she’s not missing or something.
Anyway, my story. This afternoon/evening, I went over to E’s, and, after much sitting around and talking, we decided that the point of life is to have adventures. Of course, we promptly decided to go out and have an adventure, so we biked downtown past the pizza place, got bored, and turned around to go home.
“Let’s go down to ******* again before we go home,” said E.
“OK,” I replied.
So we biked down to ******, ignored the path we’d taken the other day, and kept right on along the railroad tracks until the bikes could go no further. So we abandoned them and went forward on foot. It’s almost hypnotic, walking along the railroad with the sound of water slapping against the dike, and after a while we could see an archway of some kind over the rails, and trees on the other side.
“Oh, look,” said E, who had been this way before. “Job Corps Land.”
To which my response was, “We should totally go in.”
There was a sign that said, clearly, “Job Corps Land: Please do not enter.” But this was our adventure, and the glimpse we could see from our side of the archway beckoned us.
“The railway is public property,” said E, and so we went in.
Job Corps land is an eerie place. The buildings are weird and different, and it’s very quiet. Even people’s voices are more echo-y. As we walked along, we pretended we had gone through a portal to the future, or the past, or an alternate universe, or something. It really wasn’t hard to believe at all.
Thinking of the bikes, I said, “How will we know when to go back?”
“I don’t know,” said E. “It doesn’t feel right yet.”
I was in total agreement; something would have to break the spell before we could go back. So we kept on walking.
A light brown car – I guess the word is mocha – was coming towards us rather quickly, so we stopped and stood off to the side of the road. I remember thinking, and perhaps saying, “Wow, cars go faster in the future, too,” and then the car stopped and the window rolled down.
“Can I see some ID please?” said the man in the car.
“ID?”
“Yes.”
“Um…we don’t have any.”
“You know this is private property, right?”
“Well, we thought if we stayed on the tracks…”
But he insisted on driving us back to our bikes, and even turned out to be the father of a girl we know. It was utterly perfect and the best adventure we could possibly hope for. As soon as we were out of the car, E and I burst out laughing. I even considered telling him that he just made our day, but thought better of it. He was very official.
“Adventures are like rubber bands; you never find one when you’re looking for it.”
~E— K—- and Alice W——
And then, on the way home, we saw a rubber band.
315 – Wow. I would never do anything like that.
I got a Wii yesterday. It’s very fun.
315) that sounds like something I need right now. Very fun to read too. Train tracks are always near industrial areas huh. It makes me want to ride my bike around, but I think I might pass out if I even go outside…so hot.
Building off of that, I think it’d make a good thread…various adventures (of sorts) MBers have had. I can think of a few, at least.
oooh god you know what I just realized….OTL (<- that’s a person on their hands and knees fyi)
I was looking at my Nano account and it said some of you guys added me..so I went to add back and it said one new message. I had no idea you could even receive messages. It was from Beavo from LAST YEAR. -fails- Also there were several dating back to 2006 from oxlin, jadestone, ebeth, taiwan hippo fan, sweet melpomene…forgive my technological failings everybody.
That said I second the request for some kind of introductory thread. Maybe it could be different from the muser profiles though, something more conducive to conversation rather than “I’m axa and I like _______”. Generate a random Mbers and ask them questions..or questions by generation, though I don’t like how much generation matters but oh well.
Something.
316- Until yesterday, me neither.
Aw, dang it, I forgot what I was going to say. Oh yes! How did you do on the science bowl, speller? I was reading my calendar and I saw that yesterday was the last day of the nationals, which reminded me to ask you how you did.
130 Days till NaNoWriMo!
Sentences You Don’t Hear Every Day:
Come help me pick bits of harmonica out of the carpet.
Sooo….what’s the opposite of lasagna?
And an orbiting teapot crashes to earth!
Oh look! A wind-up Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle with no propeller because someone chewed it off!
320- Oh, holy wung buttons! PLEASE, may I use those in a script?
321 – Sure!
My dad and brother were being very strange yesterday. So was I (I decimated the harmonica that needed picking out of the carpet.)
315- Whoa. That sounds like something out of a movie.
320- What is the opposite of lasagna? What’s a synonym for synonym? Why is abbreviation such a long word? Whose cruel idea was it for “lisp” to have an “s” in it?
323 – All very good questions. I don’t know.
My mom says the opposite of lasagna is sorbet, but…..
Maybe it’s a TMNT propeller!
I am so not used to all these comments. Hello everyone! I would like to share with you a link… PLEASE GAPAs don’t cut it!
[Sorry, kricket. –Rebecca]
*pokes link* *whispers* go go go go go go go go
308- I’m sure I will be when they manage to get back to me……
I think that the opposite of lasagna is an astroid with a factory for making jelly and fly wing sandwiches.
the opposite of lasagna is angasal.
Dad: “There’s a body in the garage.”
Mom: “Oh you can throw that away, we don’t need it anymore.”
Dad: “Where’d it come from?”
Mom: “The basement, we don’t have room down there for it anymore.”
could we have a thread for goofy talents? last time Rebecca was here she said something about having something like that, but it never materialized.
Anyway, a thread like that might be interesting…….
For example, I’m sure you’re all just dying to know that I can sing the alphabet song three times in one breath, move my eyebrows independently and twist my mouth into bizarre shapes.
The opposite of lasagna? I honestly have no idea. Maybe HPBs, who knows?!?!
320-
“You never expect to wake up, looking a Triceratops in the eye.”
So E and her friend F and I were sitting on the railroad tracks, when this crazy guy came by, riding his bike. He stopped and talked to us, in a very mumbly voice, saying something about geese, parties, high school, and how somebody had bought him a new pair of slacks, and then turned around and road away. A few minutes later, another guy came along, walking. “Aren’t you guys cold out here?” he asked, and when we replied in the negative, he said, “You guys are toughies,” and turned around walked away. No one passed us. It was hilarious.
330 – Oh, that’s really good!
It might be interesting.
329 – Actually, I was dying to know that!
I think the opposite of lasagna is softball!
I was going to send something to the GAPAs, but I can’t remember what it was! If anyone knows, can they please tell me?
332~ Maybe it was a platter of lasagna?
Oh Gods above. We had the first day of midterms today, and because I have stellar luck, I got the stomach flu last night and was throwing up all night, came to school with hair that deserved to be shaved off, and I probably just failed my science midterm.
Oh and to top it all off, it is about 10 degrees outside and there is a lovely sleety slush downpour outside.
I need to pack my entire room up, I forgot to get boxes so I only have one, plus 4 suitcases – each the size of half a sofa, Hmmm how heavy can I make those.
Ack Maths midterms tomorrow.
Wheres the rants thread??
Oh and my remotes gone missing and I hate the song thats playing and I don’t want to move
334- having a bad day, aren’t we?
HI!!!!!
THE GATHERING ENDED YESTERDAY!!!!!!
I’M BACK!!!!!!!!!!!
Just finished my Biology Exam, the Spanish one is in two hours.
334- https://musefanpage.com/blog/?p=1101
I have french exam in an hour.
Hm. That’s odd. I was under the impression everyone was sooooo curious about the Gathering, and now that I can spill all, nobody’s saying anything.
Weird.
Was that the Bread for the World meeting here in Washington? In any case, I’m sure other MBers would like to hear about it.
What? Bread for the World?
I went to the NSA. That should generate some interest.
If you told them about the Kokonspiracy, they probably didn’t believe you.
Oh, believe me, I did. They looked at me like I was psycho.
That’s the genius of it.
NSA… is what?
*runs in*
Kokopollihedron shirts on musery! Kokopollihedron shirts on musery!
*runs to next thread*
What’s NSA?
How come people still have school? That’s just cruel.
School should not be mandatory. It is ruining my enjoyment of it.
I am an anarchist. Unfortunately anarchy doesn’t work too well for most of society.
345 – I agree.
346 – The National Security Agency.
(346, 348, 349) It’s the super-top-secret federal agency in charge of eavesdropping and codebreaking. An interesting place to work, I hear. I got some feelers from them when I was about to graduate from college, but I decided to work for NASA instead.
350- Oh, I see. That’s super cool!
The last 40 minutes of our day was blatant advertising to work there.
The lectures were pretty boring… except the “Mathematics of Juggling”.
And just like that, ninth grade is over.
I wish CTN was here…
I’m no longer a Soph-o-more. Yay!
347- Aren’t they cool?
350, ect. – I think my uncle worked for them once, or maybe not. I guess I’ll never really know. So, what did you do at NASA?
Kokonilly: I am still curious, I just got back! Please tell all about it!
Okay. Should I tell about the whole Gathering or just the NSA bit?
I’m taking swim lessons. My instructor is the devil. All we do is swim back and forth, back and forth. Ten second breaks between every seven laps. Never ending critcism. Laura =
The WHOLE Gathering, please!
336 – Ooooh yes
And I’m missing my maths midterm because I was throwing up all night and I passed out about 3 hours ago.
And my mom is going to fly in MUCH later than she thought as her entire flight got changed around and she is now flying NY – LA, LA- SYDNEY, SYDNEY – AUCKLAND, AUCKLAND – [snip]
Ahh off to the rants thread (thanks Vendaval)
Oh and I’m still having a bad hair day
Kai, are there any job openings on your IWEA show?
I just found the book on hippogriff-baiting for Hagrid’s case against Malfoy.
360 – I’m sorry.
Bleh. I have had a very boring, nothing day…
Oh wait! I went to the orthodontist today to get molds made of my teeth because I’m getting braces! On july 7!
And apparently my wisdom teeth are growing sideways, so I may need the ones next to them extracted.
Bleh.
359 – Okay.
DAY 1: Wake up at 5:00. Drive to JHU from my cousin’s house. Arrive at about 6:30 after checking bags in at hotel (but not checking into the hotel). Attend the keynote. Go to session I: Mathematical Magic for me. Go to the Game Room shortly after. Play Pokemon with this other Pokemon nerd. Eat at Ruby Tuesday’s. Attend session II: College Application for me. Do really fun stuff. Check into the hotel. SWIM!!! Go to sleep after watching Ocean’s Thirteen. (I love that movie.)
DAY 2: Wake up at 9:00. Don’t attend the Keynote. Attend session III: Probability for me. Eat lunch at Ruby Tuesday’s again. Walk around and text my friend while I have free time and he has a boring class. (Ha ha.) Go to the hotel and go to sleep.
DAY 3: Wake up at 5:30. Walk around and find a place to eat. We ultimately settle on McDonald’s. Take the bus to JHU. Climb a tree. Depart for the NSA. Have fun at the NSA*. Leave the NSA. Depart from Reagan airport 1 hour and 25 minutes late. Get back last night at 11:30.
* I’ll tell more about the NSA later.
362~ The dentists are saying that they’re going to pull out my wisdom teeth because there won’t be space or something….ugh. I don’t like dentists.
Today was a beautiful and cool day….aahhhhh. How nice, I didn’t roast at all! Other than that, I spent most of it reading a Far Side book…..ooh, ah, what a pastime.
361-Sure thing. Just tell me what you want to do.
364- Yay Far Side!
320- I am heartily fond of “Soooo…. What’s the opposite of lasagna?”
I have no remembrance of my generation. I came early 2007 I think, January or February.
Yesterday was crazy. The rain was coming down so hard when you looked out the window all you could see, basicaly, was the rain. Then I realised that it was hailing. there was a thick coating of slushy hail over the patio table in my backyard. It was exciting. I wanted to go outside and stand in the Hail/rain but my mother wouldn’t let me. *sigh* ah well, hopefully there will be a next time.
The Gathering sounds almost as threatening as The Elders!
Totally believable conspiracy theory here…
(355) I taught computers to read satellites’ measurements of Earth’s magnetic fields and the charged particles that swirl around them.
364- All hail Far Side!
My sister just went away for the week, so I’m happy! One less sister to be bothered by! Of course, I won’t be enjoying it much, because my soccer camp starts on Thursday, but hey, tommorow will be fun!
366 – Isn’t it summer?
369 – Agreed. *worships far side*
The Sims 2 is actually quite boring.
I ♥ Far Side too!
Dear Fellow Bloggers, Neophytes, Old Timers, G.A.P.A’s, Haters, and anyone else I may have missed in this greeting,
For the past few days I have been trying to figure out a way of saying this without causing a disagreement. However, I have decided that there is probably no way of avoiding hate comments, so I will post it as it is and hope that everything turns out OK.
In the past four months I have been ungraciously rude, and I would like to apologize for this. I am now known around the blog as a Neophyte (or ‘Phyte) hater, and I would like to clear my name. I don’t actually hate Neophytes – in fact I actually enjoy some of the conversations they start.
On March 1st, 2008, I made the following post
I have to say the blog was a lot better in 2006. I think we should stop letting new people post, and return the blog to its old glory, OR we should make threads that only people who were here by summer 2006 can go on. This way, those threads can be the wackiness that they used to be, even though we will be missing some people, who made the blog special
What does everyone else think?
From this post, people assumed that I hated neophytes, when in fact I only wanted to state my OPINION on the way the blog has changed. My comment about I think we should stop letting new people post was out of the line and I regret saying it, but nowhere in that post did I say “I hate Neophytesâ€.
However, most people on the blog assumed that I was Neophyte bashing, and this label grew on me until I decided that since it was the only way I seemed to be noticed, I would take on the role as the “Evil Muse Blogger who hated Neophytesâ€. In case you have never been labeled before, let me tell you what it is like. The name and reputation spreads so quickly and everyone believes it so quickly that you yourself start to mix it up with the truth, and soon enough you identify yourself as that person. I don’t have a malicious personality – in fact most people who know me would say that I am always going out of my way to make people happy, yet the barrage o comments about how I should be nicer, as well as the growing pressure and stress in my life just caused me to crack, and I became known as someone that I don’t want to be known as.
I KNOW that I was a neophyte once, and I was horribly obnoxious, but if you look through recesses of the blog, you will find posts of me making fun of my Neophyte self. Please stop using the “You were a Neophyte once so be nicer†line. I KNOW! I really do.
Some of you probably don’t really want to be associated with me anymore, and that’s OK – it’s your choice. I probably would hate me too if I wasn’t me. But before you start the posts complaining about this one, read through some of my older posts. I’m not actually that bad. I have a lot going on in my life too, and I am probably (and unfairly) taking the stress out in angry posts, and I do apologize.
I’m sorry.
Çɟıן suÉÇɯ Çoz
Who you also know as Treble_Cone_Freeskier!, and Zoe Means Life
Sorry for double posting BUT this couldn’t go with the letter!.
Oh and sorry I posted that letter on 2 treads, but that needs to be cleared up.
AHH THE COLOURS!!!
AQUA BLUE, YELLOW AND ORANGE???
I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!
Does anyone else have these colours???
I’m sending in pictures right now…
and then I’m going to bed
Oohh all this excitement
Colors! Colors! Colors!
I love the colors!
Love the new color scheme. So bright and happy! I’m packing my bags for Space Camp. Maybe I’ll be able to post tomorrow, at my grandmother’s house, but I can’t guarentee any posts until next Sunday.
*pokes head in through door*
I’m home! What’s up with the new colors? It’s too… Artificial and contrived, sort of.
Or, more likely, I just don’t like it because I have a natural tendency to be opposed to change.
…
Or has someone taken over the blog again, and I just missed the exciting part?
:idea:TNÖ:idea:
272- *Hugs*. I know you’re a great person.
Urgh. I really hate these colours.
color glorious color! thanks GAPAs, this is awesome!
372) I never had that impression of you! well it might have to do with the fact I forget what goes on three days after it happens, but you never seemed to complain any more than anyone else…if that any kind of consolation. what I mean to say is, don’t worry about it.
376) have fun~
today I’m going to disneyland 8D/ thankfully I have an annual pass, just have to shell out money for foodz.
and I’m getting my hair cut for anime expo, which is in a little more than a week now! I’m actually missing the last day to go on a mini southwest vacation, mainly new mexico…hopefully there will be many koko sightings haha
WEIRD COLORS!!!
SWEET COLORS!!! Museblog looks bright happy, and FLAMABLAMABLOUS!! But I think you guys should add some bright green, I’m not really diggin’ the dark green.
Whats with the Colors?
um no offense but i find this layout rather disgusting. just my opinion. really not a fan of the yellow. or orange for that matter. the blue is good but you need a darker background with it.
Whoa! What happened? I come back, and it looks like a group of teenagers have been through here with spray cans! Agh! Good thing I don’t have epilepsy!
What is a universal icon for fire? One object that, when everyone sees it, they immediately think “fire.” What single thing represents fire in its entirety?
AH. The colors… O.o Why are my lovely blues and greens?
I agree with ebeth… this doesn’t really do anything for me… it’s just so… bright… like it’s trying shove optimism down my throat.
Reminds me of the April 1st from this year kind of.
The light blue’s not bad, but the yellow and orange really kind of kill it all for me.
hhmmmkay. Colours. What now? *is dazzled*
372- *hugs*
maybe a darker shade of blue? The orange looks horrid on this laptop, but that may be a function of this laptop…
So many complaints! All right, how do you like these beach colors? Better?
I think someone is exercising his own goofy talents…and you said you didn’t have any.
I may have some small talent for making life less predictable for other people.
389- *chuckles*
No, the orange colour is horrid.
385- -a Flame? ????
(385) You mean something like this?
(390) I’d say more like an art form, Mr. Kocoontz.
392- That’s what I pictured!
390- Well, you step up to your cahllenge!
A little darker, but I can’t argue with orange! It’s my second-favourite color!
370- *shifty eyes* yeeess….. Yeah, the weather’s been kinda weird.
372- I remember that post. I really don’t hold it agianst you.
I personaly do not mind the colours. Today I went to the Bata Shoe museum which was cool. Then I took the subway home. I also went for icecream(roasted marshmallow and cofee toffee) which was deelish. Lunch was a tasty portabello mushroom sandwi- how on earth do you spell this word?- anyways it was tastyfull. The thing that totaly made my day, though, was finding a stencil of Scott Pilgrim on the sidewalk at an intersection. It was faded but recognizable. I need to go back with my camera. (I am a scottaholic)
Can’t we just kick the bucket and make everything black, white, and red, have a picture of a nice feminine vixen at the top of every page, drink lots of tea and coffee, and call the site vixenfanpage.com/blog?
I like bright green. It seems… a little more “summery” to me than the icky brown.
392- Hm, well, that would work, but I’m trying to make a coat of arms for something, representing fire and blood. I’ve got the icon for blood down (a heart) but I can’t decide on a thing for fire. I had an oil lamp, then I had a torch, but I still can’t think of something appropriately awesome.
398- i like the brown and blue. let’s amke the orange green.
396- Where do you live? And didn’t you have school today?
Hah, I came on here a minute ago, and in shock tried to start several thoughts at once:
“You-” “Gah-” Who-” “Teal?”
My opinion? The comment box is ugly and overstated, and so are the bars at the top of the comments, distracting from the text in both cases, whereas the recent comments bar is so pale that it’s difficult to read. I do not like the new color scheme one bit.
The front page’s better now, but I agree with PC about the comment box/bars… it’s kind of distracting.
But maybe it’s just my fear/dislike of change. :/
Maybe if the buttons at the top were more yellowy too? It’s more ‘dirt’ than ‘sand’ right now.
But then again if you change it I’m apt to say “no actually go back again.”
I am probably not the best person you want to help decorate a new home or somesuch.
363-How did you get to do that? Can I “sign up” for next year?
399-Ummm…. A candleabra?
I think it should be orange and green instead of orange and lighter orange.
Hello, all!
I am typing from a computer on the Adriatic coast. *shrouds location in mystery* I just arrived this morning from Sarajevo where I have been the last week hence my absence of an ENTIRE WEEK.
7 days of speaking a gramatically-challenged form of Bosglish and trying to communicate with sundry relatives have taken their toll on my orthographic capabilities so please forgive the spelling mistakes likely to ensue.
A great deal has occurred in my life, far more than I’ll have the chance to relate just yet. I’m in a hurry to read through all the other threads and voice my opinions on the new color scheme (which I am delighted to find, is not just a spasmodic freak of my computer, though I think I prefer the old) so I’ll confine myself to a brief-ish synopsis. Concision was never one of my strengths though…
Monday and Tuesday of last week , I visited a lot of people (the old generation of both my maternal and paternal families still lives in Sarajevo). Most of them I haven’t seen in ages. I found, to my great consternation, that my Bosnian has deteriorated yet further. This proved an enormous obstacle in my attempted communications…However, by the end of the week, it got easier, and I actually ended up having some quite nice conversations.
Tuesday, I also went to an enormous museum of…everything, basically. I skipped the natural science section, because it wasn’t particularly excpetional. The Roman tile exhibition smelt bad, but I did wind up going to the part devoted to cultural studies. It was quite froody! There was a model house. Bosnian architecture is a very tasteful, if you ask me
, suffusion of Muslim and European styles. There’s a lot of Ottoman influence, but a sprinkle of something else too. Anyway, the museum was quite a bit of fun…
Ensuing days were spent in promenading through the town. The old town’s really purdy still. Also went and stood in the spot Princip stood in when he shot the archduke. There’s a mini-museum devoted to it, which I perused a bit. Took some pictures with Muse.
Finally, I spent the last few days strolling through the surrounding mountains. The landscape was totally exceptional!
I watched a bunch of soccer too…
Anyway, now I am sitting on the shore typing this. The uproar from the soccer watching crowd just died down. And I needs must go see other threads…
Post more here later…
405 – Um… well, you could sign up for the program… if you have a ridiculously high IQ. I won’t get into details right now, but I will assure you, it’s ridiculously high. Not to be stuck-up or anything.
408-Is there a website? What’s the program’s name?
409 – Davidson Young Scholars. I can say no more.
*sigh* I liked the old colors! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
Indulge me, please. I’ll probably relent and restore them once I stop dreaming of beaches.
I like the color colors of sand, sea, and sky. It’s a nice change.
407- We await further comments!
408- 99.9 percentile. Quite high. Did you get to the NSA through the program, or the summer thing?
AAHHHHHHH THE COLORS OF MUSEBLOG ARE DIFFERENT, MR. KOCOONTZ YOU ARE GOING TO PAY ON SATURDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well, no, not really, I just had to make SOME sort of threat…..
Anyway, I like orange, but it’s a bit over the top. Leave it for a few days and I’ll be complaining when you put it back to rights, oh well. The buels are quite pretty, just not MuseBlog-y. *grump, grump*
I got a new bike last night! Well, new-to-me anyway. It’s actually old–quite old–1939. It’s red, has balloon tires, big wide fenders, no gears and pedal brakes. And it’s even a girl’s bike, ha! Although, my dad rode it in college, sharing with his siblings. He has stories of tearing from one side of campus to the other with my aunt Mary on the handlebars to get to class…..eek!
I actually got my first ride on the handlebars of a bike though, and it’s rather terrifying.
I ♥ my new old bike…..
you should really add green somewhere…. maybe instead of orange and orange, green and orange?
Yes, green is nice!
Green, for what? Seaweed? I added green this morning, and nobody liked it.
Okaaaaay, the color change surprised me. I have to say I did not see this coming. Not the greatest color combination, but it’s not terrible.
416~ A nice seafoam green would be quite pretty, I think. Could you make it into a background color? That would be nice, or perhaps the comment bars, like beatlesrocker suggested, now that would be pretty.
off to disneyland momentarily yay~
The brown is a little off from the rest of the colors…
I like the brownish purple on the top of the page, but maybe they would be better orange, because the top of the page is all blue, and then as you scroll down it becomes very orange.
413 – I went with the Davidson Young Scholars program.
EGAD! is this what happens when I leave for a long time? SO. MANY. COMMENTS.
372- I never took that post that way. It was only in some of the later posts, where you actually stated that you disliked ‘phytes, that I began to believe you hated them.
384- Hi Grant! A sign for fire would be a flame.
397- I’m sure you would like that. I don’t care for black, white, and red, though.
399- Hmm. I’ll think about that.
407- I envy you.
414- I envy you too. That bike sounds amazing.
AND NOW, my opinion on the color scheme.
The bar at the top needs a little something orange to correspond with the comments. I really like the change, and I like all the colors, but the bar is more icy while the comments are more similar to the beack colors you are looking for. Also, I can hardly read the GAPAs’ names. Other than that, ’tis froody.
Yeah…no real adventures since the last JobCorpsLand expedition…Eva is staying at my house, which is fun.
Has anyone seen Firefly? I’m looking forward to Autumn’s colors.
424~ Yes, the bike is amazing. One could ven say it’s the wung’s buttons.
I agree that the top should have a bit of prange, and a bit of light green wouldn’t be misplaced either….
I have to go again, now I need to eat the stir fry that I was helping to make last time.
425- Firefly?
423- ah.
My opinions on color scheme: I’d like a seaweed green instead of the light purple brown. At least a sunbleached wood brown.
I’m in the USA again. I don’t even feel like trying to read all these comments so I think I’ll just wait for June.
I just left about this time last night and I already miss all of my friends from the trip. I was actually crying earlier.
We actually got home around 3 hours ago.
428~ It sounds like you had a good trip? Welcome back, anyway, it sounds like you need a bit of pie. *hands over a warm pie of your flavor choice*
‘Night all. I’m off for now, but I shall return again!! (Yes,that’s a threat.
