President Obama has just issued this statement about Nimoy’s passing. Considering how often the President has been compared to a Vulcan, it comes as no surprise to learn that he was a fan:
In the middle of the earth
in the land of Shire
lives a brave little hobbit whom we all admire
with a long wooden pipe
fuzzy wooly toes
lives in a hobbit hole and everybody knows him
RIP, Mr. Nimoy, Boston and BU are very proud of you.
