It’s 3/14/15 according to the American date-writing convention, and this thread is set to go live at 9:26. At some point between 53 and 54 seconds later, the world will experience (or will have experienced, depending on when you read this) Pi Moment.
And there was much rejoicing!
Happy Pi Day to all my favourite colonials.
Pi day in Britaln is on 31st April, which looks like a valid date, but in reality it doesn’t exist.
That seems strangely appropriate.
Hm… On 3 January 2041 you’ll have four digits.

My friends and I had a pi day party. They made a bunch of crust and folks brought fillings and we made lots of pie and quiche! Nom nom nom.
My mom, being a total nerd, decided that we should set off a firework at 9:26 tonight. I heartily agreed. We probably weirded out the neighbors.
The Trekkie and I celebrated by screenshotting his computer clock, since we unfortunately do not own an oven, and therefore cannot make pie. Still, it was very exciting, counting down to the second.
I bought an entire pie (chocolate pecan) and an entire quiche (“primavera”) for pi day, despite being the only one who eats either pie or quiche in my apartment – I was hungry at the time of purchase, in my defense.
We also bought a pizza for dinner, which meant that I was too full to eat much of the pie. The quiche was breakfast today (and probably for several future days, though I am considering eating quiche and pie for lunch as well).
