((0- Haha. Seriously, I want to edit me with my origin and Leafy’s death, as we have confirmed she is dead now.))
((Umm…what exactly is the point of this thread? Sorry I’ve been MIA and have no idea, but what are we editing about BA?))
((2- Ask someone who’s done this kind of thing.))
2- I believe, (a very long time ago) I said that when BA was done, I would edit and create it into a more cohesive story, more available to the all and sundry; and far more easily understood.
I intend to keep my word. Let’s get on with it, people!
((4- All right! *rubs hands together* So I’ll post where people stop the frantic melee and actually RP.))

My phone beeped. “Dr. Canix, you’re needed in the lab.â€
I pulled it out of my pocket and flipped it open. “On my way, Wyatt. What have you got for me?â€
“I’m not sure, sir, but I think it’s Bunnius aerialis. The ball-and-socket joint at the base of the ear, the rigid cartilage, the powerful cranial muscle… â€
“So why are you unsure? It seems to have all the hallmarks of a standard aerialis.â€
“It breathes fire.â€
I paused and shook my head, swallowing until my ears popped. “What?â€
“It breathes fire, sir. Burned Grayson badly before the patrol brought it down.â€
I paused again, the momentous implications of the statement striking me with the force of a 16-ton weight. I’d thought the rumors about the new aerialis/draconis hybrids were hoaxes or exaggerations, but if they were founded on fact…
I took a deep breath, then spoke again. “Keep it confined, Wyatt, and don’t depigmentize it until I give the word. This is monumental. I want you to notify groundhog22, Earl Gray, Fiona O’Connell- every bunny researcher within range of our transmitter. They have got to know about this.â€

I would love to join this, if possible.
The helibunnies were swooping down on us in great numbers. As if in a daze, I smelt their hellish hot pink breath, saw their blindingly pink hides, smelt their bunny smell, and realized that I was on the verge of being bunnified. THis was enough to startle me into action. With all the strength I could muster, I yelled, “Scatter and get to the lairs through whatever tunnel is possible. Try to get them off your scent so we don’t reveal our hiding place.†Praying that I would be listened to or that a better plan would be devised (as mine obviously had some enormous holes), I followed my own advice and ran madly away from the hell-hares. As I sprinted, I let fly a couple of pies. Fighting and planning really weren’t my strong points and I noticed that the pies flew far off their marks.
23. POSOC | April 10th, 2008 at 5:26 pm
On my way to the lab, I passed through the situation room. General Valentine was there, with a huddled group of officers around him, listening to battle reports from the frontier. “…large group of Human Resistance fighters routed, retreating in our direction, approx. 50 clicks away. At least three battalions are in pursuit, mainly zombies and demibunnies with platoon of full bunnies, possible 29th or 28th Ear Lancers, under command of Magentaral William. Supporting squadrons of helibunnies are tracking west… â€
I whisked through the room and plunged on through the antiseptic white corridors of the scientific-medical wing, into room 9949245, where Wyatt was waiting with the specimen.
25. Hypatia | April 10th, 2008 at 5:33 pm
Still flicking pies at my pursuers, I dashed through the dense undergrowth that covered our makeshift battlefield. As I ran, briars tore at my hands and I nearly stumbled over ivy leaves several times. The pain was almost intolerable and had it not been for my dread of bunnification, I most certaintly would have given up hope. Vaguely, I considered the fate of the others. I was almost certain that I had heard Ã߀ƒ yelling something about retreat, though in the general tumult of the battle, all specific instructions had receeded to indistinct noise. Well, if all went well I would soon find out. These thoughts had occupied my mind as I ran and I now realized that my pursuers, incapable of deflty navagating the flora had dropped behind. I judged it an expedient moment to dive into one of the tunnels that opened into an underground resistance hideout and cover the hole with what sticks and leaves were needed to camoflauge it.
26. Ã߀ƒ | April 10th, 2008 at 5:35 pm
I made sure everyone alive was accounted for before I sprinted into the tunnel. There was a deafening explosion as the entrance collapsed just behind me. Dust fell from the ceiling, and the light of day flickered out. Then all was still.
*turns on flashlight* “Come on guys, we have to keep moving. It’s not safe here.†*notices deepish cut on leg* *pain* “Owww! Is there a doctor in the house?â€
27. Hypatia | April 10th, 2008 at 5:39 pm
Breathing a sigh of relief, I began to crawl down an underground tunnel lined in soil. Up above, I could hear my pursuers making some feeble attempt to discover where I had disappeared to. I chortled viciously. It had always given me profound moral satisfaction to outwit them in way. Just to ensure that they remembered that bipeds were mentally superior. Still, I thought it best to advance a little way down the tunnel, caving it in behind me as I went. This was an agreed upon safety precaution. Some way down, the tunnels converged on a sort of common room.
I have been writing this assuming there is some sort of an underground hide out. If there is any problem with that, I will happily rewrite the last two posts to relocate myself somewhere else.

Wyatt, a pale, thin young man, stood at a console elevated several feet above the floor. The room was mainly occupied by a hexagonal chamber of transparent carbon composite, currently filled with roiling white steam.
Wyatt turned and nodded to me. “I’ve had the sedative mist going for the past five minutes. This should keep her out of it for two hours at least.â€
“Good. That should be enough to conduct a preliminary examination. Siphon off the mist, and we’ll go in.â€
Wyatt flicked a lever on the console, and the humming of the blowers changed timbre. The mist vanished into vents in the floor, revealing the creature imprisoned within.

“IBCF, Hypatia, Good to see you. IBCF, What do we need to do for that leg? a GashGuard TM?â€
IBCF Nods. I open the First aid kid and apply one.
“Now then, I’m Guessing we’re going to the Briefing Room From The Transporter?â€
30. Hypatia | April 10th, 2008 at 5:48 pm
There I saw Ã߀ƒ leading a small band. I was relieved beyond words to find that we all seemed to have escaped. Medically speaking, however, we were in pretty bad shape. A sundry assortment of abrasions, bruses, and puncture wounds had appeared on everyone’s limbs. I took in the scene. In all fairness, it was pretty pathetic.
“Hello,†I said, “Is everyone all right? Or at least able to breath? Who’s still missing?â€
((Okay, I don’t want to make this super long, so there’s the first part I want to do. Now what?))
5- good work. That’s a perfect example.
4- So we’re basically turning it into an action novel?\? Cool! I wanna help!
How’s this?
31. Ã߀ƒ | April 10th, 2008 at 5:50 pm
We hurried down the tunnel, driven by the sounds that echoed from the cave entrance. The bunnies would not be stopped by dirt and stone; they would dig until we were found. Walking further, we suddenly came across Hypatia standing in a larger cavern.
“Quickly, follow us! We have to keep going!â€
35. Hypatia | April 10th, 2008 at 6:33 pm
We continued to walk through the tunnels. Although, I understand that the moment called for silence and not for my inquisitve demands, I could not refrain myself from asking, “Is everyone here?†and “Where are we going?†I thought longingly of snug little headquarters and wondered if they were still secure. It seemed like an audacious wish as I knew we were significantly weakened by this most recent attack and would probably have to move, but ambiguous hopes were just about all that we had to go on since the bunnification and annhilation of so many trusty humans. The soil lining the walls was cold and damp, little comfort for me, who wished for warm hearths emitting light and heat, but feeling its rough edges gave me something to do as I waited for an answer.
36. Ã߀ƒ | April 10th, 2008 at 6:37 pm
“We’re missing Eli, Matt, Ken, and Derek. I saw Ken get *shudders* bunnified, and Matt was killed by an explosion. If the others are alive or not, there’s nothing we can do for them here. We have to report back to Sierra.â€
38. Turquoise | April 10th, 2008 at 6:39 pm
I ran down the underground tunnel toward the rapidly disappearing group. “Wait for me! The HPBs are coming!†I reached the group and we hurried off.
40. Alice | April 10th, 2008 at 7:04 pm
I crouched in the bushes, clutching the drawn bow with sweaty fingers. “I’m not here, I’m not here,†I chanted in my head, but I knew as surely as I lived, that they knew I was here.
41. Ã߀ƒ | April 10th, 2008 at 7:30 pm
After traveling about a mile in the dark tunnels, I saw a familiar mark on the ceiling. I placed my hand on the left wall and walked about 15 feet, then felt a spot that didn’t feel like rock. It was a curtain disguised a wall. I moved the curtain aside and stepped into another tunnel.
42. POSOC | April 10th, 2008 at 7:34 pm
The bunny was completely unconscious, ears rigid and standing up straight, back to back, in the manner of the common aerialis when at rest. Its ghostly white eyes were shut tightly.
I noted its various characteristics. The rotor ears, the pale coloration, the streamlined ovoid shape- all were hallmarks of an undistinguished helibunny. However, the pink fur darkened to a fiery, deep magenta around the whitish lips, and hardened into horny scale-like protrusions. A trail of smoke drifted from the corner of the mouth.
“Anything unusual about the circumstances of the capture?†I asked Wyatt.
“As a matter of fact, yes. She was wearing this.†Wyatt pulled on long rubber gloves and reached into a sealed container near the wall.
“Wearing?†I inquired. “But HPBs have never really gone in for clothes, have they?â€
“Not clothing. Armor.†Wyatt pulled out a metal object that resembled a medieval helmet. It was designed to fit snugly around a near-spherical head, with substantial holes to allow the ears freedom of movement. Engraved upon its dully shining surface were weird hieroglyphs unlike anything I’d ever seen.
Wyatt indicated two oval pieces of metal with leather straps trailing from their sides, resting inside the container. “Those were fastened to the ears. Their edges are jagged and razor sharp. I presume, sir, that you can imagine the sort of damage a bunny flying with that sort of armament could cause. It’s like having a circular saw strapped to your head.â€
I scowled. “Did you call the researchers?â€
“I called O’Connell, left a message with Groundhog. Couldn’t get through to Gray- â€
That was bad news. Last we’d heard of Gray, he’d been holed up in Glasgow. If Glasgow had fallen, that meant one of humanity’s last footholds in Europe had gone down. “What did O’Connell say?â€
“She’s in Japan.â€
Wyatt didn’t need to say more. I knew the implications. If she left her hiding place, the bunja would descend on her like a pack of critics on a B-movie. That left us with Groundhog. I hoped she was still alive and in a condition to meet us.
43. Hypatia | April 10th, 2008 at 8:32 pm
As I was the last to step through the veil, I had a chance to survey the survivors yet more closely than before. We were really little more than a pack of desperate humans, doomed to failure. Our bunnification was imminent. We had embarked on a desperate quest to postpone it. Sad, really. I had vaguely been counting those who remained as I watched them walk through the curtains when it struck me that Ã߀ƒ’s tally of all missing was incomplete. Where was Alice? I glanced around. Nowhere in sight. “Did anyone see what happened to Alice?†I said, desperately hoping for an answer in the affirmative.
An interrobang (‽) could be used in the heading of this thread.
Just amuse me died after the first first thread.
Guys, here’s the story so far:

I had not escaped. As a matter of fact, at the moment he ended his sentence, I was within seconds of being discovered by a band of bunnies, and as the little band hoped for my safety, the bushes were pushed back and my arrow fled from the bow. I launched them left and right, but there were too many of the bunnies, and soon my quiver was exhausted. They bore down on me like a freight train, and I was overwhelmed. I felt a hot finger of flame on my hand, and I screamed.

Yes, sir!

We’ll have to inject pigment 24 Indigo to suppress the fire-breathing reflex. First, though, we have to get some DNA- find out as much about these things as we can.
Now- what have you observed about the hybrids’ tactics in battle? Their flight formations, any special abilities? Tell me anything you think might be useful.â€
((I hope this doesn’t crash the blog it’s so long.))
((We need to add Liss to the list of missing people.))
“We’re missing Eli, Matt, Ken, Liss, and Derek. I saw Ken get *shudders* bunnified, and Matt was killed by an explosion. If the others are alive or not, there’s nothing we can do for them here. We have to report back to Sierra.â€
((There.))
((12- I just named those random people after some of my friends at school. ))
((Yess! Thank you so much, GAPAs!
So, what the heck are we doing? I thought that on BA#6 we had agreed (okay, groundhog and I had agreed) that we were going to ditch the first person POVs entirely so as to avoid confusion and use a third person-omniscient POV (I know, it’ll take a lot more editing, but it’ll be worth it in the end)….. and hopefully get rid of the action asterisks so the end product would flow a bit better….. and, if we’re going to turn this into a story, it might be a good idea to get rid of the post numbers and times, even if we’re not going to rewrite the whole thing from the beginning…..
But, whatever people want. That’s just my (and groundhog’s, but I don’t really want to speak for her) idea. And, now that I’m done ranting……
1-Yeah, I kinda need to make up, if not a summary of what my character was doing for four threads, at least who the heck I am….. Actually that was kinda already done for me (thank you, Nilly or whoever said I’d been in Russia), but, you know……
2-And POSOC. POSOC and Dr. Canix are NOT the same person, at least according to ZVX. Liss and POSOC were on a mission, and they got captured (see comment #something near the end of BA:TNG#1 for what the heck I’m talking about). It doesn’t really matter, but it’s tidier for the second story.
I would write an idea of what I’m visualizing the story as looking like, but I’m blanking on any ideas right now, even on how to rewrite something that’s already written….. Ick. Hopefully I’ll do that sometime tonight, though…..))
((14- Liss got captured in Las Vegas, the opening scene. Okay?))
((15-Sure. I guess……))
((I ditched the idea of a wiki edit, because, try as I might, I couldn’t get the stupid thing to work.
14 – I am of the same opinion as you. But getting all of the non-RP posts out of the way is still a good idea.
Maybe if each of us took a section of BA, a chapter, so to speak, and edited it, and then we put all of the chapters together?))
((17: I wanna do the sub battle!))
((17-Sure…… But how do we decide where the chapters are? I mean, BA doesn’t really have any breaks, or even dramatic pauses. It’s pretty much nonstop action. But, I guess I can do the scene where we’re all in the bunny ship (BA#5+6). I was like the only one posting my part of the story there (*glares at earthgirl*–hey, where is earthgirl? I haven’t seen her since late August!)……
Okay, I think I’ll now post my idea of how I’d like to do the story. I’ll be demonstrating on the portion of the story that people have already posted.
*rolls up sleeves* *gets scalpel out*
Okay, so……..))
Dr. Canix was sitting in front of his computer, looking at some test results and hoping that today was going to be a bit more restful that yesterday. It had been a pretty good day so far, actually; there hadn’t been any bunny attacks so far, nobody had ben killed, and–
His phone beeped. “Dr. Canix, you’re needed in the lab.â€
He pulled it out of my pocket and flipped it open.
Dr.Canix paused and shook his head, swallowing hard. “What?”
“It breathes fire, sir. Burned Grayson badly before the patrol brought it down.â€
Canix paused again, the momentous implications of the statement striking him. He had always thought the rumors about the new aerialis/draconis hybrids were hoaxes or exaggerations, but if they were founded on fact…
He took a deep breath, then spoke again. “Keep it confined, Wyatt, and don’t depigmentize it until I give the word. This is monumental. I want you to notify groundhog, Earl Gray, Fiona O’Connell- every bunny researcher within range of our transmitter. They have got to know about this.â€
*******
Hypatia screamed.
The helibunnies were swooping down on her small search party in great numbers. She could see people– the leader of their expedition, Derek; her friend Anna– being shot with blasters, or whatever the bunny equivalent was, and falling. bleeding way too much to live. This was enough to shock Hypatia into action.
With all the strength she could muster, she yelled, “Scatter and get to the lairs through whatever tunnel is possible! Try to get them off your scent so we don’t reveal our hiding place!†Praying that she would be listened to or that a better plan would be devised, she followed her own advice and ran madly away from the hell-hares. As she sprinted, she let fly a couple of shots from my blaster [I know it says pies in the original, but this is NOT Pie War, people!]. Fighting and planning really weren’t her strong points and she noticed that the shots flew far off their marks.
Still shooting at her pursuers, Hypatia dashed through the dense undergrowth that covered the base’s makeshift battlefield. As she ran, briars tore at her hands and she nearly stumbled over ivy leaves several times. The pain was almost intolerable and had it not been for my dread of bunnification, she most certaintly would have given up hope. Vaguely, Hypatia considered the fate of the others. She was almost certain that she had heard IBCF [I know, it’s not hard to do the special characters– heck, I c+pd all of this, but for some reason I don’t like them (just in the story, IBCF). We can always put them back in, though.] yelling something about retreat, though in the general tumult of the battle, all specific instructions had receeded to indistinct noise. Well, if all went well she would soon find out. These thoughts had occupied her mind as she ran, and she now realized that her pursuers, incapable of deftly navagating the flora, had dropped behind. Hypatia judged it an expedient moment to dive into one of the tunnels that opened into an underground Resistance hideout and cover the hole with what sticks and leaves were needed to camoflauge it.
……..
IBCF made sure everyone alive was accounted for before he sprinted into the tunnel. There was a deafening explosion as the entrance collapsed just behind him. Dust fell from the ceiling, and the light of day flickered out. Then all was still.
He turned on a flashlight, noting that it was from the kit that groundhog had told him was pointless to carry around. He’d have to tell her when they all got back.
If they got back, that is.
No. I can’t think like that. We have to get back. Stay positive, IBCF.
“Come on, guys, we have to keep moving. It’s not safe here, not anymore.†He shone the flashlight around, taking in how many people had serious wounds. It wasn’t until they had all begun to move down the tunnel that IBCF noticed he had a deepish cut on his own leg. It was also at about that time that he began to feel it. “Owww! Is there a doctor in the house?â€
*******
On his way to the lab, Dr. Canix passed through the situation room. General Valentine was there, with a huddled group of officers around him, listening to battle reports from the frontier. “…large group of Human Resistance fighters routed, retreating in our direction, approx. 50 klicks [does anyone really mind if I correct the spelling of a measurement that doesn’t exist anyway?] away. At least three battalions are in pursuit, mainly zombies and demibunnies with platoon of full bunnies, possible 29th or 28th Ear Lancers, under command of Magentaral William. Supporting squadrons of helibunnies are tracking west… â€
Dr. Canix whisked through the room and plunged on through the antiseptic white corridors of the scientific-medical wing, into room 9949245, where Wyatt was waiting with the specimen.
Wyatt, a pale, thin young man, stood at a console elevated several feet above the floor. The room was mainly occupied by a hexagonal chamber of transparent carbon composite, currently filled with roiling white steam.
Wyatt turned and nodded to Canix.
*********
As IBCF, Hypatia, and the others walked down the tunnel, IBCF limping exaggeratedly and being scolded by Hypatia, they were surprised to see TMFA melt out of the shadow and join them. “IBCF, Hypatia, good to see you. IBCF, what do we need to do for that leg? a GashGuardâ„¢?â€
IBCF nodded. TMFA opened the first aid kit he had with him (probably from the emergency box whixh was in a corner of each room of the base), and applied one.
“Now then, I’m guessing we’re going to the Briefing Room from The Transporter?â€
The group hurried down the tunnel, driven by the sounds that echoed from the cave entrance. The bunnies would not be stopped by dirt and stone; they would dig until we were found.
“Who’s missing?” Hypatia asked, breaking the silence. “We’re missing Eli, Matt, Ken, Liss, POSOC, and Derek.” IBCF replied. “I saw Ken get bunnified–” IBCF shuddered– “and Matt was killed by an explosion. If the others are alive or not, there’s nothing we can do for them here. We have to report back to Sierra.â€
*******
Alice crouched in the bushes, clutching the drawn bow with sweaty fingers. “I’m not here, I’m not here,†she chanted in my head, but she knew as surely as she lived, that they knew she was here.
*********
After traveling about a mile in the dark tunnels, IBCF called a halt. He placed his hand on the left wall and walked about 15 feet, then felt a spot that looked like rock to everyone else in the group but apparently felt different than the rest of the tunnel, and the reason for it feeling different became clear in a moment. It was a curtain disguised a wall. IBCF moved the curtain aside and stepped into another tunnel.
As Hypatia was the last to step through the veil, she had a chance to survey the survivors yet more closely than before. They were all really little more than a pack of desperate humans, doomed to failure. Their bunnification was imminent. They had embarked on a desperate quest to postpone it. Sad, really. Hypatia had vaguely been counting those who remained as she watched them walk through the curtains when it struck her that IBCF’s tally of all missing was incomplete. Where was Alice? Hypatia glanced around. Nowhere in sight. “Did anyone see what happened to Alice?†she said, desperately hoping for an answer in the affirmative.
IBCF stopped in his tracks. “Alice! Where is she? Have you seen her, anyone?†Nobody knew. TMFA shook his head sadly. “There’s still hope. I thought I saw her leave before the battle ended. She may have escaped.†He inwardly hoped this was true, but he doubted it. Bunnies were ruthless and methodical. They would search the battlefield until they found every single human, and they seldom took prisoners.
********
The bunny was completely unconscious, ears rigid and standing up straight, back to back, in the manner of the common aerialis when at rest. Its ghostly white eyes were shut tightly.
Dr Canix noted its various characteristics.
“Anything unusual about the circumstances of the capture?†he asked Wyatt.
“As a matter of fact, yes. She was wearing this.†Wyatt pulled on long rubber gloves and reached into a sealed container near the wall.
“Wearing?†Canix inquired. “But HPBs have never really gone in for clothes, have they?â€
“Not clothing. Armor.†Wyatt pulled out a metal object that resembled a medieval helmet. It was designed to fit snugly around a near-spherical head, with substantial holes to allow the ears freedom of movement. Engraved upon its dully shining surface were weird hieroglyphs unlike anything Dr. Canix ever seen.
Canix grimaced. “Did you call the researchers?â€
“I called O’Connell, left a message with Groundhog. Couldn’t get through to Gray- â€
That was bad news. The last anyone heard of Gray, he’d been holed up in Glasgow. If Glasgow had fallen, that meant one of humanity’s last footholds in Europe had gone down. “What did O’Connell say?â€
“She’s in Japan.â€
Wyatt didn’t need to say more. Canix knew the implications. If she left her hiding place, the bunja would descend on her like a pack of critics on a B-movie. That left them with Groundhog. He hoped she was still alive and in a condition to meet them.
******
TMFA looked at everyone’s stricken faces. “I’m going to call the base. They might have news abut Alice or the bunnies.” He pulled a radio out of his pocket and switched it on.
“Hello, General Valentine. We have left Las Vegas, or what remains at least. I have to say, before you get mad at us for losing, There were Helibunnies.â€
“So?†asked Valentine. “You are trained to attack and depigmentize ALL Bunnies!â€
“These also breath fire.â€
“WHAT!â€
“I feel that we need to see Dr. Canix.â€
“Fine,†grumbled Valentine. “You know where to find a telephone.â€
A little put of by his curtness, everyone hurried off to the room with the telephone.
………..
Dr. Canix’s phone suddenly rang. He answered. “Dr. Canix, Laboratory. Hang up unless it’s important.â€
“It is. We’ve seen Helibunnies breathing fire.â€
“So have I. Come down to the Laboratory and you’ll see what I mean. We’ll discuss this further. I’d appreciate the input of someone who’s seen these things in combat.â€
“What? You’ve seen fire-breathing Helibunnies?” IBCF broke in on the conversation. “This is a breakthrough! Show me!”
“All right. Come down to the lab. I’ll meet you there.”
*******
Alice had not escaped. As a matter of fact, at the moment TMFA hung up [look, I don’t know who ‘he’ is, and if I’m editing, I think I have the right to make a few adjustments!], she was within seconds of being discovered by a band of bunnies, and as the little band hoped for her safety, the bushes were pushed back and her arrow fled from the bow. Alice launched arrows left and right, but there were too many of the bunnies, and soon her quiver was exhausted. They bore down on her like a freight train, and she was overwhelmed. Alice felt a hot finger of flame on her hand, and she screamed.
Then everything went black.
*******
At the blocked tunnel entrance, all was quiet for a few minutes. Then the surrounding woods suddenly exploded with bunnies. One, a large one with what seemed to be a crown of some kind, screamed at the others, “DIG, YOU SLUGS! DIG! WE’LL SHOVEL THEM OUT OF THEIR RAT HOLE!”
A smaller bunny with black strips of fabric on its ears [this could be their system of ranking or something?] walked up to the large bunny and bowed. “Oh great commander William, we have taken a human prisoner. She was one of the group that escaped in the tunnel.”
“GOOD WORK… IT LOOKS LIKE WE WON’T HAVE TO DIG THE HUMANS OUT NOW. BRING HER TO ME!” Said the larger bunny William, who seemed to be unable to speak without shouting.
“Yes, sir!”
******
Dr. Canix brought IBCF and everyone else into the lab. “This is the hybrid. She’s still unconscious, and will hopefully remain so for another hour. Wyatt and I will depigmentize her in a few minutes. We’ll have to inject pigment 24 Indigo to suppress the fire-breathing reflex. First, though, we have to get some DNA- find out as much about these things as we can.
Now– what have you observed about the hybrids’ tactics in battle? Their flight formations, any special abilities? Tell me anything you think might be useful.â€
((What does everyone think?
And, sorry GAPAs….. Hopefully you’ll be entertained reading it, though…..))
((Wow, that was really fast, considering…… Did you really read all that, GAPAs? Yes, I guess you did….. SFTD and semi-PoPo.))
((19 – That’s really good. I say we save that part.))
((21-Thanks. It was really easy, actually; I basically just replaced ‘I’ with ‘he’ or ‘she’ or the name of the person and so on, and wrote stuff of my own only when people had used action asterisks or what they wrote was too confusing, and I added a bit at the very beginning so it would seem a bit more like the beginning of the story rather than just the beginning of someone’s post, and I wrote the part with William over again so it would flow better, but other that that stuff I tried to keep what people had written as closely as possible. I think I kept almost all of the lines.
It’s actually really fun to do. If nobody else says they want to do the next part, I can do that too.
*goes off to c+p the rest of BA (okay fine, the first thread) into a word document*))
((22 – I think I’m going to write a short prologue. Maybe I’m being piggy, but I’d really like to include that speech I made at the beginning somehow.))
((23-A prologue would be awesomely fantastic. We need some way to introduce the characters, the Resistance, and what’s going on, anyway. And when I read your speech for the first time (I read the whole story from the beginning when I first joined MB, remember?), I literally laughed out loud. And Robert: “Forth, Eorlingas! Whoops. Whoa!”
But really, your speech would be nice. It wouldn’t work for the prologue to happen just before the story begins, but prologues usually aren’t anyway. Maybe it could happen just after the bunny apocalypse (the event, not the story), when the Resistance hasn’t been formed yet, and that’s what you’re giving the speech to inspire people to do? That is, you are giving the speech to inspire the survivors to form the Resistance. Just an idea.))
18- Can you cut my part out? It didn’t really count for anything and was just sort of weird.
((25-What did you do? Forgive me, I’m not supposed to be on the computer now, and I really don’t know even which thread the battle is on (the sub battle, peoples. The battle is on all the threads.)…… In any case, you couldn’t have been crazier than CTN. I’m almost finding myself not liking her, because of her we lost the best RPer we had, and everyone had already agreed at the beginning of the first thread that we weren’t going to have any pies and that this RPG was going to be futuristic, not totally unrealistic……
Bleah. I’m ranting. Sorry. Kai, if your part was more than minor, I think it would be unnecessary to cut you out, as well as confusing. If you want we can, but I wouldn’t ask to get edited out of an RPG (especially one whose basic premise is that it’s the future and we’re fighting evil hot pink bunnies) because you feel like your part is ‘weird’.))
The essentials;
HPBs start the fight
HPBs win !
HPBs do a victory lap (the s are should to be HPBs, if they aren’t, pie my computer !)
((27-Not exactly……. We won, for one thing. And yes, you can sum the story up as HPBs take over the world, we fight them, we win, but that’s not really the point of this thread.
So, I’m gonna get to work on the next part of the story……))
((Yeah, I’ll get started on the part where I come in (Marianas Trench). So, we’re taking out CTN? Okay, I can work with that. I can PP myself.
27- You need to do double spaces between your smilies. I did a great tutorial on the SSSS thread.))
((29-I wasn’t suggesting that we take out CTN, I was just stating that I felt kinda…… something…. about her. We could, though, actually that might be a good idea…. Yeah, sure.
But what do you mean, you can PP yourself? I can work out most abbreviations, but not that one, for some reason…..
I think I’ve done enough of the story to post it…… I’ll go check.
*goes and checks*
Yup, I think so….. here goes.))
“Their battle tactics……” IBCF said. “They often come from straight from above in large waves, and breath their fire down on us. We don’t even see them coming. Then they swoop back up just before they hit the ground, but not before they use their spinning ears to cut through anyone unfortunate enough to be in their path. I myself was hurt this way.” IBCF winced at the pain in his leg. “They seem to have some sort of armor on their eartips, too.”
“They’re horrific. They’re demonic. They’re infernal.” Hypatia put in.
*********
Groundhog sat at her desk in the HBP lab, working feverishly. The hybrid HPB’s seemed to be able to cut straight through the original bunnyproof suit, and furthermore did not react to the depigmentizer darts. As the inventor of the original suit, she had volunteered to design a new one to defend against the hybrids.
The noise of the door opening made her jump. Despite the fact that the lab’s location was secret, and that the lab itself was fortified with pietanium, Groundhog couldn’t suppress some nervousness that the bunnies were going to discover and break into the lab. she whipped around, only to discover that it was just Dr. Canix and IBCF, who were carrying… An unconscious hybrid HPB??? She leapt out of her seat and ran over to them as fast as was humanly possible. “Guys!†Groundhog exclaimed. “Is that what I think it is? Because if it is, I’ll need the body after it gets depigmentzed–I need to analyze its armor and weaponry. †At that point, she realized that I hadn’t exactly greeted them, and that IBCF appeared to have an injured leg. “Are you all right? Apart from your leg, IBCF, I can tell that’s injured without any help.†she reached into my backpack and pulled out her first aid kit. “I’m not a medical doctor, I’m an inventor, but this should help until you can get to the hospital.†she pulled a bottle of disinfectant, some gauze pads and a rolled up bandage out of the box. “Dab the disinfectant onto the wound, then attach a clean pad over it with the bandage.†Groundhog then turned towards Dr. Canix. “Sorry I couldn’t reply to your messages. My phone’s encoding module broke some weeks ago, so I couldn’t reply without the bunnies picking up the transmission and hearing it. So, what’s happening on the battlefront?â€
“Thank you, groundhog.” IBCF said. “The bunnies routed us and chased us back to the cave. The last I heard of them, they were digging up the cave entrance. Do you think they’ll find us here?â€â€¨TMFA walked into into Groundhog’s lab in time to catch the end of IBCF’s sentence.
 “I doubt it IBCF. We’re moving!â€
“Moving?â€â€¨
“Yeah! Valentine is moving the complex over to ‘Frisco.â€
*******
Alice regained consciousness with a shock a few hours later, and found herself standing, bound hand and feet and with twenty HPBs at her back, in front of an especially large, formidable-looking HPB wearing a crown-like thing and even more armor than the others.
“Human, we will not hurt you, we will not bunnify you, as long as you do what we say,” the bunny said.
Alice shuddered. “What…. what do you want me to do?â€
“YOU MUST PARTICIPATE IN A VIDEO. LET YOUR FELLOW HUMANS KNOW THAT YOU ARE CAPTURED AND NEED THEIR HELP IMMEDIATELY. TELL THEM THERE IS NO HOPE IN A RESCUE ATTEMPT, AND IF THEY SURRENDER NOW YOU WILL NOT BE SUBJECT TO BUNNIFICATION.”
********
‘Frisco? That place is a bunny nest! What’s Valentine thinking?â€Dr. Canix gasped. Then it hit him. “Oh. The BART system. Of course. The bunnies sealed off the tunnels when they took over, so we should be able to remain undetected.â€â€¨He turned to his companions. “Groundhog, Wyatt, I’ll need your help transporting this thing. Let’s put it in the portable cage.â€
• Canix turned around. “For those of you who don’t know, the BART system is Bay Area Rapid Transport, the San Francisco Bay subway system. When they zombified the population of San Francisco, the bunnies sealed off the BART stations, but there’s still a few places where we can get in.â€â€¨â€œOh, I see.†said IBCF, who had been looking confused.
Suddenly, Kokonilly materialized out of nowhere– no doubt she’d used the teleporter. “Hello, everybody!â€
“Hi, Kokonilly. Where did you come from?” TMFA asked.
“Hello, Kokonilly. If you haven’t noticed, we’re currently moving to San Fransisco to evade the bunnies.†said IBCF.
********
Alice hesitated. She felt the bunnies’ eyes boring into her, and knew that if she refused, she wouldn’t last for two seconds. Alice shuddered. “Fine. Fine. I’ll do it.â€â€¨
“A WISE DECISION, HUMAN. YOU ARE SMARTER THAN THE LAST ONE WHO REFUSED TO COOPERATE.” The large bunny grinned evilly. “PROCEED!”
” Yes, commander!” The smaller bunny saluted, then held up a camera for Alice. “Speak now, human.”
Alice began to speak, desperately. “My dear, dear, friends, I have been taken hostage. Don’t –” She winced as one of the spears pricked her back. “I mean, I need your help desperately. Don’t bother trying to me rescue me, though, you’ll never make it. If you surrender, they won’t bunnify me. Help.†Alice took a deep breath and leaned in closer to the camera. Her wits were befuddled with fear and a mixture of desire to live and loyalty to her friends and cause, and she had hoped that she might somehow give the others a sign – a sign to do what, she had no idea. But this time the spear did not just prick her. Alice cried out in pain and fell to the ground, clutching her wound. It was not bad, a large but not life-threatening cut, but by the Muses, did it hurt!
The large bunny grinned. “A TASTE OF WHAT WOULD HAVE COME IF YOU HADN’T COOPERATED.”
Alice groaned and curled herself into a tighter ball.
*********
“Hello, Kokonilly,†Hypatia said, making that the third time. Then turning to everyone, she asked, “Um, are we going or not?†Hypatia was not in the mood to be patient.
Dr. Canix’s [look, it’s tidier, it doesn’t really matter, I’ll bet nobody knows who it said before, and I’m kinda tired of doing nothing but changing pronouns] phone beeped. He flipped it open, and his expression changed to one of horror. “Look at this video. They’ve got Alice.â€â€¨
Canix took a deep breath, his mind racing. Some of these people were Alice’s good friends. They’d try to make the group surrender, and he couldn’t allow that. The cause of the Resistance was greater than the life of a single person.
But would it be necessary to leave her to her fate?….
An idea hit him like a thunderbolt.
He turned to the surrounding company and indicated the caged hybrid. “Two words: hostage exchange.â€
……….
Groundhog nodded as TMFA announced that the lab was moving, and began to pack up her things. While the moving process was fairly calm, there was some jostling invloved and she didn’t want any of her equipment to get damaged. Then she grabbed hold of one of the bunny’s arms and helped place it gently into a porta-cage that was standing nearby.
The mention of a hostage exchange made her stare at Dr. Canix. “Um, I hate to be a wet blanket, but are the bunnies going to go for an exchange? They have millions of bunnified slaves, is one bunny, even a hybrid one, going to matter to them? And if we give this bunny back, then we’ll never get to discover its secrets.â€
……..
Seeing Alice on the verge of bunnification was very disconcerting for Hypatia, to say the least. Actually, it was downright unbearable. She did think Canix’s idea of a hostage exchange sounded like a good one, but that was assuming was possible to conduct an exchange with a bunch of loony hot-pink serial killers, which seemed unlikely.
“You’re right,” said IBCF, making Hypatia wonder if he was telepathic. “But there’s really nothing else we can do. We’ll have to try it.â€

”WE ARE AWAITING YOUR ANSWER, HUMANS,” said the bunny.”SURRENDER, OR WE WILL TORTURE AND BUNNIFY THE HOSTAGE.”
Groundhog sighed. “This is definitely our only chance to save Alice.†she said. “I just wish I could analyze…Wait a minute!†she exclaimed. “That’s it! If we make the bunnies think that we can unlock all of their secrets by analyzing this bunny, then they will agree to an exchange!â€â€¨
TGYPWYA appeared suddenly, not surprising anyone, for everybody was worrying. “I think Groundhog is right… But it all depends on how much they know can truly be unlocked from the bunny,†he said. “It’s risky, but our only chance.â€
“For Koko’s sake, TGYPWYA, where did you come from?” asked Turquoise, who appeared to be the only one thinking straight.
“I– never mind. We’ve got more important stuff to deal with right now.”
********
Alice sat painfully on the grass, watching the bunnies in terror. She could easily get away, if it wasn’t for the ten or twenty bunnies that were watching her instead of their commander William or the camera. Please, she thought silently, let them do something wise. Preferably that involves rescuing me. In theory, it was all very well to be a martyr to the cause, but in reality, Alice wanted nothing to do with martyrdom.
……….
” FOOLISH HUMANS.” laughed the large bunny to what seemed to be his second-in-command. “SO THEY WANT A HOSTAGE EXCHANGE, DO THEY? THIS COULD WORK TO OUR ADVANTAGE…” He turned to the camera. “WE WILL EXCHANGE THE HUMAN FOR THE DRAGON BUNNY, BUT ONLY ON TWO CONDITIONS: YOU MUST NOT RUN ANY EXPERIMENTS ON THE BUNNY, AND THEY MUST BE EXCHANGED AT THE SAME TIME. YOU MAY TAKE AS MANY WEAPONS AND GUARDS WITH YOU AS YOU WANT, WE PLAN NO TRICKS.”
*******
Groundhog rolled her eyes. “Sure, they plan no tricks.†she muttered, so as not to let the mike pick up her voice and transmit it to the bunnies. “If they plan no tricks, then why are they letting us come with weapons and guards? Why aren’t they demanding anything else? Why are they making it so easy for us?â€
Then it hit her. Hypnosis. Something that the bunnies rarely used nowadays, but did all the time when they were starting out. She remembered cases of bunny hypnosis from my days working at the asylum. The victim would be outwardly unaffected, but there would be bunny dogma planted in their subconscious, making him or her into a willing spy for the bunnies, transmitting information back to them through the mind link created between the victim and the bunny that hypnotized it. They were planning on hypnotizing Alice, and then giving her back so that she could spy on us for them.
“Canix?†Groundhog called softly and urgently, still being careful not to let her voice get picked up by the microphone, and picked up a test tube, as if to show it to him. “I think the bunnies might be planning on hypnotizing Alice before they give her back to us, so they can spy on us through her.†She made motions at the test tube, to keep up the illusion. Dang it, this was hard, saying one thing with her mouth and another with her body…. “So when we get her back, we’ll need to make sure she doesn’t see anything important until the former asylum staff and I can have a look at her. Whatever you have to do, do it, as long as it keeps her from seeing anything important.†Groundhog paused as another thought her. “And we should probably move all of our hideouts too, if that hasn’t been done already. If they do hypnotize her, then they’ll get the current locations of where everything is from her memories.â€
*******
William made some movement with his armored ears, and said something Alice couldn’t hear. It apparently had something to do wit her. though,as the bunnies immediately closed in around her. She had a suddenly clear image of what they were going to do to her…what they had done to so many people…and she closed her eyes, but another spear jabbed her, and they were forced open with surprise and pain. The bunnies were close now, so close… Why couldn’t I have got to the base before this happened? Alice thought. Why don’t I have all the equipment…?
The eyes were swirling and multicolored. They sucked her in, and she could not look away. “Help!†Alice cried, and that was all she knew before the whirling depths sucked her in.
……….
“YOU WILL SPY FOR US, HUMAN, AND YOU WILL TELL US EVERYTHING YOU KNOW. EVERYTHING.” ordered William. Then he turned to the camera. “WE ARE READY TO EXCHANGE THE HOSTAGES, HUMANS. BRING THE DRAGON BUNNY QUICKLY, BEFORE WE CHANGE OUR MINDS.”
……..
Alice heard herself, from a long way off, say heavily, “Yes, master.†Then she woke completely.

*******
Dr. Canix stared at Groundhog for a moment, then “replied†loudly, “I see. The chemical mixture you proposed is an interesting possibility.†(Here he made an emphatic movement with his hands, away from the camera.) “I think your plan should be implemented. I’ll give you full authority in this measure. But remember not to add the quinine until it’s fully at a boil. We can’t allow anything to jeopardize this experiment. Our spare lab should serve the purpose well, although there’s a bit too much resistance in the high-voltage circuits. Carry on.”
Groundhog was slightly confused at the beginning of Dr. Canix’s reply, but she caught on quickly. “Okay,†she replied. “It’ll be ready in a few days then. I can’t do all of this myself though, I’ll need someone else to prepare the quinine. It needs to be ready at an exact time. I can do all of the rest of the preparations myself. I have all of my precautionary measures set up, except for the blast hood. I should really do a checkup on that burner though. The last thing we’d want is to get Alice back, only to give ourselves more troubles with a gas leak. But you need to get going, don’t you? I’ll find someone else to do the rest of this with me.â€
The bunnies, apparently fed up with all this technical talk, hung up. Everyone high-fived each other, forgetting their dignity for a minute.
“I’ll join TMFA and help,” suggested TGYPWYA [Koko, we need a shorter name for you, TGYPWYA]. “This is going nowhere pretty, but the time has come to abandon caution and do what we must. In other words, count me in.â€â€¨
“Yeah,†Hypatia grumbled, “I guess I’ll help too, but only so nobody pesters my about my indolence…and out of sympathy for Alice, which doesn’t make much sense, but I’m not in the mood to, so deal with it!†Hypatia was grouchy. Failed offensives tended to do that to her.
……….
Now that the camera was turned off, Groundhog could speak freely to TMFA, TGYPWYA, and Hypatia. “Okay, what needs to be done in terms of making sure that any of the information the bunnies may get out of Alice is obsolete is this: All of our hideouts need to be moved. This lab is already on the move, so it won’t need to be moved again at this time, but all the others will. Secondly, we’ll need to recode our transmission channel. I can work on that right now with anyone else who can write codes, but when they bring back Alice, I’ll need to leave that completely to someone else. Can you three do that?†she rattled off. “I know it doesn’t involve anything heroic, but I doubt that it’s a good idea to send everyone to retreieve Alice, and this stuff does need to get done.â€
She then turned towards Dr. Canix. [cake, this is getting really annoying, having to erase ‘POSOC’ every time……]“I’ll do the psychological exam in a room in here, so you’ll know where to bring Alice. The rest of the hideouts are going to get moved as soon as possible, and we’re taking the secure transmission channel offline for a couple hours to recode it, so we won’t be able to communicate freely for that time. Oh, and I have a surprise for you and everyone else who’s going up to get Alice back.†She opened a closet near her desk to reveal a rack of sleek black jumpsuits and helmets. “The Bunnyproof Suit, Mark III. I wasn’t going to give them out yet, because the new depigmentizer formula I was planning on putting in the dart guns to get those dart-resistant bunnies isn’t quite done yet. But they are loaded with regular depigmentizer darts, and they have a bunch of other new improvements.â€
Groundhog pulled out a suit which had little windows cut into it to show the suit’s various layers. “It has a fireproof layer right beneath the surface, as well as the standard titanium mesh. It also has a cooling system, since all these layers could get hot after a while. The helmet is coated in teflon, and the visor has a mirrored layer that will not only deflect any hypnosis or zombification attempts like the old one, but will actually make it rebound upon the bunny that attempted to do it. It’s got a built-in bulletproof vest, and the outer layer has a limited auto-repair system, meaning that it can reweave minor rips and slashes by itself. And best of all, this one isn’t so bulky, unlike the old ‘spacesuit’ versions. Hopefully this mission will be fairly straightforward, but all of us know that nothing is ever so simple with bunnies, so I thought that you should get them now, despite the fact that the depigmentizer isn’t quite done yet.†She made a theatrical gesture towards the closet.

“I’ll go with Canix, just in case.†suggested IBCF.

“I’ll do the codes,†Hypatia volunteered. “Poor Alice, not really the welcome a returning warrior deserves, but what can one do?†The last part was more to herself than anyone else in particular.
After a moment’s pause, Hypatia made her way into the code room.
……..
Hypatia sat down in the code room on an uncannily uncomfortable chair. The wood bore into her shoulders, but she refrained from grumbling (out loud, at least), figuring that she had done quite enough of that for the day. Looking over the messages, she considered using a cypher, but settled into the simpler and infinitely harder to comprehend Ble!
Within minutes,

((And now, I do believe I will get to work on the bunny spaceship scene. I can do the scenes after this one if nobody else wants to, but I’m feeling a bit fed up right now with apparently being the only person doing anything. I know, you’re all working on stuff, you just haven’t posted it yet…. I’m sorry. But seriously, if nobody else has posted anything by the time I post the third part, I’m not gonna do any more until someone else does. I’ll keep editing, but not posting. Okay?))
((I handed what I have to my sister, and she’s editing my edit. All edits will be contributed to by Gywn the Bando. I’m starting with Alice’s comment on Part Two. Will be typed later.))
30- PP means powerplay.
((32-Right. Thanks.))
((What, dead thread already? Come on, people, edit!))
((34: I’ve finished some edit, but I need to get it typed…. *sigh* *looks in RU binder* *gasp* Oh no! I left it in my locker! How did that happen???))
((35-ZINC!!!!! How could you leave such an important document in your LOCKER?????
So, I’m hoping you’ll post what you’ve done in the next few days….. I just hope it doesn’t make me feel to ashamed about what I wrote…))
((36: My sister edited it. So she edited my edit and I edited hers. Hehe, that makes no sense whatsoever. But WHO CARES? But I felt a little ashamed after my loverly 14 year old sister handed me her edit. So don’t worry about it.))
((I’m trying to make a sensible movie out of this, but I don’t know where to start. Can anyone refer me to a good point?
I don’t know how to make sense of it, either. ))
((38-We-ell….I think if you’re trying to make a sensible movie, you picked the wrong story. But, a good starting point…. You could probably pick any starting point you wanted, and it wouldn’t be that much more confusing than if you’d picked a ‘good’ point, but, let’s see. I think the beginning is probably the only place to start that would really make sense, but you could edit out some of the subplots if you needed to shorten the movie….
By the way, what are you using to make the movie? Animation? Some computer-gimmick that makes a realistic movie without you having to film it? What?))

((41-But what does a finished product of MovieMaker or iMovie look like? I have no experience with either….))
((Whoa, I was typing this- “I don’t think we can reverse it.” and looking at IBCF’s line- “Get Kokonilly to the infirmary, or whatever it’s called!” And I accidentally typed this- “I don’t think we can get Kokonilly to the infirmary.” Hee. ))
((Here’s part of what I’ve edited.))
Far above the base, a young, black-clad girl blinked and shook her head. She glanced around, taking in her surroundings with some surprise. She was in a boat, surrounded by calm seas. She looked down at herself and frowned. “That’s weird,†she remarked to herself. “What happened?†She fingered the sole spot of color on her jacket- a hot-pink rabbit motif. She racked her brains for any memory, any clue as to how she had gotten here. She dimly remembered chaos in a tunnel; whirling multi-colored eyes staring into her own; a time of terror, crouched in the bushes holding a bow. But these memories slipped away even as she groped for them.
She walked to the stern of the boat and gazed out at the empty water. She looked down to see a rippling reflection looking back; brown hair loose around its shoulders, confused blue eyes, a turned-up nose. She took off the tight black cap on her head and shook out her hair in the faint breeze, peering inside the hat for a name, anything at all. She removed her jacket and found she was dressed in and equally black long-sleeved shirt. “Geez,†she muttered. “Gloomy, aren’t I?â€
******************************************************
“OK, I’ll TRY not to kill myself…†ZVX quickly typed a search into the keyboard: “BunnyInfo.comâ€. He clicked on a result. ZVX then scrolled through it until he found an archive labeled: “Non-Direct Hypnosis- A guide to prevention.†He groaned. If it said prevention, then it was probably permanent. It read:
“Non-Direct Hypnosis is a particularly painful process, which can only be performed by a black bunny. It is a deadly process, in which the victim is caught in a hypnotic gaze and forced into a small space, while holding the hypnosis. The small space is generally a dark box, case, or trunk, but other things have been recorded as being used. In this case, the victim is forced to forget everything involving the hypnotizing, but remain with memories of the rest that happened. More detailed descriptions can be found below.â€
He didn’t need to look below. This told him everything he needed. “Everyone come over here! This is important!â€
“What? What?†Bookworm said as he hurried over to him. ZVX pointed out the article, his shoulders tensing. And as Kittymine came too, he sent up the most fervent prayer that they could prove the statistics wrong. They needed her; they needed every person they could get.
“Non-Direct Hypnosis?! @#$!†Bookworm said after reading the article.
“I’m Earthgirl! I was stationed in Europe and just finished modifying the bases there when I was attacked at Switzerland, so I came over here as fast as I could!†Earthgirl said loudly for the benefit of the room at large, though no one seemed to be paying attention to her. She glanced around the lab, and all of the mess and confusion that went with it. So, what do I do now that I’m with the others? Earthgirl thought. She wandered over to where three people were huddled around a high tech computer. As Earthgirl silently came up to them, she heard their low, vehement, hurried conversation.
Kittymine peered over ZVX’s shoulder to look at the paragraphs explaining Non-Direct Hypnosis- anything with hypnosis interested her. “What does it mean, ‘Non-Direct is deadly’? Is that only if the person isn’t found? Or is it…†Kitty couldn’t go on. She felt tears coming on- it was just so frustrating! How could hypnosis be altered this way? Turning away from the screen, she sat down at the next computer and ran a systems check. She then decided to view the camera feed from outside HQ. It was lucky she did. As she looked from the overhead camera, she noticed a large dark shape partially obscuring the view. It appeared to be curved and floating on the top of the water, which could only mean…
“Uh, guys? I think there is a boat above our heads.†IBCF looked up and said, in a confused voice, “A boat? What?â€
Meanwhile, another conversation was still going on.
“Kokonilly dying? Just after she came back? Really?†Bookworm said, his throat beginning to constrict. Kokonilly had been one of his teachers, before she went missing. Now that she was back, she was dying. He desperately hoped it could be reversed…
He stumbled across the lab to the make shift bed where Nilly was lying in her fitful sleep. Bookworm slowly sat down on a nearby stool and put his head in his hands. It was then he finally began to cry.
Nilly dimly heard Bookworm crying. She struggled out of her slumber and saw him sitting near her. “What happened? Is something wrong?†She said, confused and concerned. He took one look at her and burst into tears. “You’re… you’re…†He choked back more tears before answering. “You’re dying. The black bunny used a nasty and deadly kind of hypnotism on you. I don’t think we can reverse it.†After that small calm period, he began to sob again.
Kokonilly tried not to completely an utterly freak out and have a nervous breakdown. All she could say was: “So that’s why I had that weird dream about the black bunny.â€
Then: “Don’t cry. It’s fine. I’ll be all right. Shh…â€
Bookworm kept sobbing. Nilly gave up, and turned to Groundhog and said, “There’s a cure?†She tried not to get her hopes up.
Bookworm sniffled, took his head from his hands, and said half heartedly, “A cure?â€
44-Wow. That’s really good, Zinc! But, wait, what part of the story is that from?…..
*sigh* SOMEONE HELP ME WITH THIS!!!! THIS THREAD IS DYYYYING!!! Actually, it’s dead…..
Could I join BA:TNG? I’ve made up a backstory for my character, but I just don’t know if it’s a good time to join. Is everyone in the middle of a battle or something?
((*sigh* I WOULD do some editing, but I never have enough time on the computer, and I use all of it on MB! Is there ANYONE who cares about BA anymore????? *groan*))
(( Looks like this is going to be a solo project for me…. *sigh* I don’t really mind, I guess. It’s actually really fun.))
Pulling on the suit, TGYPWYA muttered to himself, “Oh Koko, what have we gotten ourselves into?†Ready for the mission ahead of everyone, he then turned to Groundhog and said, “Okay, I’m ready for anything– Where to?â€
“You and TMFA need to go to all of the hideouts and move them.” said groundhog. “They’re located at Barrow, Aleutia, Vancouver Island, Sierra, Canon Grande, Salt Lake, Denver Citadel, Wyoming, Toronto, Everglade Remnant, Newfoundland, Baffin, Canalia, Amazonia, Tierra del Fuego, Galapagos Outpost, Scotland, Switzerland, Sicily, Crimea, Sahara Oases, Congo, Sri Lanka, Tibet, Sinkiang, Borneo, Celebes, Timor, Onslow-Roebourne, Taiwan, Korea-Kyushu, New Britain and Okhotsk. They’re hidden beneath various cities, which are hinted to in their names. Here’s a map of how to get to all of them through the tunnel system. Make sure to update it when you move the hideouts. They don’t need to be moved far, just enough that the info that the bunnies could get out of Alice will be totally useless. The Man For Aeiou’s already rushed off, so you’ll have to go alone. Good thing both of you took one of the new suits. Your phones won’t be working for the next hour or so while Hypatia and I recode the secure channel, but when we’re done we’ll send everyone a message, so once you get the message, you should call him.†She handed TGYPWYA a miniscreen which had the map on it. “Oh, and good luck.â€â€¨Now that that was taken care of, groundhog joined Hypatia in the coding/hardware room. She looked over Hypatia’s shoulder, and discovered that she had already devised a new code, which appeared to be one of the shorter dialects of Ble. “Wow.†She exclaimed. “You’re good. Okay, so now all we need is to convert it to binary and send it to everyone’s phones. Could you enter your algorithms into the computer?â€
…………
It occurred to groundhog that if Alice was going to be out of commission for a while while recovering from her ordeal, they were going to need a few more people in the base. She pulled out her second phone, which could be more accurately described as a walkie-talkie, since it only communicated with one other phone, and turned it on. Please pick up, please pick up, she thought desperately. Luckily, they did. “Hello, Kitty?†groundhog said into the phone. “I need you pronto. Use the GPS to find me.†She hung up.
Seconds later, a bespectacled girl fizzled into being next to groundhog. “Kitty!†groundhog exclaimed, giving her sister, Kittymine, a hug. “Been avoiding the bunnies all right? Anyway, I’m glad you could come. One of our people just got captured by the bunnies, and we were short before that. We need your talents desperately. Will you join us?â€
“Of course I’ll join you! If you’re looking for talents, you’ve come to the right person. Now what can I do for you?â€
*******
TMFA ran through the streets of Salt Lake and dashed into a old hotel.”Cakeitcakeitcakeit…… The bunnies are here!â€â€¨He pulled a radio out from his belt and dialed Groundhog.
“Groundhog, we have a problem. Salt Lake has been lost.â€
******
Hypatia started entering the algorithms in the computer. It was remarkably easy and for perhaps the 500th time she silently thanked Nak for inventing Ble. Hypatia could hear Groundhog talking and hanging up the phone, she felt someone appear near her but continued to work, semi-feverishly. She knew that her procrastination insinct was soon to kick in and she wanted to get as much done as possible before this happened. The messages were almost coded, the prgram devised, it remained only to re-activate the system, but Hypatia didn’t have the authority for that.
“Groundhog or Canix,†she yelled, “Can one of you start up the lines again, they’re secure, or at least I think so.â€
******
“Okay, I’ve got Toronto moved, I’m heading to Newfoundland now.†TGYPWYA saw some pink movement off in the distance, heading the same direction as him– toward Newfoundland. He couldn’t see what it was exactly, but he knew what it was. TGYPWYA wanted to turn back and avoid them, but if they knew where the Resistance’s enclave was, well, one more reason for him to get there. “I sure hope things are going good for TMFA, ’cause things here are might get ugly,†TGYPWYA murmured.
*******
IBCF, pushing the cage containing the hybrid bunny down the tunnel towards the outside– and the bunnies— was joined by Kittymine and Turquoise. “Thanks, guys. I need all the help I can get.â€
The three arrived at the tunnel entrance all too soon. IBCF smiled cheerfully at the bunny leader William, trying to appear nonchalant. “Okay, William! We’ve got your pink little terror here in this cage. And take that as a compliment; he’d fry us all if he got loose. Nasty little thing, isn’t he? And now, ah, er, the hostage?â€â€¨
William smiled. It was not a pleasant smile. “HERE IS YOUR HOSTAGE, HUMAN. ” He pushed Alice, who appeared to be dazed, in the direction of the Resisters.
“Thanks, Will.” IBCF smiled weakly. “I guess we’ll just be…on our way, now…â€

” AS I TOLD YOU, NO TRICKS.” William grinned evilly. If IBCF had had any doubts that Alice had been hypnotized, they vanished now. But of course he couldn’t let William know that.
“Yup, looks like no tricks. Guess we were wrong about you; thought you’d have something up your armored sleeve. Well, see you around, Will.†IBCF started walking away. Kittymine and Turquoise followed.

………
The smaller bunny who appeared to be William’s second-in-command looked to his leader pleadingly. “We cannot let them get away with such impudence! Stupid bipeds, thinking they can be smart with us…..â€â€¨
” PATIENCE. THEY WILL ALL PAY, SOON,” said William.

“But they’re onto us! They’ll move their bases! The human will be useless as a spy!â€â€¨
” WE HAVE NO NEED OF HER; SHE IS NOTHING MORE THAN A DIVERSION. THE REAL SPY IS FOLLOWING THE HUMANS BACK TO THEIR RAT-HOLE RIGHT NOW.”

The smaller bunny looked slightly confused. “Why don’t we send the whole army after them, then? They’re vulnerable.†

“THE HUMANS ARE NOT STUPID.” William rolled his eyes. “THEY OBVIOUSLY HAVE A WAY TO BLOCK THE ENTRANCE. ONLY OUR SPY HAS A CHANCE OF GETTING THROUGH.”

The smaller bunny still looked confused, but apparently decided to give up. Too much confusion was not a good thing in the bunny army. “Commander, you are truly brilliant.” Lay on the praise, that was the safe thing to do.

“THAT’S WHY I’M THE LEADER” William pointed out, and grinned evilly again.
*******
IBCF, Kittymine, and Turquoise relaxed somewhat once they were safely into the tunnel. “Phew, glad that’s over,” Kittymine whispered.” That Willam is NASTY- and he should really do something about that garlic breath.†You needed a few jokes, at a time like this.
Kittymine raised her voice to the normal level. “Glad to have you back, Alice!â€
IBCF looked around nervously. “Have you ever had the feeling that you were being watched?†he whispered.
Kittymine looked around too. “Yes… but I don’t see anybunny or anyone except us- besides, the bunnies are hot pink.â€
In the shadows, something sniggered quietly to itself and followed the group down the tunnel.
*******
Groundhog turned and reactivated the phone system, sending a message to everyone that their phones had been recoded. As soon as her phone rebooted, it started ringing.
It was TMFA, calling to tell her that Salt Lake had been lost. Darn those stupid bunnies to heck. groundhog thought.
“Okay, I guess we’ll have to do without Salt Lake.†she replied to him. “I just feel bad for everyone who was in there. I’ve got to go now. See you very soon, I hope.â€
“Yeah, I’ll be back to the Base as soon as I can.”
“Good,” said groundhog, and hung up.
**********
As the group walked down a tunnel, feeling uneasy, a figure slipped out of the shadows and said, “Oh, hello.”
Everyone jumped about a foot in the air. IBCF whirled around, and relaxed. “Oh, it’s only you. Nice to see you, ZVX.”

ZVX surveyed the group. “Good, we got Alice, but IBCF, I’m also getting the feeling that someone’s trailing us…someone that shouldn’t be here.â€
“I do too,” said Turquoise. “I can’t see anything…do we have sensors?”
“No-oo….”
“Ah, you know, it’s probably nothing. Never mind.â€
*******
AvalonGirl woke with a start, and immediately noticed BUNNIES. EVERYWHERE.
Trying to grab her blaster, she realized…she couldn’t. She was tied up.
Fighting the urge to scream, she hissed into her radio, while mentally thanking Koko for groundhog’s insistence that all Resisters carry a radio. “Kittymine! I’ve been captured by the bunnies…In hostage holding room! HEL-GGZZHHhh….â€

As the radio fell to the floor, the largest bunny had a grin on its face.
“Now she cannot tell where she is! Move her to the hostage holding cell!â€
********
TGYPWYA sprinted through the woods as trees exploded around him. The survivors ran alongside him- the ambush had taken even TGYPWYA by surprise. There was no way they got there before he, yet he had arrived during a full-scale battle. He knew something was different… but what?
Then it hit him. TGYPWYA tore out his radio and sent a message to anyone who could receive it. He didn’t think he could get out of this one, he had to tell the others while he could.

-The following is a transmission sent from The Guy Your Parents Warned You About to the other Resisters as recieved by the latter-

“Newfoundland under attack *static* like nothing I’ve *static* seen before the hybrid *static* the worst *static* not all pink be wary of your *static* William is trying to *static* us don’t let it work!”
*******
IBCF pushed a button on the tunnel wall, and watched as the tunnel behind the group collapsed. “Well, that should stop anyone following us. But, look, I have a feeling that someone needs help. You two take Alice back, and tell them that we need reinforcements. I’m taking a detour.†He sprinted off through another tunnel.
The thing in the shadows watched, and grinned.
TGYPWYA woke up with a start. His mind was all but blank, but he tried to remember what had happened. He remembered watching human after human fall to the bunny attacks, then a tree had fallen into the survivors’ path. They had turned to face the bunnies, and that’s where TGYPWYA’s memory stopped. He could remember no more.
He had no idea where he was now– he couldn’t see anything.

Then he realized that was because his eyes were closed.

He opened them, and still had no idea where he was. But he recognized someone.

“Hi AvalonGirl,†TGYPWYA said cheerfully. “Where are we?â€
AvalonGirl looked back at TGYPWYA and blinked. “Um… TGYPWYA… I don’t know. I was knocked out before I could hear where they were taking me…when I was in the hostage holding room. That was when they broke my radio. Regardless, all the other Resisters are going to head for the hostage holding room. So we’re stuck– oh, did I mention that, if injected into you, bunny venom can be an sedative? I don’t know if it’s coma-causing, or whatever…but don’t let them bite you! Every time they bite you, the sedative period becomes longer…I think it could cause an coma if they bite you too many times and– MMPFFF!â€â€¨
The bunny who had just gagged AvalonGirl grinned and moved over to TGYPWYA. It called to the rest of the bunny guards, “Tie them up! No more secrets will be revealed!”
As AvalonGirl struggled, she heard something a bunny said.

“Soon, we shall have information on the whereabouts of the hypnotized spy…and the REAL spy also!â€

Real spy? The hypnotized spy must be Alice…but then, who’s the real spy?

AvalonGirl didn’t have time to wonder, though.

“Take them to the hypnotizing room!†The bunny smiled, showing sharp hot pink teeth. Oh, cake, thought AvalonGirl.
Only one thing the bunny said seemed to make sense to TGYPWYA.
“Hypnotizing room? Aw, crap,†he thought out loud. However, he was gagged, so it came out as “Mmhm rmm? M mm.â€â€¨
As the bunnies started to drag the two off, TGYPWYA kicked at one with all his might. Even though his legs were tied together it worked.
When the bunny rose again, it looked at him with its teeth bared. “M mm,†TGYPWYA repeated, before the venom started to work.
*******
TMFA moved through Denver quietly. The main attacks on the bunnies had been here, but there was only the Resistance now. The bunnies had taken out all the unprotected humans in the city.
He stepped into the convention center, and up to the stage, standing where Obama stood a few months before the bunny takeover. Not now, though. The entire city had been abandoned, except for–
TMFA moved a few blocks around in the floor, and a passage opened. He quickly ran down the tunnel, and found signs of life within a few minutes. This was the Resistance’s base in Denver. He looked around, and ran towards the commander of the Denver Resistance.
“The bunnies are here. You have to move.â€
The commander nodded. “Yes, I think we do. Portland, OR’s been lost too, you should know. I’ll get everyone out of here, you call your leader or whatever.”
“Okay. Thanks for the info.” TMFA turned back around and ran for the outside.
But what to do now? He should probably get out of here now, but if he could still help–
TMFA shrugged, and called Dr. Canix.

*******
The tunnel IBCF was following gradually narrowed until he had to crawl on all fours. IBCF squeezed through an opening and found himself in the bunny detention chamber. He did not see AvalonGirl or TGYPWYA anywhere, the chamber was empty. However, he heard voices from down the hall. IBCF tip-toed over to investigate.

********
Groundhog received all of the messages calmly, but inside she was breaking. She hadn’t gotten a message, good or bad, from Kitty. What if the bunnies had gotten her during the hostage exchange? Groundhog would never be able to forgive herself if Kittymine was bunnified. The rest of groundhog’ family had gone into hiding long ago, and had cut off any connections with her, for safety reasons, since groundhog was a prime member of the Resistance. She didn’t know whether they were still safe or whether the bunnies had gotten them. Only Kittymine had kept up contact with her, and groundhog had repaid her kindness by dragging her into this mess….
Groundhog buried her face in her hands for a few moments, trying to compose herself. Then she set about doing something about the recent developments.
“Canix?†she called. “We need to meet with General Valentine, and fast. Half of our strongholds have been taken by the bunnies within the last few hours, and we need to decide on some course of action. The safest thing to do in terms of human lives would be to withdraw to hideouts which we know are safe, but that’s not the greatest thing to do strategically, we need as many hideouts as we can get.â€
*****
“Hey, Turqouise!†Hypatia called. “Do you think we can revive Alice with some of the First Aid stuff? I don’t know how much longer we can carry her. Its a while to the central cavern.â€
Turquoise shrugged. “We can try. What’s in there?”
Kittymine shifted her grip on Alice as she turned to Hypatia, “Maybe we could revive her, but there is a small hole in that idea- what in the first aid kit can revive someone? Anyway, if we could just hold on for a bit longer, we’ll get to HQ and then Groundhog and Canix can check her out. We’re almost there.â€â€¨
The thing in the shadows, still following, smiled appreciatively at the information.
*********
“TGYPWYA!!†AvalonGirl screamed, but her voice was muffled. Suddenly, she heard a bump against the wall to her left.
Huh? A rescue?

 She had no time to wonder, though, as she and TGYPWYA were roughly dragged down the hall. AvalonGirl kicked the wall with her feet, hoping whoever it was would get to them before it was too late.
********
IBCF, looking around the bunny base and trying to avoid notice, heard a loud thump from the left wall. He searched around, trying to find what room it came from, and noticed a doorway that led to a dark room. He walked over and peered inside.
“Hey, bunnies!†He fired his blaster at the bunnies, and as the bunnies screamed, he noticed AvalonGirl and TGYPWYA tied up on the floor.
TGYPWYA saw IBCF appear, and ducked as a blaster shot narrowly missed him. However, some bunnies got hit too, and at least he and AvalonGirl were being rescued. He attacked the bunnies as well as he could.
TGYPWYA saw AvalonGirl struggling too, and IBCF ran over to them, still firing away.
“Sorry about that, TGYPWYA. Quick, we’ve got to get out of here. Follow me.â€
******
“All right,†Dr.Canix replied to Groundhog, “we do need some sort of strategy.â€
Inwardly, his mind was racing. The Marianas Trench base. It would have to be. But would Valentine approve? Of course- this certainly qualified as the “critical emergency†cited in the retreat clause.

“There’s nothing for it,†Canix said. “We’ll have to head for the Trench.â€
His radio beeped. He pulled it out.
“Yes? Oh, hello, TMFA. We’re heading for Marianas Trench. Valentine’s just given approval. The BEACON escort fighters will make sure that we’re unopposed until we can reach the coast. After that, it won’t matter- William’s never been able to bring any Bunnius aquaticus over to his side, and the other breeds hate water. Look, get back here as soon as you can, or else meet us at the Trench.â€

Kittymine, Turquoise, ZVX, and Hypatia continued walking along the tunnel. Kittymine looked around nervously, still feeling watched.
Suddenly she remembered that Groundhog hadn’t heard from her, and possibly thought she was captured or something. Kittymine pulled out her walkie takie and sent a message to Groundhog.

“Groundhog, this is Kitty. Hypatia, Turquoise, and I are carrying Alice. ZVX is here too. But there is a catch- we feel like we’re being watched. IBCF went off on a side tunnel, I don’t know where he is at this point. We are almost to HQ. Please contact me, and tell me what is going on once we get there.â€
*******
Groundhog’s walkie talkie crackled to life yet again. Expecting more bad news, she braced myself. However, groundhog was pleasantly surprised to hear her sister’s voice emanating from the tiny speaker.
“Kitty!†she exclaimed. “You’re all right! Oh, and don’t say anything important in front of Alice, she might be hypnotized, remember? Anyway, thube hubeadquubartubers ubis bubeubing muboved tubo thube Trubench.†groundhog said to her, thankful that at least the two sisters had an alternative to Ble, which Alice understood, making it useless if trying to keep something from her. “Ubit’s nubot ubimmubedubiubate, subo yubou shubould bube ubabuble tubo gubet buback bubefubore wube mubove. Subee yubou suboon, uboh kubay?â€
*******
As IBCF, TGYPWYA, and AvalonGirl walked through the bunny base, feeling on edge, an alarm sounded.
“Run!†yelled IBCF.
Everyone ran.
When they came to the tunnel, IBCF squeezed through the narrow opening and helped TGYPWYA and AvalonGirl get through. Then he took off running again, hoping that the two others were following.
******
Kittymine’s walkie talkie crackled again- it was Groundhog confirming her message. Though slightly abashed for forgetting about Alice’s potential danger, Kittymine was glad to hear from her sister. She replied, “Shuber! Ubalsubo, dubo yubou hubav ubanuby ubidubeas ubabubout hubow tubo subee ubif ubanubywubun ubis fubollubowubing ubus?â€
………..
ZVX was also making a call, this time to IBCF. “IBCF, have you discovered anything new? We’re still in here. We’ve got Alice. Suspect she’s hypnotized, but not sure…â€
His walkie talkie crackled off, “Dang it,†ZVX muttered through clenched teeth. “Stuck in a tunnel and can’t even see the moon, for Koko’s sake!â€

He called groundhog. “Groundhog, we have a problem. We’re being trailed. I’m sure of it.â€
……………
“Truby shubinubing uba flubashlubight ubarubound,” Groundhog replied to Kittymine. “Ubevuben ubif whubatubevuber’s fubollubowubing yubou rubuns ubawubay, ubif yubou kubeep thube lubight ubon, ubit wubon’t bube ubabuble tubo fubollubow yubou cluboseluby, uband thuben yubou cuban gubet thrubough thube duboors uband subeal thubem bubehubind yuboou, uband lubeave ubit bubehubind.â€
Groundhog had to sign off there, because there was yet another message coming in. ZVX was reporting some unknown being around as well. This seemed like a bit more than a coincidence.
“Turn on a flashlight,and keep shining it around you.†she told ZVX. “If it runs away, then it can’t follow you too closely and you’ll be able to get it off of your tail. If it doesn’t, then at least we’ll know what it is. Oh, and get back to HQ as fast as possible, if you can. There’s something important everyone needs to be there for.â€
“Okay, Groundhog. Thanks.”
********
Hypatia, kneeling next to Alice, looked up. “Look, you guys, I think we need to revive Alice. I don’t have a good feeling about this thing that’s supposedly following us, and it would be horrible if we got into a fight with Alice still unconscious. There’s a little of H&H tea left over from our last visit, it would probably make a good elixir. Should I try it?â€
“I suppose so, Hypatia, unless anyone’s first aid kit contains smelling salts,” Kittymine said.
“Oh, yeah…. Right. I know they’re somewhere here,†Hypatia muttered, plunging her hand into the infimitessally large black hole that might more appropriately be described as her pant pocket. Hypatia managed to extract a tiny quantity of said salts. “Here we go,†she said, “You’re right, this will probably work better than tea. You do the honors,†Hypatia added, gesturing to Kittymine to take them.
“Hang on a sec,” Kittymine said suddenly. “Before I revive Alice, I have a question. If reviving her will allow her to respond and take note of her surroundings, won’t that be a problem? She might be a hypnotized spy! Would we have to blindfold her?â€
“Oh yeah. Good point. I guess we’re better off carrying her. Still, we all know Alice has walked this tunnel thousands of times before and the bunnies have already retrieved all of her memories so it won’t do any harm. We’ll have to revive her evenutally, after all,†Hypatia said. “I don’t really know.â€
“Very well then,†Kittymine replied. She took the salts from Hypatia and had the others help her lay Alice on the floor. Kitty crouched down next to her and held the salts to her nose.
After a minute or two, Alice muttered and her eyes opened. She gazed up at the group and muttered something that Kittymine didn’t catch. But Kitty noticed that her eyes grew wide with what seemed to be fear of something she could see. Obviously on the ceiling, since she was on the ground. Kittymine turned to look up.
Hypatia noticed Kittymine looking up towards the ceiling. Instinctively, she craned her neck to see what had attracted Kitty’s attention.
……….
The thing in the shadows streaked away, muttering to itself. These humans were getting too perceptive for their own good.
……….
There was nothing there. Whatever had been frightening Alice had either run or was a figment of her imagination.
Groundhog’s message crackled through Kittymine’s walkie talkie. She slapped herself on the forehead. Duh! Of course! Using a flashlight is such an obvious solution. Why didn’t I think of that?
Kitty reached into her pocket, pulling out a slim, largebeam flashlight. She clicked it on and beamed it about. Keeping the beam trained to 5 feet behind us, she told the others, “I’ll go in back and keep this pointed behind us. Oh, and could you help Alice up?â€
Everyone helped Alice to her feet, and group continued on. Only about three minutes until we reach HQ, thought Hypatia.
*******
AvalonGirl heard the alarm, and started to run. And realized she couldn’t move. That second time I was unconscious, they must of bunnified me, she thought.

She lunged at IBCF, scratching with the claws that her fingernails had turned into. Watching helplessly, she could only hope that there was a cure.
IBCF sidestepped AvalonGirl’s lunge and ran to avoid her claws. But eventually, there was nowhere left to run.
“I hate do to this, Avalon, but it’s for your own good!†IBCF lifted his blaster and brought it down on AvalonGirl’s head.
As the blaster hit her head, AvalonGirl was stunned for a second… then realized that the blaster had broken to bits on her head. Snarling, she stared at IBCF, circling him.

Flying towards him on the large, leathery hot pink bat wings that had sprouted from her back, she grabbed the radio from his belt and snarled into it:
“We need more fighters! Bunnies attacking! TGYPWYA down!â€â€¨
TGYPWYA realized what was happening in front of him. He dove forward and grabbed the radio from AvalonBunnyGirl.
“NO! Don’t do it! This is TGYPWYA! AvalonGirl has been bunni-AAAAAAGH!â€â€¨
AvalonBunnyGirl turned her attack towards TGYPWYA. He only hoped that he hadn’t been bunnified too, and if he had, that it wouldn’t kick in just now.
IBCF grabbed TGYPWYA’s hand and ran with him down the hallway. AvalonGirl tore after the two, snarling and growling. They turned around a corner and backed up against the wall. IBCF took out another trusty weapon–a tranquilizer gun. AvalonGirl flew past the corner, and just at the same time IBCF opened fire.
“RRAAR!â€

Screaming, AvalonGirl fell to the ground. Numbly feeling the dart, she dimly realized that they would take her to their lab.

“Srsss…â€â€¨Hissing, she fell unconscious.

********
“Where are we?†Alice asked faintly as Hypatia and Kittymine helped her to her feet. “Is that Kittymine? I haven’t seen you for years.â€
Hypatia smiled at Alice. “Hello, Alice,†she said, “And welcome back!â€
Alice gingerly touched her cuts. “What happened? How did you get me away from the bunnies? I hardly remember anything…â€
“’Twas a hostage exchange.†Kittymine replied to Alice’s question carefully– they couldn’t give her too much info. “IBCF really rescued you, but he had to run off for something and we haven’t seen him since.â€
Kitty ended her speech quickly and turned toward the others, signaling that they should all keep moving. Turquoise led, Hypatia and ZVX helped Alice along, and Kittymine came in the rear, training the flashlight behind
********
The thing in the shadows cursed at the flashlight beam in a language that sounded suspiciously like North American Bunny, but kept following.
*******
IBCF made sure AvalonGirl was asleep, then carried her back to the tunnel. Voices of bunny guards echoed around the chamber, driving him and TGYPWYA to run faster. IBCF pushed Avalon through the small hole, and TGYPWYA pulled from the other side. Once she was in, IBCF picked her back up, and the two boys ran for their lives.
“Faster, they’re gaining on us!” IBCF panted. “We just have to make it back to the main tunnel, then we can hold them off!â€
********

“I’m a bit lost – are we going the right way?†Turquoise looked back to talk to Kittymine, Hypatia, and ZVX. The flashlight beam flashed all around the dark tunnel.
“Wait! What was that? I saw something – shine the light over there!†Kittymine spun the light around, and they all saw a pair of glowing eyes and long black ears.
*******
The thing in the shadows, realizing it had been seen, froze for a moment and then bolted off into the darkness.
*********
“What was THAT?†Kittymine asked, startled. “A black bunny? But the bunnies are hot pink/hybrid. Since when have there been black bunnies?â€
Then she remembered TGYPWYA’s message:

“Newfoundland under attack *static* like nothing I’ve *static* seen before the hybrid *static* the worst *static* not all pink be wary of your *static* William is trying to *static* us don’t let it work†I could put in most of the missing words now, but the most crucial lines were, “not all pink to be wary of†and, “William is trying to *static* us don’t let is work!.
The static probably meant, “spy onâ€! That explained the black bunny. Kittymine explained her theory to the others.
“We’ve gotta get out of here!” exclaimed ZVX, looking around nervously. “That black bunny could have all sorts of powers! Let’s not be the first to find out! C’mon!â€
He pulled out his blaster and held it aimed over his shoulder, hoping that this way he might be able to hit the bunny when it showed itself again. Then he turned to Kittymine and Hypatia, causing them to duck. “Ack! ZVX! Don’t aim that thing at us!”
“Oh yeah. Sorry. But listen. If we can find IBCF, we can probably defeat that bunny. But if it attacks us now, we can’t fight while also carrying Alice. She might get hit by ricocheting artillery.†ZVX turned and walked back up the tunnel about fifteen feet. “If I can pull this thing down, then we’ve got a barrier…the bunny won’t be able to get through….â€
ZVX aimed his blaster at the top of the tunnel. “Kittymine, Hypatia, get Alice out of the way.â€
He pulled the trigger. The ceiling of the tunnel exploded, sending rocks and dust everywhere–dirt came crashing down, creating a barrier, but it was so dusty ZVX couldn’t see for all he was worth. “Hypatia? Kittymine?You still there?â€
A sneeze came from somewhere to ZVX’s right.“Yeah, we’re still here- we look like we’ve been through wars, but otherwise we’re unscathed.†Kittymine managed a feeble chuckle. “Now, can we please keep going? We need to get there before it moves, and I can see the door in sight!â€
As the dust settled, the door was indeed revealed only maybe twenty feet away from the group. “Say, think we should–achoo!– excuse me, think we should just keep all this dust and rubble on us? Give a greater impression on everyone in there.â€
******
“We’re almost there!”IBCF shouted, or at least as well as he could shout with no breath to spare. “Just keep running!†

“I’m running!” panted TGYPWYA.
The snarls of the bunny guards got louder.
*****
“Yeah…keep the dust on,” ZVX said. “Sorry about the explosion, but it was the only way to block that bunny.†He looked through the gloom. “You still got that flashlight, Kitty?â€
ZVX turned, reached out and bumped smack into Hypatia. “Oops! Sorry Hypatia, I just couldn’t see through all this dang dust.â€
The dismantled pieces of the flashlight dropped to the floor “Here is your flashlight,” said an amused voice from the ceiling. The group looked up to see the dim shape of a bunny. A black bunny.
It grinned evilly. “You are mine now, humans.”
The bunny momentarily vanished, then reappeared on the ground, firing a black, extremely sticky substance from a weapon attached to its arm.
The black bunny was shooting something all over- Kittymine thought it was tar. Certainly smelled like it, she thought.
Noticing that the bunny was aiming for the weapons and gear, Kitty quickly lowered the visor on her suit. If the tar should stick the joints, at least she would be protected. She also ducked and rolled around, trying to minimize the target. She felt that this helped a bit, but the bunny was still shooting.
Pulling out her gun, Kittymine aimed for the black bunny’s weapon, but unfortunately her gun had been tarred up. Cursing under her breath, she dove behind a large boulder.
Noticing that her walkie-talkie was still on, she tried desperately to get through to Groundhog.
“Groundhog! This is Kitty! Quick- what kind of extra things can your new suits do? We’re being–” crashing noise– “Ow!– attacked by a black bunny squirting tar! I-”
Another noise, this one sounding a bit like a pack of rhinos. And then silence.
*******
As IBCF and TGYPWYA ran down the tunnel, IBCF suddenly stopped in his tracks. Ignoring TGYPWYA’s hissing, “What the heck do you think you’re doing?”, he casually leant on the wall and waved at the pursuing bunnies.
The bunnies screamed furiously and advanced.
******
In the heart of the bunny base, the door to William’s office opened and the smaller second-in-command bunny came in, bowing respectfully. “Good news, commander. The dark bunny has followed the humans back to one of their bases.”
“GOOD…DO YOU HAVE ANYTHING ELSE TO REPORT?” asked William.

The smaller bunny squirmed uncomfortably. “Um…sir, there has been a prisoner escape.”

”WHAT? screamed William. ” HOW?”

 If the smaller bunny had had a hat, he would have been nervously twisting it. “Er…there is a previously unknown tunnel that leads to our detention center. Someone got through and rescued two prisoners.”

“AND YOUR TROOPS STOOD THERE AND DID NOTHING?”

”No–the humans fought them off, sir. We are pursuing them through their tunnel now.”

“THREE PUNY HUMANS? ESCAPING YOU? PATHETIC FOOL!!! GET OUT AND FIND THEM OR YOU’LL BECOME MEAT FOR THE DRAGONBUNNIES!!!”

“Y-y-yessir!” The smaller bunny bolted away.
********
ZVX fired his blaster at the black bunny, trying in the meantime to unstick himself from the tar.
The bunny ducked. ZVX called to Hypatia and Kittymine: “See if there’s a way out of this place! I can’t keep this bunny here for very long. It’s got some black goo weapon.â€
ZVX dodged against the wall as the bunny fired at him. “Not this time, you mutant piece of black fur on measly bones!†He blasted the black bunny again, and this time got a hit in. The bunny crashed into the wall, but then leaped up and fired back with tar. ZVX ducked, and drew his lightsaber.
Lunging in, he slashed the bunny with it. “This bunny must be made of iron! I got it with a blaster and it’s still fighting! i never knew a bunny that could do that!†ZVX lashed some tar from the air as it sailed toward him. “A bunch of good that explosion did!†he yelled to Kittymine.

“No escape now…†the bunny hissed, and started shooting balls of fire at ZVX. He shot back with his blaster, and hit a fireball by mistake.
A colossal explosion ensued. “Another one!!†ZVX shouted over his shoulder. Dust and rubble were everywhere, and nothing could be seen in the wrecked tunnel.
“AAAAARRGHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! RUN!†ZVX shouted, and followed his own advice.
“Die now, humans… ” hissed the black bunny, and fired a full blast of tar.
“I don’t think so!†Kittymine growled at the bunny. Her walkie talkie had been taken out by the bunny’s sprayer, but she still had one more trick up her sleeve- an oil sprayer. Oil repells tar and other sticky stuff. So technically, even when the bunny tried to gum it up, the tar would just slide off.
Kittymine grinned and fired. Oil sprayed everywhere, sliding the tar off the Resisters and spraying the bunny straight in the face. It spluttered and coughed. Taking the chance, Kitty pulled out her blaster, de-gooed it, aimed, and fired. Bulls eye, straight to the temple! The black bunny fell back, unconscious.
“WELL, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? FINISH IT OFF!†ZVX shouted. “That thing is practically a sitting duck. Finish it.â€
“No, wait. We don’t have to kill it,” Hypatia said.”Why not shove it through the rubble? That way it won’t be able to follow us, and IBCF is already far enough in the tunnels that the bunny won’t find him either. What do you think?â€

ZVX turned to Kittymine. “Wait a minute. That bunny could have supernatural powers. What do you think is safest?â€
The black bunny, which had apparently only been pretending to be unconscious, suddenly slipped away into the shadows.
“Well, that takes care of that,” said ZVX. “But now we’re basically in the situation that we were in before. Just great…..”
******
TGYPWYA backed up against the wall, next to IBCF. “What the cake are you doing? We’re about to get killed, you idiot!”
The bunny horde was only about five meters away from the two now. IBCF grinned. “Watch this!†He pressed a button on the wall, and a trap door opened underneath the bunnies. Several bunnies fell in, and the remaining ones backed up a bit and snarled, but didn’t try to cross.
TGYPWYA grinned, “Well, that takes care of that…..”
“Uh-huh,” IBCF said. “And I’ve got a prototype transformer that I stole from the bunnies a couple weeks ago– shall we get back to the Base?”
*******
“Where’d the bunny go? Is everyone OK?†Turquoise asked, looking around.
“It got away, and it’s probably still around,” Kittymine answered. “Okay everyone, let’s take a head count. Hypatia- you’re by the wall; Alice- you’re behind that boulder; Turquoise- next to me; ZVX- also next to me; and I’m here, obviously. Now, we need to get to the door. I suggest that we keep our visors down in case that bunny reappears. Unfortunately, Alice doesn’t have a suit, but–” Kittymine lowered her voice so Alice couldn’t hear– “if she was already hypnotized, the only real danger she has is bunnification. We’ll just have to protect her.” She raised her voice back to the normal level again. “Okay then- let’s go for that door and be on your guard! Oh, Hypatia, could you buddy up with Alice?â€
Hypatia nodded and joined Alice. The group moved off quickly, hoping that the bunny wouldn’t appear again, but knowing that it probably would.
******
Groundhog heard Kitty’s voice come over her walkie-talkie again, asking what sort of things the new suits could do, but then cut out abruptly. She decided to send her a message, which she could pick up when her walkie-talkie got fixed.
“They can’t do anything new offensively, they still have the old depigmentizer darts in them.†Groundhog said into the mike on her desk. “But as long as you keep your helmet visors down, they can’t hypnotize you or anything. I’m really sorry.†She cursed herself for not finishing the new depigmentizer darts faster. They were done now, but that didn’t help everyone who had already taken a suit.
An electric sound made groundhog turn, just in time to see IBCF and TGYPWYA fizzle into being in the lab, carrying an unconscious, bunnified, AvalonGirl. “Oh, no!†she exclaimed, running over to them. “What happened?â€
“TGYPWYA and AvalonGirl were captured by the bunnies, and they managed to semi-bunnify AvalonGirl before I could get to them,” IBCF answered. “We’ll have to give AvalonGirl surgery.â€â€¨He handed a small gadget to groundhog. “This thing is too dangerous to use. Hide it, and make sure it doesn’t fall into the hands of the bunnies. Don’t use it unless it’s absolutely necessary.â€â€¨
((I’m starting to feel kind of sorry for William’s second-in-command….. ))

NOBODY has posted ANYTHING since I left? Not even in APPRECIATION of what I did? *despairs of fellow BAers* Fine, then. GAPAs, expect to get an email with a big attachment sometime in October or so. Until then, I expect to see something else posted here before I post anything else. *goes off fuming*
*but only for this thread, don’t worry*
*too much*
Here’s the prologue. Sorry I didn’t do this earlier–college kind of drove it from my mind.
Prologue:
At first, everyone had thought that the Hot-Pink Bunnies were mere mutants of the lagomorph family. Cute, harmless, and would probably die out within a few generations, due to their eye-catching fur that would be bound to attract predators.
We couldn’t have been more wrong.
Within a few months, it became clear that the Hot-Pink Bunnies were far more than they appeared. Not only could they detach their heads from their bodies and float in the air like hovercrafts, they were also able to bend other animals and even humans to their will through hypnosis. Efforts to eradicate this dangerous species merely led to their continued evolution, which granted them sentience and the power to not only hypnotize, but also to zombify others. By this point, they had abandoned their attempts to control other animals, and shifted to controlling humans exclusively. The worst power that they developed, however, was bunnification, which allowed them to inject hot-pink pigment into a victim and thereby assimilate bunny dogma into the victim’s brain. (Complete bunnification requires surgery, to modify the victim’s body to look more like that of a bunny. Partial bunnification merely involves the injection of hot pink pigment.) Other varieties of HPBs developed soon after, such as the Helibunny, which is able to use its ears as a propellor, and the Fire-Breathing Bunny, which breathes fire. A rare hybrid of the two, nicknamed the Dragonbunny, also exists.
The HPBs were slowly taking control of humans, but we were able to keep them mostly in check due to their methods of simply running wild and hypnotizing/zombifying/bunnifying people at random. We had also developed bunnyproof suits and BunnyBlasters, which gave us a small advantage. We were able to secure all of the victims in an asylum, and it seemed that we might actually defeat the HPBs once and for all. Then disaster struck.
The HPBs managed to hypnotize several world leaders, who immediately allowed the bunnies into their countries and allowed them to bunnify or zombify their citizens. Suddenly, the bunnies’ numbers multiplied by ten, allowing them to overrun the rest of the world. Some humans went into hiding to avoid being bunnified. Others actively fought the bunnies, despite the overwhelming odds. After a few months of guerrilla warfare, the Resistance, as they called themselves, found themselves facing the entire forces of the HPB army…
Year: 2008
A group of human fighters wearing battered bunnyproof suits stood in the middle of what was once the city of Chicago. Surrounding them were hordes of hot pink bunnies, who were all grinning maniacally at the prospect of bunnifying the group. Their leader, a bunny called William, surveyed the scene from his hovering position in the air. One of the humans, who was called Groundhog, turned to address her friends.
“People of MB, of the Kokonspiracy, I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me.†she said, waving her lightsaber. “A day may come when the courage of Musers fail, when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of Muserdom. But it is not this day. An hour of HPBs and shattered minds, when the age of Musing come crashing down, but it is not this day! This day we fight! By all that you hold dear on this good Musiverse, I bid you stand, People of MB!†she shouted. The other humans cheered in response, drew their weapons, and fought harder than they ever had before.
I get that LOTR reference, and I love it. Keep going!
SFTDP
Armada – If you haven’t finished already, I’d can keep up my promise to help as soon as my exams are over. (which should be around mid-May)
52, 53- THANK YOU SOSOSOSO MUCH, GROUNDHOG! *is forever grateful* No, I haven’t finished. I’m at the point where the base is at the edge of the lake, ZVX and most of the other Resisters are on the roof of the base to shoot the bunnies as they come in, you and a couple of other people are inside ready to run to the front of the building and jump up and down really hard to get the building to slide into the lake ( That cracks me up every time I read it.), and TGYPWYA is being threatened by Serafina, which eventually lead to the GAPAs intervening. That’s maybe a sixth or so of the way through. I’d love to have your help doing the rest.
As a note: I’ve been trying to separate the Resisters from the Musers somewhat–create a sci-fi-action-world setting distinct from the Muser atmosphere. As a result, I’ve cut out all the references to MB/Muse. However, this is open to debate and can be changed if that’s what people want.
52.1- If you want to help us, we could really use it! *hinthint*
54 – Hmmm…Well, if that ends up being the case, here’s an alternate speech:
“People of the Resistance, I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me.†she said, waving her lightsaber. “A day may come when the courage of humans fail, when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship. But it is not this day. An hour of HPBs and shattered minds, when the age of free will comes crashing down, but it is not this day! This day we fight! By all that you hold dear on this good Earth, I bid you stand, People of the Resistance!†she shouted. The other humans cheered in response, drew their weapons, and fought harder than they ever had before.
56- I like it a lot. But either one works. Which way d’you prefer?
57 – Hmmm… I think that cutting the blatant Muse/MB references is a good idea. It makes the story a little more accessible to non-Musers, even though the HPBs themselves (not to mention the use of the word “cake” as an expletive) originated as a part of MB culture.
58- That’s kind of how I feel too, yes. People can pick up on things like ‘cake’, but the Muse culture could be harder to get….
CTN! I need to talk to you here! And I’ll ask you again somewhere else more public if you don’t come over here!
Hey, CTN! Over here, please!
Um… yes?
*notices thread* *perks up* *runs off to start editing*
62- Yayayayayay! Yes, please help us! I’ve done up to post#401 on the second BA thread, or just before CTN joined. (Which I need to talk to CTN about–any ideas about how to get her on this thread?)
CTN CTN CTN CTN CTN CTN come over here
The SECOND thread!?! I just did about 20 posts on the first one continuing from up above. Oh well.
Huh? What happened?
63.1- That works, I suppose… And thanks for posting a get-over-here-now-people message on the random thread. I’d like to hear what you did anyway.
Here’s the last part I did:
Baylee was in the lab looking around at the injured people. ZVX had a dart in his chest and AvalonGirl’s wing was just fixed. “Why don’t you pull the dart out before you tend to it?†Baylee had just finished fixing a nuclear blaster, and was drawing the details for the underwater blasters (which seemed to be needed a lot at the moment). She worked quickly and quietly, hoping she could get them ready in time.

It had been a routine job. All radio signals from a primative system had stopped, and headquarters wanted to know why. As KaiYves flew past the planets, towards the third one, site of the civilization, here and there she found metal constructions, robots that somebody had built, all now dormant.
On the moon of the third planet, there were flags and footprints in the dust, boots and telescopes and other artifacts that somebody had left behind. But now, there was nothing.
The third planet itself was mostly ocean. Kai was stopping to enjoy the view when something collided with her ship–a defunct satellite.
She spun out of control, toward the ocean…

Just as Earthgirl had lowered herself into AvalonGirl’s mind, a huge splash rocked the base. The vibrations and waves sent everything everywhere else, and people too. Earthgirl, withdrawing from Avalon’s mind quickly, looked out the porthole and saw a huge shape clouded by bubbles crash into the water and crush the bunny subs.
“What is that!?†she yelled to the other occupants of the base, all of who rushed over and looked. (That is, all the conscious occupants. ZVX, Serafina, and AvalonGirl didn’t being busy with other activities, such as passing out on the floor.) As the bubbles cleared, Earthgirl could just make out the shape of…
She gasped. “Is it me, or is that thing a spaceship?”
******
The whole place shook, Baylee’s hand slipped, and the underwater blaster blew up. “Ah well, I might as well go and see what made it blow up,†she said, putting on her water suit. “I’m going out to see what happened, OK?” she said to anyone who might be listening. “If I’m not back in 15 minutes, use the aquascope.†She went through the airlock and dived into the water. The was a spaceship out there, sinking fast, and she could hear someone knocking at one of the windows. Someone was inside.
She quickly swam toward a window and frantically looked around inside. On the opposite side of the ship was a person trying to get out. Baylee ran to the other side and used an airlock opener. She attached it to the window and pulled. It came out, the lock still on. She tried to get the person’s attention, for they were already far below the base.
The person looked over at her and nodded. Baylee pulled and there was a huge blast and then a bubble. Baylee swam out the opened porthole, and the person from the ship–Baylee could see it was a girl, maybe a bit older than her–swam out behind her, holding her breath. Baylee shoved a bubble breather over the girl’s head, hoping it would hold under the deep sea pressure. She kicked hard and swam up, towards the base, but she was slow, too slow…
“Come on, I need a miracle!†she begged to anyone who might be listening. The suit’s air tank was running out, and she could see that the bubble breather on the other girl was close to bursting. A small blue shape was swiftly moving through the water. Pain in her shoulder. She pulled out one of the water grenades she had been working on and blindly threw one. No explosion.
Finally when it felt like all hope was lost, the grenade exploded. And then everything went black.

Cake,†Kokonilly muttered, looking around as there was yet another explosion in the water. “I should really start paying attention, Baylee… Baylee? …BAYLEE?â€
She looked around, suddenly panicked. Baylee was nowhere in sight. She looked out the window, and could just see, in the water underneath the base, the shape of someone twisting gently in the current.
“Oh, no!” Kokonilly dove into the water, not bothering with anything more than a bubble breather. She dove down, and after what seemed like ages, reached Baylee, who was limp and unmoving. Kokonilly dragged her back to the base.
“Oh Baylee, please, please, wake up, please wake up, please…â€

Zinc grabbed the torpedo launcher in the absence of anything else to do. She aimed, she fired, she missed. “Aargh! I can never do anything right with my arms!†she grumbled, and kicked the torpedo. She hit the foot launcher with her foot, and blew up a submarine.
“Cool!†She kicked it again. “Whee! What fun!†Kick kick kick kick…

Bookworm was vaguely conscious of everything going on around him, but he was too busy with AvalonGirl to pay much attention to it. As she unconscious, standard hypnosis would not work, but…. Bookworm finished bandaging her wing, and after making sure she was not life-threatened, he began to hypnotize her.
It was a hard task, involving a lot of whispering, and took longer than he would have liked. After a few minutes, however, he felt the familiar feeling of full hypnosis wash over him. He let his mindshape blossom out and join Earthgirl’s inside AvalonGirl’s mind room. It was a completely different case type than Kokonilly’s hypnosis. In Kokonilly’s head, the mind room had been all fine except the small black bunny area. In AvalonGirl’s mind, however, everything was hot pink. None of her room looked safe, it was all mossy and slimy. However, two AvalonGirls were in the bed. One was the human AvalonGirl, while another was still completely bunnified and evil. It seemed they hadn’t fully gotten rid of the bunnification.
He looked to Earthgirl’s mindshape, which seemed shocked. Neither of them knew what to do…
*****
“BAYLEE!†Kokonilly screeched. “WAKE UP!!!â€
Baylee gave a shudder and coughed up some water. “Thanks Kokonilly.†She grimaced. “That was a close one, though. Very close.”
Kokonilly sighed. “Oh good, you’re okay! I was so worried!â€
Baylee grinned. â€That’s what I’m here for!â€
“Of course. You’re here to worry me.†Kokonilly rolled her eyes and grinned. Then she frowned. “But why did you jump in in the first place?”
Baylee blinked, then stared at Kokonilly, her eyes wide. “Oh my gods! There was someone in that spaceship, and she still down there! We have to–” She struggled upright. “We have to go and help her!”
Kokonilly pushed her back down. “You need to rest, Baylee. You’re almost drowned. Whoever’s down there, they’re beyond our help now. They’re either fine on their own or dead already, and we’re not risking any more lives to go help them. For all we know, they could be bunnified.”
Baylee sniffed, but stayed quiet. She knew Kokonilly was right, though she didn’t want to admit it to herself.

KaiYves’s spaceship exploded through the surface of the water, and kept on going. Kai sat at the controls, dripping wet and shaking slightly. She wasn’t going back to that planet whatever happened–she could report it to HQ, and they could do something about it. There were, no doubt, places on the planet where she would not have been plunged–literally–into a life-threatening situation, but she wasn’t going to stick around to find one. Just the look on the faces of those hot pink monsters as she sank past their submarines….
KaiYves shuddered, and turned her spaceship’s nose toward the stars.
******
With her toes hurting and her torpedo launcher out of torpedoes, Zinc stopped kicking the foot launcher. Everyone in the sub was either being examined by someone, examining someone, or unconscious on the floor, it seemed. She felt useless.
Looking for something to do, she looked out the window. There was something that looked like a submarine on the ocean floor. But it wasn’t a bunny sub, and it wasn’t the spaceship that had just crashed into the water.
“Well, if anyone cares, I’m going in my submersible to investigate that sub on the bottom of the ocean! I won’t be gone for long! If anyone cares…†Zinc said as she climbed into her submersible and headed toward the sub.
And yes, you can ask if you’re totally confused as to what was going on there. I had to drop Kai in and out really fast because that was all the part she had in BA, plus it’s fun to do random stuff like that once in a while.
Thanks a bunch for helping, Jakob. I was giving up on this thread…
49- Wow…nice job, Armada! But on that last bit–AvalonGirl called for help on her walkie-talkie, and Turquoise confirmed it (see below). For the sake of realism, I think the walkie-talkie version would be better than me “[having] a feeling someone needs help.”

Waking up, I noticed BUNNIES.
EVERYWHERE.
Trying to grab my PINMB (Photon Instantaneous Neutralizer of MuseBloggers) I realized…I couldn’t. I was tied up. Fighting the urge to scream, I hissed into my TWTMB (Trusty Walkie-Talkie of MuseBloggers)
“Kittymine! I’ve been captured by the bunnies…In hostage holding room! HEL-GGZZHHhh….â€
As the TWTMB fell to the floor, the largest bunny had a grin on it’s face.
“Now she cannot tell where she is! Move her to the hostage holding cell!â€

“Did you hear the walkie-talkie? Someone’s been captured!â€
Here’s what I did earlier:
“Heck, it got away, and it’s probably still around.†Kittymine said. “Okay everyone, let’s take a head count. Hypatia- you’re by the wall; Alice- you’re behind that boulder; Turquoise- next to me; Ź√Ҳ- also next to me; and I’m here, obviously. Now, we need to get to the door. I suggest that we keep our visors down in case that bunny reappears. Unfortunately, Alice doesn’t have a suit, but,†she lowered her voice so Alice couldn’t hear, “if she was already hypnotized, the only real danger she has is bunnification. We’ll just have to protect her.†Kittymine raised her voice back to normal level. “Okay then- let’s go for that door and be on your guard! Oh, Hypatia, could you buddy up with Alice?†Hypatia nodded and joined Alice. They moved off quickly, hoping that the bunny wouldn’t appear again, but knowing that it probably would.
————————————————————————————————————
“TGYPWYA and AvalonGirl were captured by the bunnies, and they managed to semi-bunnify AvalonGirl before I could get to them. We’ll have to give her surgery.†Ã߀ƒ said, and handed Groundhog the transporter. “This thing is too dangerous to use. Hide it, and make sure it doesn’t fall into the hands of the bunnies. Don’t use it unless it’s absolutely necessary.â€
Groundhog took the transporter from Ã߀ƒ. “I’ll disable it, just in case there’s another one of these that needs this one in order to work properly.†She then looked at AvalonGirl. “She’ll need surgery, yes. But she’ll need to have the bunny dogma removed from her mind first. Otherwise, the surgery won’t have any effect. The first step, however, is to depigmentize her.†Groundhog pulled out one of the new depigmentizer syringes and injected its contents into AvalonGirl’s arm. Within a few seconds, most of the hot pink color had left her skin, leaving it an almost normal color. “It’s a good thing she’s unconscious,†Groundhog remarked. “She’d be really hard to deprogram otherwise. Which, incidentally, is what we need to do to her next. That room over there has the necessary equipment. When that’s done, we’ll need to reverse the surgical adjustments that the bunnies made.†She dragged AvalonGirl into the room that she’d just pointed out, and strapped her into a chair in the center of the room. Groundhog grimaced. Debunnification was not the most tasteful of processes, to say the least. She attached monitoring electrodes to her wrists and temples, and gave AvalonGirl a sleep drug, so that she wouldn’t regain consciousness during the process. Then Groundhog dragged an apparatus that looked like a brainwashing device from a corny old movie over to the chair. What it really was was a combination brain scanner and thought extractor. It would scan AvalonGirl’s brain, and show the areas that were housing the bunny dogma on a screen. Then Groundhog would be able to tell it to extract the thoughts from those areas, which would remove the bunny dogma from her brain. Another screen, the feed from the monitoring electrodes, would show her vital signs, so that she could slow down or pause the debunnification process if it was straining AvalonGirl’s body too much. Groundhog positioned it over her head, and retreated behind a glass partition, where the screens were. She turned on the vital signs monitor and the brain scanner. AvalonGirl’s vital signs were fine, as was expected, but her brain was something else. The areas which were housing bunny dogma, shown in hot pink, were all over her brain! Groundhog clicked a button on a remote control sitting near her, which made the scanner move in until it touched AvalonGirl’s head. Then she clicked another button on the control, which made a small door on the chair’s headrest open up and a pair of blacked-out goggles to come out of the opening and strap themselves over AvalonGirl’s eyes– Groundhog didn’t want her eyes popping out. Then, reluctantly, she selected the hot pink areas on the brain scan and pushed the button labeled EXTRACT on the console. Immediately, the thought extractor began to pulse, and AvalonGirl began to scream. Groundhog was glad that the glass partition muted the screaming somewhat, but it was still horrible to hear. After a few seconds, she began writhing in the chair, still screaming like a banshee. Groundhog looked at her vital signs. Her heart rate was elevated, and her breathing was practically off the charts. Groundhog clicked yet another button on the remote, which activated an oxygen mask in the chair. It would give her the correct amount of oxygen for her breathing rate, so that she wouldn’t end up with the usual effects of hyperventilation. Groundhog looked back at the brain scan, and found that over half of the pink areas had disappeared already. That was good. She obviously hadn’t been bunnified for very long, otherwise this would take a lot longer. Groundhog endured a few more minutes of AvalonGirl’s screaming and writhing, until at long last the screen flashed COMPLETE at her, and the thought extractor backed away from the chair. She clicked the release button on her remote, which made the chair undo all of the various straps holding her down. Groundhog dragged her back out to the main room and laid her on a couch. “Can you help with the surgery in a few minutes?†she asked Ã߀ƒ. “I think we may actually need to use the transporter in the near future. We’re retreating to the trench as soon as everyone gets back.†Groundhog sent a message to POSOC telling him that there was a new development which could make our retreat much easier, and then sat back down at her desk.
“Sure, I’ll help.†Ã߀ƒ said.
“Okay,†Groundhog replied to Ã߀ƒ. “She needs a little rest before we operate on her, but we should be able to do it before we move into the trench.â€
————————————————————————————————————
The Black Bunny covered the path in tar, then climbed onto the ceiling and waited.
“Dang it, it got away. It might go attack someone else–or it might attack us. Either way, things aren’t going to be a picnic.†Ź√Ҳ pointed out to Kittymine. “But at least it’s away right now, and we should take advantage of its absence. Hypatia! Can you manage Alice on your own?†he continued, unsheathing his claymore, its blade glinting in the near-total
darkness. “I’ll see if I can distract the bunny from Alice if it comes again. Since she’s hypnotized, her life is basically in our hands. Kittymine, see if you can back me up if the bunny comes.â€
Ź√Ҳ, Hypatia, Turquoise, Kittymine, and Alice continued on. As they walked toward the door, now 10 feet away, Kittymine noticed an odd squelching noise coming from the floor. Pulling out her penlight (her flashlight had been previously dismembered), she aimed it at the floor. There was TAR- everywhere. Dripping, squelching, sticking, and most importantly, trapping them in a web of goo. Suddenly a torrent of the tar poured down from the ceiling, obscuring the door and everything else from their vision. Luckily the group all had oil on ourselves, so the tar slid off. But if this torrent kept going, they’d drown! At the moment, the “sea†of tar was about ankle deep. “RUN FOR THE DOOR! Get out your weapons!†Kittymine yelled. It was at that moment when the resistance was fumbling for their weapons when the bunny appeared.
————————————————————————————————————
TGYPWYA walked into the main room, where IBCF and Groundhog where talking. He had been getting some R & R, after nonstop action since post #132. “Hey IBCF, it’s great to see you again, Groundhog, and… whoa. AvalonGirl is looking better, but it looks like you aren’t done yet. Is there any way I can help before I head back out into the field to finish what I started? I mean, if it wasn’t for you guys, I’d be dead, or worse… I guess… well, how can I help?â€
“We haven’t heard from the rescue party since they were attacked by that black bunny. Do you think you could go back in the tunnels and see if you can find them? The door’s that way.†Ã߀ƒ said, pointing toward the door. “I think we’re ready for the surgery now, Groundhog.â€
“Okay.†She replied, pressing the “Prep for Surgery†button on her desk, which opened up a different door, revealing a washing-up room with nurse-bots scurrying around it. A gurney rolled out of the door, and Groundhog placed AvalonGirl on it. It rolled back through the prep room and into the operating theater. She gave a theatrical bow, gesturing for Ã߀ƒ to enter.
————————————————————————————————————
It was getting harder to run through the tar- it seemed to be sucking at their legs, threatening to devour them. Then the bunny started throwing something metallic at the group. One hit the tunnel wall, embedding itself in the dirt. Great, Kittymine thought. Now we’ll be sliced to bits! She went for her walkie talkie, only to find it missing. “Guys, I think we’re in big trouble…†She saw something gleam dully near her. Then she heard a snicker.
“Prepare to die, humans!†The Black Bunny snarled.
——————————————————————————————————
Ã߀ƒ walked in, looked at AvalonGirl, and said “Hm. Hmmm…We’ll have to get rid of the claws and the fangs and the wings. Her ears don’t seem to have developed, fortunately.â€
Groundhog followed Ã߀ƒ into the washroom, and allowed the nurse-bots to scrub her down to within an inch of her life and change her lab coat for a set of scrubs. “Yeah,†she replied to Ã߀ƒ as they were doing so. “And maybe we can get some of the pink stains from the dye out while we’re at it.†As the bots tied a mask over her face, she hummed ‘Like A Surgeon’, and entered the operating room.
Ã߀ƒ whistled and brought in saws and other dangerous looking tools. As Ã߀ƒ and Groundhog began the operation, a message came in from one of the GAPAs. It said that the bunnies couldn’t stand music played in 3/4 time. Groundhog made a mental note to invent a music gun sometime in the very near future. She fastened an anesthetic mask over AvalonGirl’s face, so that when the injection she gave her wore off, she wouldn’t wake up. “What do you think we should start on?†Groundhog asked him. “The wings?†“Yes, the wings. They’re ugly.†Ã߀ƒ said, and got to work.
————————————————————————————————————
Kittymine looked up. There was the bunny, holding two immensely sharp and pointy daggers at her. They also appeared to be heavy, which would help give them greater momentum if the bunny were to drop them. IF-yeah right. More like WHEN. She screamed and moved to dodge, only to find that her feet were stuck in the tar. “Guys, keep moving or you’ll get stuck-go for help! I’ll try and manage!†Kittymine heard someone shout something and fire a blaster. The blast bounced off the bunny. It grinned wickedly.
The Black Bunny grinned. “I seem to have been hit. An injured bunny can’t hold such heavy knives…â€
The daggers fell, seemingly in slow motion. Kittymine closed her eyes, hoping that her helmet might just protect her. She felt a skull-cracking thud, saw a blinding light, and then everything went black.
Alice watched as Kittymine fell. Some little nerve inside her told her to scream, to run to her, something, but she just didn’t care enough. The Black Bunny swung towards her, talking. Its eyes weren’t black at all, but those multicolored swirling orbs that seemed so familiar to her. Alice nodded and bowed despite all her impulses. She found herself standing on a rock, no longer mired in the tar, and the Black Bunny swung away. Her distant self cried out at her folly, but that part of her brain was no longer in control.
Alice took a flying leap, landing clear of the tar, and began to run down the tunnel, leaving her friends far behind.
“Alice! She’s gone! And Kittymine’s down!†Turquoise screamed at her walkie-talkie. “The black bunny’s gone, and we’re stuck in this tar!â€
Not in the walkie talkie, she said “How can we get out of this muck? Someone has to carry Kittymine, and the tar’s hardening. Expletive. Is there anything we can do to get this tar out of the way? Or melt a path through it or something?â€
————————————————————————————————————
Ã߀ƒ heard the walkie-talkie. “Groundhog, we have a problem. Could the operation wait?â€
“As long as she’s out, we can keep her that way while we move, and do the operation afterwards.†Groundhog replied. “But we may have to postpone the move a bit too, considering that the exchange team seems to have run into problems. We need everyone in here before we retreat to the trench.†She’d heard the walkie-talkie as well as Ã߀ƒ had, and…it was almost too horrible for her to fathom. Kitty was down, presumably due to a blow from a bunny, and her suit would only go so far if she was unconscious. What if the bunnies took her captive? Groundhog shelved her thoughts for a moment to reply to Ź√Ҳ’s transmission. “I guess that means the bunnies really did have her hypnotized. TGYPWYA is on his way, so you’ll have some more help in a moment.†As she ended the transmission, her thoughts returned to Kitty. Groundhog would do anything to rescue her, even come out of combat retirement right then and there and go charging into the bunnies’ headquarters to retrieve her. Hopefully none of that would be necessary, but all the same…
————————————————————————————————————
“No! It can’t be!†Ź√Ҳ hurried over to Kittymine, who lay there, still. “Turquoise, do you have anything we could make a stretcher from? If she lies in this tar too long, then she’ll be stuck and we won’t be able to get her out.†Suddenly, he remembered something. He had a roll of string in my pocket! He pulled it out.
“Turquoise, Hypatia, give me your BunnyBlasters. We can lash them together to create a stretcher with this string in my pocket.†Ź√Ҳ pulled out his own BunnyBlaster and started to put it down–
The bunny sprang on top of him. Ź√Ҳ rolled out of the way as he hit the floor. The bunny pulled a wicked dart from its other paw, and advanced on him. “You will die…NOW!†The bunny leaped onto Ź√Ҳ, who grunted in pain and punched it. The bunny laughed and picked its dart up from the tar. Drawing his own dagger, Ź√Ҳ lay there poised to stab the bunny the moment it injected its dart.
“Hello? I thought I heard something…†TGYPWYA finally found where the small group was, and the chaos it was in. He saw Kitty down and started to run to help… but was stopped abruptly by the tar. “What the…?†He regained his state of mind and called out, “Is Kittymine okay?â€
“We’re not sure,†someone called out. “And Alice is gone!â€
“Aw, *censored*.†TGYPWYA muttered, sloshing through the sticky, slowly solidifying goo. “Wait,†He called out, “whatever happened to the black bunny?â€
The Black Bunny slowly snuck up behind TGYPWYA, weapon in hand.
“TGYPWYA! LOOK OUT!†Turquoise shot a blast at the bunny, but she only clipped its ear. It shrieked in pain, but didn’t stop coming. TGYPWYA spun around and whacked the bunny squarely on the head. It fell, but fired its weapon first…
———————————————————————————————————–
A bunny private marched up to William. “Commander, we have lost the escaped captives in the tunnels. They say the humans have opened a deep pit that they cannot cross.”
YOU WILL BRING YOUR FORCES INTO THE TUNNEL AND GET ACROSS THIS PIT,” shouted William.
The bunny was puzzled. “Um…how, sir?”
William glared. “I DON’T KNOW!!! BUILD A BRIDGE! USE STILTS! FILL UP THE PIT, IF YOU HAVE TO! JUST GET ACROSS THE THING!
“Yessir!” The private scrambled away.
65- Cake, you’re right. I was really tired when I edited that part, I think… *goes off to change it* Here, is this better?:
AvalonGirl woke with a start, and immediately noticed BUNNIES. EVERYWHERE.

Trying to grab her blaster, she realized…she couldn’t. She was tied up.
Fighting the urge to scream, she hissed into her radio, while mentally thanking the gods for Groundhog’s insistence that all Resisters carry a radio.
“Kittymine! I’ve been captured by the bunnies…In hostage holding room! HEL-GGZZHHhh….†

As the radio fell to the floor, the largest bunny had a grin on its face.
“Now she cannot tell where she is! Move her to the hostage holding cell!â€

IBCF pushed a button on the tunnel wall, and watched as the tunnel behind the group collapsed. “Well, that should stop anyone following us….”
Turquoise’s walkie-talkie crackled suddenly. She listened as the message came through.
“Did you hear the walkie-talkie? Someone’s been captured!†she exclaimed.
IBCF looked grim. “You two take Alice back, and tell them that we need reinforcements. I’m taking a detour.†He sprinted off through another tunnel.
The thing in the shadows watched, and grinned.
How’s that?
66- Here’s my version of that part. IBCF (or any third party), which do you like better?:
“Where’d the bunny go? Is everyone OK?†Turquoise asked, looking around.
“It got away, and it’s probably still around,” Kittymine answered. “Okay everyone, let’s take a head count. Groundhog heard Kitty’s voice come over her walkie-talkie again, asking what sort of things the new suits could do, but then cut out abruptly. She decided to send her a message, which she could pick up when her walkie-talkie got fixed. “They can’t do anything new offensively, they still have the old depigmentizer darts in them,†she said into the mike on her desk. “But as long as you keep your helmet visors down, they can’t hypnotize you or anything. I’m really sorry.†She cursed herself for not finishing the new depigmentizer darts faster. They were done now, but that didn’t help everyone who had already taken a suit.
The sound of the door opening made her turn, just in time to see IBCF and TGYPWYA come into the lab, looking rather battered and carrying an unconscious, partially bunnified AvalonGirl. “Oh, no!†Groundhog exclaimed, running over to them. “What happened?â€
“TGYPWYA and AvalonGirl were captured by the bunnies, and they managed to semi-bunnify AvalonGirl before I could get to them,” IBCF answered. “We’ll have to give AvalonGirl surgery.â€
Groundhog took AvalonGirl from the two, laid her on a lab table, and took a look at her. “She’ll need surgery, yes. But she’ll need to have the bunny dogma removed from her mind first. Otherwise, the surgery won’t have any effect. Groundhog dragged AvalonGirl into the room that she’d just pointed out, and strapped her into a chair in the center of the room, then grimaced. Debunnification was not the most tasteful of processes, to say the least. She sighed and attached monitoring electrodes to AvalonGirl’s wrists and temples, then gave her a sleep drug, so that she wouldn’t regain consciousness during the process. AvalonGirl’s vital signs were fine, as was expected, but her brain was something else. The areas which were housing bunny dogma, shown in hot pink, were all over her brain!

Groundhog was glad that the glass partition muted the screaming somewhat, but it was still horrible to hear. After a few seconds, Avalon began writhing in the chair, still screaming like a banshee. Groundhog looked at her vital signs. Her heart rate was elevated, and her breathing was practically off the charts. She clicked yet another button on the remote, which activated an oxygen mask in the chair. It would give AvalonGirl the correct amount of oxygen for her breathing rate, so that she wouldn’t end up with the usual effects of hyperventilation. Groundhog looked back at the brain scan, and found that over half of the pink areas had disappeared already. That was good. AvalonGirl obviously hadn’t been bunnified for very long, otherwise this would take a lot longer.
Groundhog endured a few more minutes of AvalonGirl’s screaming and writhing, until at long last the screen flashed COMPLETE, and the thought extractor backed away from the chair. She clicked the release button on her remote, which made the chair undo all of the various straps holding AvalonGirl down. Groundhog dragged her back out to the main room and laid her on a couch.
“Can you help with the surgery in a few minutes?†she asked IBCF. “We’re retreating to the Trench as soon as everyone gets back.â€
“Sure, I’ll help.”
“Okay, great. She needs a little rest before we operate on her, but we should be able to do it before we move into the Trench.” Groundhog sat back down at her desk. “You should get a little rest yourselves in the meantime. Go and relax. AvalonGirl should be ready when you come back.”

The group in the tunnel continued on. As they walked toward the door, now 10 feet away, Kittymine noticed an odd squelching noise coming from the floor. Pulling out her penlight (her flashlight having been previously dismembered) she aimed it at the floor.

It was getting harder to run through the tar–it seemed to be sucking at the groups’ legs, threatening to devour them. Just lovely, Turquoise thought. We’re trapped in a tunnel filled with tar and there’s a black bunny trying to kill us. How could this get any worse?
Then the bunny started throwing shurikens. One hit the tunnel wall, embedding itself in the dirt. Ah. Even better, Turquoise thought. Now we’ll be sliced to bits! She went for her walkie talkie, only to find it missing.
“Guys, I think we’re in big trouble…†she said, then ducked another shuriken and ran for shelter by the walls of the tunnel.
Kittymine saw something gleam dully near her. Then she heard a snicker.
“Prepare to die, human!” hissed the bunny. It produced two daggers from somewhere, climbed across the ceiling and swung at Kittymine from above.

TGYPWYA walked into the main room of the Base, where IBCF and Groundhog where talking. He had been getting some rest, after nonstop action since being sent out to the bases.

“Okay, sure.” TGYPWYA waved to IBCF and Groundhog and left through the tunnel.
“Okay, Groundhog, I think we’re ready for the surgery now,†IBCF said, taking a deep breath.

Groundhog followed him into the washroom, and allowed the nurse-bots to scrub her down to within an inch of her life and change her lab coat for a set of scrubs. “Yeah,†she replied to IBCF as they were doing so. “Definitely get rid of the claws and fangs and wings. And maybe we can get some of the pink stains from the dye out while we’re at it.†As the bots tied a mask over her face, she hummed ‘Like A Surgeon’, and entered the operating room.
IBCF followed her into the operating room, whistling, and crossed over to the set of drawers, which he began rummaging through. “Let’s see, we’ll need this…. and this…. and this…..”
“IBCF, we do not need a cast remover for this operation!”
“Oh, that’s what this is? I thought it was a weird saw….”
Groundhog rolled her eyes. “Well, anyway. Let’s get going.” She fastened an anesthetic mask over AvalonGirl’s face, so that when the injection she gave her wore off, she wouldn’t wake up. “What do you think we should start on?†she asked. “The wings?â€
“Yes, the wings. They’re ugly.â€
IBCF and Groundhog bent over the operating table and got to work.

Thoughtful of the bunnies to let their enemies prepare to die, Kittymine thought, and looked up. There was the bunny, holding two immensely sharp and pointy daggers at her. They also appeared to be heavy, which would help give them greater momentum if the bunny were to drop them. That is, when the bunny dropped them.
Kitty screamed and moved to dodge, only to find that her feet were stuck in the tar. “Guys, keep moving or you’ll get stuck–go for help! I’ll try and manage!†she shouted, and at the same time heard someone else shout something and fire a blaster. The blast bounced off the bunny. It grinned wickedly.
“I seem to have been hit. An injured bunny can’t hold such heavy knives…”
The daggers fell, seemingly in slow motion. Kittymine closed her eyes, hoping that her helmet might just protect her. She felt a skull-cracking thud, saw a blinding light, and then everything went black.
Alice watched as Kittymine fell. Some little nerve inside her told her to scream, to run to Kitty, something, but she just didn’t care enough. The black bunny swung towards her, talking. Its eyes weren’t black at all, but those multicolored swirling orbs that seemed so familiar to Alice.
She nodded and bowed despite all her impulses. She found herself standing on a rock, no longer mired in the tar, and the black bunny swung away. Alice’s distant self cried out at her folly, but that part of her brain was no longer in control.
She took a flying leap, landing clear of the tar, and began to run down the tunnel, leaving her friends far behind.
“Alice! She’s gone! And Kittymine’s down!†Turquoise screamed at her walkie-talkie. “The black bunny’s gone, and we’re stuck in this tar! Someone, help!â€
She turned to the rest of the group.“How can we get out of this muck? Someone has to carry Kittymine, and the tar’s hardening. Expletive. Is there anything we can do to get this tar out of the way? Or melt a path through it or something?â€
********
IBCF, bent over the operating table, heard the walkie-talkie. “Groundhog, we have a problem. Could the operation wait?â€
Groundhog considered for a minute. “I guess so…. As long as she’s out, we can keep her that way while we move, and do the operation afterwards. But we may have to postpone the move a bit too, considering that the exchange team seems to have run into problems. We need everyone in here before we retreat to the Trench.â€
She’d heard the walkie-talkie as well as IBCF had, and…it was almost too horrible for her to fathom. Kitty was down, presumably due to a blow from a bunny, and her suit would only go so far if she was unconscious. What if the bunnies took her captive?
She shelved her thoughts for a moment to reply to Turquoise’s transmission. “About Alice… I guess that means the bunnies really did have her hypnotized. TGYPWYA is on his way, so you’ll have some more help in a moment.â€
As she ended the transmission, her thoughts returned to Kitty. She’d do anything to rescue her sister, even come out of combat retirement right then and there and go charging into the bunnies’ headquarters to retrieve her. Hopefully none of that would be necessary, but all the same…
*******
“No! it can’t be!†ZVX hurried over to Kittymine as she lay there, still. “Turquoise, d’you have anything we could make a stretcher from? If she lies in this tar too long, then she’ll be stuck and we won’t be able to get her out.†He remembered something suddenly. He had a roll of string in his pocket. He pulled it out. “Turquoise, Hypatia, give me your blasters. We can lash them together to create a stretcher with this string.†He took out his own blaster and started to put it down–
Thud
The black bunny sprang out of the darkness and landed on top of ZVX. He rolled out of the way as the bunny hit the floor.
The bunny pulled a wicked looking dart from its other paw, and advanced on him. “You will die…NOW!â€
It leaped onto ZVX, who grunted in pain and punched it.
The bunny growled and retreated back onto the wall, where it began hurling star-shaped pieces of metal at ZVX. Then, suddenly, it was gone again.
“Hello? I thought I heard something…â€
TGYPWYA had finally found where the small group was, and the chaos it was in.
He saw Kitty down and started to run to help, but was stopped abruptly by the tar. “What the…?â€
Looking around, he realized that there were even more urgent problems than the tar. “Is Kittymine okay?â€
“We’re not sure,†someone called out. “And Alice is gone!â€
“Aw, cake.†TGYPWYA muttered, sloshing through the sticky, slowly solidifying goo. Suddenly he had a thought.
“Wait, what happened to the black bunny?â€
“TGYPWYA! LOOK OUT!â€
TGYPWYA whirled around to see the bunny advancing on him from the other side. Turquoise shot a blast at the bunny, but only clipped its ear. The bunny shrieked in pain, but didn’t stop coming. TGYPWYA spun around and whacked the bunny squarely on the head. It fell, cursing in Bunny, but not before it had fired its weapon.

In the heart of the bunny base, outside the office of the supreme bunny leader, William’s second-in-command was not looking forward to giving his report. If William was mad now, he would be even madder after the report.
The bunny sighed, and knocked.
“COME IN,” said William’s voice from the other side of the door. The smaller bunny did so.
“WELL? WHAT’S YOUR REPORT THIS TIME?”
The smaller bunny looked fearful. “Commander, we have lost the escaped captives in the tunnels. They say the humans have opened a deep pit that they cannot cross.”
William, surprisingly, did not erupt. “YOU WILL BRING YOUR FORCES INTO THE TUNNEL AND GET ACROSS THIS PIT.”
The smaller bunny blinked. “Um…how, sir?”
“I DON”T KNOW!!! BUILD A BRIDGE! USE STILTS! FILL UP THE PIT, IF YOU HAVE TO! JUST GET ACROSS THE THING!” William snarled.
“Yessir!” The smaller bunny scrambled away.
And IBCF, tell me if I made you look too goofy there. I didn’t portray you like that all the time, and I can change it if you don’t like it.
*looks at extremely long post* Sorry, GAPAs!
CTN–I need to discuss your BA character with you a bit. See, I find your character somewhat annoying (NOT you, just your character), and I’d like to portray you in a better light than I’m sure I would if left to myself. Since I’m making the rule for BA only human and bunny characters allowed, I’m wondering if you have any guidelines about your character’s…um, character, that I could work with to make her something other than the orange Titan. (And you get to keep the orange hair!)
Hey, look, people. If you wanted to determine the guidelines for this thing, you should have done it yourselves. I’m the editor-in-chief now, because nobody else has done anything for the past four months up until this week. And I think the humans-only rule is pretty fair. I mean, I have a nonhuman character myself, right?
Armada, I did exit BA a long time now. So I don’t really remember.
As for my character… you can doing anything about her. I really don’t remember much about her. Sorry, I’m not much of a helper.
69- Okay, I guess I’ll try my best to put her in a positive light. She just seems rather…. -ish to me, and I don’t really like that in characters, so I’d have to change her character completely. But I’ll try.
68 – If the only characters allowed are humans and bunnies, what’s going to happen when some of us go off to the Titan planet to recruit the Titans?
71- You went off to Titan? I don’t remember that….. Drastic revising is what’s going to happen, I guess, unless we can think of some way around that…. maybe we can change the Titans to a group of humans living on a moon base? Or something? I don’t know….. I was thinking of cutting out the black-cloaky-things too, having them be replaced by HPBs, but I think I’m going to have to get a few other peoples’ opinions before I can do that. What do you think (about both)?
72 – I think a few people tried to go there… I like the moon base idea, since it’ll still involve going into space. And I think eliminating the Malarky (which is what Kittymine called them) and replacing them with HPBs is a good idea as well. Maybe some nicegoodius ones?
Oh, and what are you up to? I just had my last exam, so I want to start editing as well. But I don’t want to accidentally do something that you were already working on.
73- No, the Malarky are the other things. The black-cloaky-thingies are the things like the Sith, y’know, in the 5th-6th BA. Unless we’re not talking about the same things….
I’m up to…. lessee, comment#68 on the…..either second on third thread, I don’t know. It’s after the sub battle, and the black bunny is in the base. Last post was:
ZVX turned to Groundhog. “Toss it out in the water, back where its friends are.†The knife wound was bleeding unstoppably, weakening his voice.
“Stands to reason, doesn’t it…besides, a nice little crack at it…..dang knife….â€
Yeh. That was about the black bunny, BTW. Kitty attacked it with a welding torch, but it was still alive. Resilient things, black bunnies.
‘Kay, I’m progressing past that part now, so just ask me where I’m at right before you start editing, since I don’t want to clog up the thread with posts telling where I’m at every half hour….
Okay, where are you up to now?
76- Post 148 on third thread. Last part I did:
~~~~~~~
ZVX blasted the last bunny with his bunny blaster, and stood there, breathing heavily.
“Right, you pink mutants of respectable rabbits!†he addressed the bunnies. “You’re beat. You are no longer to carry any weapon, nor serve another of your kind. You should learn about peace, there are a few nicegoodus bunnies around that you may go to. But don’t attack any Resistance members, if you do, I’m waiting….†He let the sentence trail off ominously, then leaped through the door and locked it from the outside with a skeleton key he had thoughtfully saved from the lab.
“Phew,” he exclaimed, leaning on the door and breathing heavily. “That was….”
“Awesome,” Zinc supplied. ZVX smiled. “Yeah.”
“Can you unlock the door for a minute, though?” Zinc requested. “Kokonilly’s still in there, plus I’d like to give some of those bunnies a little something to remember me by…”
ZVX unlocked the door, and she slipped inside and addressed the last bunny. “Alright, you miserable scrap of pink fur. It’s payback time.â€
A moment later, the bunny had turned a lovely shade of aqua and staggered off. Zinc smiled rather strangely, then turned to Kokonilly.
“Kokonilly?†she asked. “Are you all right?â€
“I think so…†said Kokonilly, though she looked a little pale.
“Are you positive?†Zinc inquired.
“Yeah–oh, great…†Kokonilly turned paler, bent over, and threw up on the floor. “Oh, ew,†Zinc muttered, then did a double take. “Kokonilly! Your vomit is hot pink!â€
Okay, I’m starting there:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Kokonilly! You are obviously not all right. We need to get you to the lab!” said Zinc. Kokonilly groaned in response.
ZVX ran into the room. “Guys RUN, there’s a host of bunnies on their way!” he yelled.
“Caking wung buttons, not now!” Zinc said helplessly. “Does anyone know how to Apparate?” Thoughts of doom began to enter her head. Then she attempted to calm herself down “First, let’s not panic. Second, let’s not panic. And third, let’s not panic!!!†she said in a panicked voice as the bunnies rushed in.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
ZVX appears to be in two places at once. Was he using two characters at that point?
78-No….he was just kind of posting a bit randomly. But it actually works–he was outside the room, politely waiting for Zinc to finish whatever she was doing, and when he saw the bunnies he ran in to warn her and Kokonilly. BTW, I’m having CTN and Baylee already inside the bunny sub, since it seems simpler that way.
~~~~
“Yikes!†CTN screamed, seeing herself surrounded by bunnies. She pulled her laser gun from her belt. “Prepare to HURT!!!†she yelled, trying tried not to panic.
As the bunnies closed in, she fired her laser at a bunny, only succeeding in nicking its ear. The bunny turned a bright orange. “GET THEM!!!†it screeched.
ZVX pulled out his lightsaber with a sinister whip. “Hey bunnies…†He hacked down the one in front of him. “Come on, think you can go at it? Cowards…â€
The bunnies turned magenta. ZVX fired his blaster into the ears of one, and blew up a grenade in the others’ faces.
Then William appeared.
He tore through bunnies and humans alike. Bowling them over, lashing with his sword, shooting them with two gigantic blasters, and generally sending everyone flying through the air. ZVX had just enough sense to duck as William swung over his head and–
CRASH!
~~~~~
Okay, we have another problem here. ZVX’s lightsaber got bent in half when he was entering the bunny sub:
~~~~~
As they approached the bunny sub, the airlock doors were already closing. If they couldn’t get through, then Kokonilly would be lost to them forever. “HEY! Bunnies!†ZVX yelled in desperation, and brought his lightsaber crashing into the doors. The doors gave, after bending the lightsaber in half. ZVX tossed it away. He still had his blaster fully charged in his belt–ready to shoot.
~~~~
So, what do we do about this? Admittedly I edited a bit, but his sword still broke in the other version. Do we just edit over the first part, or not have the lightsaber break in the first place?
I don’t think lightsaber blades can break, but some part of the mechanism could break. Maybe if he gets a bit overzealous while attacking the doors, he could bang the handle into it and break it?
80-Heck, you’re right. I need to pay more attention when editing… Force fields can’t break, can they? Hmm…..I don’t know. I’m having a hard time thinking about anything right now. I’ll get back to you.
Here we go:
~~~~~~~~
As they approached the bunny sub, the airlock doors were already closing. If they couldn’t get through, then Kokonilly would be lost to them forever. “HEY! Bunnies!†ZVX yelled in desperation, and brought his lightsaber crashing into the doors.
A bolt of blue electricity snaked through the doors and shorted the lightsaber out. ZVX flicked the switch on and off a few times, then tossed it away in disgust. He still had his blaster, anyway–fully charged in his belt and ready to shoot. He turned it up to high power and shot a blast at the lock on the doors, which melted into a heap of steaming metal. He forced the doors open, and the three entered.
~~~~~~~
I’m editing again. Let me know when you start again so we can coordinate on this.
I can start again on Sunday morning, let me know what you’re up to then.
Groundhog- I’m up to post 252 on the third thread, and undecided as to what to do with CTN–should I ignore her trip to space? Should I wait and see what happens? And what about the Sith–they first appear around now. Should we just edit, and then come back and edit over them, or what?
Last part I did:
~~~~~~
The hatch opened into a very large, comfortable sub. It had a kitchen, a few computers, a couch, a bathroom. It looked like an underwater house. It would have been perfect, excluding the fact that everything was an eye-smarting shade of pink.
“Ack! My eyes!†Turquoise exclaimed, shielding her eyes. “This must be a bunny thing! It could be a trap!â€
“It’s the only way out of here. And if it can move, we can escape and rescue someone else later. But if we stay here, we’ll just get captured again. Here, look! Sunglasses. Now come on!†Kokonilly ordered, heading off towards another hatch in the wall. “There should be a submarine through here….
And there was. Everyone piled into the sub, Kokonilly shut the hatch behind them, and ZVX took the controls and got them moving.
“Jeez…they’re still using this kinda cockpit?” he said as he manipulated the joystick. “We had these in ‘98.â€((((Jeez, ZVX, you were one in ’98.)))) He twitched the stick again experimentally. “Whoa there…†he muttered as the sub zipped to the right. “Come back on course, my good sub. Or as they would say in England, ‘old chap’…â€
~~~~~~
Another thing I’d like to discuss with you–This is clearly an alternate history RPG. Obviously the bunnies didn’t attack in ’08. But both bunnies and humans have technology that’s way more advanced than present-day technology. So I’m wondering if maybe we want to set this in the future–I thought 2051? What do you think?
Aargh! I don’t know what to do!!!! Do we cut out the Titanite bunnies, or replace them with HPBs and to heck with the consequences, or what? I really have no idea…. I’m editing again, sorry, I thought yesterday was Saturday. *headdesk* I’ll tell you where I’m at tomorrow.
Weren’t you going to change the Titanite bunnies to bunnies that were living on the moon? As for the Sith, we’re probably going to have to go back and edit our editing later anyway, so we could leave them in and decide what to do about them later. Also, I think setting this in the future is a good idea.
~~~~~
IBCF emptied out a torpedo and climbed inside of it, launching it into the bunny flagship. As the torpedo penetrated the flagship’s hull, he climbed out and dove through the ship’s rapidly closing airlock. A lone bunny leapt out from around a corner. IBCF dispatched it with a kick to the head and ran up the flagship’s staircase.
~~
Kittymine attempted to call ZVX. “Hello, ZVX?” she said into her communicator. “Where are you, and what are you guys doing?”
~~~~~
More later. I have to drive Kittymine to a babysitting job.
I don’t know…. I guess I could. The only problem is that the way I wrote CTN in, she didn’t have a spaceship, since she’s not an alien in the edited version. This is all so complicated…. Since CTN basically went into space, met a friend, came back to Earth with a friend, and lost her friend, I think we could probably just wait and see whether she really needs to have gone at all.
Whatever. I’m editing all Titan references out for now.
~~~~~~~
ZVX picked up the call. “I’m in a bunny sub with… Zinc, Kokonilly, Serafina, Turquoise, ((optional: CTN,)) and MARFwarrior–she’s a Resister from somewhere else, don’t know how she got here. Oh, and Baylee’s following us in another sub. We’re trying to escape from the bunnies. Similar situation to the tunnels. Bunnies coming in a sub followed by humans–they apparently don’t serve the bunnies, which makes it even worse. They’re under some other commander.â€
The sub shuddered from a blow to the side. Pink splattering goo oozed over the windshield. A shape ZVX was vaguely able to recognize as a human floated outside, apparently stunned.
“Pull her up here!†he roared over the engine. “That’s a human, not a bunny!â€
Or so he thought.
“NOO! Don’t! It’s a hybrid bunny! Move out! Move out!†Kokonilly yelled, horrified. But it was too late. The sub docked, and the bunnies swarmed.
“Oh, cake it!†ZVX snarled. “We’re finished!†He dispatched a bunny with a shot from his blaster, but it made no difference at all. The world was pink. Pure, blinding pink.
A paw clouted him over the head and he pitched forward on the controls of the sub. The engines revved as his head banged the speed controls. He pushed himself up and hacked a bunny out of the way. There was absolutely no order in this battle. It was just bunnies and some small, insignificant humans, who were bravely attempting to fight. Smothered in pink, a case of grenades exploded, denting the amount of bunnies, but others quickly filled their place. ZVX struggled towards the button that said “Detonate†on the controls of the sub. Don’t let the bunnies find it….don’t let the bunnies find it…
There! He hit the button.
Instant chaos ensued. Blazing explosions raced the length of the submarine, and bunnies vaporized into thin air. Fire raged all along, but luckily the humans were protected by the sheer weight of the bunnies on them. ZVX saw Kokonilly tossed into the air by a bunny, but then she fired her blaster in its face and it went limp on the floor. ZVX would have laughed, had it not been for two clawed pink paws that closed on his neck.
“Ack…get….off….†He soundly punched the bunny in the nose. It keeled over, releasing him.
ZVX fell, but swiftly got back his legs. Bunnies hurtled through the air, screeching and brandishing weapons that appeared as if they’d come from the deepest mines of the bunnies.
He felt a barrel touch the side of his neck. “Just give me a reason…†the bunny hissed.
ZVX privately grinned. Different species, same macho clichés. He grabbed the bunny and shoved it off.
“Stop! Or your friend–excuse me, fiend–dies!†he yelled over the mélee.
~~~~~~
Meh. ZVX wrote like a paperback novel, you have to agree. We’re definitely going to need to edit this twice.
Paperback writer….paperback writer…
True that. And I’m sorry I haven’t been editing much. (I’m going to try and rectify that now though.)
~~~~~
“Right!” ZVX yelled, tossing the bunny back onto the crowd of attackers, causing mass consternation. “You hurt my friend. I hate to break it to you, but you’re dead.” He slashed the bunny out of the way. The other snarled and hissed, working themselves into a frenzy. ZVX whirled the sword, slashing right and left. Then a blast caught him in midair, slamming him to the floor. Thirteen blades pressed against various vital parts of his body. “Kill me then…You cowards.†he snarled.
Zinc looked around her to see how everyone was doing. Not good. ZVX had swords pointed at him, Kokonilly had been captured by a Titan bunny, and Turquoise, Baylee, MARFwarrior, and CTN were nowhere to be found. Zinc herself had her hands full enough as well. She was fighting 4 bunnies, one of which was a black bunny. Suddenly, someone or something yanked her into the shadows.
~~~~~
(That’s all for now, sorry!)
Not. Paperback novel. I know the grammar is bad, and I don’t care.
Okay, more editing!
~~~~~
Right after Kittymine received ZVX’s response, a loud and persistent message came through: ALL MEMBERS OF RESISTENCE REPORT TO DUTY. Kittymine nearly dropped her communicator and hurried over to Groundhog and POSOC.
“Guys, we need some equipment now if we want to have any chance in rescuing anyone.†she said. Groundhog immediately handed her her bunnyproof suit and a large package of depigmatizer darts and then sent a robot to find anyone who was able to fight.
Kittymine put her blaster in its holster, and looked out toward the sea. There, relatively near the trench, was the bunja sub. She could tell that a full scale battle was going on- bunja subs didn’t ordinarily bounce around like that in the water. She jumped into her minisub and shot toward the others, suctioning the vehicle to the side of the larger sub, near a window. She pulled open the window, slipped inside, and hurriedly shut the window so as not to cause a flood. She pulled down her helmet visor, pulled out her blaster, and followed the noise. It was when she got to the door that silence suddenly fell.
~~
IBCF entered a room which contained several bunnies and some machinery. The bunnies turned and jumped on him. After a large struggle, he managed to knock the bunnies senseless. IBCF deactivated the alarm and punched a series of buttons and switches, starting a chain reaction to destroy the flagship and cripple the bunny attack.
With the flagship crippled and communications down, the bunnies could no longer coordinate. But just as IBCF finished, he heard a sound from the hallway. He pressed a switch to close the door, but it was too late. A hybrid slid through right before the door shut. He whipped out his pie gun and splattered the controls with pastry to prevent the hybrid from reversing the reaction that he’d just started, then ran for the exit, ducking to avoid the flames that spewed from the hybrid’s mouth.
~~
ZVX looked around. The blade points remained in the same place, not moving an inch, at least as far as he could tell.
One of the bunnies bunny laughed coldly. “Nice try human…really, this is no time for that. Typical heroic stereotype, that’s what you are human. You might as well throw rocks.â€
As much as he resented it, this comment stung ZVX hard. It was what he would normally call a, “plain stupid attempt at goadingâ€, but this time, he was unable to. The comment was messing with his psychology too much.
He continued to lie there, trying and failing to look as if the jibe wasn’t bothering him. The bunnies sniggered.
“Well human, I’m getting a little bored with you.” said the bunny. “Maybe a spot of torture would liven you up…or perhaps, just…killing you….†ZVX braced himself. At that moment, the battle, which had fallen still when the bunny had spoken, started up again when Baylee and Kittymine burst into the room.
~~
Baylee entered the sub and jumped into the room where ZVX and the others were being attacked, pie launcher in hand. She ran into the room and set the launcher on the floor turning it to “go crazy”. She also threw some grenades that only exploded if they touch hot-pink material. As some concrete golfball pies flew from the launcher and struck the bunnies, she went to look for Kokonilly, whom she knew had been captured.
~~
Kittymine loaded most of her depigmatizer darts, leaving the rest within easy reach. She pulled out her blaster and peeked into the room. ZVX was covered by 13 bunnies; Kokonilly was nowhere to be seen; Turquoise and MARFwarrior had also vanished; Zinc was in the shadows, covered by something. She prepared to burst into the room when Baylee appeared from somewhere. Kittymine stopped preparing and ran in, shooting at any bunnies that got in the way. Chaos ensued immediately.
~~
Kokonilly awoke in a plain room with no markings or decorations on the walls. She was surrounded by black bunnies.
“Hello?†she said fuzzily. “ZVX? Baylee? MARFwarrior?â€
“Shut up!†came the reply. “We heard about your little rebellion. CTN has also been captured.â€
Kokonilly gasped audibly. “CTN?â€
“Yes, weakling.†Kokonilly felt a furry paw slap her. “You mean nothing to us. We could kill you and your little friends now.â€
Kokonilly’s blood ran cold. “Well, you can’t do that!†she said, trying to act tough. “We… we have an established army.â€
Another slap. “No, you don’t. You only have the ten of you. Now, DIE!â€
Kokonilly’s world winked out.
~~~~~
I changed the orange bunnies that captured Kokonilly to black ones, since the Titan references are getting cut out.
WOW. You are amazing. Could someone copy and paste everything so we can read it in contiguosity?
I would post everything I’ve done so far, but 1. It’s too much to fit in one post, and 2. I think I’d prefer to wait and not reveal the whole thing until the GAPAs create a separate thread for the edited doc. Surprise everyone, y’know. Like not giving out all the pieces of a book as you’re writing it. However, you can read everything that we’ve done so far on this thread, which is a lot. And you can read the original threads, which are amazing and have a lot of humor which won’t be in the edited version because it wasn’t part of the RPing.
Oh, that works. Good idea.
~~~~~~~
Baylee ran into the room and let her grenade launcher go crazy. Bunny-sensitive grenades flew overhead. As groups of bunnies exploded, Baylee went to look for Kokonilly.
……………
Kittymine loaded most of her depigmatizer darts, leaving the rest in easy reach, pulled out her blaster, and peeked into the room. ZVX was covered by bunnies; Kokonilly was nowhere to be seen; Turquoise and MARFwarrior had also vanished; Zinc was in the shadows, talking with someone.
She was about to burst into the room when Baylee jumped into the room from somewhere (Kittymine had no clue where). Kitty judged this to be her cue, and immediately ran in, shooting at any bunny in the way. Chaos ensued immediately.
********
Earthgirl, hearing the reinforcements message, once more went out to the sub docking area and prepared to go out. “Anyone who is still able to fight and doesn’t have transport can come with me!†As nobody seemed as if they were going to come, she got into a sub and took off.
She specifically targeted Kokonilly’s call, as she seemed to be the most critical situation.The tracker on her wrist steered her towards a small ridge on the bottom of the huge sub, just big enough to fit a room in. She homed in on it, trying to find a way inside without drowning Kokonilly–if she was indeed inside.
*******
IBCF ran out of the control room and towards the bunny sub dock. This turned out to be a mistake. Dozens of bunnies were entering the bunny subs, and they immediately gave pursuit. The angry hybrid breathed flame, and several bunnies were forced to duck and dive out of the way. IBCF quickly jumped into a bunny sub and shut the hatch, pushing an obstructing bunny into the water. The bunnies jumped on the hatch and attempted to break in, but he quickly submerged and sped away from the ship, sending the attackers floundering in the water.
………….
The flagship, with its navigation and communications offline, moved blindly through the ocean, straight towards the Trench.
********
There it was! A service hatch!
Earthgirl steered toward to the hatch, and her sub began to dissolve. She pulled on a bubble breather, and as the sub dissolved completely, she swam outside and began to work on the service hatch. She blasted the lock on a low setting, and it opened. She swam inside, the outer door closed and the water drained out, and the inner door opened.
“Hi Kokonilly! Let’s get out of here, shall we–†She broke off as she noticed Kokonilly unconscious on the floor, and the hulking bunny guards advancing on her. “Oh, MUFFINS!†She puller out her blaster, only to find it waterlogged and useless. “Oh, muffins,” she muttered.
*is editing again* Check in with me when you start again, Groundhog, would you please? Thanks.
I’m going to be babysitting tonight, but will be back around 10:30 PM EST. Let me know what you’re up to then.
Okay, not going to be online at all tonight or tomorrow. I can edit some more tomorrow night starting at around 10PM EST.
Okay. I’ll see what I’m up to at the end of today–I’m not going to be on tomorrow.
Okay, I’m up to #157 on the fourth thread. This is how I dealt with the aliens:
~~~~~~~
With a crash, the door flew open. On the other side was a really weird looking space pod. The door hissed open, and Earthgirl stepped out, closely followed by at least five other people none of the other Resisters had ever seen before.
“Hello, Earthgirl! Long time no see!†Kokonilly waved.
Earthgirl waved back sheepishly. “Sorry I left without anyone noticing, but I hacked into the computer and went to some of the moon bases. These people are the leaders of the rebellions there. Their troops are on their way, and they will probably arrive by August 4th or 5th,†she said to the stunned faces looking at her. “I hope they fit into the revised plan.â€
One of the new people, a tall woman wearing a purple jumpsuit, spoke up. “I used to be the mayor of Eria–that’s a moon base, for any of you Earthies who don’t know that. We have also been attacked by the HPBs. We would be happy to help you.”
“So. What’s the new plan?” Earthgirl asked. “Will these guys still be of help?â€
“Yes! Definitely! We need all the help we can get!†Kokonilly nodded.
“Could you fill me in on the revised plan, and then we can all–” Earthgirl gestured towards the moon basers, “–plan everyone’s part in it?â€
“Yeah, sure. How about if we take these new guys down to the dormitory and I can fill you in on the way?” Kokonilly stood up, and Earthgirl and the moon people followed her out the door.
~~~~~~
Any objections? Oh, and I need some ideas for moon base names….mine aren’t very creative.
Eria sounds like a cool name for a moon base IMO. And I like how you dealt with the aliens.
~~~~~~
“A blue rinse?” Kokonilly asked. “Oh, that reminds me…” She pulled a blue rinse out of her pocket. Everyone else stared.
“What are the odds of you having a blue rinse in your pocket? Are you sure you’re really Kokonilly and not some non-HPB greater force?†yelled Serafina.
“I’m just weird like that?†Kokonilly shuffled uncomfortably. “And I am Kokonilly, but how do you know I’m also not a greater force?†She clamped her hand over her mouth after saying that. “Oops.†she said through her hand.
“Oh, well, I don’t know why everyone was so hyped up.” said ZVX. “We already have two, Kokonilly, and the other is just weld a bunch of the B-L Grenades together..†He stared around. “Let’s see it, Kokonilly.â€
She held it up. It was a perfect blue rinse, keypad and everything, it just needed to be imprinted.
He pressed his finger against the thumbpad on the Bio-Bomb. A small light glowed blue, and several of the assembled scrambled backwards, afraid that it was about to explode.
“Don’t worry, it’s just that it used to be that if you had one of these on your space, then the enemy could set it off. Now, it only will detonate if I put my index finger on there.†He said, indicating the pad. “And it recognizes my fingerprint. And DNA, by the way, therefore, no one else can detonate the bomb unless my hand is laying on there and they just happen to push it into the pad. When this is set on the rocket launcher, all it takes is for me to press my finger on there, it launches, and it explodes.â€
He took his hand away, shoving it into his pocket. “And by the way, Kokonilly, I think we should know exactly how you managed to have one of the most dangerous weapons of all time hanging out in your coat pocket. I’ve been in the Resistance since it started. We never gave you a Bio-Bomb to just carry around in your pocket. I think we need to know, no offense, but we need to track all our members’ achievements. And by the way, we only had one Bio-Bomb, which has detonated quite a while ago, before you joined, in fact. So why was there a Bio-Bomb just sitting in your pocket?†ZVX asked.
Kokonilly sighed wearily. “Maybe it’s time I told you all.” she said. “When I turned 13, some weird people approached me at exactly 5:00 AM and took me away. I don’t know who they were. But they looked quite like our Moon friends here, in fact.†She waved to the beings, who were sitting in the corner and shivering. “They… they took me away. Told me stories. Educated me.†She shivered slightly.
~~~~~~
That’s all for now…I’ll continue in the morning.
And here’s some more:
~~~~~~
“O-ok, what was THAT supposed to mean? You ARE a greater force?†AvalonGirl asked. Then she changed tack. “ZVX, what if the bunnies search you?” she asked. “We might need to give it to TGYPWYA…â€
Kokonilly continued. “Wait, wait, let me finish. They told me how to build things, things that should never be exposed to the human world.†She paused. “Well, I guess I am human, but I was taught the culture of the Moon people. So, all in all, I think I may have a longer life span thanks to their medicine –†The Moon people nodded sagely at this “– and I have control of powers that should never be released to mankind,†I concluded, looking at everyone uneasily. “Oh, and they deposited me at Earth a week later, but they traveled back in time so I was only gone for a split second. I may have flickered.†She chuckled gently at the thought of someone flickering.
“Alright, I’ll get a few “captives†and head out at 02:30. Any volunteers?” asked TGYPWYA. “And Kokonilly, you were captured?†he added.
Kokonilly turned to TGYPWYA. “Yes, I believe I was captured, but they mentioned something about ‘destiny’. I dunno.â€
“I’ll be a captive!” AvalonGirl exclaimed. Then she looked Kokonilly in the eye and nodded. Kokonilly, who had still been on Memory Lane, came back to reality with a jolt. “What? Why are you looking at me?” she asked. “Nothing,†AvalonGirl answered. “I just felt like it.â€
ZVX went into lecture mode. “Well, actually, they won’t be searching me, because I’m going to be in charge of the actual air attack. That’s where the Bio-Bomb will be sitting. Right there in the hold of the rocket launcher on the shuttle. You’ll actually be taking in an un-imprinted bomb. Did you notice how much of the plan relies on chance? Well, imagine if William tried to imprint the already imprinted one? You would all be executed for treachery, and I’m not going have that on my track record. The bomb you will be taking in,†He took a breath. “Will be fake. The fact is, it is 100% real, except it can’t detonate. So the little light will turn blue, William will be able to imprint it, but if he tries to fire it, then nothing will happen. Oh, and since I haven’t addressed this yet, he won’t try to detonate it until we appear, however, there won’t be time to kill all you “captives†because the fortress will be destroyed at precisely that time. The Bio-Bomb needs to be programmed to not blast any of you. Bunnies only.†He pulled out a bomb programmer. “This,†he said, holdng it up. “Will tell the bomb not to attack human flesh. It can recognize anything. If you told it to zap a pond free of mosquitoes, then there you go. So, we attack very soon. Everyone, get some rest!â€
“Yes, ZVX.” Kokonilly said simply, retreating out of the room.
Agrrrfishi waved her hand wildly in the air. “I want to be a captive!†she cried. “I could make everyone look like there had been a struggle to capture us, so that our story would be more believable. I’ve got some dark makeup here that i could use to make so marks that look like bruises.†She yawned heavily. “Well, see you guys tomorrow.†she said, following Kokonilly to the room that they shared.
“See ya!” said Leafygreen, as she and Zinc walked off to their room.
Everyone else drifted off to their respective rooms, ready for a much-needed night’s sleep. There was going to be a lot of work to do in the morning.
~~~~~~
I changed Kokonilly’s references to the Uranians–does that fit with what you were planning to change them to?
97-Like I said, I’m not very creative. Eria is one of Earthgirl’s alter egoes.
The other bases are Armstrong (guess why), Ingradia(just because–needs replacing), New America, Pangaea, Tokyo, and Calentria. And some of them seriously need to be changed.
98-That’s great. To be honest, I had no idea what I was going to change Nilly’s story to–I hadn’t read ahead at all. *is braindead*
Okay, I took these names from the Risk 2210 AD board, which includes territories on the moon: Harpalus, Byrgius, Tycho, Rhaeticus, and Aristotle.
THANK you. *modifies*
Part 2
The next morning, ZVX awoke bright and early. Judging by the lack of noise, he assumed he was the only one up. Well, might as well get himself ready; it wasn’t going to be a leisurely day. He quickly wrote a list of the things he needed. It read:
Helmets 1

Blasters 2

Darts 80 pack

Bomb-Proof Jackets 1

Bomb-Proof Pants 1

Grenades 15

Throwing Knives 2

Lockpicks 4

Laptops 1

Notepads 1

Pens 1

Pocket Strikers 1

First Aid Kits 1

Dart Guns 10

Blowguns 1

Bio-Bombs 1

Fake Bio-Bombs 1

Rockets 5

Swiss Army Knives 1

Communication Cards 2

Laserproof shirts w/ concealed weapon pocket 1
He folded up the list. Now, all those things were not personally in his room, but that was everything the humans needed to get them through this. He was beginning to feel desperate: most of this was his idea, and if the bunnies killed anyone apart from him…
*************
Zinc sat up. She grabbed her giant messenger bag and went to the storage room, then sat down on a crate and made a list–
I NEED

Swiss cheese army knife

Three blasters

Depigmentizer darts

Matches

Flashlight

Book

String

Glue

Lockpick

Whip

Grenades

My sword

Mirror

Shuriken

Needle & thread

Hologram projector

Heavy- duty umbrella
She tucked the list into her pocket and set to work finding the things she needed.
************
TGYPWYA rose early to go run system checks on the cruiser they would be using. He had to admit to himself that he did this solely to bolster his confidence. This mission was risky, and so much could go wrong.
He sighed and went back inside. He leaned up against a wall behind ZVX and said, “Rough day coming up, huh?â€
**********
Zinc had gathered her stuff up. She went back to the meeting room, laid her stuff down, and pulled out a book from her bag. She started reading.
But it was no use. She couldn’t escape into that alternate world, her mind had a firm grasp on this one.
“Can’t stop thinking about it, huh?†said a voice. Zinc looked around, but there was no one there.
She sighed. She was scared out of her mind. Literally.
Leafygreen walked in. “You too? I’ve been sitting in bed for hours. I was already awake when you got up.†She yawned. “I need to go gather my stuff. Come with me?â€
“Sure!†Zinc hugged her. “What are friends for?†She knew this would be the last moment for a long time that they could be themselves.
***********
“Everyone, let’s migrate down to the common room,” ZVX suggested. “We need to get everything organized. TGYPWYA is leaving soon, so any captives, report to him. Everyone with me, get your weapons and gear ready; even check the new blasters. Everything counts.†He set down a bag of his various possessions on the table. “I think our volunteered captives were…Kokonilly…Agrrrfishi…Who else?†He looked around. “Everyone go to Commander TGYPWYA for instructions. All of you that are in the shuttle, come over here with me. Groundhog, what did you decide on? I think it’s more risky being in the shuttle…but then we’re just going to set the bomb off…â€
***********
When Leafygreen and Zinc got back to the common room, everyone was disintigrating into two groups. They quickly joined the captive group.
Zinc took a deep breath. “When are we leaving?†she asked, trying to look at ease.
“Depends on the group you’re in,†ZVX told her.
********
Random Kokopelli practically sleepwalked into the common room. He had stayed up almost all night thinking about what would happen if he died. Would anyone remember or care what happened to him? hehad no family…except his twin sister, but she had disappeared…
The others ignored him, dismissed him as a loon. Though he had just met them, he cared the world for them all. The bunnies, what if something goes wrong? What if it’s my fault?I could never forgive myself…
~~~~~~~~
I put the lists into nice handwriting fonts in my document. I have waaaay too much spare time…
Also, don’t you just hate it when you write a long, HTML-intensive post and there’s a preview error? Meh.
* is at post#217 (on same thread, obviously)*
*is at post#265*
Okay, more editing:
~~~~~~
“It’s programmed.” said ZVX. “It won’t destroy human flesh, the electrodes that control it won’t allow for the concentrated solinium to kill anything other than a particular kind of skin and fur type. The bunnies are very different from all other creatures; they can’t stand contact with something that powerful. I’m waiting, I’m not ready to fire yet. I’m just ready and waiting for when TGYPWYA sends the signal.â€
Kittymine heaved a sigh of relief. “Okay, fine.” she said, taking a deep breath. “Sorry, just a little nervous here.” Then, ZVX’s com-card flashed.
~~~
Agrrrfishi dashed as fast as she possibly could after Kokonilly and Avalongirl, dragging TGYPWYA after her. “Where could they be?†she shouted, fighting her way past bunny after bunny. There were hundreds of them, swarming over the fleeing group, and there didn’t seem to be any way out. Then, there was a burst of light and Agrrrfishi saw Avalongirl whipping past the line of bunnies surrounding her with Kokonilly at her heel. “You didn’t think we would forget you, now did you? Quick, let’s go!â€, she shouted as the sound of the more magenta troops reached their ears. “We’ve got to find the ships before they set the bomb!â€
~~~
The card flashed. A text appeared on the screen. It said:
zvx, R u rede to bom te frtres? wer beng chasd by hpbs plz bom it. tgypwya.
The text was replaced by a video: the “captives†were sprinting down a tunnel, with screams and shouts echoing above. TGYPWYA’s voice was audible: “Stick together. Hopefully they’re going to bomb this soon. We just need to get–RUN! STICK TOGETHER!â€
The video was getting blurry. It showed a squad of black bunnies chasing the captives down the tunnel. Something whooshed past and exploded as it hit the wall. Laser beams whistled through the air as both sides fired on each other. In the middle of the drama that we were visualizing, ZVX remembered that he was supposed to be setting off the blue rinse. “FIRE!” he yelled.
The bio-bomb hovered, the light turned green, and it was ejected out a side panel. In the split second that the panel was open, faint yells could be heard from the fortress. The drama from the com-card was only increasing the evidence that some Resistance members were in dire peril.
“Should anyone go down there to try and help them?” asked Kittymine. “Like to direct them to the ships? If so, I’d volunteer.â€
“I’m going out to help them!†said Groundhog. “Someone take my place!†She pushed a button on her armrest. Her chair dropped through the floor into a small submarine-type vehicle, which ejected itself from the main ship. Using the ship as cover, she sped around to where the other ships were. She ejected a towrope from the tail of her sub and used it to drag the ships behind her. Then she located the tunnel where the “captives†were trying to escape. A quick burst from the laser on the nose of her sub confused the airlock at the end of the tunnel into opening up, allowing her to whip the towline around, tossing the ships into the airlock. The doors closed behind the ships, and a sudden wave indicated that the water had drained out of there. She stayed there, preparing to attack the bunnies that would no doubt give chase.
~~~
The “captives” were sprinting now, as fast as was possible. The black bunnies were firing lasers at will, ands the beams of red-hot light were bouncing off the walls and destroying everything in their paths. Agrrrfishi shrieked as one beam missed her head by less than an inch. AvalonGirl somersaulted over 5 bunnies, shooting even as she flew through the air. As the group ran, a voice came from the overhead speakers in the ceiling. “Fools! Biped rebels, you will never escape alive!†William’s voice echoed through the hallways as the group blasted bunnies out of the way with a fierce intensity. TGYPWYA was texting the base. “Quick! Agrrrfishi shouted. “Tell them to fire the bomb! NOW!†“Already did it!” TGYPWYA shouted back.
“Quick, let’s go!†Agrrrfishi shouted, running wildly and blasting bunnies. Unfortunately, there were more bunnies coming. A wave of them poured in, separating AvalonGirl from the others. They shoved her into a small room, blocking the doorway. She jumped up and grabbed some pipes on the ceiling, hoping to swing out the door. Then she realized that the door had sealed. Oh, cake. Cake, cake, CAKE!!! she silently yelled. Then she screamed for help, blasting some holes in the door. Outside, Agrrrfishi jumped over a horde of bunnies toward the door in an attempt to rescue her.
“Agrrrfishi! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?†screamed Kokonilly. Agrrrfishi held up her blaster and, with a single shot, blasted the handle off the thick metal door. It swung open, releasing a wave of black bunnies. AvalonGirl was sitting on them, riding the out the door and shooting down at them at the same time.
“Thanks, Agrrrfishi! I thought I was done for!†she panted, still standing on top of a mountain of defeated bunnies. AvalonGirl helped Agrrrfishi up onto the mountain of bodies, and they both scaled the pipes and hid near the ceiling, sniping at bunnies. The bunnies went crazy at the shots that seemingly came out of nowhere.
TGYPWYA was hiding behind a marble statue of William and firing at the approaching magenta troops. But they soon discovered his position and shot the head off the statue by mistake, in the haste to get rid of us. As the group fought, something nagged subtly at the back of Agrrrfishi’s mind. She looked wildly around the room, but could see no trace of the girl she was looking for. “AvalonGirl!†she cried. “Where’s Kokonilly?â€
~~~
The bomb shot into the fortress. For a split second, there was nothing, then….BANG. Blue flames shot throughout the fortress, bunnies froze as the solinium blaze swirled around them…
A strong paw gripping the back of ZVX’s neck brought him back to reality.
“No more of your tricks human.â€
ZVX turned, and immediately wished that he hadn’t. Behind him stood William, who was pointing a blaster straight into ZVX’s back. “Very technological, aren’t you, human? These will prove very useful to me and my troops. Our engineers shall make improvements, undoubtedly; but your original design should remain intact…the last record of the resistance…what a fitting example for those who oppose me. Bio-bombs…how very…quaint.â€
ZVX struggled, but William, though the same size, was blockier, stronger, and faster. He easily dodged ZVX’s punch and merely tightened his hold when he kicked him.
“Of course, you didn’t have the right idea there, you made it so it just swirled through the fortress and…did nothing. Absolutely nothing.†William seemed immensely pleased with himself.
~~~
As Agrrrfishi fiercely kicked a bunny out of the way and slid back down the pile, she felt a sudden pain in her chest. Something had gone wrong. Blue flames shot past, freezing the bunnies, and then… They reawoke, moving, breathing. As Agrrrfishi stared, startled by what had happened, she heard loud thumps of enormous bunny feet. “He’s here?†she murmured. Then she grabbed AvalonGirl and pulled her behind the bunny pile. I saw TGYPWYA standing stock still, a blaster to his back. He was not looking towards us, so I knew that someone must have been behind him. “The bomb didn’t work?!?†hissed AvalonGirl fiercly. “Noâ€, Agrrrfishi whispered back. “We’re done for.â€
~~~~~~
More later…
Continuing where I left off:
~~~~~~
Kokonilly had been running away with the others when a large furry paw covered her mouth. She struggled and bit and, but there were five bunnies and only one of her. They carried her off, ignoring her screams, and deposited her in an empty room. Then they hastily tied her up and gagged her, and tossed her on the floor. For a fleeting moment, she thought that she might have seen Avalongirl and Agrrrfishi, but dismissed this notion when she passed out.
~~~
AvalonGirl thanked the muffins that she had managed to pile up the bunnies. “AvalonGirl! Where’s Kokonilly?†Agrrrfishi hissed.
“I don’t know!†AvalonGirl whispered back, starting to panic. “She was with me right after the escape, but I didn’t realize-â€
Then a loud, piercing scream reached their ears. “That must be Kokonilly!†AvalonGirl hissed. They tiptoed towards where the sound had been coming from. The operative word being “had.”
They both saw Kokonilly, lying on the floor, her hands and feet tied, not to mention that she was gagged. She didn’t notice two of her friends just outside the door. That was probably for the better, since she was surrounded by huge black bunnies…Okay, there were only 5 of them, but they were BIG. With a capital B-I-G.
~~~~~~
Sorry this isn’t very much, but I need to ask you something before I continue. Are the “aliens” (which got changed to moon-people) still going to be involved here?
Kittymine watched Groundhog’s small ship enter the fortress. Then things went horribly wrong.
William’s face came onto the large monitor in the front that was connected to TGYPWYA’s com-card.
“Very technological, aren’t you human?†Kittymine shuddered. His voice sent major fear messages through her body–she had never really heard his voice like this.
“ZVX! We have to get in there now!” she practically shouted.
ZVX nodded. “Come on!†He whipped out him blaster and shoved open the door. The bio-bomb’s remains were still floating though the fortress, but the doors were shut.
“The door’s bolted. Grenades should do it,†ZVX muttered, and pulled out a packet of mini-grenades from his pocket.
A shower of blazing grenades hit the door. It exploded with a crash. And behind it was the giant hall. Statues of William and other bunnies of great respect were standing on either side. That was when ZVX remembered their otherworldly friends.
He pulled out the com card and dialed Earthgirl. A voice came through it: “Yes?â€
“Time to bring in the aliens. We need the reinforcements. Hurry!â€
“I’ll have them.â€
ZVX closed the connection. “Come on! TGYPWYA and the rest need help.â€
~~~~~~~~
So, I guess that’s a yes about the “aliens”, then.
Oh, BTW, William has TGYPWYA, not ZVX. First person can be confusing.
I think I may have skipped a bit here. Sorry, I’m in a hurry and wanted to post what I’d done to in case you came on later today.
~~~~~~~~~~~
“What are we going to DO?!?†Agrrrfishi said, a little bit too loudly. William, who had begun to shake TGYPWYA roughly by the hair, turned to face in her direction. “Oh bad. Oh, bad, bad, bad, bad…†she kept chanting inside her head. But William seemed to dismiss the noise, as he couldn’t see her hidden behind a large stained wood cabinet that held portraits of bunny dictators past.
“I have an idea,†said AvalonGirl very softly. “We should sneak in, do away with those giant bunnies, and then we can rescue TGYPWYA.â€
“But what if William’s bunnified or hurt him by then?†Aggie shuddered convulsively as bad thoughts floated through her mind.
“It’s a risk, but if we get Nilly fast enough, we should have enough time to save TGYPWYA.â€
“Where are those reinforcements when you need them?†Aggie groaned. She and Avalon picked up their blasters and slowly made their way to the door of the room where Kokonilly lay tied up on the floor.
“When I give the signal, shoot,†whispered AvalonGirl. Kokonilly seemed to be going into a vegetative state.
“Quick!†Agrrrfishi cried. “They’re going to bunnify her!†She started to panic.
AvalonGirl shushed her as they held their weapons at the ready. “Ready, aim…†she whispered with a tremor in her voice.
“FIRE!†There was a loud scream that echoed through the room from AvalonGirl’s mouth, and then the blasters fired long bolts of laser beam out into the area, hitting bunnies left and right, knocking them senseless to the floor. It only took a matter of moments to get them all on the ground, and when they were completely out of it, Agrrrfishi rushed over to Koknilly and pulled the gag off her. Then, she and AvalonGirl proceeded to untie her.
“Thank goodness! I though I was…†Kokonilly stammered, clutching her head in her hands. Then, she collapsed to the floor, unconscious.
“Nilly!†Agrrrfishi cried, shaking her by the shoulders. “Nilly, wake up!†But she was spawled across the floor and not moving an inch.
“They must have given her an extra-large dose of zombification, but something in her has become immune to it,†said AvalonGirl quickly. “If only we could wake her up…â€
“Kokonilly! Kokonilly, wake up!†Agrrrfishi whispered, with tears running down her face. Avalon bit her lip.
“I took a course in how to reverse bunny zombification a few years ago, but we never tried it out for real. It said something about this kind of thing, though…Human hypnosis can help, but neither of us have studied it…well, I did, but not that much…I’ll tell you how to. It might not work, I haven’t practiced, and the class told you how to do it…for fun…â€
She quickly whispered to Agrrrfishi what she had learned.
“That…that just might work, actually…†Aggie said finally. “It’s our only hope, anyway. Here, can you try what you’ve learned on her?†She waited and watched as AvalonGirl closed her eyes tightly. Then, after a few moments, she opened them as wide as was possible and leaned over Kokonilly, staring at her with an intense gaze.
…………….
AvalonGirl’s mindshape suddenly appeared in Kokonilly’s mind. There were two of the black bunnies holding Kokonilly’s mindshape down, while another sprayed tar all over the place! Avalon’s mindshape drew her electro-whip and destroyed the bunnies.
Suddenly, she felt like her head was about to explode. She screamed, and tried to withdraw from Nilly’s mind, but she was trapped.
……………
Agrrrfishi watched intently as AvalonGirl’s face became passive. She could tell that Avalon’s mindshape was interacting with that of Kokonilly’s. Then all of a sudden, she began to convulse wildly.
Meh…this is driving me crazy. I’ve gotten to where I-Man joins–his posts are completely ignoring the plotline, timeline, and genre. This one I think might be beyond my ability to fix right now…
AAAAGH! *tears hair out* I can’t deal with all this by myself. I need serious help, Groundhog. I’m at post#340 on the fourth thread and I CAN”T FIGURE OUT HOW TO FIX WHAT’S GOING ON. Everything went haywire, and nobody seems to care. Any ideas?
I think I’m going to ask I-Man to come over here, too. He had better have some clue how to deal with this–after all, he started it.
My solution: just cut me out. I didn’t really have much interaction with any other characters, so… *shrug*
Hmm. I can do that, I guess…are you sure? I’d really prefer not to cut anyone out…but I can, I suppose.
Yeah, I’m fine with it.
Well, let’s see…. *checks BA* I could…Oh, wait. There’s a problem. You were actually responsible for a pretty major plot twist. Look:
~~~~~~~
• 343. I-Man  | July 26th, 2008 at 11:57 am

We burst through the door. There was Leafygreen and iZvX!, with William standing over them. Hunter rushed to heal them. William pulled out his blaster. Tom jumped toward him.
“STOP!!â€â€¨Everyone stopped. I held out the box with one hand, and the remote in the other. “Okay, William, put the gun away. You can shoot, I’ll blow this up, your plan’ll fail.â€
• 344. Zinc the sorceress and Leafygreen (Jerdana and Katrina)  | July 26th, 2008 at 12:10 pm

I waited. This cannot wait. I thought. I took off my scarf,and wrapped it around my friend’s head. I then did something that helped her stay alive. “Wha.. where am I..†Leafy said in a small, frail voice. “Leafy, stay here. You’re horribly hurt. It was only luck that saved you. I have to go help the others.†“Wait, I want to come with you…†she whispered. “I want to help.†“I fight twice as hard for you.†I said urgently. I ran from the room.
• 346. Zinc the sorceress and Leafygreen (Jerdana and Katrina)  | July 26th, 2008 at 12:13 pm

((343- What the heck?!?! Leafy’s in a side room with me! She and ZVX have no contact since the ginormus fight scene!!!))
• 347. I-Man  | July 26th, 2008 at 1:03 pm

(((346 – TIME PARADOX!!! It happens. Get used to it.)))

As Hunter ran off to heal all the wounded, I battled William. He had asked if I was willing to sacrifice my friends (by blowing it up), I showed him the label, and he had dropped the gun.
Then had pulled out a sword. Why was I not surprised?
I pulled my own sword out and battle him through the building. I had never had too much sword experience, but I had – strangely – surprising skill and endurance. An hour later, we ended up in the main control room. Both of us had new endurance… however, we eventually collapsed.
“So what now, I-Man? Are we to be two sword masters locked in an epic battle until judgment day?â€â€¨â€œYou know, once my cousin heals everyone, they will no doubt come up here, and I assure you, that will not be pleasant. So you could just surrender.â€â€¨I shouldn’t have said that. He lunged at me again, and I stood up.

((347- Pair a docks? Why are you talking about shoes at a time like this?!))

A scream came from the room I left Leafy in. I wheeled around. There in the room, was Leafygreen, standing up. Using one hand to hold my scarf to her head and one to attack, she was doing quite well. The scream had come from a bunny who had his head cut off. I pulled out my sword and helped her fight.

The battle wasn’t looking so good. I decided to resort to my last ditch attack – metalbending. It had took me a long time to learn, but I could do it. I quickly ripped a huge ball of metal out of the wall and held it over him. William smiled and said, “This isn’t over.†He ran to the side of the room and jammed a button. I squished him with the metal ball, then looked at the button. “Uh oh.â€â€¨SELF-DESTRUCT & TELEPORT.
As Hunter ran in, a female voice said, “Ten minutes to self-destruct.â€

(((346 – Oh, wait. You’re right – I didn’t read the posts thouroughly. Sorry.)))

(((PEOPLE, WE HAVE 10 MINUTES TO GET OUTTA HERE!!!)))
• 351. I-Man  | July 26th, 2008 at 1:25 pm
I looked frantically around the room, and found the button I was looking for:
PRISONER/BUNNIFICATION RELEASE
I jammed the button, then shouted into the speakerphone, “Everyone, get to the main gate! Hurry!â€
As Hunter ran with the crowd in that direction, I ran through the crowd, trying to find someone. I saw her not too far away – Claire. I ran towards her. She saw me, and we held each other for a second. She asked what happened, but I said, “No time to talk! We-â€

“Nine minutes to self-destruct.â€

After ten minutes of fighting, I heard a small sound. A boom. The boom got louder and louder, until it blasted the door apart. Leafy screamed. I screamed. The bunnies screamed. Everyone screamed. Leafy wiped out the bunnnies in our room with a flame. I didn’t know what to do. “SUMMON A BEEPIN’ TELEPORTER!!!!†Leafy cried. I summoned one, and teleported out with Leafy.

((Wait- William’s dead?))

((292- thank you for the compliment! I’ll try in this post.))

((350- don’t worry. You haven’t been on very long so you’re just working yourself into the storyline.))

“Oh freakin’ bunnies!†I snarled when I heard I-Man shout. “We’re about to blow this up…? NEVER MIND! Just everyone GET IN THE SHUTTLE. If you see Zinc and Leafygreen, get Leafy into the shuttle! For the sake of your friends, RUN!â€â€¨At that, a cracking blow to my shoulder caused me to look up. William, and a force of 200 bunnies stood there.
“How easy. I wiped out I-Man and now you…the Resistance is slowly weakening…â€â€¨â€œYou…didn’t….the Resistance will stay…strong…â€â€¨â€œOh but I don’t think so…what did you think, that we hadn’t already infiltrated your troops? It was easy. The com. cards are embedded with constantly filming video cameras….ultra-high resolution…â€â€¨I held up my card. “I don’t think that’s going to help you much right now.†A
And with that, I turned on the flash to it’s maximum, and snapped a photo directly in William’s eyes.
A scream of pain rent the air as William’s retinas took a good shock. He staggered, then regained his balance. He turned to his henchbunnies.
“KILL HIM.â€

((352- oh, NO! He’s definitely not dead. He just collapsed for a little while. I-Man, let’s obliterate that post, William was our character that just couldn’t die. We can’t shut down Bunny Apocalypse right now.))

(((I think so…)))
• 357. I-Man  | July 26th, 2008 at 2:00 pm

Everyone was out. I was about to leave myself when I heard something. It sounded like some sort of sonic wave. I realized too late what it really was. I closed my eyes, bracing for it…
“WHZZ??â€â€¨And jumped 2 feet. Getting up, I saw I was in my cousin’s house. He had just jumped as well. “Was that… a dream?†he asked.
As soon as he said dream, my eyes closed again. I was lying on the ground. Someone was nudging me, apparently trying to see if I was awake.

I looked up. And saw the evil eyes of a bunny. ZVX was next to me. William was still there. There were bunnies surrounding us. I looked up to the ceiling and saw something. It was a young girl in a bunnification machine. She was 75% bunny and 25% human now. However, this paled to what I realized a second later.
It was Claire. Instantly, I felt my strength returning. I was channeling the spirit again.

OK, we’ve obviously screwed this up. Let’s go back to the beginning, shall we?)))

We arrived in a grassy field. “Where the elk are we?†said Leafy.

Sorry about the lack of paragraphs…cut-and-paste does that. So, anyway, cutting you out is going to be sort of complicated…I think I’ll check how long you stay in for before I cut-you-out-and-to-heck-with-the-consequences.
*checks*
….Okay. You sort of stay in for a while. I think it may be easier to keep you in, but drastically edit your backstory and opening scene.
Hmm… I think the latter would be the most helpful.
Yeah, I think so too. I’ll go ahead and do that–I’m on a friend’s computer now, so I can’t edit, but I’ll do it on Tuesday. (I’m not going to be on before that, most probably.)
Hi Armada, I’m really sorry I didn’t help you out then! *is remorseful* Not to mention for the entire month of August. *is more remorseful*
The good news is, I have been researching publishing options! Lulu appears to be pretty cheap, provided that you just do standard paperback printing. All the other sites I’ve found won’t give me a price quote.
That’s all right. I actually haven’t been editing much lately either. So, neither of us will blame the other.
Publishing options! ^^ All right! *does happy dance* Wow. Thank you. That’s great.
I’d estimate that BA edited will be about 152,000 words, or about 300-something pages. ( ) Does that help with your prices?
Okay…with 350 pages it’s $7.75 for just one copy, and the price goes down if you order a certain amount.
Also, did you send me an email?
Actually, it’s only 153 pages. Probly be 155 once I put in an epilogue. (Yes, I actually have finished editing the first draft. All day yoga seminar for parents=lots of editing time for me.) It’s crazy how much the size went down…
And yes, I did send you an email.
Okay… Longish story, but I remembered this thread and opened up my copy of BATANG, as far as it’s been edited, for the first time since, like, September. I still need to finish removing Roberta, as per Zinc’s request.
I could post as much as I’ve edited, but I think I’ll wait a bit. I need to get started again…
*needs to get to bed even more*
I’ll start again this weekend.
….Wow.
I just ran into this thread again…. I sound like SUCH A CONTROLLING JERK at the beginning of it. *headdesk* Wow, guys, I’m sorry. I guess I was frustrated by what was going on (or what wasn’t going on), but I get way too worked up about things. I am was such an idiot….
Anyway! I’m sorta guessing that Groundhog isn’t going to see this post, so….. [self-snip– off-blog references] I’ve sort of ditched BA since I came back, ’cause I’ve been busy with other stuff, and my friend wants me to put editing her and my Script Frenzy before editing BA, but I’d love to start up again. We’re on the second draft now, right?
