2- The GAPAs don’t mail it. They write for Muse, not work for it. Or am I hashing quotes I vaguely remember? I can’t keep track of your jobs.

Well, we have too many jobs to keep track of, even for us…but you’re correct. Our writing for Muse is on contract; we’re not employees.
I think every copy this year for me has been late. *sighs*

For a while I wasn’t getting them (I moved). After a couple of complaints I finally started getting it- but my friend in the US informs me that en gets it about a week before I do in Southeast Asia.

I have a theory. Because this issue is for two months, they send it out later than usual to balance things out. So it’ll probably arrive in the middle of May. Hopefully.
But Piggy and others received theirs early; that’s why this thread started on April 23rd.

Hmm. I came here to see if I’m the only one who hasn’t gotten it yet, and apparently I’m not.
15- I don’t know about that. I don’t remember when any of my May/June issues have come before, but the July/August ones (also for two months) have come in the last few days of June or first few days of July for the last three years. (I know this because it’s always during the first week of CTY.)

Mine have been late too recently. It’s a sad thing.
Y’know, I’ve been wondering if there’s a reason only a few of us have received it. When I read it, I found a few glaring errors in layout, one in particular, which I pointed out on the discussion thread which Elizabeth Preston (editor) saw. I’m wondering if they’re fixing it and sending the magazines out again? I highly doubt it, but it’s one conspiracy theory. Coincidence is much more likely than that.
Sorry to report that there is no conspiracy. (Of course, that’s also what I’d say if there WERE a conspiracy.) We send out the issues at pretty much the same time every month; any variation in when you get them is, as far as I know, due to the postal service. I think that since magazines aren’t first-class mail, the post office can kind of take their time with them. Call your senator and demand an end to postal classism!
