Robert will be computerless from Friday morning until late Monday. He’ll check in via his Treo whenever he can. Rosanne will be around, but she has a busy weekend planned, so you’re bound to notice a slowing of the pace on the blog.
The May random thread could be delayed by a day, but we’ll try to get all of the birthday threads started before the slowdown hits.
Things should be back to normal (whatever that means) next week.

Well, the GAPAs have lives too, right? If I were a computer nerd, I would scratch the “too”, but seeing as I am not, I will just say that in this somewhat lengthy sentence.
You know, I really ought to get factual evidence on the GAPA part, too.
I’m gonna guess that a Treo is a type of computer with Internet capabilities.
But he said he was computerless…
And i would scratch the “too” too. Computer nerds aren’t the only ones without lives, i for one, have no life and yet i still can’t do fascinating computer nerdy stuff.

I am totally sorry that the blog has gone down. It’s like Dahl’s sweetshop in Boy, which I am beginning to suspect is wholly fictional, in the fact that it is the very centre of our lives. Sigh. I’ll just have to be insane by myself.
I get to go to ACon (Anime Convention) and go to see the HYDE concert. Oh, I am soooo lucky. So I might not pine away, refusing to eat or sleep but wander around gaunt-faced and clammy. Or I could sit on a bust of Pallas and say “Nevermore” in authoritarian, slightly spooky tones, scaring the doublet and hose off whoever comes near by hissing in their ears and then screaming evilly. Yeah.
It hasn’t gone down, and it’s not going down. It’s just slowing down a little for a little while.

I’ll be able to moderate comments a few times a day over the weekend. And Robert will have his trusty Treo. So the blog definitely won’t grind to a complete halt. But comments will probably take longer than usual to get moderated.

I think it would be really long and tedious to moderate the posts on a cell phone, though.
My weekend’s busy too! On Saturday I have chamber music rehersal and music theory classes from 8:30 – 12:00, then I have a choir rehersal after that, and Peter Pan rehersal. On Sunday my sister has her birthday party..

I like Treos. During a really sad debate round I watched (one team was horrible, and I didn’t know anything about what they were debating about, so it was really boring) one of the judges sitting in front of us had a Treo. My friend sitting beside me was writing notes to me through the whole thing (and I was replying), and she kept talking about how she wanted to steal it (we were really bored). She tried it one time, but the guy turned around so she had to throw her hand back really fast. Anyway, randomness.

The GAPAs wouldnt let a thread reach 1000 posts, because some people’s servers are too slow to load that much. I think they usually cut it off and make a new thread for the same topic around 350 posts.

I read this thing in the NY Times today about how our political beleifs are formed by are social group in high school. It made a lot of sense, actually.

45, 46, 48- I actually like everybody, except for four human beings. Three of them are incredibly annoying, and the other one actually said that she thought I liked one of the annoying guys, so all of them have something against them. But I like everyone else I know. Honest.

49- No, it didn’t mean you couldn’t have a political belfeif if you weren’t in high school. It was more saying that the kinds of groups you belong to in school (jocks, preps, geeks) largely affect your political stance later in life. It used high school as the subject, but I don’t see why it doesnt also apply to middle and maybe even elemantary school

Weetabix is kinda weird and soggy, of you put to much milk on it. I like putting one biscuit in just a leetle bit of milk and drizziling it with honey, or with berries. Or if you put butter and vegemite on it, it’s good.
Does anyone else here like vegemite? I’m guessing lauren might, coz she’s an Aussie, but anyone else?
I like Weetabix, but I don’t eat them very often. I have heard of Vegemite, but I don’t kow what it is and I have never seen it. I have mostly heard negative things about it like that it tastes very nasty and strong and that it is an aquired taste. Is it actually made of Vegetables? That is my main question.
When I went to camp, one of the counselors was from austrailia, and had a jar of vegemite he dared people to try.
