I will be at camp for seven weeks, from June 22nd to August 10th. I don’t think I will get on the Museblog, but I will ask my parents to mail MUSE to me, and when I get back I always have tons of catching up to do. I was actually at camp when we switched from the GaBoomBa to the Blog.
I remember that. Most of you wouldn’t recognize a GaBoomBa if it was served to you in a bun with chips. Dear Suffering Zarquon, I’m OLD!!!!!

So, school is out today, so I guess summer starts now, except officially it doesn’t because graduation is tomorrow and then solo&ensemble on Saturday. From June 4-10, I’m going to be at camp. Then I come home for a few weeks, and then we go to California for two weeks. Then we come home, and then I go to a different camp for three weeks. then school starts. Yay.

Summer is bueno, but I loathe vacations. I always feel so…unsanitary…NJ Shore, then Mexico, then NJ againe. I’m guessing. Vacations are even worse without computers but with my sister’s friends…*dies*

I’m taking a summer gym class in june, going to blue lake in july, and band camp in august. I’ll be around and online, at least at nights, for most of summer but won’t have much time during the day. And no computers at BL *snibble* Ah well, wouldn’t be much time for them even if they were there. Too busy blasting people’s ears out. *evil chuckle*
Oh yeah, and mom’s threatening to make us Explore Ohio. It’s Ohio. What’s to explore? Anyway, i might be going on some sort of excuse for a vacation sometime in there.
Also, i think right after BL we’ll be going up to TC to visit cousins. And possibly a trip to bay city to see my grandma somewhere in there. Idk if cousins from Maryland might be cumming to, but we’re definitely not going over there, so i would still have the comp.

Skool ends June 8 for me and starts up again on August 23. aaaah.
I’m going to be at sleepaway camp in Minnesota for four weeks, so you won’t be hearing from me then. After that I am going to theater (day) camp for a month, then I’m going to Michigania, a Michigan University alum camp (my mom went to MIchigan). If anyone else is going there, let me know.

*sigh* I want to quit piano lessons. I could teach myself. All my teacher does is make me play scalesscalesscalesscalesscales. And replay them EVERY TIME I OVER-REACH OR SLIP OFF OF A KEY!!!!!!!! It’s really annoying; I’m just surprised that he hasn’t realized that it is harder for his students to concentrate when he’s all “Play louder. LOUDER. THAT”S NOT PLAYING. Oh, you’ve got to be kidding me! LOUDER! Back to the start, c’mon!” or dictating fingerings and keynotes. YEAH, I KNOW. And I don’t like pounding on the keys. *fumes*

First official day of summer for me! In late July, I’ll be off the blog for about a week because I am going to the Outer Banks with a very long list of relatives in a huge beach house. It’s for my grandparents’ fiftieth anniversary. All of their kids and kids-in-law (my dad, my mom, two aunts, two uncles) are paying for it.
I don’t like camps in general. They smell, the food is kinda nasty, and nobody has ever heard of air-conditioning. Though the two camps I’ve been to have mostly nice people. Another thing- I’m a major baby about homesickness. This is what I get for allowing myself to become close-knit with my three younger siblings and parents.

Final exams ended yesterday and tomorrow is my last day of school. On Saturday I’ll be officially free for the summer! I’m leaving on June 21st for Italy. Can’t wait! I won’t be on the Museblog anytime after June 21st until July 10th, though, since I won’t have internet access. I’m also going to the NJCL Convention in Indiana at the end of July. If you’re going to be there, let me know and we can arrange a meeting place for musers.

My last day of skool was TODAY!!
I’m going to Oregon on June 1 for my uncle’s wedding. I come back June 7. You probably won’t hear much from me then. Then I’m here for the rest of June. I go to camp in cali for the first 2 weeks of July, then to the beach for 5 days, then to BAND CAMP! So you probably won’t here much from me then either. I’m muy excited.

13 – you NEED a piano teacher…but if you have a bad one, it isn’t worth it, I practice for A LONG TIME every day, and have been since I was 6, and I don’t know what I would do without a teacher..playing piano is much more than loud and soft and scales.

I’m going to a wedding and so shall miss the last day of school (NOOOO!) and soon after I have thingamajig camp for three weeks. Then my family is going to Cape Cod with friends (wheee!). We have relatives visiting, and my grandparents may be taking my brother and I to Montreal.
1) Seven weeks! Wow. And I thought three weeks was going to be tough. I have to follow a training schedule before I go because it’s a biking and hiking camp.
Interesting, huh? Camps are fun, but if you go to a bad one it’s really bad.

25-Forensic science is the biggest bore since Little Women. Sorry, but it really, really, is.
I packed for camp today. I have a very set way to get the things I require and pack them in an efficient and space-saving manner. I lie. I am very neurotic about this-take Alison to a Target store, buy what I need, and pack it. Clothing is rolled into neat little compact cylinders, books are paperbacks and stacked, toiletries are decanted and put into mesh bags, posters are rolled and rubber-banded and the carry-on contains food for the plane and some odds and ends I had wanted to add.
This year I will have my own sleeping bag, and I am shipping my footlocker ahead. I have also arranged to have my parents ship my MUSE to me there, and a few installments of manga, sci-fi, and fantasy for myself to digest while at camp.

I graduate June 7th. This means I have approximately four hours less of school than all the non-eighth-graders. Meh. This summer, I’m going to summer school for high school credit, hanging around on the Internet, and going to Canada at the end of July. *jumps up and down with glee* Maybe I can stay there and not come back to the Land of Shrubya and Co. Wouldn’t that be nice?

What do you do at your camp, Queen J?
I always pack very neatly when I go to camp, rolling up my cloths in to small cylinders, stuffing my sleeping bag tightly, putting all my toiletries in their little pockets in the toiletry bag. But on the way back from camp it’s a different story. I just throw all my clothes, crumpled and dirty, into the bag. I don’t bother to stuff the sleeping bag, I roll it up roughly and tie it with twine. Then I hope I can carry it all to the car with out it all bursting apart and sprawling through tyh mud.

I hate summer camp! All the ones i have been to were really bad. Really bad. There are not too many good ones where i live and i don’t want to go somewhere else… bla… congratz to #14 who is going to Alaska! I don’t get out of school for a while. this is because we start late because the Alaska State Fair is happening when most places start school and a lot of kids in Palmer (where the fair is) work in it, have animals in it, or go to it and hang out so the schools start when it is over. This year, however they are going to change it so the fair is DURING SCHOOL! That’s crazy! Some of my friends are going to skip because they have pigs in the fair. hehehe i am now making Alaska sound awesome. Its great in the summer but in the winter its cold in windy and i get really depressed because its so dark all the time. I am straying from the topic…

Alaska? hmmm… I think I’ll stay in the warmer places… by warmer I mean Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan… my idea of warm is rather weird… but then again, after Tennessee…. you can’t blame me! i think anything is warm after living for years in that blistering heat… and I really hate wearing a coat… that’s because in TN we barely had to wear coats and skool got out on May 31st! that was awesome…
Anyways my skool gets out on June 8th! I am getting my braces off on the 12th of June! yippee! that’s one thing I am definately looking forward to this summer… now I have to go through the pain of getting everyone’s phone number before skool gets out…
My birthday is on June 20th in case you GAPAs forgot! I’m going to a waterpark for my b-day with my friends! it’s going to be awesome! I can’t wait! Now I just have to make out invitations….
Swim team has started! Yippee! I love to swim! Not that I’m really really fast, mind you. I’m not slow though. I’m sort of in the middle for speed… But although I’m going to turn thirteen on June 20th, they put me in the 11 and 12 group… oh vell… speed advantages I guess…

Hi alaskabird and DAK!
I am sad because I am not doing this really good, really fun art program thid summer, but alas it 450 bucks (and my parents are already spending A LOT of money on me this summer) and I would have to miss 5 days of. Plus, I need to spend as much time as possible practicing my clarinet, (which I can’t play, because I have been doing bass clarinet for the past 3 years) otherwise I won’t get a spot in the show at Macy’s Day Parade, which my high skool marching band is going to.
It just makes me sad that I am unable to balance my art and music. I think I have more natural talent for art, but more opportunites for education/experience in band. My art teacher made me promise never to stop drawing but it’s so hard to get a chance to nowadays. Grrrr.

This summer I’m working 2 jobs and going to 3 camps.
I’m working at Fareway, and Dad and I are remodeling this historic building that’s been run down for a LONG time. I get paid, so it counts as a job, yes?
For my church’s Youth Conference (LDS kids 14-18) we’re having a pioneer reenactment type thing where we pull handcarts for 3 days in poineery clothes. I made my dress today-it’s really pretty!

Another deffintition of “stalking” is obsessively following someone around. We joke a lot about it here, but there are people who do it for real… that’s why the GAPA don’t let us put our full names or where we live and such.
There’s no real thing about “skipping”. People like to skip, just ya, know, cause their happy, or whatever. But my name is actually completely unrelated to that. “Skipper” is another word for “Captain” and one of my favorite book characters is Captain Nancy Blackett from the Swallows and Amazons series.

well, this all depends on ho wyou define summer. if you mean summer-end-of-school-yahroo-sit-around-all-day-and-read, i will be finished this week. and, as i am sure is obvious, i will do a lot of sitting around and reading. though yes i do have a life…
but if you mean the season summer, as in after spring before autumn, there is only one tihng to say about that where i live:
a year passed…winter changed into spring…spring changed into summer…summer changed back into winter…and winter gave spring and summer a miss and went straight on into autumn…

leeches. I’ve lost my liking for leeches. We were swimming and tubing in the pigeon river in MI a few years ago, and when I came out, I was COVERED in leeches. There were at least fifty tiny ones that were all over me, and there were also about 15 gigantic ones. They took HOURS to get off.

“Stalking” and “lurking” are two different things.
“Stalking” is obsessively following some one around. We use it a joking sense around here on the Museblog, because we’re weird like that. People just like to make jokes about it.
“Lurking” is something entirely different. Lurking is just… lurking. Just hiding, lurkishly. In a museblog sense, it is reading the posts, wanting to post, but then thinking “oh, I don’t have anything interesting/relevant/worthy of posting, I’ll just do it some other time”, and deciding not to post.
I would post more on the topic, but I’m sure you all get the point by now and my head is about to hit the keyboard. So I think I will, as the French don’t say, frappe la sac.

I think I accidentally e-mailed them a few times, but not officially. Then I lurked for a while…
I’m back from EFY! It was so much fun. The best part was the classes, but a close second was that the guys would open doors and take lunch trays and escort we girls everywhere. It was very chivalrous of them. I know, it sounds girly, but it did a lot for the girls’ self-confidence.

This summer I am doing little, compared to what I’ve done in the past (i.e., Colorado, Seattle and vacinity, San Fransisco and vacinity, Houston, New York, Pennsylvania). I got my annual dosage of airports, though, when we dropped off my brother to go on a month-long get-away to Europe (he gets back a week from today). O’Hare is always fun. We were thinking of going to Toronto, but chances look bleak. At least we’ll have spent a day or so in Chicago (not actually doing things – getting stuck in traffic into O’Hare). Other than that, I’ll be doing a drama camp with a few friends at the local theatre (we’ll be studying MacBeth – Old English – YAY!!) and then in August I’ll be going to a rocketry camp with my friend at the local air museum which I’ve been doing for the past three years and have loved every time. I can’t WAIT ’till next year, though – I’ll be old enough to do the FLIGHT camp!! We’ll get to have a go at flying a Cessna!! (Although I prefer Pipers – they are smaller and FASTER!! In one, I got my first taste of weightlessness!!) And when I’m not attending camp, I will be exploring the ball diamonds behind my house and the downtown area, reading, playing guitar (and screwing around with my AMP!!) and piano, writing songs, drawing, BLASTING music, hanging with my friends at the mall (MOCKING THE DEMONS WHO LIVE THERE, SMILING SNIDELY IN THE FACE OF EVIL), working, sleeping IN, staying up LATE, playing Cribbage, watching TV, hanging out here on Museblog of course. Oh and I might actually practise French horn sometimes too. Wonder of that’ll get second chair this year….But who makes PLANS for SUMMER??

I went on vacation again. This time with my family, to Colorado Springs. We went camping and hiked up Pike’s Peak. I was sad that there was no room in the packs for books, but there were bookshelves at Barr Camp! I read most of Shade’s Children. (Garth Nix) and ran away from my annoying cousins.
I brought Anthem, The Acts of King Arthur and his Noble Knights, Black Beauty, something else I can’t remember. I didn’t get to it.
I will be at camp for seven weeks, from June 22nd to August 10th. I don’t think I will get on the Museblog, but I will ask my parents to mail MUSE to me, and when I get back I always have tons of catching up to do. I was actually at camp when we switched from the GaBoomBa to the Blog.
I remember that. Most of you wouldn’t recognize a GaBoomBa if it was served to you in a bun with chips. Dear Suffering Zarquon, I’m OLD!!!!!
So, school is out today, so I guess summer starts now, except officially it doesn’t because graduation is tomorrow and then solo&ensemble on Saturday. From June 4-10, I’m going to be at camp. Then I come home for a few weeks, and then we go to California for two weeks. Then we come home, and then I go to a different camp for three weeks. then school starts. Yay.

I’m taking a summer gym class in june, going to blue lake in july, and band camp in august. I’ll be around and online, at least at nights, for most of summer but won’t have much time during the day. And no computers at BL *snibble* Ah well, wouldn’t be much time for them even if they were there. Too busy blasting people’s ears out. *evil chuckle*
Oh yeah, and mom’s threatening to make us Explore Ohio. It’s Ohio. What’s to explore? Anyway, i might be going on some sort of excuse for a vacation sometime in there.
Also, i think right after BL we’ll be going up to TC to visit cousins. And possibly a trip to bay city to see my grandma somewhere in there. Idk if cousins from Maryland might be cumming to, but we’re definitely not going over there, so i would still have the comp.
Skool ends June 8 for me and starts up again on August 23. aaaah.
I’m going to be at sleepaway camp in Minnesota for four weeks, so you won’t be hearing from me then. After that I am going to theater (day) camp for a month, then I’m going to Michigania, a Michigan University alum camp (my mom went to MIchigan). If anyone else is going there, let me know.

First official day of summer for me! In late July, I’ll be off the blog for about a week because I am going to the Outer Banks with a very long list of relatives in a huge beach house. It’s for my grandparents’ fiftieth anniversary. All of their kids and kids-in-law (my dad, my mom, two aunts, two uncles) are paying for it.
I don’t like camps in general. They smell, the food is kinda nasty, and nobody has ever heard of air-conditioning. Though the two camps I’ve been to have mostly nice people. Another thing- I’m a major baby about homesickness. This is what I get for allowing myself to become close-knit with my three younger siblings and parents.
My cousin goes to some swanky British school and they get out of skool mid July and get back in late August. He’s never been to camp.
Final exams ended yesterday and tomorrow is my last day of school. On Saturday I’ll be officially free for the summer! I’m leaving on June 21st for Italy. Can’t wait! I won’t be on the Museblog anytime after June 21st until July 10th, though, since I won’t have internet access. I’m also going to the NJCL Convention in Indiana at the end of July. If you’re going to be there, let me know and we can arrange a meeting place for musers.
I am going to go to CHINA this summer!!! And go to a rowing camp. And work on a horse farm. And go camping at Mount Saint Helens. w00t!

25-Forensic science is the biggest bore since Little Women. Sorry, but it really, really, is.
I packed for camp today. I have a very set way to get the things I require and pack them in an efficient and space-saving manner. I lie. I am very neurotic about this-take Alison to a Target store, buy what I need, and pack it. Clothing is rolled into neat little compact cylinders, books are paperbacks and stacked, toiletries are decanted and put into mesh bags, posters are rolled and rubber-banded and the carry-on contains food for the plane and some odds and ends I had wanted to add.
This year I will have my own sleeping bag, and I am shipping my footlocker ahead. I have also arranged to have my parents ship my MUSE to me there, and a few installments of manga, sci-fi, and fantasy for myself to digest while at camp.
I graduate June 7th. This means I have approximately four hours less of school than all the non-eighth-graders. Meh. This summer, I’m going to summer school for high school credit, hanging around on the Internet, and going to Canada at the end of July. *jumps up and down with glee* Maybe I can stay there and not come back to the Land of Shrubya and Co. Wouldn’t that be nice?

What do you do at your camp, Queen J?
I always pack very neatly when I go to camp, rolling up my cloths in to small cylinders, stuffing my sleeping bag tightly, putting all my toiletries in their little pockets in the toiletry bag. But on the way back from camp it’s a different story. I just throw all my clothes, crumpled and dirty, into the bag. I don’t bother to stuff the sleeping bag, I roll it up roughly and tie it with twine. Then I hope I can carry it all to the car with out it all bursting apart and sprawling through tyh mud.
I hate summer camp! All the ones i have been to were really bad. Really bad. There are not too many good ones where i live and i don’t want to go somewhere else… bla… congratz to #14 who is going to Alaska! I don’t get out of school for a while. this is because we start late because the Alaska State Fair is happening when most places start school and a lot of kids in Palmer (where the fair is) work in it, have animals in it, or go to it and hang out so the schools start when it is over. This year, however they are going to change it so the fair is DURING SCHOOL! That’s crazy! Some of my friends are going to skip because they have pigs in the fair. hehehe i am now making Alaska sound awesome. Its great in the summer but in the winter its cold in windy and i get really depressed because its so dark all the time. I am straying from the topic…

Alaska? hmmm… I think I’ll stay in the warmer places… by warmer I mean Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan… my idea of warm is rather weird… but then again, after Tennessee…. you can’t blame me! i think anything is warm after living for years in that blistering heat… and I really hate wearing a coat… that’s because in TN we barely had to wear coats and skool got out on May 31st! that was awesome…

Swim team has started! Yippee! I love to swim! Not that I’m really really fast, mind you. I’m not slow though. I’m sort of in the middle for speed… But although I’m going to turn thirteen on June 20th, they put me in the 11 and 12 group… oh vell… speed advantages I guess…
Yay! Summer is arriving! My summer starts on June 16th when school lets out.Then I am going to a music festival for a week and then there’s T+K girlscout camp and I am gonna apply to a dog kennel for work.

I am sad because I am not doing this really good, really fun art program thid summer, but alas it 450 bucks (and my parents are already spending A LOT of money on me this summer) and I would have to miss 5 days of. Plus, I need to spend as much time as possible practicing my clarinet, (which I can’t play, because I have been doing bass clarinet for the past 3 years) otherwise I won’t get a spot in the show at Macy’s Day Parade, which my high skool marching band is going to.
It just makes me sad that I am unable to balance my art and music. I think I have more natural talent for art, but more opportunites for education/experience in band. My art teacher made me promise never to stop drawing but it’s so hard to get a chance to nowadays. Grrrr.
40 (DAW)- Gak! I have to find a job this summer! I was going to busk and try and sell writing, because I’m a terrible babysitter and most people won’t want to hire me as a dog walker because of my small stature, but I haven’t made any plans yet…
It seems like i’m the only one whos getting a job. I will be working as an office person/lifeguard this summer at a camp near me. I am going to have so much fun!! especially because I will be able to swim every afternoon!! I am also taking art classes every wednesday night.

“Stakling” is when you google the name of the guy you like. At least thats my understanding.
Another deffintition of “stalking” is obsessively following someone around. We joke a lot about it here, but there are people who do it for real… that’s why the GAPA don’t let us put our full names or where we live and such.
There’s no real thing about “skipping”. People like to skip, just ya, know, cause their happy, or whatever. But my name is actually completely unrelated to that. “Skipper” is another word for “Captain” and one of my favorite book characters is Captain Nancy Blackett from the Swallows and Amazons series.
I’m goign to Thunderbird Girl’s Camp in Bemiji, MInnesota. I think that’s how you spell it. I am going to have my mom, my dad, or my friend type up a weekly post for me. I’m going to give them what to say in my letters. So if you see a post from me in the time period between June 19 and July 13, don’t reply because I’m not going to be there.

but if you mean the season summer, as in after spring before autumn, there is only one tihng to say about that where i live:

leeches. I’ve lost my liking for leeches. We were swimming and tubing in the pigeon river in MI a few years ago, and when I came out, I was COVERED in leeches. There were at least fifty tiny ones that were all over me, and there were also about 15 gigantic ones. They took HOURS to get off.

“Stalking” and “lurking” are two different things.
“Stalking” is obsessively following some one around. We use it a joking sense around here on the Museblog, because we’re weird like that. People just like to make jokes about it.
“Lurking” is something entirely different. Lurking is just… lurking. Just hiding, lurkishly. In a museblog sense, it is reading the posts, wanting to post, but then thinking “oh, I don’t have anything interesting/relevant/worthy of posting, I’ll just do it some other time”, and deciding not to post.
I would post more on the topic, but I’m sure you all get the point by now and my head is about to hit the keyboard. So I think I will, as the French don’t say, frappe la sac.
If you ask me, Musers are scary enough without claiming to be stalkers.

I’m back from EFY! It was so much fun. The best part was the classes, but a close second was that the guys would open doors and take lunch trays and escort we girls everywhere. It was very chivalrous of them. I know, it sounds girly, but it did a lot for the girls’ self-confidence.
What’s EFY? I think I might be a little behind.

This summer I am doing little, compared to what I’ve done in the past (i.e., Colorado, Seattle and vacinity, San Fransisco and vacinity, Houston, New York, Pennsylvania). I got my annual dosage of airports, though, when we dropped off my brother to go on a month-long get-away to Europe (he gets back a week from today). O’Hare is always fun. We were thinking of going to Toronto, but chances look bleak. At least we’ll have spent a day or so in Chicago (not actually doing things – getting stuck in traffic into O’Hare). Other than that, I’ll be doing a drama camp with a few friends at the local theatre (we’ll be studying MacBeth – Old English – YAY!!) and then in August I’ll be going to a rocketry camp with my friend at the local air museum which I’ve been doing for the past three years and have loved every time. I can’t WAIT ’till next year, though – I’ll be old enough to do the FLIGHT camp!! We’ll get to have a go at flying a Cessna!! (Although I prefer Pipers – they are smaller and FASTER!! In one, I got my first taste of weightlessness!!) And when I’m not attending camp, I will be exploring the ball diamonds behind my house and the downtown area, reading, playing guitar (and screwing around with my AMP!!) and piano, writing songs, drawing, BLASTING music, hanging with my friends at the mall (MOCKING THE DEMONS WHO LIVE THERE, SMILING SNIDELY IN THE FACE OF EVIL), working, sleeping IN, staying up LATE, playing Cribbage, watching TV, hanging out here on Museblog of course. Oh and I might actually practise French horn sometimes too. Wonder of that’ll get second chair this year….But who makes PLANS for SUMMER??

I went on vacation again. This time with my family, to Colorado Springs. We went camping and hiked up Pike’s Peak. I was sad that there was no room in the packs for books, but there were bookshelves at Barr Camp! I read most of Shade’s Children. (Garth Nix) and ran away from my annoying cousins.
I brought Anthem, The Acts of King Arthur and his Noble Knights, Black Beauty, something else I can’t remember. I didn’t get to it.
