  1. I just “watched” this chess game — it was really interesting! I don’t think I’ve ever seen a game that has that much pawn movement (in that way, anyway).

  2. 17- Hmm… I recall leaving the Knight in place so that I could attack the Queen if something went badly and cover the Bishop. But it was kind of pointless, since mas0n moved his queen anyway.

    1. That can be an effective strategy: build a sound position, avoid major mistakes, and wait for your opponent to make a bad move. If your opponent opens up a weakness for you, though, it’s good to know how to exploit it. You might not get another chance.

      If I were teaching chess or coaching a chess team, I think I’d post big signs saying “IT’S THE KING, STUPID.” It’s amazing how people tend to forget that.
