Happy Autumn!

The autumnal (fall) equinox for the Northern hemisphere occurs on Tuesday, September 22 at 11:tk Universal Time or 6:TK blog time. ‘Tis the season (peak pie season, among other things)!

And to our friends in New Zealand and other antipodean regions, happy spring!

AND IT’S SPRING!!!!!!!!!!!(self-snips excessive number of exclamation marks)’
It is warm enough at the moment for us to dare to take our jumpers at school, even at risk of exposing our ugly blouses.
And I am happy enough about this to go on MB in French class.

Does a equenox mean 12 hours day and night?

Yes. You spelled “equinox” wrong though.

So, it’s fall at 5:18 today! I wonder if all the leaves will turn wondorus shades of yellow and red and orange and brown simultaneously?

Hooray Autumn! This is my favorite season. I love the cinnamon and pumpkin spices, the cozy fires, the times spent with friends and family. I love the sweaters and fall colors.

I like autumn. I like both the festive stuff like Halloween and Thanksgiving, with their related fall colors and coziness, as well as the gray fall days where most of the leaves have fallen and there’s a cold wind about.

    Yay autumn.

Ah. Autumn. It’s the fun part of winter, in my opinion. One can layer and wear their beloved Ugg boots, but sooner or later it will slip into the CHILL…(I’m not looking forward to biting winter winds. I mean, winter winds that bite.).

Autumn is my favorite season. Except when it’s wet. I really like those crisp, clear days that aren’t too hot or too cold.

Autumn is my favorite season! The weather is so nice after so many hot and humid summer days, and it’s when my birthday happens!

It was still burning hot on the bus today…. Oh well. It wasn’t a very hot Summer, but the coolness will be a relief nevertheless.

It’s STILL hot and humid and rainy here. Although i guess it always is, to an extent. But when it stops acting like summer I’m going to be very happy, especially since fall weather is usually the nicest. It judt needs to start acting like fall.

Yes, it’s STILL boiling hot every time I leave any room I’m in, which by default has to be air-conditioned. I live in Hong Kong, by the way.
I think it’s getting windier, though, but I can’t be sure. I mean, a huge gust of wind will blow as I walk into school on Photo Day, but while running 3K in PE class the wind magically ceases. Funny, that….

Autumn…..what a glorious season. Yesterday and the day before were both hot and nasty, but today was a beautiful early fall sort of day.
I like being able to wear sweaters and dark greens, blues, reds and browns without roasting to death or looking out of place. I love the way the leaves fall and swirl around when you’re walking, it feels like huge flakes of confetti are dancing around you, the air is so cool and fresh, and there’s such a bright and exuberant, yet elegant display in everything. And there’s an urgency too, to enjoy these last days full of color, these days when you can spend extended time outdoors and still be comfortable. You could draw, or play music if you wanted, without being too cold.
During the winter color is there, but it’s less, and you have to look for it and discover it in small amounts. In the spring it’s everywhere and busting out in riotous shades. In the summer it’s all superficial and in a matured sort or garishness, like an old woman wearing a frilly neon colored something.
But the fall has bright colors that are somehow more awe inspiring. Not quite as playful all the time, but inspiring. They make you want to go outside and walk slowly, breath deeply and think about big things. There’s plenty of dancing in the leaves too, but it’s a more solemn feeling.
Oh I don’t know if this makes any sense at all, and it’s getting far too long.

Perhaps it’s jut because I’ve always associated fall with seeing my friends (rendezvous crowd-people I love but only saw once a year), but I always long to spend time with a few very close friends during the fall. Fall always seems a time for looking back and forward at the same time.
Also for wool blankets and snuggling and crunching leaves into your hair.

      a. Pumpkin pie. Need I say more?

and b. I’m still young enough to go trick-or-treating! Yay, candy!!!!!!!!!

13- That sounds lovely, you could do the blanket part in winter, too.
