((I have not been here enough… Sorry. I’ll go see if any thing’s happened since I last checked.))
What is the magic rpg?
((The Faerie world is spilling over onto Earth, and a handful of humans are beginning to discover their magical powers. Magic has existed on Earth all along, but most people didn’t know where to look for it. Now the beings from Faerie are enlisting these magical humans to fight in their war–a classic Good vs. Evil. Each side is trying to get to as many humans as possible.
Rules for making your character:
If they are human, then they can’t have more than a 30 on the MSLT(?). They are allowed to have 2 magical powers, but one should be stronger than the other. (I just copied and pasted this from Enceladus’s post. :twisted:)
Currently, there are two main groups; one in Al’s Eccentric Antiques in NY and one in a forest in Ireland, along with some other characters scattered elswhere.))
Raven came back out of her fathers office, a bit overloaded with all the information she had been given, but now back up to date on what’s going on. “Hey guys, is Jay behaving?” she grinned at her new friends and her brother, who made a face at her. “Of course I’m behaving! They just think I’m odd ’cause I can go inside their minds.”
((Cake… I thought once there was a new thread everyone would start posting on it. Oh well…))
((Live, thread, live!!))
[Alecai]
I stepped into the antique shop, sporting short lime green hair and a full black outfit. I wondered why Alecksi and Aarronn seemed so out of breath, and Alecksi explained: “We were being followed, but we lost him.”
I nodded, still confused, but didn’t ask further.
As we waited for everyone else to come, I asked Kiya, “So where are we going now, anyway?”
((I would like to help revive this thread! It seems cool! Am I allowed to be a person who entirely shape-shifts into whatever animal is nearby? (i.e. if there’s a tiger nearby, can shift into a tiger, if there’s a cat nearby, can shift into a cat, etc. etc.)If not, that’s okay. Alright, here’s my character:
Name:Regina Nelette
Age: 18 in human years, I’m not sure how much that is in Faerie years
Side: Unknown, most likely good
Powers:Can shape shift into any animal that happens to be near by. If there’s no animal near, can shape shift into a water serpent or a cat. Always has one gray eye and one dark blue eye, and whatever fur she has is black with white streaks
Looks: Black hair with some white-blond streaks, one gray eye and one dark blue eye, very tall, sort of pointy nose
Personality: She’s a bit “out there,” but very friendly when you get to know her. She looks intimidating, but is actually quiet. (Think Luna Lovegood from Harry Potter.)))
I hurried to Al’s Eccentric Antiques as fast as my cat legs could take me. I had shape-shifted as soon as the opportunity arose. Being a human had always been hard for me. I had left this morning. No one would notice. My parents would think I had left for a friends house and my teachers barely noticed me anyway. I remembered the morning I’d found the brochure;
I was sorting through the mail when a particular brochure had caught my eye. It read, “CAN YOU READ THIS?” in big bold letters. “Hey Mom, what’s this?”
“Mmm? Oh that. You can throw it away, honey.”
“But doesn’t it seem important?”
“It’s a brochure for lawn insurance. Just toss it in the recycling bin with everything else.”
Okay, now it was getting weird. I always knew I was “different.” I mean, how many 18-year-old girls can shape-shift? But this was beyond strange. I took the brochure up to my room to read. It said; “CAN YOU READ THIS? If so, please go to Al’s Eccentric Antiques to join the fight against evil.”
I was dumbstruck. “Well,” I thought, “Might as well go. Maybe I’ll find out why I have strange powers there.” I left a note the next morning saying I was going to Tasha’s house for the week. Not that it mattered.
A car horn honked, jolting me out of my thoughts. “Stupid f***ing cat!!” the driver yelled. I had to try hard not to shape-shift into that big dog over there or my dragon form and pulverize that man. I hissed, and darted to the other side of the street and into an alley, where I returned to being human. Gathering myself, I walked into the shop. There were three girls and one boy. One girl had short lime green hair and a full black outfit. They all looked up as I came in. “Umm, I would like to join the fight.” I said quietly. The four people looked at me, then huddled together to discuss while I stood awkwardly in a corner. Finally, green-hair-girl departed from the group and said, “What’s your power or powers?”
“Um, well, er, I can, um, shapeshift.”
“Oh really? Show us.”
Did I detect a hint of disbelief in her voice? Wanting to show her wrong, I slid into my cat form as easily as putting on a new pair of clothes. I looked up and saw her face. It looked like a mixture of surprise and-and-relief? As I went back to being human, she said, “Welcome to the fight.”
((I hope the powers are okay. The dragon does have wings, but think penguin; the wings help her “fly” underwater. In her dragon form, she can’t actually fly.))
I looked the new girl over. Her powers were certainly impressive.
((So the powers are okay?))
((C’mon thread! Don’t die! You’re too awesome to die!))
The people went back off to discuss something while I thought. How did I get into his mess? And when was I going to learn about why I can transform?
“Hey. Hey! NEW GIRL!”
“What!? Huh?”
It was the green-haired girl. “We may as wall know each others names, hmm?”
“Oh. Right. Um, I’m Regina. Regina Nelette.”
“Great. I’m Kiya. That boy over there is Aarronn, spelled with two a’s, r’s and n’s, the girl who looks almost exactly like him is Alecksi and that other girl is Alecai.” ((Correct me if I’m wrong.))
“Umm, can you, er, tell me what I’m doing here?”
“You could read the brochure, couldn’t you?”
“Well, yes, but, er, I don’t really understand why I have magic powers.”
Kiya sighed. “You really don’t know anything, do you? Alright, the Faerie world is engaged in a battle and people like us are starting to discover our powers. The Faerie world is recruiting people like us to fight, for both good and evil. Understand?”
“Yes.” I was still a bit confused, but less so.
((I’m bringing one of my faerie characters in. They’ve done absolutely nothing so far.))
Solara:
I watched the cat walk along in front of me. Normally, I would take no notice of it at all. None. I detested the mortal world, with pollution and waste everywhere. Waste of food, of former animals, no less. I rarely stopped to talk to the creatures in it. But this one was different. Its mind was not that of an animal. ((Since animals can’t talk, she sort of enters their minds, and sees what they have to say. Like telepathy, except it only works on animals and plants, and if they don’t want her to know something, she doesn’t see it. Not that flora and fauna have many secrets. She can’t talk to humans in animal form, though she can kinda see their mind. If that makes sense. Animal and plant minds ‘show up on her radar’, but people minds don’t.))
I frowned at the cat. I could not tell whether it was an Empowered, or a faerie, but either way it could be trouble. I followed it.
It darted across the road, and I shuddered at the exclamation uttered by a driver. Profanity. Ugh. A figure emerged from the dark alley that the cat had darted into. A human. Female. I continued to watch it, certain that it was the same. Her mind imprint had faded, but it was there. The remains of her animal form clinging.
She entered an shop. I glanced up at the shop’s name. Antique shop. Old things. My frown softened slightly. Reusing old things meant less pollution created by new things. By no means a bad thing. I hesitated. The people in here obviously knew about magic, given that they were not surprised moments later, when the girl transformed again. I stood a moment longer, undecided. Then I walked toward the building. As far as I knew, these were mere mortals. Though my powers were weakened by this pollution, I would still be more than a match for them. If they were evil.
I pushed open the doors, interrupting a discussion with the not-cat. A green-haired human raised her eyebrows. Fear, or something else. I couldn’t tell.
“Who are you?” she asked.
“The question, human, is who you are. And what side you’re on.”
((By the way, Solara has developed a less than kind and happy personality. So I’m revamping her. She’s never liked humans, who she sees as the enemies of her beloved plants and animals, with their pollution, and after her sister’s ‘betrayal’, she’s slowly withdrawn from faerie society.))
The bell jingled. Another girl had entered. My cat instincts told me to bolt, but I stayed. This girl seemed very powerful, and besides, she was blocking the door. “Who are you?” Kiya asked.
“The question, human, is who you are. And what side you’re on.â€
Ookaaaaaaay…officially on my weirdo list. The girl glanced around. Her shirt said, “Go Green” with a little picture of a panda bear on it ((Does that sound too happy for her?)). “Hmmm…you don’t seem to be evil…alright.” she said. her voice had changed from hostile to almost friendly, but still guarded. “I’m Solara.” Kiya, Alecai, Aarronn, Alecksi, and I introduced ourselves and told her our powers. It seemed only polite, after all. She turned to me and nodded, “I followed you here. Impressive powers.” So that’s why she seemed a bit familiar. I had just assumed I had seen her around somewhere. “Can you turn into anything else?” Kiya (she seemed to be the leader) and the rest turned their heads. Obviously they had thought I could only turn into a cat. I felt myself blush. “Um, well, I can turn into whatever animal is around me. And, um, if there’s no a-animal, um, I can turn into, um, a c-cat and, uh, a um, w-w-water s-serpent.” Blast! I was so shy, sometimes I stuttered. Solara still looked mildly disgusted of all of us.
((I hope I RPed Solara okay. Feel free to rewrite this post Errata.))
((No panda shirt. She’s wearing a dress. It looks like it’s made out of leaves. Otherwise, though, it’s good.
Also, Cyara’s powers look a surprising amount like Solara’s. I’m sorry to be picky, but I really think you should choose one of those two powers, and stick with it. They’re both too powerful, in my opinion, to have both. Maybe, since she is seven…
And you probably shouldn’t just randomly appear in Ireland, pretending to have been there the whole time. Sorry I’m being so hard on you…))
((Is anyone still posting?!))
((In an attempt to revive this thread, I will introduce another character;
Name-Cyara Envil
Age-7 ((I know, but she’s very powerful. Just wait.))
Side-Good (I don’t do evil characters)
Powers-Can read memories+emotions and “talk” to plants and animals an make them do what she says.
Looks-4ft tall, red-brown hair, hazel eyes
Personality-Like all 7-year-olds, sweet, open, and helping. If you harm the environment, though, watch out. She’ll make poison ivy grow in your tents and squirrels attack you with their nuts.
Cyara is currently with the group in the forest in Ireland.))
Cyara
I was scared. First, a girl dressed in black came out of nowhere and attacked my friends. Then, a cat girl came and saved us, but then Wally tied her up. I was confused. “Alecksi, what’s going to happen to the cat girl?” I asked.
“Um…er…she has to stay here.”
“Why can’t she come?”
“She, um, has something else to do.”
“But I want her to come!” As I spoke, vines swirled around me and some bucks ((as in male deer)) came too. The bucks were pawing the ground and looking skittish. “One of you, make sure that cat girl is okay.” I thought to them. “The rest of you, be careful of the vines.” “Yes, mistress,” they thought back. The one with the smallest antlers turned to the cat girl. “She appears to be alright, mistress, though her hands are slightly burnt.”
Alecksi and the others seemed to be eager to leave. “Cyara? We have to go now. Esp-the cat girl will be okay, I promise.” said Alecksi.
“Promise?”
“Cross my heart.”
((No no no no no no, the group in Ireland is NOT the same as the group in the antique shop. The group in the antique shop is in New York. Also, have you done a Mary Sue Litmus test for either of your characters yet? I would recommend it, just in case.))
((How do you do a Mary Sue, um, whatever test?))
SFTDP ((I figured it out! Regina got a 22 and Cyara got an 11.))
((W-W-WAIT!!! The green-haired girl is Alecai! Not Kiya!))
[Alecai]
Finally, things were heating up!
“Um, well, I can turn into whatever animal is around me. And, um, if there’s no a-animal, um, I can turn into, um, a c-cat and, uh, a um, w-w-water s-serpent,†Regina said.
“Another shape-shifter… huh. Popular power,” I muttered.
I felt myself demorphing back to my usual appearance and grimaced.
Now I would have to wait about 15 minutes to morph again.
Kiya continued to fill Regina in on what she needed to know.
I turned to Solara.
“So. What exactly are you?”
((Sorry!))
WALTER:
I smirked as I felt Alecai’s feelings wash over me. She wasn’t used to being like someone else. At first, I enjoyed this weakness, but then I started to feel bad. Did anyone else have my abilities? Did anyone else have some power that would overshadow me in an instant? I had to take that into consideration.
“Don’t worry, ‘Cai, she can’t do what you do.” I felt some of the weakness flow away, but I felt something else. I didn’t expect it. She was curious. Curious as to why I would say such a thing. I realized that no one knew about my other power. I never thought that it was important, but perhaps it would help me.
“Yeah, sure, whatever.” She shrugged me off. As I lit my last cigarette, I decided that I wouldn’t tell people about my lesser power.
KIYA:
“WHAT did I saw before, Walter?” I said, glaring. “If you want to smoke, go outside.”
((Wait…is everyone at the antique shop now? *is confused*))
((No, Raven and her group of magical humans and changelings are at her father’s headquarters. Errata, don’t you have a character in that group, too?))
Raven sighed at her brother. “How did you tell them that you’re telepathic?”
“I, ah, nevermind.” Jay stuttered, his face turning slightly red. Raven smirked. “You freaked them out, didn’t you. Jay, you really need to learn to deal with humans and changelings.”
((Yep. Cassandra. I’m slightly lost, though.))
I hope it’s not too late to join!…Could I??
((*coughdoubleparenthesescough* I don’t think so, but you may have to read through the last thread for any of this to make sense.))
((Okay, but besides Raven’s group, is everyone at the antique shop?))
((I think that it’s safe to assume that they are… *has totally lost track of people*))
((Everyone besides Raven’s group and a few odd groups (including my characters, whom I have no idea what the expletive to do with them) is in the antique shop.))
((18.1.1.1- Thanks!))
((Errata, I can’t do anything really. Or someone else in our group. Please post!))
((Okay, I’m posting!))
Skye’s day was getting weirder and weirder. First there were the other people with powers, and Cassie being one of them, and Katie’s Unfinished Business being Cassie, and Siobhan being a werewolf… her head was spinning, and the telepath guy just made it worse. She was glad when Raven got back.
“Hey guys, is Jay behaving?†she asked.
“Of course I’m behaving! They just think I’m odd ’cause I can go inside their minds,†he replied.
Well, that’s certainly true, thought Skye.
Raven sighed at her brother. “How did you tell them that you’re telepathic?â€
“I, ah, nevermind.†Jay stuttered, his face turning slightly red. Raven smirked. “You freaked them out, didn’t you. Jay, you really need to learn to deal with humans and changelings.â€
“Sorry!”
“SOOOOOO,” Skye said, very, very loudly. “What’d you find out, Raven?”
~~~~~~
((This happens quite a bit before everything else in NYC, but only a little before the events in Ireland.))
After waiting what seemed a suitable amount of time, Carmen called Espa. This time, she didn’t pick up quite so quickly. When she finally did, Carmen said, “I’m assuming this means bad news?”
“Er, yes, Miss Carmen. Sorry. I, er, got knocked out…”
“You WHAT?”
“…got knocked out…”
“Fine. Now I want you to go after that shadow changeling Umbra and her targets. Bring them all to me. And if you fail this time…. you’re fired.”
She hung up before Espa could say anything. “I’ll just have to go after Winter Raven myself,” she decided. She needed to find someone with teleportation powers.
((Someone else could RP her showing up in front of Raven and Leona’s group. I’ll take it from there.))
Raven grinned at Skye. “Wellll.. First, if you like, you can join my father’s army. Secondly, if Jay doesn’t creep you out too much, you would be joining under his and my protection until you get the hang of things. Thirdly, if you join us, you will have to swear to an oath of secrecy. We’ve had traitors before, so at least if you cross over you can’t give us away. Fourthly. After you make your decision, if you choose to join us, we will go to Father and he will fill you in on what’s going on. Make sense?”
Jay rolled his eyes. Raven, did you have to go into Official Mode?
Jay, they need to know how important this is, okay? Raven thought angrily, knowing he could hear her.
UMBRA
I looked at the others, making sure the little girl didn’t see me by pulling shadows around her eyes and ears, which would vanish after I did. “I’m going to deal with Espeon…as easy as she might seem, she is a top-ranked bounty hunter for the Fey. She’s mine. I’ll be back”
Waiting for no objections, I sunk into a shadow, my hair swirling around me…
And appeared directly in front of Espa, who seemed to be waking up, the bucks surrounding her. I looked directly at her.
“Hello, Espeon,” I said sweetly, pulling out my knife. But just when I was about to strike, she managed to knock the knife to the ground…
And the rest…I can’t explain. I remember her breaking free, knocking me to the ground, her gem glowing, a binding magic on me turning the gold tattoo on my forehead (which was a focus for my magic) blue, and…
Nothing else. And from what I know, I’m likely at a coma in Espa’s employer’s base, which is the worst thing besides death.
ESPA
I teleported to Carmen, the Eon girl tied to my back in a coma, and simply nodded.
“You failed to take the rest? Failure is not permitted, Espa.”
“I apologize-she enlisted the help of her targets to defeat me, and she was simply too tricky. However, I managed to capture her after the others had left, so I don’t know where they are…yet.”
((Can Cyara be with Raven’s group? Sorry for all the moving around.))
Cyara
Leona ((I think)) had made lots of plants grow. I went around talking to them and helping them out. The boy, Jay, was really nice, but he had a voice inside my head, which was kind of freaky.
((I can’t post as Regina until I know what we’re doing next.))
((What were we even doing in the antique shop? Whoever came up with that idea should explain…))
WALTER:
“What are we even doing here?” I enlarged the flame of my cigarette to get Kiya from complaining. Instead, I felt a little bit of anger on top of the former annoyance.
[Alecai]
“W-ee-ell, I originally brought you to this store so that Kiya could teach you about the war. Now that that’s done with, I don’t really have a plan….” I said uncomfortably.
Almost unconsciously, I started to morph… and didn’t stop. My features kept fluctuating like a watery reflection distorted by ripples.
Those standing near me stared.
I forced myself to pick an appearance: a child of about 8 years of age, with not-very-innocent black eyes, short, dark brown pigtails, and a dark green dress with boots to match.
“Huh. That was interesting,” I mused.
Anyway, I’ve been thinking- why don’t we find the Sidhe army camp? How does that sound, everyone?”
Regina
“That sounds cool. Do we know where they’re based?” I said, trying to ignore the fact that Alecai now looked about 8 or 9 years old.
[Alecai]
“No idea. But I bet Kiya has some sort of magical thingamagig that can find them…” I started rummaging around the stacks of dusty, complicated items.
“Hey! Don’t touch those!” Kiya exclaimed with annoyance, shooing me away from the merchandise, muttering, “Magical thingamagigs… huh!”
“Maybe Umbra knows where it is… Speaking of which- where did she go?” Walter said, looking more irritated by the minute.
Regina
“Well, okay. Walter, who is Umbra?”
Alecksi~
“But what about me and Aarronn? Even if we can find them, my aunt and uncle will expect us home every night?” I asked.
((Ignore this.))
WALTER:
“She was some chick… I don’t really know.” My cigarette burned out quickly. “Damn,” I whispered.
“Thanks for that beautiful description Walter,” she rolled her eyes. I ignored her; I was preoccupied with the absence of smoke in my lungs. I’ve talked to people who smoke; they say that they feel the smoke lingering inside of them as if it wasn’t supposed to be there. Nevertheless, they liked the strange discomfort as the blew the smoke out of their system.
When I breathed in the smoke for the last time that day, I didn’t feel discomfort. It felt welcome, good. I was ready to hold in my stomach for hours. Alecai stared at me as I realized I didn’t let the breath out for another few minutes. When I blew it out, it was jet black and it rushed towards the ceiling.
“You think you’re pretty cool right now, don’t you?” said the eight-year old that I presumed to be Alecai.
I felt no urge to cough.
“I always think I’m cool. So, what were you saying about the camp?
Carmen sighed. “Fine. Leave her here. I’m going after that Raven girl.”
“But…. I can do that! I won’t fail you this time, I promise!” Espa protested.
“NO.” Carmen suddenly seemed to grow bigger. Flames flickered around her feet.
“Espa, I know your weakness. Do not cross me, or I will torture you in ways you can’t even begin to imagine. Now, you can do one more thing for me, and then you will GET OUT.”
“W-w-what’s that, Miss Carmen?” Espa stammered.
“Teleport me to the exact location of Winter Raven and her companions.”
~~~
“I–I guess I’ll take the oath,” Skye replied. “Siobhan?”
The wolf nodded her head. Unfortunately, it’s gonna be kind of hard for me to take an oath when no one can understand me, she thought.
That will be no problem. Your thoughts are still human, although your form is wolf, a voice inside her head answered. You can take the oath through them, and I, at least, will understand you.
Thanks, Jay, Siobhan thought.
“I’ll take it too,” said Katie.
“That’s a stupid idea!” Skye burst out. “I’m the only one that can understand you!”
“That doesn’t matter,” said Jay. “If you’re under oath first, then you can verify that she’s telling the truth, can’t you?”
“So you can’t get inside the head of a ghost, then.”
“No. Why?”
“No reason,” Skye replied, secretly pleased. The great Jay had a weakness! There was something he couldn’t do!
ESPA
I paled, then closed my eyes, my crimson forehead gem glowing.
A moment later, my eyes were open again, and I looked pretty freaking insane. (Ax-murderer who wants to be your girlfriend insane, though.)
“I found her. She’s with others, like you said.”
“What others in particular?” was snapped.
“Werewolf, ghost, telepath, and one other girl-human.” I closed my delicate fingers over the Eon girl’s wrist, encasing her in a metal-and-glass tube, where we could see her floating inside the liquid. Then I closed my hand over miss Carmen’s wrist-and suddenly we were right across from the group in question.
“Hand over Winter Raven,” Carmen said calmly, before nodding to me-and I unleashed a hail of prankster energy bullets, a trick I’d perfected about twenty years ago. When hit with one you’d gain twenty pounds a ‘bullet’…when hit with another, you’d become more and more drowsy with every ‘bullet’…the rain of effects was pretty random, and I controlled it, even though it took quite a bit out of me. And when used in a hail of energy tricks, they were quite effective.
I tried to direct the sleep-causing ones towards Raven, and the damaging/other effects ‘bullets’ towards the other people, but I couldn’t do that to less than a fraction more would hit that person.
((Witchneko, I’ve noticed you doing this a fair amount recently, majorly affecting the plot without asking, and changing people to a great extent. Would you mind not doing that so much in the future? It bugs me.))
Cassandra:
I was getting more and more scared. This sounded serious, and I wasn’t at all sure I wanted to get into all of it, and less sure of how I could possibly get out. It was just then that something hit Raven. She suddenly looked somewhat more tired, and looked up at the sky in surprise, only to discover a rain of small, multi-colored things flying at us.
We stared up at them a moment, then ran. In six different directions. I suddenly noticed, in the direction I had been going, a pair of figures. One was staring intensely, and motioning with her hands. It suddenly occurred to me that I’d seen her appear a moment before the thing hit Raven. On an impulse, I ran directly toward her, and tackled her. She screamed, and the bullets all vanished. But I knew I couldn’t keep this up. I’d spent some time playing all sorts of tackling games with my brother and his friends, but I wasn’t that good, and this girl was somewhat bigger than me. So I definitely needed backup.
“Help!” I screamed, the first chance I got. I greatly hoped they’d heard me, because the girl was recovering from her surprise.
Aarronn~
“That we should go find the camp,” I answered ((to Walter’s question))
“No, that we should sit her and do absolutely nothing,” said Alecksi, rolling her eyes, obviously not very pleased with the smoke lingering by the ceiling. “Anyway,” she continued, “What are Aarronn and I supposed to do? We’ll be expected back at the apartment every night. We can’t go running off without a problem with our uncle!”
Regina
Alecksi said they couldn’t get away from the apartment every night. “Well, why don’t you say you’re going to a friends house?”
Alecai
“Yeah, say you’re going to a sleep-over or something.”
By this time I had morphed back to my normal appearance.
“I’ll morph to your age, and you can pretend you’re going to my house,” I told the twins.
((10.1-Okay, sorry. I’ll just stick with the plant/animal-talking thing. Sorry about that.))
Regina
“Okay,” I said shakily. “So, if I’m right this is the plan. We need to find the bad guys base, which no one knows where it is.” Several of the people nodded, and the girl in the dress of leaves rolled her eyes. I ignored her and Alecai, who had morphed again. “And somehow stop them before they take over the world or something.” More nods. “Well alright then.” I sat back down, trying very hard not to shift and squish everyone. I always thought better when I was an animal. “Um, I’m gonna go outside for a bit.” I said nervously, and slipped out the door. I scanned around for an animal that looked nice enough for me to get close enough to it. “Let’s see,” I murmured, “Dog, cat, rat…oh, look! A snake! That’s rare.” I quietly approached the garter snake, then concentrated on its life aura. Soon, I became longer and my arms and legs disappeared. I quietly slipped back into the shop to see what the plan was. I knew the group would never let me in on the full plan by themselves.
((Serious revival needing))
WALTER:
Walter was scanning the room for a pack of cigarettes for the 42nd time ,while the others argued. He shot some cool flames toward the ceiling to get everyone’s attention.
“Who here knows the most about-”
The house was shivering before, but no one noticed. Now it was rattling, and Walter was curious.
“Earthquake?” As Walter said that, he thought, “If there was going to be an earthquake, and I had to pick a group of people who could predict one, then I’d be with this group of people.” He was right, it wasn’t an Earthquake. Well, not in the average sense.
A voice beamed through the (I don’t remember where they are.)building and asked, “What side?”
Walter wasn’t stupid, “You first!”
“You know what, I need something to kill. I couldn’t care less about what silly side you’re on.”
Sidhe, everyone thought in unison.
The house/place they were in withered away into nothing, and they all stood facing a nice-looking, teenage girl. Beside her were strange formations of rock that seemed to be walking towards them, if such a thing were possible.
Walter remembered where he was and what he was doing, and began to draw fire. He was focused on one of the rock soldiers, which was rushing toward him. He encased it in flame, but when the flames subsided, the rock was only red with anger and heat.

With an angry snarl, I thrashed around; throwing Cassandra off of me right after she yelled for help. And with a single sleep bullet-which took more out of me than it should have-Cassandra would be knocked out of the game if she didn’t move…
After all, we could always use more hostages.
((okay. She can turn into a plant and control animals.))
Sarah
(( can Sarah also do magic instead of turn into a plant? Like spells and enchanting things magic. I deeply apologize for the double post.))
the ‘ fake’ dragon scale from the gift shop was vibrating.I muttered a dew words and the lights died. I knew I was at the place.’ Al’s eccetric antiques’ the sign said. I watched as a snake slithered on the sidewalk. From my bush I tried to control it’s thoughts. I couldn’t control it. It occured that this was a person who has shapeshifted. I hid just as it slithered to.my instinct said hide. I hid just as it slipped into the shop. After waiting 5 seconds I followed the snake inside.
Sfttp
(( Sarah gets a 25 on the mare sue scale! She has a pet guneia pig named Marsh who she can talk to but only to Marsh.and technically Sarah makes her understand.))
((Wasn’t the limit 24, or something? I know I’m not part of this, but I still think that you might want to lessen your character’s powers.
((I believe it was 30.))
Pokes everyone one the thread and summons :idea:s
((-revival poke- Errata! LBK, Fish, Daisy, SL!))
((Hi! I don’t know what I’m supposed to do!)
((Who was in my group!? There should be people battling right now after the post I made, but it seems everyone has vanished.))
Cassandra:
I was knocked off just a moment after I screamed. I lay on the ground, having fallen on my back, and I suddenly looked up into a totally different scene. The landscape was different. I couldn’t tell where I was, and I didn’t look very hard. A faerie stood above me, looking down. I shrieked, unnerved by this sudden change. Then the faerie vanished, and the girl stood over me again. Her eyes were furious, and she had her hands above her head. I rolled away by instinct, and heard something hit the ground behind me. I called out again, hoping that somebody would come.
Espa:
I was about to kick Cassandra in the side, hard, when I felt a weight hit my back. I fell to the ground, wincing, feeling the blood well up in my mouth…
Something was broken. Something was broken, and I could feel it.
((Is it way to late to join this awesome thread?))
First, sorry for the double post.
Okay, please don’t die, thread!!!I am going to make up a character, and if is too late to join then I will use her for some other purpose.
Name: Aislyn Monolyneke
Race:Human
Side: Good
Physical description: Blond hair, almost white. Hang down her back. It is not nicely cut. She has very pale skin, and a long scar down the left side of her face. She can hide it, but it never healed quite properly. She has bright green eyes. She is 4′ 8” and weighs 70 pounds. She is 14 human years old.
Powers: Aislyn’s main power is that she can speak(and understand) animals. While they aren’t always friendly, at least she can make the understand her. She has the power to project small, inanimate things, for a small amount of time. They waver/disappear if she gets distracted.
Background:When she was ten, her family was going canoeing when a flash flood sprung up. Her parents and her older sister, Carin, perished, but she was rescued by a friendly otter, who heard her cries for help. She managed to live in the forest by the river, with the help of the animals, becuse she has an EXTREMELY bad sense of direction, and couldn’t get back to to a town. (In fact, she didn’t even know ther WAS a town nearby.) She eventually talked to a doe, who told her that she knew where a road was. Aislyn followed the doe, and she got back to the nearby town. There, she saw the antiques shop, and she thought she would see if she could sell her necklace, a family heirloom , to get some money.
Sounds good. Just one general rule – serach “mary sue litmus test” on google and see what Aislyn’s score is, because we have a max limit of 30 points.
Alecksi~
Aarronn, Alecai, and I walked back to our uncle’s apartment, planning what we would say. I was sure he wouldn’t want us going off for a night with someone he didn’t know, let alone saw. When we reached the door, my uncle opened it with a smile on his face. Good, I thought, It should be easy enough to convince him.
Aarronn~
“Hi!” I greeted Uncle Lane, “How’s it going?”
“I just finished the article I was writing. Who’s this?”
“Er, Alecai,” Alecksi said, “She a friend of ours.”
Uncle Lane nodded, “Come on in, you three. I’ll get you all something to drink.”
We filed in and sat down as Uncle Lane poured some lemonade. “So, why are you here?”
“We were wondering if we could sleep over at Alecai’s house,” Alecksi said, smiling to cover her anticipation. We all took a glass.
Our uncle took a sip of the cold drink. “Sure!” he said, “I don’t see why not.”
“Thanks!” we all said at the same time, gulping down lemonade so we could leave ASAP.
((Side story, kind of (again)))
Aarronn and Alecksi’s “uncle” waited until the three children were gone, and then shifted back into his normal form, a man in a blue suit with a scarlet tie. He could sense the children’s magic powers, and could easily guess where they were really headed. He hated that he was just another shape shifter, but he had to admit, it was a handy power. Smiling maliciously to himself, he slipped out of the apartment to find those children.
Yeah, I did that. She got 23.

Appearance: Blond hair with purple streaks. About 4’3 and very flexible.
side: Good
:Race: Human
Backstory: Lived with her parents untill the house caught on fire and she was the only person left, and she was unharmed. She lived on her own and soon found a stray dog ( the dog can eat/drink fire) .
Mary Sue score: 30
((30 is too high, can you change her? Generally, 25 is the highest acceptable score.))
((I thought 30 was the highest acceptable score. Still, even if it is, that’s really close.))
((What the heck, I think I’ll jump in.
Name: Esther Rae-Sullivan
Race: Human
Age: 16
Powers: Can teleport, but only to places that she has previously visited or visually seen. She also has animal mimicry syndrome, meaning she has the ability to take on one feature of a certain animal, but only if it happens to be nearby.
Appearance: Long, chestnut colored hair tied up in two braids that run down the front of her body. Light blue eyes, and a short, fit physique.
Story: Esther’s mother, a native Irish woman of the clan O’Sullivan, passed away when Esther was just a child, leaving her with her father. Her dad promptly remarried a severe woman named Aretha Rae. Soon after, Mr. Sullivan passed away in his sleep, and Esther was left with her stepmother. The two women moved to New York, where Esther discovered her powers. Once Aretha discovered the abnormal abilities that Esther possessed, she packed her bags at night and left the child, abandoned in an empty apartment in New York.
Since her abandonment, Esther began visiting the library more and more often. Seeing the pictures of Rome and Italy, and other such alluring cities in books, she found that she could visit these places simply by looking at the pictures of them. She survived by pickpocketing in all of the major cities of the world, until finally she ended up back in New York, in front of the Antiques Shop, where she ventured inside to steal a few items and got more than she bargained for.
MSLT Score: 14))
When I saw the antique shop, I didn’t think about it. I just knew…that I had to sell my necklace. I loved that necklace, but I knew that to find out what happened to my family, I would have to eat, and to eat, I would have to have money.
I took off my necklace. It was a family heirloom, and I felt a teensy bit guilty about selling it, but, after all, if I died of starvation nobody would have the necklace.
You could just live in the forest. You would have food there. ,a voice in my head reminded me.
No. I have to know.
And, taking a deep breath, I pushed open the door.
I wandered into the antique store. Pepper barked. I knew he wanted to go in that store. When he bark’s like that, it’s something like: Go in there before I bark up a few volcano. Doesn’t hurt me, but he’ll also bite your head off. So, I obviously went Into the store. A girl with pale blond hair, walked in the store before me. I walked in too.
“Um, hello.” I said, absentmindedly pulling my hair forward to cover my scar. “I would like to sell this necklace.” I glanced back toward the door, and saw a small girl with blond hair right behind me. She must have come in right after me, and I hadn’t noticed. She had a dog, too. I involuntarily tried to comunicate with it, to tell it I meant no harm.
The girl watched as I screwed up my face and began to comunicate. I spoke a language unknown to most people, one that all animals can speak. Most humans can’t speak it, however,so I suppose my wordless comunication sounded to the girl-and the others in the shop-like a rush, then a ping, then a stream gurgling over rocks. Only humans sound that way in the ancient language, as my sister told me. Animals sound like nothing. Except to me.
“I mean no harm nor disrespect”
“Yes,I am not worried I shall not harm”
Or something along those lines. The language does not translate well into english.
Suddenly I was aware that everyone in the antiques shop was staring at me.
((Um. I have no idea who is in the antiques shop. I am just going to assume that at least one person is there. Please feel free to correct any character mistakes, etc.))
“Can you do any other magic?” a girl stood up.
“Um, yes. I can comunicate with animals, and I can project. Not very well, though.” I decided to show her, and projected an image of a CD onto the counter.
“It stops if I get distracted, though.”I said, stopping the projection.
“Have you always known you could do magic?”
I told her my background.She went and whisphered with the rest of the people, and then looked up.
“How would you like to help us out?”
I was taken to a back room while the rest of them talked to the other girl and her dog. There, they explained to me what was going on, and asked if I would like to help them fight evil.
“Sure,”I said. “What do I do?”
((Hello, could someone tell me what’s going on?))
((Revive? Errata!))
((Aaanyone! REVIVE. ))
((Seriously…revive.))
((Um, could someone tell me what I should do, what is going on, etc. ? Please? ))
((*pokes with a stick* This thing is dead due to lack of knowledge…if someone with a lot of free time to kill and no life were to come along, maybe we could make a list of all the characters and where they are…))
The group at the antiques shop has to find the bad guys base, which no one knows where is. No idea who is there. TFATF42 had something about… a girl? Earthquake? Who knows. Any way, that was at the antiques shop, but I have no idea what’s with that cuz more people RPed in the shop, with out that happening after, so let’s just say it’s not happened. Antiques shop people: Pie girl/lillian Mikazuki/aislyn TFATF42/walter possible agrrrifishi/Esther(?)
And I think(not sure) Kiya is in shop too.
I have no life
((REVIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!))
*sigh* Destroying old character. New one coming up.
Name: Myrtle Maximm
Age: 14
Gender: Female
Description: Myrtle is average height for a girl of her age, about 5’9″. She has long auburn hair, that hangs loose around her waist. When necessary, she can braid it or tie it in a bun, but she usually keeps it loose. She has hazel eyes hidden behind black rimmed glasses. Her usual outfit is a short white dress with a red belt, striped leggings, and bare feet.
Personality: Myrtle doesn’t really talk much to strangers. You know how sometimes, in parties where everyone knows each other, but you don’t know anyone? Life was one giant, non-stop, not fun party for her. She was the leftover when partners were chosen, the one who had to make do with the nerdy boy or the dumb blonde (no offense to smart blondes!). She tended to blend into the background, go into the corner to try and amuse herself with a piece of lint or something.
With her few and precious friends, however, is a different story. She opens up to reveal a chatty, witty girl underneath the cold exterior she puts out. Wherever she goes with her friends, she’s the one who tells he best jokes and talks up a storm. She tends to get a bit annoying, but it’s a small price to pay for such a nice girl. Besides, would you rather have the silent treatment?
But, like all things, Myrtle has a bad side. If you insult her, directly or indirectly, then the full meaning of “revenge is a dish best served cold” comes into full play. She”l wait weeks, even months, until you lest expect it, then BAM! The old fork in the eye. She has subtler methods, one being “dishing dirt”, or gossip. What? You didn’t think she was perfect, did you?
Power: She has the power to generate electricity and do pretty much anything with it.
((Woah, since when is 5’9″ average?” I’m 5’8″ and I stick out like a sore thumb…))
((I am going to actually create this character I’ve been messing with. Anyone can use him, but he’s been posing as Alecksi and Aarronn’s uncle.
Name: Scarletto
Age: 40ish
Side: Evil
Race: Human
Power: Shape-shifting (very strong)
Appearance: Brown hair, tall, thin, and cleanshaven. His most unusual feature is his purple eyes. He generally goes around as a businessman, but he takes other forms (such as the twins’ uncle and a certain purple-eyed dog).
Personality: Sarcastic, angry, and devious. He has a deeper side, with a bit of compassion, but that deeper side is very misguided (that’s what turned him evil). One of his few wishes is to see the Sidhe thwarted and himself a higher power in the Faye world (that’s what the evil side is called, right?).
Anyone can use Scarletto if you want, as long as you don’t get him killed. (I have a vague idea of a purpose for him, and it doesn’t involve death.)))
((I’ll try to post something later, but I have to get off the computer. I think Alecksi, Aarronn, and Alecai are back at the shop by now, so they’re now in the general mix of the antique shop people.))
((I’m back! Sorry, I just was really confused for a while. I’ll try to do better…
63- I would have to agree with Beedle. I’m 5’6-ish, and I’m usually one of the tallest around.))
Cassandra:
I heard a shriek behind me. I tried to push myself back to my feet, but I was still to winded.
A second try, and I managed to get to my knees. I stumbled up again, turning to face the girl who had attacked me.
((Thanks; but we still need someone to come back-Espa needs a reason to be injured.))
((I’m 5’1. I stick out like a black eye.))
” Sure what do I do?” The girl who spoke to my dog said.
” Wait a minute. Before I jump on this ‘ Save the world’ bandwagon, can you at least tell me who you are?”
” Um, my name is Aislyn.” she said.
” Okay, mine is Lillian. And, I can walk on water and fire. That’s how I- ahem- survived to fire that killed my family.”

HARRY
I continued to walk through the forest until I saw what looked like a base camp in the distance. Not knowing what else I should do, I walked in. Everyone spared me a brief glance at the least I passed. In addition to humans, I could see a few fairies. Some of them were very humanoid – others, not so much.
Then the girl I had seen recently exited out of a tent and started when she saw me. For a few seconds, we started at each other, then she nodded to another side of the camp and said stiffly, “Well, come on – we need to get you some training.”
