So I’m wondering… Would it be theoretically possible to play a chess game more or less instantaneously? As in, I make a move, you move, I move again, without much of a pause in between. Obviously a bit for ‘posting the move to the blog’ but other then that?
I’m also wondering how it would work. I suppose you’d have to refresh it every few minutes, unless it updates itself… But I doubt that.
That’s exactly would a game would be like, if you were both logged in and posting moves at the same time and if you regularly refreshed your browsers.
Cool. So if you arranged a time when you were both on, you could play a good portion of a game right there, rather then waiting weeks upon weeks.
That’s right. The game could march along handily if both players wanted it to.
I’d be good with that, as long as we can arrange a time.
Right. I need to do school right now, but I’ll be on again later. Maybe we can arrange a time then?
Sure.
Don’t mean to be a pain Errata, but would you mind moving?
Errata has moved.
Oh yay! Thanks Errata!
Sorry, I didn’t have computer access for some days, and before that I just plain forgot.
Keiffer! Your move!
Hi! Sorry. *says same thing I said on my other chess game*
Sorry I took so long noticing you’d moved…
Errata — Your turn to move.
Cake! I didn’t mean to move there!
Ah well. I’ll be more careful next time.
Keiffer?
Sorry, Errata! Moved now!
Quite all right. Am about to move!
Right, I’m back. Sorry about the delay.
Cake, that was a stupid last move.
Errata! Your weekly wakeup call!
I’m sorry, I haven’t been doing nearly so well with this since my computer crashed.
Keiffer, it’s been your move for a while.
Yep. Moving now. I’ve been on vacation for two weeks with no internet! So I hadn’t noticed.
Most recent move: July 12.
Sorry…
