  1. First post?

Didn’t the whole phenomenon start ages ago with Alice and Fiddler? Anyways, my other half and I realized a few months ago that we might as well be blog sisters. Somebody (not one of us, Piggy maybe?) coined the term Spelluna, and it kind of stuck. Then, we decided we were a goddess. Then, we decided to drive everyone crazy. :)

    1. You jerk!!!!!!! You stole my first post. Well, actually, really, you didn’t I suppose, since RtH and Silver Lining still got here before me, but….Still. Evil other half.

    2. Hehe, you certainly have achieved your most recent plot.

I wonder if phytes will think you’re actually the same person…

  2. A very strange phenomenon indeed, Robert. :D I think the only official ones so far are SudoLadus, Keiffer Lining and Pseudohemlock.

    First post?

    1. Um, the only official ones are Sudo/Enc, You/Keiffer, and Pseudo/Fireh? What happened to the Spelluna? We were ‘blog sisters long before any of y’all. Not to mention Midnight Fiddler and Alice.

  3. Speller and Luna, the two of us. We’re ‘blog sisters. It works quite nicely, actually, as we’ve both got similar obsessions…..Luna with the TW/DW and still a bit of the HP, and not madly obsessed with Buffy, but enjoying it and obsessing over the hotness of Spike with Speller. And of course there’s Speller with the Buffy obsession (and still a bit of the HP), who has promised Luna she will watch DW/TW one of these days, and then can obsess over it with her.

And of course Luna has always thought it would be nice to have a little sister, and Speller has always thought it would be nice to have an older sister, so……Yup.

    ‘blog sisters. ‘Tis great fun.

  4. I’m pretty sure that there’s no doubt in anyone’s mind that Fiddler and I are blog twins. If she wasn’t so much older than me (and all the way across the continent), I might suspect that we were separated at birth or something.

  5. I’m pretty sure the only blog sibling I’ve ever had is Kokonilly (who never comes on anymore :( ). Good times!

  6. I don’t really have a blog sibling… closest I get is Alice, but she’s already Midnight Fiddler’s blister. (The male form is blother.)

    1. I have an idea: we could make the largest combined entity on MB! We could start as RainbowZinc and add more people who want to join.

  7. I don’t have a blog sibling- one of me is terrifying enough, I think.

Spelluna- Aren’t you technically one person in two bodies?

  8. I don’t know who my blog sibling is….I’m pretty “in the dark” about all of you guys, so I’ll tell about myself, and you can figure it out. I’m not obsessed with Buffy, but I am with Pokemon. I love video games, particularly fantasy ones, and I really like being with animals. I also love water, and my SDL for this year is scuba diving. I think that about covers it. :D Oh, and POSOC, could it be blogsters and blogthers? That doesn’t sound as nasty.

      1. That’s kind of my opinion too. If you need to actually think about who your blog twin is, you probably don’t have one.

        1. With Sudo and I, it just sorta happened.

With Keiffer and Silver Lining, I suggested it.

With Luna and Speller, they… just merged.

I think that it comes about as a blog occurrence, rather than something you look for.

          1. Yes, that’s what I meant. It’s the difference between saying “We’re like twins!” and saying “I want a twin.”

    1. Ooh! You’re like my blogsister! I love all of those things too! Maybe I-Man is my twin brother, and you’re my sister. Or something like that.

    2. I’ve started identifying with you recently… I’ve never mentioned this before, but even if we are still different, (I’ve never done anything with Pokemon, I like animals, but wouldn’t list that if I tried to describe myself) I see similarities too. First and foremost is a shared love of RPGs. I love fantasy, though I generally see a video game as a video game.
Though now I think about it, most of my favorite video games are fantasy. Hm.
Anyway, as for water, I was in Synchronized Swimming for two years, does that count?

  12. I lack a blog sibling as well. *sympathizes with all the other single musebloggers* This might be because I haven’t been back long enough to get back into the groove of things…Hey, maybe we can have fraternal twins on MB, with people who aren’t exactly alike but want a sibling anyway. Or would that be just awkward?

    Pie 0
    Squid 0
    1. If you want too, I’m sure you can find someone. Personnally… I don’t really mind being ‘single’. If I met someone just like me, we’d prolly both run away at warp speed XD

        1. Sorry, I’m here. Didn’t you get my telepathic message? ;)

Indeed, the SWATSTARRX (Or, as I like to say, the SSX) is official. (X being the Unknown…) Of course, we’ve been communicating telepathically since birth and knew it all along, but we’ve just begun to come out into the open about this.

              1. I didn’t think about it that way…never mind.

                1. Hmm…well, of course, we could have the same avatar and same names, but I hate to copy….but the same avatars…that’s an idea. *thinks*

Do you have an image in mind that we could both find easily? I could always try to find a picture of a star wrapped in a towel – there’s so much on the Internet, you can find practically anything….

  13. Y’know what I think about this?
We’re all one big family on the MB (with the GAPAs as parents, of course) so we’re all of us blog siblings. It’s just that some of us are like identical twins. *smile*
That’s my take on it, at least.
And now I want to write a story about the MB family, if it was in real life. Any volunteers?

                    1. YEAHHH!
And I’d be the slightly older sibling who’s putting MIKA, EE, and David Bowie songs on everyone’s ipods, running away from dogs like they’re three-headed monsters, and wreaking havoc-
When not walking up to random mirrors and chanting “Mirror, mirror, on the wall- who’s the strangest of them all?”

We would definetely be the awesomest family ever.

                      Squid 0
                    2. And I’d be the grumpy, even older sister who runs around stealing books and locking them in her room (‘I have a hostage!’) XD

                    3. (We are triplets. Enough said~)
One third of the triplets would like to say that the Mika songs are completely welcome to stay on her iPod, but the others are not (she shall also help fireh wreak havoc, because that’s almost as fun as chaos). She would also like to proclaim that she takes control of Japan when the world is taken over by the Musers, and will share it with another third of the triplets, and possibly fireh. So the manga will never be taken by bookgirl.

    3. I’ll be in it! I’ll be in it! Me me me!
Teehee, this sounds like a very dysfunctional family… Piggy and Elias and Cromwell would constantly be arguing about everything, and Pseudonym and Keiffer and Silver Lining would be fantasizing about George, and Speller and Luna would be telling everyone to move out of the way of the TV so they could watch DW/TW/Buffy…

      Pie 0

      1. And you, Enc, and me would be running around wreaking havoc. I like this image. :P

I started writing a story about the Embi family.
Since there’s so many of us, there’s a list of names posted up on the refrigerator that everyone calls the “Who’s Here” list, and the house is so big that there’s a map beside the list of names that they call the “What’s Here” map.
        I’m having fun.

Random quote from the Embi chronicles:
“But why isn’t Zaphod the main character? I mean- say it with me-”
“He’s got two heads, three arms, and is a totally awesome dude.”

          One big happy family….

          1. :) I’m glad you like it.

Another excerpt, which probably should be on the Muse Fanfiction thread.

Fireh walked into the kitchen as Witch (Witchneko) was screaming at Sudo. “GIVE ME BACK THE MAPLE SYRUP!”. Sudo had stolen the maple syrup, and was attempting to pour it on one of the cats. Witch was chasing him around the room, followed by Princess_Magnolia with a peeler*. Enc, meanwhile, was throwing waffles at his twin. SilverLining, Keiffer, and Pseudo were singing Beatles songs in harmony, and several of the siblings who played instruments were in the hall producing a beautiful dischordia. Aunt Rebecca was making whipped cream for the evenings Pies, while Aunt Rosanne made the piecrusts. Both Uncles were at the table trying to read the papers. Piggy and Elias were arguing about something as usual, and RoseQuartz was in the middle of the room trying to balance on her toes, getting knocked over frequently. Fireh contemplated this scene happily, and started throwing pancakes at Sudo in an effort to slow him down so he would be caught. All in all, your average morning breakfast time in The Woven Beyond.

            *See SSSSs.

            1. Don’t forget this part…

At the same time, I-Man and muselover were wrestling over the video game controller, while LittleBasementKitten shook her head and went back to trying to capture a Magikarp.

                  1. Oh. Yeah, no one likes Magikarp. Or Feebas. I think the makers of Pokemon did that on purpose, make really sucky pokemon that evolve into really, um, not-sucky pokemon. :D

                    Squid 0
                    1. It’s unfair how Feebas is so rare. I mean, it’s hard to get it to evolve either way, so why make it hard to catch? (We should probably move this discussion to Computer and Video Games, come to think of it…)

                      Squid 0
            2. Although one third of this, Cat, argues that the reason she chased her boyfriend around the room was because she didn’t feel like trying to balance on her toes like another third (she does gymnastics-not balancing on her toes like Stone) and that was her favorite cat, Derpraline, with the pointing-in-opposite-direction eyes! (Derp is also a ball of honey-blond kitten fluff. And a Persian. But it doesn’t matter…)

And then the Cat asks how exactly she’s part of these triplets, as the other halves are both older than she is. And Stone and Bubblegum don’t answer.

              Pie 0
              Squid 0
                1. Our Stone third wonders this also, since she’s the oldest…. and wait, how is she twins with two people younger than her? Oh well.

((I’m RQ, the person who just posted was Witchneko, our other third is Deathbringer. XD))

The one year that I went to Girl Scout camp without my troop (horrible experience, but not really the camp’s fault), the prayers made me really uncomfortable because I knew I wasn’t religious, but these were songs! 18. I think my blog family of people I only know on MB (I have an actual, flesh and blood friend lurking around here somewhere….)

I think Spelluna (particularly the Luna bit) as my cousins, esp. with Doctor Who but kind of just in general…Luna is even around the age of my cousins and from the same state…. ahh, coninsidinces. (yes, I am realitively sure I’m not actually related to Luna.)

I think Soccer Starr is the closest I have to a blog sibling,

And I think of Beavo (where is he, anyway?) as a bit of an older, distant relation.

    And then, since it’s museblog we’re all blog-related somehow…

      1. Awesome. It’s kind of ironic because I probably know you better than I know some of my cousins….they’re either 4,5,or 6 years older than me, none of them live anywhere near where I do, and between my little sister and my parents I don’t actually really get to meaningfully talk to them all that much.

  23. I don’t know if I want a blog-sibling or not. I also don’t know if I’m similar to anyone else on the blog. I guess I could post some of my characteristics, but I’m not sure – Aargh! Curse you indecisiveness!

  24. 5~ “So much older”? Only a year, love! ;)
8~ You can be a brother! There are families with more than two siblings.

This thread grew quite fast.

Oh, by the by Alice, have you made any headway convincing your mother you need to go to Chicago in August?

  25. jadestone and I already came to the conclusion that we are long lost sisters I think…and like Pan said I do feel really close to several people here!

GAPAs are the cool aunts and uncles that you always want to see and that give you trinkets and glass baubles from their far off travels through randomosity.

…but then we are all part of the same intergalactic squid pod aren’t we?

    Pie 0
    Squid 0
    1. Ooh, pick me, pick me!
So who are the random people that post four times and then leave?
…Maybe next-door neighbors. Or foster children. Probably foster children.
And those who are constantly PoPo and won’t see the point of this place and keep offending/irritating everybody *coughAJARcough* are the young annoying siblings.

      Pie 0
      Squid 0
        1. Not a bad idea.
Maybe the ones that stay for a while, but not a really long time, and more than four or five, would be foster children.

          1. Quite a few of our regular MBers have said they originally posted once or a few times then returned months later, so I don’t think you can know who someone will turn out to be. We’re all Musers here (even if some technically don’t read Muse), and in every family there are some relatives you never really get a chance to know.

            Pie 0
            Squid 0
            1. That’s for sure…..Like one of my aunts and her three kids. I’ve never met the kids (well, I say “kids”, but they’re all older than me), and only met my aunt one time. That was when I was 7, at grandpa’s funeral. That was the first (and last) time I ever met her…..

Of course, I have a biological blog sibling (namely Groundhog), but that’s not what this thread is about.
I suppose my problem is that I’m really only on BA, so I don’t know that many more MBers, thus finding a Blog Sibling is rather difficult. Ah, well.

      Pie 0
      Squid 0
      1. It’s kind of funny/strange since I know CTN (who changed her name to Cskia but will always be CTN to me) in real life. So, do blog siblings work like real siblings? If so, would that make Cskia and me blogsters too? Wow, strange thought.

        Pie 0
        Squid 0
  40. Hey, I’ve never seen this thread before. Well, Cat’s Eye and I certainly seem like blogtwins. And I think of Alice (and other oldbies too, she’s just the one that comes to mind) like my older sister. :)

By the way, one of the people described in 35.2.1.2.1 is me…be nice to one-posters, everybody!

    Pie 0
    Squid 0
  41. I just remembered this thread, and I have a question. How realistic are blog relations? For instance, LBK is my blogsister and CT- I mean, Cskia’s blogsister. Does that mean Cskia and I are blogsisters by default? (That is still such a weird thought.)

And for a less conventional question, how does clone-dom relate to all of this? Are clones related to each other’s relations? (I don’t think they would be, but it never hurts to ask.)

    Pie 0
    Squid 0
  42. You might be. We’re all related anyway; this system is just for finding out how. Not all sisters have to act like it…
If Mago Berry is your clone, she’d have the same amount of DNA shared with your siblings as you, so yes, she’d be technically related to them, but since she had different life experiences from you, she might not act as similar to LBK as you…

    Pie 0
    Squid 0
    1. But if she’s my blogclone, she’s just like me. So wouldn’t she act as much like LBK as me? Also, clones can have different parents (sort of) so does that even count?

Also, DOES that make Cskia and me blogsisters?? 8O

Maybe we need a term for people who are only related by default? Like semi, or something? For instance, I’m blogsister with LBK, and LBK is blogsisters with Cskia, so Cskia and I are semi-blogsisters? (Even that seems strange to me.)

      Pie 0
      Squid 0
        1. Of course I don’t mind! I’m honoured!

I’m 15, so 14 is not that much younger. And you aren’t immature!

          Pie 0
          Squid 0
    1. SBF, you’re much funnier than I am. I don’t think I would deserve to be your blog sibling. (And are you going to marry me, hmmm? :D)

      Pie 0
      Squid 0
        1. That would make LBK (*C’s blogsister) Enc and Fireh’s aunt by marriage, yes? That would make Random (LBK’s blogsister, *C’s quasi-blogsister) their… quasi-aunt by marriage? Then what’s Mago (Random’s clone)? Their… quasi-quasi-aunt by marriage?

          Pie 0
          Squid 0
        1. You think. :D

I recall someone mentioning that MuseBlog is one big polygamous marriage. (If not married, engaged.) Wait, if I marry SBF, what would my relation to Piggy be?

          Pie 0
          Squid 0
          1. Well, polygamous marriages do exist. There are many forms. Sometimes the relationship is like the one between siblings; sometimes it’s more like colleagues. It depends largely on the purpose of marriage. I don’t think there’s an official name for it, though. For now, let’s just say you’re fellow spouses of sbf.

            Pie 0
            Squid 0
  43. I’m just going to point out here that the blog family has warped a bit since this thread started… Enc and I are twins with Piggy and Bookgirl as our parents, et cetera.

    Pie 0

  44. I’m either marrying or adopting Choklit Orange, I can’t remember what we decided on eventually. The practical aim was to get her EU citizenship, I believe.

    Pie 0

        Pie 0
        Squid 0
      2. But aren’t you SudoRandom’s older sister? And I believe en is bliblings with Enc, and possibly married to him, and Enc is Piggy’s son, and Piggy is married to Bookgirl, and….
This could go on all night.

        Pie 0
        Squid 0
        1. Someone needs to make a full family tree. But I have a feeling it will involve multiple dimensions. More than three, at least.

          Pie 0
          Squid 0
  45. So it seems that LBK and I are blogsters (and I did not see her post until today. Sigh. And now she hasn’t been around for a while.) And perhaps I would be semi-related to R101 through her.

Now, SBF, we just need a date for the wedding and–how can I be so forgetful, here’s your engagement squid *hands squid*–w00t!

    Pie 0

      Pie 0
      Squid 0
      1. …Wait, cake, no, I didn’t read your post thoroughly enough. Oops. You said the same thing as Random did in post 70 in May.

        Pie 0
        Squid 0
      2. Join the family, Bibli! You can be my sister, and R101’s sister/quasi-sister, and LBK’s quasi-sister/quasi-quasi-sister, and SBF’s (future) sister-in-law and thus Enc and fireh’s–wait, where was I again–

        Pie 0
        Squid 0
  46. Hm. I seem to recall both Selenium and Bookgirl adopting me. Which makes Piggy my step-dad, and Enc and Fireh my… step siblings? I also believe I’m related to Cskia somehow, although the precise link escapes me.

    I think I’m confused.

    Pie 0
    Squid 0
    1. That means… I am your future step-aunt twice removed? Or would that be thrice? I’m also confused, but these are warm fuzzy relations.

      Pie 0
      Squid 0
  47. Oh, the revival worked!

Someone should draw a family tree of all these ‘blog siblings and marriages and adoptions and polygamous relationships and whatnot.

    Pie 0
    Squid 0
  48. Okay, so what’s going on with me?
I’m engaged to Piggy, Enc, and *Cskia (as of a few hours ago), so that makes bookgirl_me my fellow wife and….oh, I lost track.

    Pie 0
    Squid 0
        1. I will! Never mind legality by now; I mean, my fiancee is going to marry both Piggy AND his son… so she’ll be her own stepmother-in-law and stepdaughter-in-law… who has the multi-dimensional family tree ready?

          Pie 0
          Squid 0
            1. SFTDP

Actually, before we get to that–Rosebud, who are you planning to marry? Proposals have been made but not necessarily accepted.

              Pie 0
              Squid 0
    1. Married to the son and the father? How interesting.
And fireh must therefore be both your stepdaughter and sister in law.

      Pie 0
      Squid 0
      1. This is almost as bad as my band family, where my father is also my sister and I am her son/brother, so I am uncle and younger brother to her other daughter, Chris (who is a boy), and I am her brother/son because she had a one-night-stand with my father who is her half-step-father… It gets weirder past that.

        Pie 0
        Squid 0
    1. There’s a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly who is related to whom and how, our current MB family tree will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable. There is another theory which states that this has already happened.

      Pie 0
      Squid 0
        1. Or is it a chain? We figure it out, then it turns into something even more convoluted, and then we somehow manage to figure it out again, and then…

          Squid 0
        1. “I checked it very thoroughly,” said the computer, “and that quite definitely is the answer. I think the problem, to be quite honest with you people, is that you’ve never actually known what the question is.”

    1. I’d love to! We’d just need to decide which. I suppose we could even do both, like Count Olaf tried, except you won’t need to hang my baby sister in a birdcage from a tower (which is a very helpful because I don’t even have a baby sister, or a handy tower or birdcage). Shouldn’t we pick a date?

      Pie 0
      Squid 0
      1. Hm, well, I’ve not been engaged yet. Actually, I think I was engaged to Sel at one point, or something, but I’ve forgotten.

Will you marry me? And would Thursday be good for you?

Also, we could adopt Adeliae. If she’s willing.

        Pie 0
        Squid 0
        1. Yeah, I think we might have been, but oh well.

Hang on, if you adopt Adeliae, since I’ve adopted you, this makes Adeliae my adopted grandchild…yet we’re twins/siblings. This must be the most confusing family in the world.

          Pie 0
          Squid 0
        2. Sure! Thursday’s fine. I suppose one of us will have to find a time when both of us are awake/not at school–unless we can just have a really long wedding. I’m in Central time–you? And we can have it at The Hare and the Hedgepig (if that’s alright with you)?
What does one do at a wedding, anyway? It’s been years since I’ve been to one. Something along the lines of Piggy asking if we want to marry, us saying yes, and then the guests throw rice pies at us as a volunteer flings squids, Adelie penguins, and tardigrades into that huge aquarium we’re bringing, right? (I think normally they creatures are expected to fly into the air, but they can’t! What do people think they are–doves?) And then we eat–Puffin puffs, of course, and garlic bread, and Sel, can your please bring some calamari cupcakes?
I’m fine with adopting your aunt Adeliae as well, even though she’s older than me.

    1. I’m sorry! We can adopt you if Choklit doesn’t mind; then Adeliae can be your sister and also your great aunt!

  50. Sweet, this thread is popular again!

So, if I may resume a previous freak-out; LBK’s my blogsister, right? But she’s also Cskia’s, right? So does that make Cskia and me bloglings? Because Cskia is absolutely amazing, but somehow being bloglings with this particular friend seems just plain strange.

    1. I don’t know… is there any sort of transitive property of bloglings? The MB world doesn’t seem to have quite the same rules…

  51. Hmm, someone should really start thar family tree, because I’m getting really cornfused. Anyway, anyone want to adopt some twins?

  52. How exactly does one go about discovering one’s blogling(s)?
Just see who seems like they should be related to you?
I like ALL of you lovely people…

    1. You hit the nail on the head! Right on the nose, my comrade!
“Bliblings,” please…oh, will it ever catch on? *woe*

  53. So my sisters (bliblings!) are LBK and Bibli, my fiancee is SBF, Rosebud hasn’t given a definite response to my proposal yet, and I adopted Bibli. Am I missing anything? Other than how Enc and Piggy are my fellow-fiancees-in-law and Chok is my future sister-in-law and stepdaughter-in-law and R101 might be my quasi-sister and fireh and Enc are my stepchildren-in-law and…

Does anyone want to adopt me? Possibly someone who has already been adopted? I rather would like grandparents.

    1. You know, I’ve thought it over carefully (I wouldn’t want to do anything rash, you know) and my verdict is: OMG YES
Same goes for Piggy, if he wishes.

    2. If Choklit Orange is your future sister-in-law, then I’m your future adoptive mother-in-law?

And if she’s also your (future?) stepdaughter-in-law then what does that make me?

This is confusing. I’ve probably got it all wrong.

    3. I just realized something. I have no blog parents. Therefore the usual laws of siblings don’t apply. Therefore I can be your sister’s sister without being yours. No offense, Cskia, I mean, you’re one of the most flamablamablous people in the universe, but I’d really rather not be your blogling, if that’s all right.

      Pie 0

      1. Oh… I just assumed your blog parents were unknown, not nonexistent. If it’s possible not to have parents, something is really wrong with my family tree. I may have to start over. I have a better idea for adapting it to 2D, anyway (believe it or not, I’ve found myself seriously thinking about how much easier it would be if it was a cardboard model instead of a Word document).

        Pie 0
        Squid 0
        1. Well, since Blog parents are considered “adopted” anyway, I assumed we don’t have parents until we choose them (or they choose us).

I just used this argument because somehow knowing Cskia before I’d even heard of this site – and some other things too – make the thought of being her sister awkward. (I also have an ulterior motive. I like to think I have one of the least complicated family trees on MB, and if I was Cskia’s sister, I’d inherit some of her family tree too, which is not uncomplicated in the least.)

  54. Piggy, if we’re getting married (you said you “sorta” propsoed to me, so I don’t know if our love is true) can we have a pony-themed wedding? Pretty please with hay and sugar cubes on top?

  55. I’ll be someone’s blogsibling, if anyone wants one …

Haha, me and my schoolfriends have this giant polygamous family tree figured out. I’m someone’s overshadowed twin brother, despite being a girl. Long story.

  56. Does anyone know how to write text curved in Word? I don’t mean the font; I mean arranged so that it’s read in a circle, rather than, say, from left to right. Also, who’s MG?

    Pie 0

    1. Insert -> Picture -> WordArt
      Type your text in.
Click on the WordArt to bring up its toolbar.
Choose the symbol towards the middle that looks like a sliding A.
A bunch of shapes show up. You can experiment to see which works best, but I know there are a few circular ones.

    1. Don’t read it; just absorb it.

And then feel like you sort of know what’s going on.

      And it’s confusing.

But you can pretend that it makes sense.

Or at least acknowledge that it completely doesn’t.

At least, that works for me.

  57. I was recently reminded of the MB family, and for some reason this sentence referring to the MB family v.s. IRL families popped into my head: “Blood or Blog, which is stronger?”
