Allll right, let’s get down to business.

Cover: I think I’ve seen this picture before somewhere. Intriguing…
Dear Muse Reader (fwooder): Ha! I love Nak’s parodies. Fwoops!
Contents: This looks to be a… tasty issue! *punishes self for terrible non-joke*
Bo’s Page: The Critter Edition: Huh, a themed Bo’s Page? That’s new. I figured out the false fact pretty easily–no one could get so lost as to wind up in Indonesia. But everything was interesting nonetheless.
Kokpelli & Company: “XD” is really all I can say. Poor Feather…
Q&A: Not the most flabbergasting questions in the world, but superb answers.
How Corn Conquered America, by Michael Pollan: Ooooh… ahhhh…. This was a fantastic article.
What We’re Hungry For: An Interview with Rick Bayless: I liked Bayless’s insight about nutrition labels. I’ve never thought about that before.
Mexican Scrambled Egg Tacos: I’ll have to try this recipe sometime. It looks tasty.
Insects That Are Good to Eat, and Something about their Cooking, by Vincent M. Holt: I’m… not sure I’ll be trying these recipes any time soon, but they certainly give a new perspective on things.
Muserology: Growing Season, by Emily Polson: Several of my acquaintances have detasseled corn before, and I’ve heard it’s not the most enjoyable job in the world.
Happy Go Clucky: A Hen’s Blog, by a hen, photos by Meg Moss: Chickens are adorable.
Hungry? Eat Your Brother, by Marty Grump: For some reason this article couldn’t hold my attention. Oh well.
    Muse Mail: The usual.
    Contest Winners: The usual.
Minding Our Beeswax: I’d like to see more of these beekeeping operations in other cities.

Okay, loved this issue! I especially liked Fwooder (I don’t know how to make bold, sorry) and Happy Go Clucky. Also, How Corn Conquered America….. Well… 8 0 Hungry? Eat your Brother was very interesting, and I think I’m glad that humans don’t do siblicide. Bo’s Page was amazing, the themed thing was cool. I think that it’s very sad that there are no wolverines in Michigan. Yes, this was an awesome issue and deserves several pies. Unfortunetly, I don’t think any pie of mine would survive the mailing process, so I’ll just have to give some pies here.

2- If you’d like to know how to do HTML, talk to me. HTML is a geek sort of thing, it stands for HyperText Markup Language, and it makes up everything pixelated. All you need to do is take this symbol < and this symbol > here, and put a letter between them. To make bold text, put the letter b between them. Then write your text, then do this: </b>. The slash / ends the HTML. It will look like this when you type it:

    <b> I’m a geek. </b>
When you hit “Comment” or “Preview”, it will end up like this:

    I’m a geek.

You can do the same thing for italics. Just put the letter i between the brackets (< and >, more commonly known as greater than/less than).

<code> also works. Don’t forget to end your phrase with a </code>, and it will look like this.

Follow this link for more HTML info – see comment 11 specifically. Good luck!

…is that enough spoiler warning? :3 Because I’m starting to get sick of typing it. And yes, I know that copying it would be a lot easier, but I’m too devoted to typing out everything.

So! General idea: good issue (as usual), especially because I was reading it right after breakfast. Since I’m too lazy to go through everything one by one, I’ll just detail my more obvious reactions.

How Corn Conquered America: Loving this article, especially because I’ve been a big “cut corn subsidies” person for quite a while.
A Hen’s Blog: Since I’m a great big chicken fan (that is, until they attack me/take over the world/poop on my foot), I liked this article. :) I also really like the fun little “inanimate object Internet” thing that keeps going on in Muse (darkwaters, Fwooder, Hen’s Blog…I think I should be able to name more?).
Hungry? Eat Your Brother: I like cannibalism too much.
Contest Winners: The person who wrote the poem on Muse Mail is totally awesome in my eyes. Just because I’ve complained about the declining quality of Muse Mail (i.e. starting to get really sick of reading two pages of threats to Muse editors) before. Although I do complain a lot. About rather random things, too.

    Whee. :)
