Possibly first post? Resolution: To practice more. My resolutions never last past the first week though.
My resolution is not to play too much on my new Nintendo DS, and also to make my bed almost every day.
I resolute to keep my resolutions o_O
First post?
3-That’d be resolve. You can be resolute, as that’s an adjective, but you can’t resolute, as that’s a verb…and resolution is the noun that is what you resolve to do, and are, therefore, resolute about!
Lol.
I resolve to not be such a “flake”, as everyone puts it.
i ve given up making resolutions…mine are always pretty lame and them i dont keep them…idk
i think this year maybe i ll resolve to start working for the CIA setting a record by being their first 15 yr old opperative…
or maybe not…
happy new year!!!!
I have a better resolution than my previous one. To become reaquainted with the piano. I haven’t played in so long, and I want to try it again.
Reselution:I will try to visit every thread on thid blog and leave a comment.
7- That’s gonna take a while.
I finally came up with a resolution: get back in better shape.
New years resolution: Have as much fun as I can!
Hmm. If I ever make a New Year’s Resolution (which doesn’t happen often), it never lasts.
Here’s Wiki’s definition of a New Year’s Resolution:
A New Year’s resolution is a commitment that an individual makes to a project or a habit, often a lifestyle change that is generally interpreted as advantageous. The name comes from the fact that these commitments normally go into effect on New Year’s Day and remain until the set goal has been achieved, although many resolutions go unachieved and are often broken fairly shortly after they are set.
Let’s see. This year…I don’t know what. Hmm. Maybe I’ll practice piano more..but I’m already doing it for an hour a day. I don’t know. I’m never good at these things.
Resolution – Find at least one more Muser in my city. I only know one so far, but there has to be more somewhere!
i don’t know what my resolution will be since im pretty much perfect
13- maybe your resolution could be to take the self confidence down a notch.
Mine should probably be the opposite. I am resolving to be more confident and self assured, and not worried about what other people think. Also, to be kinder and more altruistic. And to work harder. And to…
You get the point.
my new year’s
revolutionresolution is…. to write more.Resolution: win Civ IV on Marathon speed at Deity level. It will take the year to get that good. And the game itself will take days.
Mine is to do what I want more often. ☆☆
I also need to get good grades to use against my parents…mwahahahaha
I’m stealing people’s ideas because they’re so good.
12 ~ I’ll take that one, except I’ll say that I want to meet a Muser, in or out of my town.
15 ~ That’s a really good one, too.
I’ll twist it a bit to fit my purposes: my third New Year’s resolution is to come up with a good, original idea for a story and write it, since I seem to have permanent writer’s block.
17 – Axa, how do you make those stars?
10-Sounds good!

Thanks Shadowkat :] I feel smarter now.

I resolve to keep my resolutions.
My Resoulution is to finish the Foundation and Robot series, both my Isaac Asimov.
Um…to keep being happy, I guess. Try to keep celebrating my successes (rather than spend time being ashamed of my failures). Live in the present, etc…
21-No problem.
12- If you don’t mind me asking, what city do you live in? I live in NYC (New York City). Maybe you live there…?
My resolutions: to spread the word of Global Warming, to make people aware. To become more aware myself.
To actually finish a novel. I’ve started so many…
To meet a Muser, like Margaret. It would be great to know somebody here.
My resolution is to practice my violin every day. I have already broken it, but I think I’ll start again tomorrow. The day we choose as the beginning of a new year is kind of arbitrary, so it can’t really affect my resolve.
I’m going to do my hw! On time, not on the bus in the morning, or not in the morning at this hour….
I’ll probably break that one tonight!
A resoultion. I haven’t made them in years. I made some school related ones but my personal ones are.
~Get my center in shape (If you’re a dancer you know how important that it on pointe)
~ Get on Museblog every day.
I resolve to:
Make it through Confirmation class without going crazy.
Finish this darn ettiquite class.
And to keep these.
25 – No, sorry. I was in NYC on a subway when that huge blackout happened a few ears ago, but haven’t been there since. It was pretty freaky seeing the NYC skyline with almost ne lights on. I live somewhere in the northeastern U.S., in a state shaped rather like a mitten, in a town where most people are vegetarian, [further identifying information deleted. –Admin.]
29 – Good luck with that first one. I’m having to do the same thing and its reather vexing. *goes and checks Confirmation binder to make sure I’ve finished all of the workbook pages* I had to do an ettiquette class in the summer of fourth grade. It was a real pain. Fortunately, my mom dragged one of my freinds into it and we spent most of the time talking instead of listening to the teacher. *grins evilly* Mwahaha! Anyways, you’ll live. (maybe)
MY question is: why make them at New Year’s? why not halfway through the year, or at a new week?
29 ~ My parents forced me to take confirmation classes. I’m not big on religion, and I told them that I was not getting confirmed until some time when I actually think I can make those vows without lying, if that time comes. They said that I had to take the classes anyway, because I might change my mind. We got pizza, and they were kind of fun sometimes, but I was the youngest person in the class and everyone else knew each other. I made some friends and all, but I still didn’t get confirmed. Parents just don’t listen sometimes.
But I didn’t go crazy, so there’s hope for you yet.
A wonderful new development has occurred in my quest to get back in shape: My gym class has begun a unit in the fitness center. I “biked” five miles “uphill” and took a very steep “hike” today.
30: Hey, you probably live near me, then! A lot of ppl here are vedgeheads…Do you live in a tourist-infested town that makes most of its money by selling cherries?
31- you could make resolutions any time you want, if they help you. frankly, i’ve never really followed any of mine, except the ones i make that i would do anyway (like read a lot. XD) to trick myself into thinking i’m being a better person. i think i will resolve not to procrastinate, to just START WRITING MY FREAKING STORY ALREADY when it’s due in two weeks, to get my second-level black belt by May, and to make my handwriting neater. a tall order, if you ask me.
No, but that’s somewhere near a place I’ve been to a few times. Near Sleeping Bear Dunes, Point Betise, Crystal Lake, and Beaula (sp?)? Sounds like Tr. City. If I guessed right, or nearby, then: Yay!!!!! Now I know two Musers in my state. (maybe, it certainly sounds like it) Squeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!
[You’re allowed to say which state you live in. –Admin.]
My resolution was to be less angry at my brother. It lasted for 14 hours before he threw a filled water bottle at me, ricocheting of my wrist bone and hitting me on the apple of my cheek. I grabbed him, took off his pants and shirt, and locked him out of the house. Non-lethal “getting even.” Ah well. I am making a “Resolution as of January 2” to walk away. Gah.
I plan to eat more cheese!!!
36 – Hahahaha! I wish I could do that to my brother sometimes. Unfortunately, I’d probably get grounded big-time. The last time I did anything like that, I got grounded for nearly a month.
But I’m sure I’ll figure out something else I can do to get even with him for being a little monster.
New Year’s Resolution #3 – Ignore little brother whenever he is being bratty. It probably won’t last long, but you can’t say I didn’t try.
36= Oh my gosh….. Sounds funny though. Hee hee….
hum. i resolve to practice my flute more…
ettiquite class??? confermation????
well..i know what they are but what do they tell you?? i don’t quite get it.. well, nobody is my familly is religious so that might be it…
i was like, really hyper when i made mine, so it’s like, take a shower. so i already fulfilled it.
I never do New Year’s Resolutions. They always fail. Really embarrassingly early. Sigh.
resolve to do something easy, like quitign smokign when you have never smoked!!
i resolve to make more resoloutions! o_0
I agree with wierdalyavonic.
40- In confirmation (which I got out of doing) all you do is learn about other religions and study the bible.I was almost forced in by my over religious grandmother. In ettiquite, the teacher teaches manners, waredrobe, dancing, and eating. It’s really weird…..
New Years Resolution: To make a better resolution!
my wednesday the 10th resolution: to eat another popsicle.
Oh,
I resolve not to be an idiot.
my new years resolution was to post more on the mb, which is ironic, because last year it was to post less.
also i resolved to find my french binder, but ive already done that.
New New Year’s Resolution – make sure it’s a snow day on monday cuz our school doesn’t take MLKJr. Day off, which I believe is disrespectful, and cuz it’s my B-day.
I’ll go dump snow that I can buy from Colorado all over the roads and hope nobody sees me.
my new years resolution is really irrelivent… IM GONNA GET THIS WUNG OFF MY TOE!!!!
My old new year’s resolution was t find the nine original muses and i did – Calliope (heroic or epic poetry), Clio (history), Erato (lyric or love poetry), Euterpe (music or flutes), Melpomene (tragedy), Polyhymnia (sacred poetry or mime), Terpsichore (dancing and choral song), Thalia (comedy), and Urania (astronomy)
(53) That’s a good resolution. We have some information about the original Muses on the Muse Fan Page, starting with a table in the Felicitously Answered Questions section.
isnt calliope a magazine?
