  1. Um. How do I get the chessboard to move a piece? I know how to play chess but I haven’t used the blog chess software before.

  2. oxlin: You have to be logged in to make a move. Click on the piece you want to move, then click on the square you want to move it to. When you click on the piece, the board will light up with all of its possible moves — a nice feature.

There are buttons for castling on the king’s side (0-0) and the queen’s side (0-0-0), for offering a draw (1/2-1/2), and for resigning (skull and crossbones). The button with the two curved arrows lets you turn the board over so you see it with the black pieces at the bottom. The other buttons let you scroll forwards and backwards through the game (not possible now, as there has been only one move).

You can practice making moves here:

You can practice scrolling on any of the other games.

  3. Sorry, I might be a bit less available lately as it is approaching finals. I’ll try to post moves at a decent rate.

  4. Well, If Oxlin’s going to be a camp counselor all summer, I might as well forfeit. With idle games being automatically ended and all…
