    Sort of, except with more variation. It is specific to one state (the one I live in), and high schools of said state compete in an elimination-based tournament. We played well, but lost 140 to 330; the other team’s genius captain got about 95% of his team’s correct answers.

    1. Which three women were organized the “petticoat plot” (and who started the ensuing war and called it thus)?

    2. In which country was Catherine the Great born?

    3. What was the name of the princess who was supposed to mary Louis the 16, what relation was she to the princess who did mary him and why didn’t she?

    Hint: All the questions are from roughly the same time period.

    17~ It translates to “color tone melody” and it’s the musical technique of using multiple instruments trading off to play the melody line instead of one voice having the lead. Not desperate, it’s one of my favorite words.
