The autumnal equinox takes place at 10:09 p.m. tonight (blogtime). To our European friends, it will be early Thursday morning. And down in the Southern Hemisphere, it’s spring! All very confusing, but that’s life.
Patience, Please
This site is under reconstruction and will look strange for a while. We regret the inconvenience.
Hooray! Autumn is my favorite season. I’m excited for cold air and pretty leaves again.
Yay! It’s my favorite season too! Though Autumn in NC isn’t as crunchy as Autumn in CA… But it’s still the best!
Well, it isn’t really autumn in NC yet (unless you’re in the mountains, maybe?). Wait a month, we have a couple really nice autumny weeks in October/November.
Ahh. Fall, a time where the wilderness is beautiful and the tempeture is cooler.
Haha. I mean Autumn I was reading a book that was talking about Fall. (stupid stupid stupid)
Autumn. I love autumn, though it isn’t my favorite season. There’s just something in the air…
There is, especially in the Northeast. The leaves are just starting to turn colors, and the air smells a certain way.
I get to look at a lot of leaves running XC…
*inhales deeply*
Ah, fall. Such a beautifully festive time of year, what with the leaves and the food and the scents. There’s nothing quite like a hot mug of mulled cider while watching the leaves fall. Late fall is one of my favorite times of year as well–where it’s just starting to turn towards winter. Most of the leaves have fallen, it’s gray and chilly outside, and the world feels empty. Pristine. And then there’s winter–snuggling under a blanket, reading a good book by the fire, and sipping on hot cocoa, perhaps with the Christmas tree twinkling softly in the corner. *sigh* The world is cool.
Yes, all of the seasons have so much to love about them.
Yay! Today is the day that they give all the students apples (a variety of types versus the ordinary plain kind) and spiced hot apple cider and free (good) dessert at the school cafeteria. It happens every year.
Yesterday was the Autumn moon festival.
If I ever see another mooncake I will squash it into a pulp.
Happy moon festival! Xe wen yue jie kuai le!
It’s weird to look at the moon and think that people can go there. They really can. All the way up there. To me that’s kind of incredible.
I miss jumping in leaf piles. I really do. If you do that here, you get really wet and covered in leeches.
Us too. *sigh*
leeches…?
8- I miss crunchy leaf piles to, but the reason for that where I am is that we don’t have enough of the right kind of trees for that.
where i live we have terriffic leaf piles but it’s been raining so much that they’re all wet. no fun
