Good game! *Shakes hand*
Not really, but good job.
Ow, I just stabbed myself in the ear with a pencil.
Ouch!
The square f2 is the classic weak spot in White’s position — like the missing scale on Smaug’s chest that allowed Bard the Bowman to kill him with an arrow.
He noticed my original plot to take his queen with my knight, that (I think preventing that was the point of his 12th move), but then I realized that if I added my queen in to the mix I might be able to checkmate him.
It was an odd game. Piggy wasn’t playing like himself. I’m tempted to wonder whether it was some kind of experiment.
Indeed it was. Apparently it didn’t work. I was hoping to try and be quicker and more decisive, but I guess I’ll just stick with my usual strategy from now on. It’s slower but less dangerous.
Incidentally, I do these sorts of experiments all the time–changing the way I think or act in order to study the results. If you see a change in my behavior, I’m probably up to something.
