If you’re new on the blog, please stop by this thread and say pie — er, hi.
We recommend that newcomers (that’s what “neophytes” means) look over The Rules and The HG2MB (Hitchhiker’s Guide to MuseBlog).
Next, if you’re so minded, stop by Who’s Here (see the menu at the top of your screen) and announce your arrival in a comment there, so we’ll be sure to add you to the official list.
MuseBlog Veterans: Please use this thread only to welcome newcomers as they arrive and answer questions that they ask.
I come from way back, like waaaay back, like 2007. Anything new here?
No, absolutely nothing has changed or been added in the last five years.
Welcome back!
Squids. The squids are new.
As are the pies, as are the nested comments, as are the gravatars.
Welcome back! I never knew you, but it’s nice to meet you. I’ve read a few of your old posts.
By the way, the pies below each post (by the squids) aren’t used the way normal pies are. They’re special “approval pies.” When a comment gets 10 of them, it becomes pink. Other kinds of pies are thrown the normal way.
Squids can mean almost anything kind, but it’s usually sympathy.
Unless you’re Piggy, in which case the squids you receive… are complicated. Possibly involving sympathy. Possibly not. Possibly involving sympathy for the lack of sympathy.
Welcome back.
Your name looks familiar, but I can’t recall if it was from a list of bloggers or from firsthand experience. I joined in late ’07. You can find my first post in the Newcomer’s Thread under the name eragon.
Things have changed a bit. The pie wars are dead and gone, although I really want them back. I keep yelling clear and hitting the big red buttons, but it never revives. We’ve got a lot less people, too. Things are way less hectic, and literally every single person currently posting speaks English properly. You’re also likely to see some familiar faces, like Piggy, Kag (I think), Lizzie, Axa, and Jadestone (I think)
Anyway, welcome back. Oh, yeah – the Morphing Chameleon Thread is now the Random Thread, and the Newcomer’s Thread the Neophyte’s Thread. We do general discussion only in the Random now, and the Neophyte’s Thread is welcome-only, for the most part.
We’ve always had a Random Thread; the Chameleon Threads are just gone now because they didn’t get used.
I…wow. I never even saw them. For the first 2 years of my on-blog existence I mostly stayed on the Chameleon and Newcomer’s Threads. I feel sort of silly now.
Why does Castle have two different avatars?
He’s probably using two different e-mails.
Because Castle has two different email addresses linked to two different Gravatar images. Three of both, actually.
Greetings! I am new to this corner of the internet, although not at all new to Muse. I enjoy many different things, but writing introduction posts is not one of them. I look forward to meeting you all in the comment-y forums soon!
~Chel
Welcome, Chelsea. No last names here, please. Are you in fact from Chelsea?
My apologies, I must have misunderstood The Rules, in so far as what the rules are regarding names. Forgive me, it was quite late, and my head was a little muddled.
No, I’m not from Chelsea, I’m from a teensy town in a teensy state in New England.
Chelsea — Actually, which rule you follow depends on how old you are. I was assuming that you’re high-school-aged or under. If that’s not so, better email us at gapa@musefanpage.com to let us know more about you.
Welcome!
Thank you!
Welcome!
I hope you enjoyed the pies; they’re banana cream.
Hi! Hope to see you around! And don’t worry about introductory posts; that was the last one you’ll ever have to make. Or on here, at least.
Welcome!
*peanut butter and/or choklit pies*
Welcome!
As a new person myself, um… Welcome.
I don’t have much else to say, but very nice to meet you!
‘Allo, Chelsea!
‘Ello, and Welcome!

These are coconut cream. It’s traditional, and it splats the best.
