    1. Oh gosh, that gravatar. THOSE EYES. AND ALL THOSE TEETH

Anyways, here’s the pie you exclaimed for. And two more just because.

By the way, everyone, this is Areo. I’m not very good at introductions, but you maybe have heard of him as Swalot.

      1. THE HORROR, THE HORROR!
The teeth drip with ancient drool
The monster rises from the pool
        Filled now with age-old wrath
It’s been disturbed, the spell is cast
The massive jaws of terror clench
Its breath expels with awful stench
As as it looks into your eye
        As its claw rises high
As you’re sure you’re going to die
        It whispers softly –
        “The cake is a lie.”

          1. D’aww, thanks. I just spontaneously wrote that in one go. I love silly poetry. Er…I suppose that could be a song.

    2. Nice name, brobird! *fistbump*

I never learned the codes for the new smilies (lazy), so have a c+p’d pie from olden days. It’s a bit stale, do be careful.

    4. Welcome! I’m Bibliophile, who will try to call you Aerohawk or Aero (We used to have a HAWK, so calling you hawk or Hawk would be confusing) rather than Swalot. My avatar is a tardigrade; in case you haven’t heard of them, they’re microscopic animals that can survive a plethora of amazing things. Is your name a reference to something, or do you just like air and hawks (as do I)? It’s good to see you!

      1. Hello! Is there anything you would like to me to call you?
Tardigrades sound interesting, I may have to look then up to learn more!
As for my name, I just like wind and hawks although Areohawk was meant to be a hasmarish name originally.

        1. You can call me Bibliophile or Biblio or Bibli. Did you know tardigrades have been to space? They lacked protective gear, but they survived! Some of them were exposed to ultraviolet radiation there and survived that, too.

          1. Did you know that a human with an air tank could survive in space for at least as long as the tank held air? For the longest time I held the common misconception that exposure to vacuum meant simultaneously freezing/boiling, as temperature and pressure both drop to near zero. But there’s so little matter in space (duh) that it takes much longer for heat to leave your body, and a healthy body contains blood under pressure in the circulatory system/skin for some time. You will become painfully bloated and can feel water in your mouth coolly boiling, but that all returns to normal after you re-pressurize! After too long you’ll go blue as your mouth and nose freeze, then blind, but those too are reversible. Most of this hasn’t been tested, but NASA is pretty sure you survive at least up to a few minutes without oxygen, and perhaps longer with a scuba tank.
I HAVE BEEN DYING TO SHARE THAT.

            1. That’s awesome!
The tardigrades didn’t have an air tank, though; that was the point. And they’re much, much better at enduring extreme heat and pressure than we are, too.

This may be odd to most of you but… *Noms all the pies and pastries and spikey stale pies, tarts, cakes etc! Then goes over and signs SBF’s face!*

  2. Oh space squids. I haven’t been on MuseBlog in far too long, and I entirely missed your arrival!

Would you prefer to be called Areohawk or Swalot?
Either way, you are very most certainly welcome to the Blog!

As you may have gathered, Cskia has told us all quite a bit about you. So we’re all glad to finally “meet” you. I am no exception! *more pies, and a few cookies*
