If you’re new on the blog, please stop by this thread and say pie — er, hi.
We recommend that newcomers (that’s what “neophytes” means) look over The Rules and The HG2MB (Hitchhiker’s Guide to MuseBlog).
Next, if you’re so minded, stop by Who’s Here (see the menu at the top of your screen) and announce your arrival in a comment there, so we’ll be sure to add you to the official list.

Hellote!
Me and Castle are bros. And the Justicebird he speaks of. And he directed me to this website whatchamadingus and so hello peoples it is nice to meet you and things :3
Welcome!
Is your name a reference to anything? If not, it sounds good anyway.
Helloo
Hello! Welcome to Museblog!

Have some pies!
I wish Castle and I were bros. So, hi! Nice to meet you. I’m SBF, and this is the MuseBlog. You’ll have such fun here.
I could always adopt you. I find that quite agreeable.
That would make you my maybe-future stepdad-in-law? Or brother-in-law? And JLynn would be my stepmother-in-law or sister-in-law-removed-n-times and then–the plot thickens! (More like, the family complicatens! something like that.)
I would quite like to be your brother-in-law.
Justice and I aren’t married yet. She’s got a ton of other online stuff to do, so she’s not going to be here very much, if ever, much to my sadness. The point is, if she comes back we’ll get blogmarried but in the meantime Castle is willing to marry any of his adoring fans
And it’s funny because I get mistaken for being her biological sister everywhere we go.
I would have adopted you by now if I could find the caking thread in which to do so. I can’t, though, because I’ve forgotten what it’s called and my brain has gone all to mush.
There once was a Muser named Castle
To him finding threads was a hassle
So he shut down his brain
And he plugged it back in
Now it’s running a tiny bit faster.
It’s called Blog Siblings. I think you can have an adoption on any thread, though, if you want.

It’s hard to believe that it’s more than two years old.
Two…YEARS? I went back through the archives and thought one year was too much. I was searching for the keywords “family” “adopt” and “genealogy” because I couldn’t for the life of me remember the name of the thread. Thank you.
Oh, two years is nothing here. Some MuseBloggers have spent a third of their lives in this place.
You ought to try delving into early MuseBlogology. There’s some very entertaining stuff down in the Cambrian and Ordovician strata.
I showed up late 2007, and I’m 14 and a half now…so that would mean I’ve been here for a little under a third of my life. If I did the math right. Which I’m sure I didn’t, because I’m running on sunflower seeds and 15 hours of sleep total this week.
And the reason I was a little concerned that it had been two years was because I thought it had been abandoned months ago when in fact the most recent post there was in January. I panicked a little at the thought that 8 months had just gone by in what felt like two.
It’s been seven, maybe eight years now.
At some point fairly soon I’ll have been here longer than some MBers have been alive.
Oxlin has been getting Muse since before I was born (and also before some others here were born, like Mikazuki and Agent Lightning), although I no-one has actually been on MuseBlog since a fellow MBer was born yet.
It’s been here longer than I have.
Nice to meet you too! Now, meet some more pies.

All these gravatars have such nice expressions now! I love that eyebrow.
It’s a fantastically confused gumball-marble-small round thing face. I don’t think I’ll change it, because it’s one of my default faces IRL xD
Welcome, SS!
Welcome! *pies*
Woah woah woah hai
I just kind of left that there, didn’t I? XD
The name’s not really a reference to anything, I just like making interesting sounding names, and characters to go along with them. Although Selcothe is a little polished sort of variation on the word “selcouth”, and Sicaria is a word for a female assassin. Not exactly politically correct, but it sounds cool.
And thank you for the welcomings and the pies
And after a brief internet search, I find that selcothe actually was a variation of the word in older versions of English, but isn’t used anymore. Welp, guess you learn something new every day.
Here, have some late welcome pies!

Whoa, All-State Jazz auditions are in how many days?
*goes off to practice, but remembers that there are speeches to be written, and reluctantly tramps back to the computer*
Sorry… wrong thread.
Well, I’m not exactly new, but it’s been ages since I posted here and sufficient time has passed that I think reintroductions are in order (I turned 18, for one). So hi!
Welcome back! Are you still Nearly Ömniscient?
Reintroductions? Psh. I think we know each other decently enough. Welcome back!
Hi, TNÖ! I can’t remember if we were ever properly introduced (I used to disappear from the blog for ages at a time), but I certainly know you by reputation!
TNÖ! Hi!
Hey, welcome back! It suddenly seems like a whole bunch of people I haven’t seen in while are coming back, and it’s wonderful! Have (another) pie
I remember you from Chatterbox! Welcome back!
Welcome back! I don’t know if we’ve been on here together, but I guessed you were an older, probably college-age MBer, so that’s something.
That may have been because you subconsciously noticed her last name, which only adults are allowed to do.Nope, now I’m Completely Omnipotent. It’s just that TNÖ rolls off the tongue better.
Hello! I joined MuseBlog long after you came, but you know me from the Cricket ChatterBox. I’m Ima. My avatar’s a tardigrade, by the way.
I don’t know whether or not you were here when Ducky came, since that was years before me, but I’ve only seen your posts here on really old threads? She’s Cara. ZNZ’s here, too, but she didn’t change her name. Anyway, welcome, it’s nice to see you here!
Yep, I remember TNÖ…. back in the good old days of the Chatterbox. *nostalgia*
You know, I never thought I’d see the day when a MuseBlogger expressed honest nostalgia for the “good old days of the Chatterbox”.
It’s funny how time changes perspective. The Chatterbox and its accompanying influx of newbies didn’t turn out to be the doom of us, after all.
Well, back in said “good old days”, I was 11, so…
The average age on the ChatterBox has definitely increased, though, and maturity with it. (Age did decreased a bit afterward, but most people there are still older than when you posted frequently). It goes through phases just like MuseBlog has done. ZNZ and I still go there quite frequently, and TNO posts as well, although she is the oldest person there. The average age is still much younger than the average MuseBlogger’s age, but no-one there now is younger than any MuseBlogger from the past year (and maybe a half).
Oh MY. It has been a while, hasn’t it? If you remember me at all it’ll be as eragon, my annoying younger self. Nice to see you again, TNÖ. I remember reading your letters in Muse before I joined the blog and being mildly surprised to find you here. Anyway, welcome back!
*pies TNÖ with an assortment of pastries including but not limited to tarts, bagels, donuts, croissants, pies, strudels, breads, cookies and lemon bars*
Lemon bars! *omnomnom*
…I do sort of remember you, actually. Though I don’t recall you being annoying.
I’m still here…
I never really left. I just switched to lurking mode. Although I can’t really keep track of everyone here anymore….
Life is proceeding well.
EVERYONE
WHAT
WHY ARE THEY *ALL* COMING BACK

Welcome back!

I can’t keep track of who used to be a regular and left anymore.
Hi everyone, I posted on Who’s Here, but I was told to comment on here as well.
So, hello!
Welcome!

Welcome in! Enjoy your stay.
Welcome!

Welcome, Agent Hippie!
We have two agents now!
Two people who openly admit to being agents, anyway.
((We’re IRL friends, in case you’re wondering.))

Welcome, Agent Hippie!
Hello! I hope we can get to know each other very well!
Hey Hi Hello! I’m Melody, or Melly or Mels or whatever. (:
Hello! Welcome! I hope you enjoy being here!

Hi, Melody! Your name is awesome and made me think of happy things.

Who’s your sister?
Hi! I love your avatar! Welcome to MuseBlog!

Also, my sister used to be on here a bunch, but not so much anymore, I think.
Welcome to MuseBlog, Melody!!

Hello Melody!
Your name reminds me of Doctor Who.
Welcome to MuseBlog, Melody! I like your name. Incidentally, I know someone on the Cricket ChatterBox who goes by the same name; you wouldn’t happen to be the same person, would you?
Bibliophile, no, I’ve never heard of that.
Yeah, my name reminds me of doctor who too!
Oh, and my sister is Alice? I don’t think she comes on anymore, what with college and all.
