At least, we think so. The blog is back online, mostly, apart from the page tabs (“Who’s Here,” “What’s Here,” etc.), which we’re working on.
Meanwhile, please note the new “Who’s Talking” feature over on the right. We’re hoping that it won’t cause the same sorts of problems that “Recent Comments” did, but it’s too early to say. So keep your fingers crossed, and start blogging!

Yeah, the above was really immature and out of character, I know. But there isn’t really any other way to express the following:
The blog went through THREE DIFFERENT VERSIONS today. The first one (my personal favorite) had a rather cool translucent red-brown color scheme, the second one was all iron-gray and psychedelic bubbly orange with tiny script, and the third one was official-esque, green/orange, and bland. Freaky.
HURRAH!
I always miss the weirdness. Vixen and I were exchanging PMs all day, and she said, “The blog is orange!” and I came rushing over and found that it wasn’t. *sad*
Weird is all I can say…
2- I saved screenshots of the weird blogs. If I email them in, maybe the GAPAs can post them for those of us who missed them. Either here, or on a thread called “Parallel Musiverses.”

Unfortunately, most of my first sentences are ‘aha’ or ‘good’ so much for that I shall deliberately not use periods here (dot dot dot)
So that means that we won’t have spoiler problems in the magazine discussion threads, all you’d have to do is write “spoiler”.
Wouldn’t it make more sense to have the recent comments take the first 10 words (or something similar)? Because the first sentence could be either really really long (if someone didn’t use periods), or really really short.

Just wondering…if the first sentence of your post was an incredibly long run on sentence, would it all show up in the “Who’s Talking” bar?

39-Yup, that was a test… I think people ought to make sure they use a period early on in their comment to avoid clogging up the recent comments bar! Only during true emergencies should no-period posting be allowed. And not “This thread is dead! Come help!” but true emergencies, such as if… I don’t know, maybe we should take this on a case-by-case basis. But however we do this, I think we can all agree things like dead threads, general announcements and comments, etc. should not have more than say, two or so sentences at the beginning of the comment without periods. That leaves room for a question mark or exclamation point after the first sentence or so. Also, people will have to start indicating what they’re talking about in the first sentence so people will know from the recent comments bar…
I will say, I prefer the new “rcb” to the old one. I like how it says what thread you’re going to without having to hold your mouse over the link. The date part is also handy…

We’re trying to solve the problem of the incredible slipping Hare-athon thread by trying different WordPress themes. Unfortunately, none of them has everything we like: among other things, comment numbers, a little HTML in your posts, and the ability to insert pretty pictures of hatching eggs. It’s been frustrating, but bear with us, please.
47- Well, no one can stalk you through that link. All I found was a comic.
49- I like it. It’s fun to take screenshots of all the confusing blogs as they go by.
The sticky threads irk my computor, they send me a “debugging” message, one per sticky thread and three on the homepage. I think it started when we installed our new security software, that’s also when a whole bunch of other sites started showing up with ads and such. It was supposed to be an upgrade, not a “show as many ads in one second as you can” grade.
I like the theme Regulus… it has numbers, some html, and lots of space for your own pictures. Something could possibly be done about keeping threads in places with time stamps (isn’t that how you do it now?) and while I have yet to see a method for changing smilies, it has to be somewhere.
On the other hand, this is the traditional look of MuseBlog. I could keep playing with themes for a while looking for one, but it still wouldn’t be the classic blog.
…I need to sleep. Any comments I have made or will make should most likely be disregarded.

*Gasp* The GAPAs have been staying up all night working on this?!?

Things I have noticed: RC appears on every thread; links from RC are to just the page the comment is on, not to the thread with a huge number after it; the expanding comment box now works so you type and the window moves over to give you room, allowing you to read the rest of your comment by moving to the beginning of it with the arrow keys; and recent posts has disappeared, while the GAPAs have green names now.
What is going on GAPAs? Do you know why so many things are going wrong at once? Are you adding these new features anyway or to fix the problems?

(60) We can reinstate “Recent Posts” if they’re useful, but we might have to make “Recent Comments” a little shorter to make room for it. The sidebar is getting a little cluttered.
