I think that we need to know what were going to do with the world.
1- Make it a better place, obviously. Here’s my two-step formula for making that happen:
1. Peace.
2. Freedom.
and here’s my two-step formula:
1. liberate animals.
2. Create an animal army to squash all non muser protected humans!!! Revenge for their treatment towards animals!!!

I’m going to make a new bookmark, because I downloaded this wonderful new font that looks a great deal like a parade of dancing Kokopellis.

12- Well, it’s mostly just block letters with stick bodies in various positions (sitting, standing, dancing). Most of the letters have a couple string-hairs, though- that’s probably the biggest reason I was reminded of Koko.

Though I suppose a great many things would have to be outlawed, then. Pencils, paperclips, paper, anything heavy, strings…
Come to think of it, almost everything is capable of injuring or killing someone.

Y’know, if you want to think about launching a conspiracy, you should think hard about mushrooms. They’ve always struck me as a particularly conspiratorial sort of fungus.

Mushrooms are fascinating. Although, I don’t really like their taste. Too chewy/hairy/ mushroomy in general.

When my college counselor asked what kind of people I liked to hang out with, I was about to say Musebloggers, but then I realized that he would have no idea what that meant. This city is sadly lacking in Musers; I think I need to start putting those bookmarks in ALL the library books.

I think the bookmarks would be a good start. Has anyone actually made them and put them into books yet? I recommend inserting them after page 42.
As for pie eating versus throwing, you could combine the two events into one by having two-person teams: a thrower and an eater. The number of pies eaten would depend on the thrower’s accuracy combined with the eater’s capacity. I suspect that when the teams took the field, it would be fairly easy to tell at a glance which member held which position.

Well, I’ve printed out one version 1 bookmark, and two version 2 bookmarks, and successfully laminated them all with packaging tape. I’m sticking one into Percy Jackson before I return it, and I’ll stick the other two into some H2G2 books, when we go to the library in a few minutes.
Operation Bookmark is well under way.
It will be exciting when the first neophyte arrives via bookmark. But you may get a few “false positives,” too.
116- Yes, since they’re not arriving via MUSE, they could be all kinds of people, though surely still interesting, if they’ve read the H2G2 series all the way to Mostly Harmless, where I stuck the second one.
It would probably be more foolproof if the bookmark was stuck in Attack of the Smart Pies, since anyone who reads that is much more likely to read MUSE. Ah well.

I submitted a short message concerning the blog to the NJCL convention’s daily newsletter’s “personals” (random messages from convention-goers) section. Hopefully it made at least a few people curious enough to come here and find out what all the fuss over hpbs is about.
What is the NJCL?
142 – The N.ational J.unior C.lassical L.eague (see njcl.org for more info…or Wikipedia ;)). Every year they dedicate a week to lots of Latin-loving, toga-clad fun. There weren’t that many kids there, but everybody who does go reads the newsletter every day, so I’m hoping at least one person will be curious enough to look up the magazine & blog after reading the newsletter blurb. It’s probably not going to help after all, but you never know!

I haven’t gotten around to it yet, but I think the ideal books for the bookmarks would be books by Larry Gonnick, e.g. The Cartoon History of the Universe and all sequels, The Cartoon guide to *insert subject here*, and… dangit, I forgot the book’s name!!! I have it!!! *goes up and looks at bookcase* Oh, right, and Attack of the Smart Pies. The latter would attract younger age groups, while the former would attract people who are fanatics about history/other things. I love the Cartoon History of the Universe… I have all three plus the Cartoon History of the Modern World (The fourth one that is going by a different name).
