Guys, please do not go messing about with wikipedia. Before you post anything on there, read the freaking mission statement or whatever it’s called and make sure that what you’re editing is actually IMPORTANT and actually needs to be in an ENCYCLOPEDIA. Wikipedia is not the place to push one’s pet projects.
Lizzie is right. We got complaints on Wikipedia a few months ago, after overzealous MBers published a lot of details about the blog. I was afraid the article would be zapped, so I went back and edited it down to the bare essentials. Please restrain yourselves.
The “editing history” section of every article on Wikipedia bears this warning:

We should all start trying to become famous and then tell everyone about Muse. It seems like being famous these days gives you more control over people under 21 than being a member of a lawmaking body. If we all try to become famous chances are one of us will make it and then the rest of us will become famous by association. Since we’ll be aiming at younger people when we start, we’ll have a strong influence on their future. We can also try to appeal to older people, but they are less impressionable.

I like the direct approach: Write “www.musefanpage.com” on a few dozen squares of origami paper. Fold them into hot-pink bunnies. Carry a few around with you. When you see another kid doing something Muserly (such as reading a book at a baseball game), walk up, hand him or her a bunny, say “You need to know about this,” and melt mysteriously back into the crowd.
Online, you could pique people’s curiosity by promoting the “Kokopelli for President” campaign at Musery Loves Company (www.cafepress.com/musery). That would avoid the potential problem of having hordes of non-Musers showing up on the blog.
I put up several posters at the lake house my family owns in part. I also did a glorious, sewwpin, full color Kokopelli for President chalk mural at our church in the nursery. Corrupt ’em when they’re young, I say!

Two things: One, a guy entered a plant into the election for mayor in some california town. It got a decent number of votes, too. Maybe we need to start smaller…. say, for example, (I’m not thinking of smaller government roles) simply getting people aware of Kokonspiracy, and start thinking of what our ideas actually are. People, we “kan” bring kokonspiracy to an entirely new level if we become a group about this and aproach it as a youth’s organisation, a way for us youngsters to get heard and noticed.
the second thing, we should write a few ideas we have about the kokonspiracy (what it is, what is stands for, what we can use it for, etc) join the ideas into a sort of proclamation, print it out, and start hanging it on bullitan boards at libraries, schools, parks, churches, etc. If we all print out two copies, we’d have a lot of flyers. ;D

You don’t have to make plans all the time. I’m sure Musers will resume planning when the time is right.
But it doesn’t matter. If you plan, you’ll take over the world one way (maybe not the way you planned to). If you don’t plan, you’ll take over the world another way (maybe the way you would have planned to). That’s the beauty of Mostly Harmless.

A very small victory this week. I persuaded the mother of a 3-month-old who was visiting to buy her daughter Muse when she gets old enough.

People tend to look at letters more often then they look at ads. Plus, a letter is more convicing. I agree with PC, we would write mostly about the magazine and put a small but noticeable part about Muse.
I usually tear out the little thingies that they staple in between pages and they end up under my bed forevermore. I think a letter would be a bit more helpful.

During orientation I was sitting around with L and B and their friends and they all struck me as extremely Muserly. So I asked, “Do you like Muse?” and L and B were all like, “MUSE?????” and I’m like, “OMG! (This is too good to be true.) The science magazine?” This stopped them. They thought I was talking about the rock band. So that sort of failed. I’ve done my best to convert B, though. I sent her an HPB. So it might work.

If you live in a big city, and you have access to a tall building, you could make a simple parachute out of plastic bags, tie notes to them, and let them escape on a windy day. Mite work better with kite shapes…….

I think it’s a great idea. Two points, although you seem to be finished, so it’s too late anyway:
First, Glass bottles will hold up better.
Second, especially if they are plastic, angry environmentalists may quickly throw them in the trash if they find them and think they are litter, so if possible make sure they will see the letter inside to know it isn’t trash.

We all are concerned for the enviroment. No, my design did not include rubberbands, which are disasterous to sea life because seals enjoy playing with them.
242-They are? Don’t feel left out, you’re lucky! Glass bottles seem nicer, but here you can’t get many drinks in glass bottles (soft drinks etc) except fancy iced teas.

Well, that might be a bit of exaggeration.
I don’t live very near the sea or tall buildings. I’ll try to think of something, though. However, those who do live in the city, be careful how you make parachutes out of plastic bags. Trees and birds get all tangled and whatnot, and actually, I think plastic bags are banned in some cities now because of their environmental impacts. But, the actual idea Vixen has of “flying” notes is great!

The deed is done. I went to the edge of the pier, PAST the tide breakers, which are walls set up, levees, kinda, but really it’s where all the litter builds up, and threw the four bottles. The sank at impact, but soon bobbed up again.

Hmmmmm. I’m still thinking reallyreally hard of what I can do. I know I posted that code plan thing, but I haven’t done much besides writing koko for prez in freezer fog and wearing my sunglasses.

I’ve been working on letters for bottles, but I don’t know if I’ll put them in the river yet. Maybe I’ll put one in, but I’ll definitely put lots of bottles in Lake Michigan when I go this summer. Has anyone read Paddle To The Sea? It was one of my favorite childhood books, where someone drops a wooden boat in Lake Superior and it has many adventures along its journey through the Great Lakes.
