Ble! Newluj—No Fulst, Part 2

A thread dedicated to the use and preservation of Ble, the extremely economical (if not equally comprehensible) language that Nancy Kangas unveiled in the November/December 2003 issue of Muse.

Several dialects of Ble appeared in Part 1, and no doubt many others lie ahead.

Threadyay? (How do you like the new thread?)

  1. Yaaaaay! Tokble. Oflang.

(I am overjoyed to see that the new ble thread. I think musers need a place where we can talk with each other in, and therefore preserve the most sacred language of all time. I think Ble has really become the official language of Museblog.

  2. 3- Ble luj no fulst. (NO newluj)- Rulimp wutev.

Ble is the language that does not use full sentences (It is not written as Newluj because it is not new anymore *update?*). The most important rule is that you can do whatever you want, as long as you provide subtitles.

  12. 38- Seez. Mum. No muhv. (It’s easy. Just abbreviate your phrasing and mumble the words, then type what you say. Say it like you’re trying not to move your face or any part of it. Try not to make a word-for-word translation of English –> Ble.)

  13. 38~ There are only two basic rules to speaking (or writing) Ble; The first is that you take whatever syllables of the words you are trying to express and smush them together into one sound, thus “I’m so glad I’m saving energy by not overusing my facial muscles” becomes “Glfm.”
The second rule is whenever you feel like breaking the first rule, go ahead. Thus, “My I please go now?” becomes “Mego?”

(Someone needs to revive this thread, so it looks like I’m here to do the job. As well as reviving this thread I’m looking to resume my often sporadic posting habits. Ble, in whatever dialect you speak it in, is an inherent part of all Musebloggers common heritage, and I am sad that people have neglected to use it or post on this thread. I fear that Ble is in a moribund stage right now and is on the verge of becoming extinct. Who remembers how to speak Ble?

    Glad to be back,
