Hello, my fellow Ble glefm-ers. I have a dictionary at the ready for any people who don’t already glefm. Glefm means, I’m glad I’m conserving facial muscles (by speaking in shorter phrases). Ble! Newluj No Fulst means Ble! the new language that doesn’t use full sentences. Some of my words were taken from that fateful LOTR issue, while others I made up. (non-alphabetical)

here’s the article:
Ble! Newluj-no fulst*
(Nak), Nancy Kangas
*Introducing Ble! The New Language that Doesn’t Use Full Sentences
Some languages make you feel like you’re singing when you speak them. Some sort of sound like you’re trying to clear your throat. Some languages have you pooting out your mouth like you’re going to kiss somebody and then have you making tiny sounds way out at the end of your lips. In some languages you’ve got those rrrrrrolled rrrrrs that require a flexible and flapping tongue. Some languages have really really long words for really really tiny things. (In Finnish the word for “ant” is “muurahainen.”)
We believe it is time to invent a language that doesn’t require using facial muscles. Just as there is shorthand for those who want to write really fast, there should be “shortspeak” for all who want to get the whole verbal communication thing over with quickly. Let us call it “BIe.”** We ask: why use full sentences when a small grunt would do?!
** You might think it would be called Shpeak, but that just seems too long.
There are really only two rules for Ble. The first is: take a sentence, pick out a few sounds, smush them together, and throw away the rest.
For instance, “I have the opinion that I am very smart” in Ble is “Imart”
But the second rule is: anytime you feel like breaking the first rule, go right ahead.
Which is why “Can I leave now?” in Ble is “Mego?”
so ol! (sounds cool)

I wouldn’t normally trouble you on such a thread as this, old things, because I’m utterly hopeless at abbreviation. I’m just picking up on Cliff Eagle’s post. I thought you might like to see a miraculously intelligible explanation of laser cooling and Bose-Einsteein condensates.

Ikebleh!
Meschome. Nogoo, goeas.
223 – Yawl mmumbtaklongr. (Yeah, well, my mumbling just takes longer.)
Smoon- Telwat say. Nfur peeps, bleh no tex. Mush. (Cinnamoon- In parentheses, tell us what you are saying. It eliminates misinterpretations and just makes it easier to read. And for various other people, Ble is not texting or leet. That means no numbers, no slashes, etc. You can’t say, “Ima go 2 da mall w/ my bff 4shiz b/c ai47 asd84bae0f8 4085yq 3460871403657 etc. etc. Also, direct mushing-down of words is usually discouraged. Paraphrase into a very simple sentence and then mush. For examples, see post 6.)
(226) Smorfy. (It’s also more fun that way.)
227- Yah. (Extremely more fun. That’s what Ble’s all about. Fun, and potential misinterpretations. With leet, text-speak, and direct mushing, there’s no room for error. How boring.)
I hatsle. Gni! (I have to go to sleep immediately to avoid collapsing of utter exhaustion. Good night…and good luck!)
5-Tleest u evr dd hv t. Im nt tht ancnt amser.
227-“smorfy” shdb wrd menng “mr fn”. t snds cul.

Trans! (Translate please!)
Nerd-Telwat say. (Tell us what you are saying. As I have said before, you need to translate your messages so we don’t misinterpret them.)
sr, btis urgh. (sure, but it’s annoying).
Blebleh. (Ble is annoying.)
235-No, nt ble tsef. tisde prnthss. (no, not ble itself. it’s the parentheses)
235- Point yah? (That’s the point, right?)
236- Meh. (Well, if you don’t, then we have no way to know what you’re saying. If you really don’t want to translate, then I guess I’ll just choose to be to lazy to figure your posts out.)
Mublo: thopla blint (Museblog: The One and Only Site in the entire expanse of interwebs containing conversations about ble…in ble…on a ble thread)
NAPOI? You told me to come here, but WHAT is happening?
*feels confused*
240- Redup. Spek. (Read the posts towards the top of the thread explaining how to speak Ble. Then join in our random conversations. Remember to put the translation in parentheses.)

254, 255- Nm bt i nd2 bwk-bwku jst 2 xpln. nd vod dpng. (No, but I needed to tell you just to explain. And avoid double posting.
Verwun- luk sum’n. (Everyone- Look at post 226. You don’t know how to speak Ble, so you need to be taught. Oh, and to add on to that post, you need to be able to pronounce your posts, so you can’t use just consonants. It should be a grunt or a mumble, not unintelligible grumbling.)
He. Rulbleh. (Hee hee. It’s sad when we need to make rules about this.)
rul?! (there were rules?!)
260 – Tis.
GEbleh. Broboth. Romrant.
Vegtal busong! Pikbun! AAAAAAAA!!!

263- Welmba. (Welcome back!)
264- bame. (too bad for me…)
264 – Toruls. Toraseune. (There are two rules. And the second rule practically erases the first one.)
266-Nein. Ulrn. (no, not too bad for you. U just need to learn.)
268- esdo. (yes i do…)
Minbleh. Braibleh. Brobothbothbothbleh.

And now for something completely different!
Solstice is today. Any opinons on Solstice?)

I’m having a bad day.)
Shakeyay. (I, too, am very fond of Shakespeare.)
272- Fave? Hamyay.

Mgon wins woosh bad slep. (While I was away on vacation, some storms with 90+ MPH winds blew a bunch of trees down. I’ve been working for 6 hours cleaning up. I haven’t slept in about 30 hours because of the stupid flight from London to Chicago to {insert_city_here}.)
