Welcome, RF!
First, check out the bunny entry in the Muse Glossary. The editors started running them as an emergency measure during the great Muse Mail Cat-vs.-Dog Flame Wars of 2003 and 2004. Unexpectedly, Musers fell in love with them, and they took on a life on their own. Nowadays hpbs are more talked-about than seen, but they’re still popular (and, of course, excruciatingly cute).
By the way, we prefer that you put real e-mail addresses in your comment form, just in case any question arises about your identity. You seem real, but one never knows.
