Happy 150th Birthday, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle!

Even now, your Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson seem realer than many people we see every day.

Unfortunately, I have never gotten around to reading his works, but I intend to over the summer. Is it necessary to read them chronologically., or do they have an overlying plot that carries from book to book? Also, how many of the books are there?
    First post?

Elementry, Brendan. The only continous theme is that Sherlock Holmes is a genius.

“Holmes” doesn’t call me “Watson” as often anymore. I suppose AthenianPsycho has run out of school mysteries to investigate.
The dirt pile thing, however, was interesting.

    Elementary, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle!

I just read The Hound of Baskerville last week. It’s funny how the culprits are kind of obvious to me from the beginning. Example: He’s a butterfly collector. If he is a murderer, then he is crazy and would pin his victims up on a card and watch them squirm, like butterflies. See what wacko thoughts I think?
    Anyway… Happy Birthday!

    Dear Sir Conan Doyle,
It is a shame that your fans rebelled against your killing of Mr. Holmes. I thought he went out in a splendid fashion, if you hadn’t been forced to bring him back.
    Regards,
    The Bookworm.
P.S: You may wish to inspect the treatment of Mortiarty in The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. He may be slightly worse for the wear. Mycroft is fine, however.

6.1- Which are the younger kid ones? (I’ve read HMI, yeah. It was good, but it needed a sequel.)

Well, I haven’t read one of his Legend of…. books, or the two Benny ones.
      Sequel…. I want sequel… Supernaturalist and HMI need sequels….

Airman was amazing! And I love the Artemis Fowl books! I have to admit, though, I like the first 3 the best.

Hey!! Now it’s like May, so it’s kinda close to the 155th birthday now. I have read some of the Sherlock Holmes books and they are pretty awesome.

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY :)
