Many MuseBloggers belong to choirs or choruses, perform in musicals, or find other ways to use their voices for purposes other than talking. It’s clear that you’re bursting to discuss this topic, so… *blows into pitch pipe*

I’ll start this one with two questions:
(1) Clara, how is “Peter Pan” coming along?
(2) Are there any Musers out there who can’t sing at all? Such unfortunates do exist.
i sung in corus a long time ago…
i left because i couldnt hald a tune without help and i liked my clairinet better…
But while i was in corus i had a great deal of fun
ummmmmmmmmmmmmmm
i can sing ( according to membes of my family) but i dont really do it .
LAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA DE LAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
I can sing in a group with other, mellower voices to reduce the chances of my own being heard, but solo? Forget about it.
*sings quite loudly*
The saahhn is sinking loow
in the skyyyy above the shooookkken
the pines and the wiiilllowwss
kno-ow sooon we will pa-art
And the whiiisper in the wiiiind
full of prrahmises unspoken
And the love that will always ree-
and that, luckily for you, is all i know of that song, because my chorus teacher ordered it, and it hasn’t come yet, so all she has it the first coulpla pages that they give you before hand.
I can’t sing! I can’t sing!
I can’t sing (well). My piano teacher always used to make me sing at recitals, but needless to say, she stopped.
I’m a horrible singer. Plain terrible. Even my friends tell me so. My really nice friends, several of whom also can’t sing. I’ll be like “my voice is terrible” and one of them (who hasn’t heard me sing) will go “no, I’m sure you’re not”. Then I’ll sing something. In about thirty seconds the person will go “yeah, you can’t sing”. I’m just terrible.
one time the corus + i were in an all day rehersal
for the big consert that night and we were singing something i can’t remember now but i zoned out while looking at the do re mi fa so la ti do poster on the wall that all corus teachers eem to have and sang whatever we were singing perfectly. to bad the back wall of the aditorium wasn’t nearly so interesting
Peter Pan is awesome, we are working on act II, and it is really fun!
My mom is a voice teacher
I can’t sing wonderfully, in my opinion. But I love music and I’m not too terrible, so I sing in chorus and I’m a relucant member of the cast of my school’s production of Oliver.
In Oliver I’m also helping out with set-building/making/whatever… That’s what I’m really looking forward to, I’m afraid.
I am a pretty good singer. i can sing pretty well… i am an alto/soprano considering that i can reach both octaves equally… strange isn’t it?
we actually hav a music thread now?! oh i thank thee! *sings praises on high*
ive been in choir for almost 3 years, + its my favourite class. its nice having it 1st hr, b/c, haha (sry), it starts the day off on a good note. every spring, the high skool choirs hav a relly big concert where ppl do songs from the 90s-its almost like a real concert.
i can almost do 2 octaves. almost. like, a half step away from being able. makes me mad.
i’ve only been in choir this year; my other schools didn’t have it. but i really like it and everyone is really nice! i’m an alto; i cant go higher than that D an octave above middle C (if that makes sense…). but the bases still have the coolest part.
viva viva la musica viva viva la musica viva la musica
i ♥ that chant/song
im like 1+2soprano/alto/tenor.
yes i have a very high voice, why do you ask?
ahh.. me? sing? oh sure. But, if you value your eardrums, I would suggest being at least a couple miles away when I do it.
Actuall,y Im not that bad, I guess. Ive never had much experiens, other than singing along with my music, and I usually cant hear myself then. My main problem is actually hitting the right notes. Which happens to be one of the most vital parts of singing.Oh well.
I enjoy singing and participate in musicals. I was in Fiddler on the Roof in January. My voice is pretty but it tends to go off key unless I listen to myself sing.
i used to be in choir and it was really fun, but i don’t really have the time…
No time to sing?
If you have time to talk you have time to sing.
…………….-Mr. Darling (from the andy grifith show)
or if you have time to blog…….LaLaLaLaLaLaLa
I am not in chorus, but, wait, AHHH, don’t pie me yet!!!!! I was in a school that sang a lot, and we did songs every morning. And then my church, which is a strange church in the least, did a christmas padgent with the wizard of oz. Somehow our pastor made the end link with christmas. Don’t ask me how, cause I’m not quite sure. Any ways, I was tin man, and I had to sing the songs they did in the movie. It was fun. Except the make up. Yes, I was grey
In second grade my teacher put time aside everyday for singing. It was really fun, and I think it helped the classroom run more smoothly. Ya know, working of that hyperactive energy doing something nice like singing or something. I think Ill go post about that teacher on the Cool Teachers thread…
the chorus from my school is going to DC at the ende of april to sing in some basicilica (sp?) place. totally rad.
I’m in a choir, and I’ve been in it since I was seven, so this is like my ninth year in it, I think. For three years I was in the part of it that went on tours out of state. With the choir I toured to Oregon, which was fun, but wasn’t new, ’cause I’ve got relatives who live their and have been there many times, I also went to Canada, and, actually, that was the only time I’ve ever been to Canada. I know, it’s weird, me living up here in Alaska, right next door to Canada, and I was 13 before I ever went there.
I’ve also gone to England, France, Germany, and Luxembourg with choir. That was all on one two week tour. It was fun! I’ve actually been to England twice. The first time was when my sister was on tour with choir, and my parents and I tagged along. We also went to Scotland and WAles that tour.
I love England, it’s beautiful! The countryside, that is. I don’t like the cities, namely London. It’s huge and awfully dirty. I mean, when I was in Paris, the streets were SO clean. Then in London, they were covered in garbage. Of course, it doesn’t help matters much that my Mom and I got lost in London after dark, trying to find our way back to our hotel from the London Eye. We got lost on the way there, also, but not as bad, ’cause everybody in London knows more or less how to get to the Thames where the Eye is than how to get to some hotel.
I love the castles. Castles are awesome!! I also enjoyed the Eiffel Tower. Did you know they only let people walk up to the second level, now? They stopped letting people walk up to the top level because to many people had heart attacks or so our tour guide said… They let you take an elevator up to the top, though. It was kind of scary though, ’cause you’re up so high, and I swear it feels like it’s actually swaying slightly in the breeze. Of course, that could have been my imagination, too. I climbed up to the second level, then I walked back down again, but it was raining, so the stairs were slick, and I slipped and fell down half a dozen on my butt. Oh, well. What was really kind of annoying, was when I held the railing to keep from slipping again, the brownish-red paint came off on my hands. It was gross! I took the elevator all the way up the first time before climbing the stairs.
Anyway, this is sort of off subject, although not really, since all of these things happened when I was on tour with choir…
I’m in a touring girls choir. It is really fun
#24: that is so neat! my friend is in france right now…*is envious *
IM SITTING HERE, + IM SINGINNNNNNNNNNNNNNNG!!!
what, youve nvr seen Elf?
im just excited b/c my range has gone up an entire octave in the last 2 years (from the B after middle C to the B# after the next C; that might make sense to music ppls) i thought that almost nvr happened to ppl, but i guess the same thing happened to my friend, although ive nvr heard her sing…
IM SINGING NOW, + IM IMPROVINNNNNNNNNG!!!
oh,as in improv-ing , as in improvising. hehe ppl were probably like wha…?
I always enjoyed the tours where we did choral workshops with these famous conductors.
I especially enjoyed the ones with the British conductors. I LOVE British accents.
In summer ’04, we participated in a choral festival at Canterbury. The conductors were David Flood, who’s British, and Henry Leck, who’s from the US. Anyway, I like Flood way better.
We went to a music festival last year and there was a choir from Alaska…
#29, Malignant Mandolin, do you remember what the Alaska choir was called? Where was the festival, and, if the administrators’ll let you, what was the name of the festival? By last year, do you mean summer ’04, or ’05?
i wish i had a brittish accent. or a pakistani accent. my friend has the latter (but only when she wants to; she can control it), and it sounds so cool. i know another person with a russian accent, and it’s really cool, too.
chorus is cool. we have songs in all sorts of languages. italian, gaelic, latin, etc…. fun.
I love to sing.
My singing idol, is French pop singer Erik Karol (air-eek care-ol).
He has the most beautiful voice I’ve ever heard. He can do fallceto, and has great harmony. He also has the ability to sing in a way that sounds gentle and reassuring, and yet powerful at the same time.
Erik does the singing for one of the Cirque Du Soleil theater company’s many fantastic performances. The show is called Dralion, and you can order the DVD and soundtrack, on CirqueDuSoleil.com
I highly reccomend the Dralion soundtrack. All of the songs are sung in foreing languages, but they are incredibly lovely. Track 4, is sung in Latin, and track 6, which happens to be my second most favorite song in the world, is sung in Italian. It’s called Ballare, which means dance.
So get off the blog for a minute and go to Cirque.com so you can add this wonderful singer to your collection.
Bye.
I love to sing I am in a children’s chior. I also play the piano(grade 7) and the flute. I absolutly adore music.
ooh, i heart cirque du soliel! i hav one of their soundtracks, + theres this group called Alegria in it, + the ladys voice is amazing. they hav their own cd, but i havent been able to get it
I’m SUCH a music freak! I play 2 instruments really well, 1 well enough to play it in 8th grade marching band(the best one in the state, though, so don’t let the middle school thing daunt you) and 1 well enough to keep people from making faces at me. The last one would be the flute. The thing just won’t play for me.
Same with me, Dark Lord of Darkness
Though I like to sing along to the multi-language reel of “Hakuna Matata”. Weeeeeeeeiiiiiiiiirrrrrrd…… And I also can sing the end of “Can’t Wait to Be King” in Hebrew….. I’m working on being able to sing the entire thing…..
I wish I had a half-herbew keyboard like at hebrew school, I’d show you…..
i know disney movies are kind of sappy + all that, but does anyone else like the disney version of “the prince of egypt?” i heart it! its my favourite musical ever.
I accually am boyoctting Disney currently because I don’t like their politics and because they won’t do 2-D: Only 3-D. Also, bad storys. I only buy the old hand-drawn classics, and I buy them used.
the prince of egypt was disney? i liked the art in it.
my favourite musical is most undeniably THE BLUES BROTHERS. i have the soundtrack on my iPod.
“We’re on a mission from God.”
“We have bothe kinds of music here: Country and Western!”
“We’re the Good ‘Ole Boys!”
disney’s signature looks like “Gisnep”.
Michelle – I don’t remember what the choir was called, but it was at a music festival in Florida (Orlando)
ok story tyme.
2 yrs ago, when my choir was getting ready to do Vivaldis Gloria (thats a relly long Gloria-as in 45 min to sing all the movements), and we had this relly cool guest conductor (i think he conducts a fairly well known choir in the DC area…cant believe i forgot where it was). anyhow, the alto section wasnt doing so well, mostly b/c of the lack of confidence. so mr cool conductor guy randomly asks all the sections to sing something except for the altos. + then we were just like “oh yeah, figures. lets go eat worms”-+ then we realized something. w/o our section, the choir relly sucked. then mr conductor guy told all 4 sections to sing, + then was like “well, doesnt that sound better?”
yay for cool conductor guy
EG,
Was it Donald McCullough from the Master Chorale? He fits the description.
hey i think that was him!^^
40. It took me FOREVER to figure out it said Disney.
Never seen the Prince of Egypt!
Prince of Egypt is DreamWorks, not Disney.
I can sing, sort of. I don’t do choir, but if I did, I’d probably be an alto. Dunno what my range is in terms of notes, but it’s something like an octave and a half.
MM, 41, guess it wasn’t my choir then…I don’t think we’ve ever gone to a festival in Orlando, FL. I KNOW we haven’t recently, at least…
…forgot to add one of my big obnoxious…staves…(is it?) – to this thread.

Okay, so, I sing all the time and desperately want to be the lead singer of an emo-goth rock band. I idolize Gerard Way (and love him too) so I hope to be able to atleast sing a little bit like him.
okay, so i’m the only one who is emo enough to want to be in an emo-goth rock band. everyone else talks about choir. tre sad. the world of metal must be dying in the middle school world.
being the singer of a symphonic death band would be cool. sorry, but i do not like mcr. *gets killed by emogurl and pixie corpse and everyone else who loves them*
if said band had chanting and opera-esque interludes (sp?).
#52: (said w/ german accent; i dont know why) WHAT?!
ze keedz zees dais!
sry, im hyper again. yeah, i can totally see why someone would not like mcr…even though i completely idolize them…but yeah.
#51: ive had a dream like that for almost my whole life, actually. yeah, lifelong musik freak. my friend + i tried to start a band 2 years ago, but it didnt get anywhere. being in a rock band…that would totally pwn.
i just downloaded the desert song yesterday (from life on the murder scene). omg, so im kind of emotional + all, but it takes a relly good song to get me near tears, + that song did. i ♥ it.
Now that we have a sinign thread can we have a band thread too?
Or an orchestra thread.
the Prince Of Egypt is Dreamworks
ok alright its dreamworks! i didnt know! put down the pies already.
Got to fight another fight – I gotta run another night
Get it out – check it out
I’m on my way and I don’t feel right
I gotta get me back – I can’t be beat and that’s a fact
It’s OK – I’ll find a way
You ain’t gonna take me down no way
Don’t judge a thing until you know what’s inside it
Dont’ push me – I’ll fight it
Never gonna give in – never gonna give it up no
If you can’t catch a wave then your’e never gonna ride
You can’t come uninvited
Never gonna give in – never gonna give up no
You can’t take me I’m free
Why did it all go wrong? – I wanna know what’s going on
And what’s this holding me?
I’m not where I supposed to be
I gotta fight another fight
I gotta fight will all my might
I’m getting out , so check it out
Ya, you’re in my way
So you better watch out
From Spirit: Stallion Of The Cimarron
Yay, emogirl like mcr. another member added to the cult. so emogirl. what was your bands name? when I am in a band I want to call it skeleton tophat. By the way, I’m statingit here and now that Gerard Way is MINE. And that I really want life on the murder scene. After “I brought you my bullets, you brought me your love” and “three cheers for sweet revenge” I only hop life on the murder scene is good. It came out on the same day as From First to Last “Heroine.” I love Sonny too. I have thsi thing about lead singers. I actually like everyone in mcr, but mainly Gerard. And, by the way, fi none of you musebloggers out there don’t like mcr. it’s probably because you’re like my mom who hates metal and thinks it’s senseless screaming. Don’t worry, I understand. the life of an underprivalidged unloving metall fan is all right, but metal loving is infinitely better. Sorry to diss you XP*shrugs apologetically*.
anyone here like I Am Ghost?
anyone here like Hawthorne Hights?
thanks Ellen, for letting me copy all of your metal cds. without them, I’d be hopeless.
Hang on, how old are you emogirl? Are you like over 30 cause you said ‘the kids these days’? (I really am an unfeeling person, so if you feel dissed, sucks for you).
FrankenFaerie, watch out, because I’m coming after you. I’m going to bite you with my vampire fangs and make you carry my band equipment MWAHAHAHAHAHA!
BEcause you dissed mcr. duh.
I am the undead queen of chain comments. WOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOO!!
Yes, you are. I play bass guitar along with cello, bassoon, and some flute, and I really want to play either bass or electric cello in a rock band. That would totally pwn. Electric cellos are awesome.
emogrl is 16 or something.
…wow, someone felt the need to banter…
im not that old! im just a high skooler w/ an advanced vocab!
other metal bands i luv:
LP
flyleaf
A7F
nickelback
…there are probably more…
yep^
comment 67, that is…
right. i was going to say something… aw deus i hav to be out of here in 1 minute! *sigh* i bid thee farewell…
I’m in a choir. We sing for church. it’s fun because our church isn’t exactly a parish becaause it’s the church of the institute where my dad is studying, so it’s small. and when we sing in English (most of the time it’s Latin) we need to sing whithe a Brittish accent. It sounds a lot better that way. I’m an alto.
Hello, Mirjana! We haven’t heard from you for a while. How is life in Austria?
emogrl, nickelback isn’t really metal.
Metal bands I like:
Him
The Used
MCR
Hawthorne Hights
I Am Ghost
Linkin Park
We get to have choir rehersal outside because of the nice weather
WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
62- she said that? i’m 15 and i say that…
63- band equipment carrying? i think not! but i will use lightning to re-animate dead things. so are you an immortal vampire or were you made a vampire? i am a night faerie. who doubles as a mad scientist. ok, not really, but i do have some spiffy wings. perhaps i shall diss mcr againe. *grins evilly* CoF beats them anyday (cradle of filth).
68- i like flyleaf LP and a7x but not nickleback. and i like disturbed.
i’m trying to convince some future freshpersons to join chorus.
i love music. music is like my life. i sing and play violin, although… im not particuarly fond of violin. and i listen to any music i can. most of the music i do listen ppl dont know about but hey… it’s music.
Music rocks. Especially rock music.
*is pied*
Ok, ok.
WE’RE GOING TO THE JAZZ FESTIVAL AT CAPITAL ON FRIDAY AND WE GET TO SKIP SKOOOOOL!!!! MWAHAHA!!!! GO JAZZ BAND!!!!!
YAY JAZZ!!! rock is my favorite too. but not all rock.
what i dont like is rap and country. no offense anyone…
I like the prince of egypt sountrack. It’s really cool, even though I am not religious. I love to sing a lot though I don’t sing in a group. My friend who is an ultra-critic even thinks I sing really well.
57: *SCREAM* Mentally, at least. It’s a bit late for that.
I LOVE the Spirit soundtrack. Major rockage.
62 (Pixie Corpse)- I think its safe to assume that Frakenfaerie was joking when she said that!
I only really listen to classical music…..
i like classical but it’s kinda too boring for me… when im hyper that is.
I like to sing when I’m by myself, especially Wicked, and I was in my school’s 6th grade chorus, which wasn’t that great anyway. My parents tell me I’m good, though.
I’m pretty awkward with singing certain things. A lot of the time I sing something, and it gets too low, so I have to sing it an octave higher, so then I can’t get the high notes. It really bothers me. So I have to sing something that’s good, or else I keep switching octaves and it sounds really bad.
i want to see Wicked really bad! i heard a few songs from it and they sounded awesome! i love singing too. i sing in two choirs. one stinks, one is ok. i can’t sing very high or very low either.
i have a question for the GAPA. why do you need our e-mail? just wondering.
We ask for your e-mail addresses for two reasons:
(1) The blogging software automatically creates comment forms with blank boxes for e-mail addresses, and we haven’t figured out how to leave them out.
(2) Sometimes we have questions about a post or suspect that an adult might be posing as a kid. When that happens, it’s handy to to be able to contact the poster directly instead of asking questions in front of everybody else. We almost never have to do that, though, and we absolutely never use the e-mail addresses for anything else.
Some MuseBloggers fill in the blank with obviously bogus e-mail addresses. We let them post but keep a closer than usual eye on them. So far, I’m glad to say, we’ve had nothing remotely resembling serious trouble here.
I can’t sing for beans. I sound like a seagull impersonating Mark Knopfler. I don’t even sing the camp songs, I just mouth the words to them. Unfortunately, most of my friends have wonderful professional-singer voices, which are sweet and soothing. But I can play lots of music!
I love to sing! And I play piano and trumpet. I think that music is fantastic and I can’t get enough of it. Sometimes I can’t believe that people can come up with this stuff. It’s so amazing! Composers are brilliant! *Sigh* I wish I were one.
Sometimes I listen to a song, and I think of a way a band could play it. Like- “Hmm. The flutes could do a nice light melody here, while Galinda’s singing, then now, when everybody else is going ‘No one mourns the Wicked’ ect., the trombones would come in with a dark-sounding dun-da-da-dun-da-duuuuuunn, then the trumpets would do a little fanfare or something, then the talking comes in.” Yeah. Like that.
Mmm Grande Dillemma (sp?)
My marching band is going to the Macy’s Day parade next year, and we’re going to get to do some other things while we’re in New York. One of them is to go see a musical. I have a bunch of choices, and one of them is Wicked. I had never heard of it until I came on the Museblog, and you guys all seem to love it so Im thinking maybe I should pick that one. But its 50 extra bucks to see Wicked, and its already a LOT of money to go to NY in the 1st place. So could you guys tell me a bit about it so I can deccide if its worth the money?
There’s a wicked thread on here somewhere that probably has a lot of info from THE PAST (bum bum buuuum). i’ve never seen it, but i read the book and it was pretty good. It’s sort of a wizard of oz story from the witch’s point of view, but it’s nothing like the wizard of oz AT ALL so if u go don’t expect wizard of oz type stuff. I’ve heard it has really good songs too.
ooh does anyone like P!@tD? i just got the cd yesterday, + ive listned to the tacks for snacks song… 5.5 times now… dont even think about saying youre more of a musik freak than i am… ha.
yeah, singing is cool. im in the school concert choir (which is boring) and the show choir (which is cooler because we actually win competitions and we get to perform more and dance, its also way smaller) im definitly an alto and am extremly jealous of whoever said their range improved a lot because i cant sing very well above the B flat just after middle C.
hey, anyone have any suggestions for good audition pieces? i need something decent to try out for show choir again but it cant have a really wide range. i also am trying to find a song i can either act out/dance to/have a costume because it gives you extra points. so far im having no luck and its making me unhappy.
yes the Wicked music rocks and im sooo excited because i get to see it in June. except we’ve got really bad seats.
39. the blues brothers are awesome!!! ive seen that movie so many times, its really funny
98- i have a friend who likes them…..their songs (at least the ones i’ve heard) are pretty goode.
What in gadzooks happened to my name at post # 32?
That’s strange?
Well in case you were wondering, that C is for Cedar.
Odd.
# 34- EMORGRL!
I’m glad you enjoy Cirque.
As for getting you hands on the Alegria soundtrack, I would reccomend either:
cirquedusoleil.com (Go to the music section)
or
amazon.com (Go to the music section again)
Good luck.
hey thanks!
i actually just found out that its @ my local borders. yays
oh im in a choir and im a mainish character in pirates of penzance
im isabel and i have 3 solo lines 17 shared lines and 8 d=songs o have 2 learn
DraMaqueen is also in the play shes a police
I’m in a circus!!
It is really fun
We get to ride unicycles and walk on balls and juggle, etc.
Touring gets tiring, though, because sometimes I miss school, then I have to make it up, and whenever we go to different time zones, I get a kind of a jet-lag type thing
Your welcome emogrl!
Glad to help.
My niece loves the theme from Alegria.
It’s the first song on the album.
Hope you enjoy it.
we got the musik for small ensemble auditions next week. its a poem (turned into a song) by e e cummings. its always a poem turned song by e e cummings. every year. i hate it. could they make musik any more boring?
Hi.
I’m Julia….new here.
I like musicals.
Like I’m a super big theatre-geek.
I’m going to be in Joseph & ATD soonish.
But enough about me….what voice-things do you guys like?
Sorry, I lied. More about me.
I’m a super-huge-big Renthead. And I do not say that lightly.
I also like Wicked, Hairspray, Phantom of the Opera, and many others.
Now more about /you/. Tell me about yourself.
Welcome, Julia!
Emogrl (107) — Is the song “All in green went my love riding”? Just guessing.
Hi, Julia,
Welcome to MuseBlog.
I’m one of the moderators for the MuseBlog. I’m not much of a singer, though I did take singing lessons just for fun to see if I could ever sing really well. No such luck.
The teacher told me that my singing would get better with practice but would never be really great. That’s because I apparently have a “donut voice”! My teacher defined that as a voice that’s strong in the high and low ranges but not so great in the middle.
So now I’ve told you a little about myself.
One more thing: I love Joseph and the Technicolor Dream Coat!
Spifs. Nice to meet you both.
I’ve been told I have a good voice, but I have and iPod impairment-I can never sing on key when listening to my iPod.
Yeah, Joseph isn’t one of my favorites, ALW has done /much/ better works. I’ve always wanted to do Cats, I love the music, even though I find the musical itself a bit…boring.
108- hairspray? was that the musical with DANCING QUEEN in it? oh, and welcomeeeeee!
You are the dancing queen, young and sweet, only seventeen
Dancing queen, feel the beat from the tambourine
You can dance, you can jive, having the time of your life
See that girl, watch that scene, dig in the dancing queen
yayness.
my comment is awaiting moderation?!
#109: its called “a pretty day” yeah, its just as exciting as it sounds.
No, “Dancing Queen” was in Mamma Mia. Mamma Mia= ABBA=evil.
Mamma Mia has all ABBA songs. Badbadbad.
Daylight
See the dew on a sunflower
And a rose that is fading
Roses wither away
Like the sunflower I yearn to turn my face to the dawn
I am waiting for the day.
I love to sing, but my singing drives everyone around me bonkers. Even though I have a pretty good voice and range. But I still annoy everyone.
ooooooooooh. ok then. abba does indeed equal eville!
(114) Woah. Thanks for enlightening me about Mamma Mia. I know it’s not cool to admit it, but I like ABBA. That musical sounds great!
ABBA all the way and not all mama mia songs were abba
hey Pixie Corpse:
*giggle* you probably already know this little bit of trivia, but Gerards bday is this Sunday!
well, i will definitely hav a party all by myself, + ill hav fun too!
in other words, i relly am a loser
*mutters* fangirls….
i seriously don’t get the whole gerard-thing.
can someone please explain to me why he is hott?
besides, his brother is way better-looking. but not so much that he’s reached the hott point.
117-hey, i like ABBA! What i’ve heard of them that is, which is admittedly very little…
Ugh. I hate ABBA…They just drvie me insane. There’s only one song from Mamma Mia that I like a little- Mamma Mia.
The rest are just so corny and annoying.
I know, they’re corny and annoying. That’s part of the greatness.
OK, I have to admit, that even I, an Abba fan, can’t listen to more than one Abba song in a row. I need a detox period of at least two days. The songs are just toooooo catchy for me to handle in large doses.
what is ABBA? you people wr singing some abba song befor, on th randomness thread.
oh yeah, mikey is definitely hot. yeah. so is frankie.
*sigh*
aerial ballet is hard….
ABBA is annoying Swedish band from the 80’s.
70s, too.
Hes a Tramp
But they love him
Breaks a new hear every day
Hes a Tramp
They adore him
And I only hope he’ll stay that way
Hes a Tramp. Hes a Scoundrel. Hes a Rounder, hes a Cad.
Hes a Tramp. But I love him.
Yes even i have got it pretty bad.
You never know when he’ll show up
He gives you plenty of trouble
But I wish, that he were double
Hes a Tramp
Hes a Rooooooover
I forgot this line
If hes a Tramp, hes a good one
and I wish that I could travel his way. Wish that I could travel his way.
Got almost all of it down
. And, I can make my voice soiund like anybody (Female, anyways….) or anything, including Peggy Lee. I can also do an antropomorphic mouse pretty well….. and cardinal call….
I’m working on singing this for…. nothing really. I can already do the entire Siamese cat song by heart, in the siamese voice. And Can You feel The Love Tonight….. and both versions of Bella Notte. Yep, I’m obsessed.
I love the Siamese cat song!!
ABBA is only goode for one thing: annoying people to death.
We are siamese if you please
We are siamese if you don’t please
Now we’re looking over our new domicile
If we want we stay for maybe quite a while
I love that song! It’s funny
…i cant get this stupid poem/song thingie out of my head! curse you e e cummings!
is HEEEEEEERE + AWaHAyyyy but booooorn are MAAAAAAIDS…
maybe its not supposed to make any sense…
And then they harass the poor goldfish.

OMG! Peter Pan is so awesome. I fence, and so does tha Captain Hook, so we might be able to use fencing equipment in the sword-fighting scenes with Peter and Hook!
hold it down while typing. sort-of like you hold down the shift key to get capital letters! CAPITAL ♪♫
It doesn’t work on my computer. I have a mac. Does that affect anything?
ooh. i guess it might.
you could probably copy&paste them…

Still doesn’t work for me, but that’s probably because I have a mac
Yay, billy joel!
What’s the matter with the clothes I’m wearing?
“Can’t you tell that your tie’s too wide?”
Maybe I should buy some old tab collars?
“Welcome back to the age of jive
Where have you been hidin’ out lately, honey?
You can’t dress trashy till you spend a lot of money”
Everybody’s talkin’ ’bout the new sound
Funny, but it’s still rock and roll to me
What’s the matter with the car I’m driving?
“Can’t you tell that it’s out of style?”
Should I get a set of white wall tires?
“Are you gonna cruise a miracle mile?
Nowadays you can’t be too sentimental
You best bet’s a true baby blue Continental”
Hot funk, cool punk, even if it’s old junk
It’s still rock and roll to me
Oh, it doesn’t matter what they say in the papers
‘Cause it’s always been the same old scene
There’s a new band in town
But you can’t get the sound from a story in a magazine…
Aimed at your average teen
How about a pair of pink sidewinders
And a bright orange pair of pants?
“You could really be a Beau Brummel baby
If you just give it half a chance
Don’t waste your money on a new set of speakers
You get more mileage from a cheap pair of sneakers”
Next phase, new wave , dance craze, anyways
It’s still rock and roll to me
What’s the matter with the crowd I’m seeing?
“Don’t you know that their out of touch?”
Should I try to be a straight ‘A’ student?
“If you are then you think too much
Don’t you know about the new fashion honey?
All you need are looks and a whole lotta money”
It’s the next phase, new wave , dance craze, anyways
It’s still rock and roll to me
Everybody’s talkin’ ’bout the new sound
