out of respct for michelle, i shall not post on this thread until she does.
I like Harry Potter. That’s all!
Welcome, Annna!
While we wait for Michelle’s next chapter, you new MuseBloggers in particular might enjoy glancing at the Muse/Harry Potter fanfiction I posted on the blog last year. So far there’s just Chapter One and Chapter Two.
Hello, here’s some more of my story. It’s starts on post 325 of the old Potter thread. If you don’t read the beginning, this will probably be somewhat confusing. If you haven’t read the first five books and don’t want to know anything that happens in those books, I would recommend you don’t read this, since it does refer to things that have previously happened.
CHAPTER TWO
DETENTION
The next morning Hermione woke Rose up early in the morning and said, ‘Come on, Rose, you need to get up if you don’t want to be late.’
‘Huh, wha’?’ Rose asked groggily.
‘It’s time to get up.’
‘Oh, so early?’
‘Hey, I let you sleep in a little, but it’s really not that early. You’ll get used to it.’
‘Maybe,’ Rose said and crawled slowly out of bed.
‘Your Gryffindor scarf’s on the bed,’ Hermione said motioning to the foot of Rose’s bed.
Rose put it in her trunk and said puzzled, ‘It wasn’t here last night.’
‘Dobby brought it sometime during the night.’
‘Dobby? Isn’t that the house-elf that tried to keep Harry from coming to school for his second year?’
‘Yes.’
‘They shouldn’t use house-elves. They’re practically human.’
‘I know. Come on, we’d better head down to breakfast.’
They hurried and saw Harry and Ron already eating in the Great Hall.
‘Hey, sleepy heads,’ Harry called.
They walked over and Rose said, ‘You try flying here from the US and see how tired you are.’
‘Not, thanks. I definitely think I’ll pass.’
They ate the rest of their meal in silence. After they were done Hermione said, ‘Come on, we have to leave now if we’re going to make it to Potions on time.’
Harry groaned and said, ‘Not Potions.’
Rose looked at him curiously and asked, ‘What’s wrong with that? Potions is one of my favourite classes.’
‘It might not be that bad, except for the fact the teacher hates me because he hated my father.’
‘I doubt he hates you.’
‘He does. So, what are your other favourite classes?’
‘Defence Against the Dark Arts. Though it doesn’t sound like it’s going to be very fun with Toadie teaching it. Say, we keep going downwards, is Potions in the cellar or something?’
‘More like the dungeons,’ Ron said darkly.
They walked down one more flight of stairs before they reached Potions. They went in and were surprised to see they were the first ones there.
‘So, Potter, you’re on time for once,’ said Professor Snape.
They ignored him and he didn’t say anything else. It wasn’t long before other people started arriving. Though even during these short five minutes Rose almost fell asleep.
While Snape was taking the Resgister, she did fall asleep. Even when he called her name, she didn’t wake up.
Draco and his bunch all started snickering at this.
‘Silence! I will not tolerate that kind of rudeness in this class. Malfoy 500 points from Slytherin.’
Draco opened his mouth to respond, but thought better of it.
Snape walked over to where Rose was sitting and said softly, ‘Rose, you need to wake up,’ as he gently shook Rose.
She jerked upright and blinked her eyes as if sh e didn’t remember where she was. She shook her head slightly to clear it and said, ‘Oh, sorry, sir.’
He smiled, something he rarely, if ever, did, and said, ‘That’s all right. I understand you just flew in yesterday and must be tired.’
Rose smiled back and said, ‘Yes, sir, I am. I’ll try and stay awake for the rest of the class though.’
He smiled again and said, ‘Don’t worry about it. I fyou fall asleep, you’ll probably catch up pretty quickly.’ He then walked back up to the fr ont of the class and said, ‘Today we are going to make a Laughing Potion. If made wrong, well, if made wrong quite a few things could happen, but nothing fatal.’
He passed out ingredients and told everyone who they would be paired with. When he passed Rose he said, ‘Rose, you’ll be paired with Malfoy.’ He then leaned closer and said, ‘Feel free to make it however you want.’
Rose grinned and nodded, ‘Don’t worry, I will.’
He smiled and said, ‘I figured you would.’
He then moved on and told everyone else who they were paired with.
‘So,’ Malfoy sneered, ‘I’m paired with you.’
Rose smiled sweetly and said, ‘Yes, cousin, I know.’
When they st arted mamking the potion, Rose put one tablespooon of powdered hag’s flesh, which was supposed to go in last, into her cauldron.
Hermione noticed this and mouthed, ‘Rose, that was supposed to go in last.’
‘I know,’ Rose mouthed back.
Hermione looked at her quizzically and mouthed, ‘You’ll see.’
Hermione shrugged and returned to her potion.
Rose let Malfoy add all the rest of the ingredients called for.
When everyone was done, Snape said, ‘Now I am going to look at your potions and then have one person in each group sample it.’
He walked around the room, looked at everybody’s potions, and then said, ‘Malfoy, you are first.’
As Malfoy was drinking a cup of it Rose said, ‘Jeesh, Crabbe and Goyle’s potion looks terrible.’ It really did, but that wasn’t the reason she said that.
Malfoy looked over there just as he finished the cup of the potion, and his eyes glazed over. He started walking towards Crabbe and Goyle saying, ‘Oh, Crabbe, I love you sweetheart. Please let me kiss you.’
Crabbe sood there in shock as Malfoy threw his arms around him and kissed him vigorously on the lips.
When this happened, everybody started giggling and even Snape was smiling.
Snape walked over to a shelf in the room, grabbed a vial of liquid, and brought it over to where Malfoy was kissing Crabbe again.
‘Goyle,’ he said, ‘hold Malfoy while I make him drink this.’
Snape poured the liquid down Malfoy’s throat and Malfoy sputtered and said, ‘What is that nasty stuff?’
Snape smiled sweetly and said, ‘Antidote for the Love Potion you just made.’
Malfoy turned bright red as he realised what he’d just done. He glared at Rose and said, ‘She made it wrong on purpose just to humiliiate me. I know it!’
‘You’re wrong,’ Snape said quietly, ‘I saw you make it wrong, probably on purpose to try and get Rose in trouble. Ever since you frist laid eyes on her, you’ve hated her with all your heart because she is smarter than you are, and cares for her friends. And in the process of sticking up for them, broke your jaw.’
‘Tell me what I did wrong then.’
Snape sneered and said, ‘I’m not going to waste my time explalining it to you if you’re such a numbskull you can’t figure it out for yourself. Rose knows what you did wrong, don’t you, Rose?’
‘Yes, sir, I do.’
‘You tell me then if you’re so smart,’ Malfoy snapped.
‘Sorry, but I have to agree with Professor Snape.’
‘You don’t have to agree with anybody,’ he sneered.
‘Whatever,’ Rose said dismissively.
Snape had everyone proceed in sampling their potions, and only a couple other people made it wrong, though nnone were as hilarious as the Love Potion.
Once class was dismissed, Rose joined Harry, Hermione, and Ron and said, ‘Gosh, Potions is even more fun here than it was at home.’
Harry smiled and said, ‘It’s normally horrid. So, what did Draco do wrong?’
‘Nothing.’
‘What do you mean? Professor Snape said he did?’
‘I know what Professor Snape said. I also know that Professor Snape knows Malfoy did it right and that I purposely put an ingredient in where it wasn’t called for.’
‘How do you know he knows?’
‘When he told me my partner he also said “feel free to make it however you want”. So, I made a Love Potion and called Malfoy’s attention to Crabbe so he’d make a complete idiot out of himself.’
‘Seriously? He’s never done anything like that before, but then again he never smiles,’ Ron said.
‘Really? He seems to smile a lot.’
‘He doesn’t normally,’ Hermione said.
‘Hmm. Maybe he mae a pact to become better liked by all the students.’
‘Doubt it,’ Harry said.
Rose shrugged, ‘So, where’s Toadie’s class?’
‘Right here,’ Ron said pointing to a door in front of them.
They entered and saw that quite a few kids were already there.
Umbridge looked up as they entered and said, ‘My sister told me all about you, Potter, and I’m warning you, I won’t tolerate any lies from you about anything.’
Rose glared at her and said, ‘Look, Toadie, Harry does not lie. So your sister obviously must be extremely stupid, or a liar herself, to have said Harry lies. I would greatly appreciate it if you would not accuse of him of it himself after only having known him for a couple seconds.’
‘You have detention every night of the week from immediatelly after dinner to 10 o’clock PM. Also, you have lost the privilege to go to Hogsmeade this weekend.’ Umbridge scribbled somehing on a piece of paper and said, ‘Take this to Proessor McGonagall. Now.’
‘I don’t know where to find her.’
‘Her classroom, obviously.’
‘Yes, but I don’t know where that is. This is my first day here.’
‘Potter, escort her to Professor McGonagall’s and no dawdling.’
‘Come on, Rose,’ he said and took her hand and led her out of the room.
‘You know you really shouldn’t have said that,’ he told her.
‘I know.’
‘Rose, in detention her sister had a quill she made you use and when you wrote with it, it cut into your hand what you wrote.’
Rose smiled and said, ‘Don’t worry, Uncle Dimitrius taught me a spell that would keep something like that from cutting me. It would only look like it did.’
‘Will you teach it to me?’
‘Later. Say, you said that you know of a tunnel that leads to Hogsmeade, right?’
‘Yes, I used it a couple years ago. Why?’
Rose rolled her eyes and said, ‘I want to use it to sneak into Hogsmeade so that we can still have that date.’
‘Oh, we’ll have to share my Invisibility Cloak to do it without being seen.’
‘That’s fine. By the way, do you happen to know of a joke shop or anywhere I could find some awesome tricks to play on Toadie?’
‘Fred and George, Ron’s twin brothers, have a joke shop in Hogsmeade and I know that they would know of great tricks to play on her since they spent most of last year playing tricks on her sister.’
‘Sounds like a perfect place.’
‘Well, here’s Professor McGonagall’s. I better go now.’
‘Yeah, good idea. Bye.’
‘Bye.’
Rose entered and saw that Professor McGonagall was alone and said, ‘Professor Umbridge asked me to bring this to you.’
McGonagall took the note, ead it, and said, ‘Is this true?’
‘I don’t know. I didn’t think Toadie Umbridge would appreciaate me reading it,’ Rose said a little more rudely than she’d intended because of her anger at Umbridge..
‘Don’t get fresh with me, Rose Larson. I might be head of Gryffindor, but Harry will tell you that that does not mean I am unwilling to take points away from it,’ McGonagall said before she handed the note to Rose.
Rose mentally chided herself for her rudeness and said, ‘I’m sorry, ma’am, I’m jsut mad at Umbridge for her unfounded accusations.’ She glanced at the note and said, ‘Yes, it’s completely true.’
‘Rose, I realise that you like Harry, but that’s no excuse for your rudeness.’
‘How did you know I like Harry? You haven’t really seen me around him.’
‘When you get to be my age, these kinds of things are obvious.’
‘Really?’
‘Yes.’
‘Say, Professor, how can you have any respect for Umbridge after what her sister did to you?’
She sighed and said, ‘I don’t really, but you shouldn’t be so rude to any adult not matter how horrid.’
‘I shouldn’t even be rude to Voldemort if I ever him?’
‘No, becausse you should be busy trying to keep him from killing you.’
‘True.’
‘You need to get back to class now, and please promise me you’ll try to be more civil.’
‘I’ll try, but I can’t promise.’
‘Well, I suppose that’s all I can ask. Can you find your way back to class all right?’
‘Yes, I think so.’
‘Good.’
Rose left and returned to Umbridge’s class, which continued uneventfully.
After class Hermione said, ‘Sorry you don’t get to go to Hogsmeade.’
‘Oh, I’m going,’ Rose said. ‘Harry’s going to take me through the secret tu nnel he knows of to get me there.’
‘You really shouldn’t do that. You’ll almost for sure get caught, and then you’ll both be in big trouble.’
‘Oh well. It’s just I really want to go to Hogsmeade for a couple different reasons and ahve no wish to do anything Toadie tells me to do. If any of the other teachers had forbidden me to go, I truthfully would have obeyed them.’
‘Well, I suppose I can’t change your mind and am therefore stuck helping you two sneak out.’
‘You don’t have to help if you don’t want.’
‘No, that’s all right. You two are my friends and I feel I should help you, right or wrong.’
‘Thanks, Hermione.’
‘Hey, Rose, I think you’re going to like our Divination teacher, Firenze,’ Harry ysaid.
‘Oh, why?’
‘You’ll see.’
‘Whatever. Is this his classroom here?’ Rose asked motioning to a door to a door right down the hall.
‘Yes, it is. Come on, let’s go in.’
They entered and Rose gasped in surprise and said, ‘A centaur!’ Then she got a puzzled look on her face and said softly to Harry, ‘I thought centaurs didn’t really care for humans.’
‘We don’t generally,’ Firenze said, ‘but I was cast out of the Forbidden Forest not long after I rescued Harry and let him ride on my back to safety. So when Dumbledore asked me to teach, I agreed. May I ask waht you name is, young lady?’
‘Rose Larson, sir.’
‘Nice to meet you, Rose. Is Harry your boyfriend?’
‘No, not really. I mean, I just met him yesterday.’
‘Oh. I was just wondering since you two are holding hands.’
Rose looked down and realised that she was indeed holding Harry’s hand and blushed.
‘Hmm, I wonder where everyone else is,’ Hermione said to fill the silence.
‘Good question,’ Firenze said, ‘but I’m sure they’ll be here soon. Please, sit down.’
They sat down and Harry said, ‘So, am I right that you’re surprised?’
‘You know perfectly well that I am, Harry Potter.’
. *
After dinner Rose said, ‘I better hurry off to detention so that Toadie doesn’t yell at me for being late.’
‘Good idea,’ Harry said, ‘see you later.’
‘Yeah, bye, guys.’
She left the Great Hall and entered Umbridge’s classroom. Umbridge sneered, ‘Good, at least you’re punctual.’
‘Yes, I am. I don’t like being late for things, it gives you a bad reputation.’
‘Sit down here,’ Umbridge said motioning to a desk. ‘You are to use this quill to write “I will not be rude.” Understand?’
‘Yes.’
‘Good. Begin.’
Rose took the quill and wrote I will not be rude.’ She could hardly keep from crying out in pain as it was carved on her hand. She snuck out her want and cast a spell on it so that it looked like her hand was being cut even though it really wasn’t.
At 10 o’clock Umbridge said, ‘Come here.’
Rose stood up, wallked over to her, and Umbridge said, ‘Let me see your hand.’
Rose held out her hand and Umbridge said, ‘No, the lesson definitely hasn’t sunk it yet. Be sure you’re here immediately after dinner tomorrow. Understand?’
‘Yes.’
‘Good, you are dismissed.’
Rose left and went up to the Gryffindor common room where she saw Harry, Hermione, and Ron sitting and waiting for her.
‘Hey,’ Rose said, ‘have you guys finished your homework already?’
‘Hours ago,’ Harry replied.
Rose wrinkled up her nose and said, ‘I have tons of it to do and I’m exhausted and can hardly think!’
‘Don’t worry, you’ll adjust,’ Hermione said.
Harry stood up, walked over to Rose, and ignoring her protests picked her up, carried her, grinning, over to the love seat, and dropped her on it. He sat down next to her and said, ‘You want me to help you?’
‘Sure,’ she yawned, ‘you can help lme stay awake, but I don’t want you answering the questions for me.’
‘Don’t worry, I won’t.’
‘Good.’
Rose finished her homework in a couple hours and was by then so exhausted that she fell asleep on the love seat with Harry as a pillow.
CHAPTER THREE
CURSES
The next morning she woke up when the bell sounded to realise that she waas still in the common room. She looke at Harry, who was still sleeping beside her, and gently shook him and said, ‘Harry, it’s time to get up.’
He groaned and slowly woke up, seeming just as surprised as Rose had been at where he was.
‘Is it morning already? I just fell asleep,’ Harry complained.
‘Sorry, but the bell jsut went off and we’d better go down to breakfas soon.’
‘You’re right, it just seems so early.’
‘I know, but you keep telling me “you’ll get used to it”.’
‘Hey, I’m normally not this tired, but I also don’t normally stay up as late as I did last night.’
‘You didn’t have to stay up with me.’
‘Really? You sure seemed to need someone to keep you awake if you ask me.’
‘Whatever. I’m goin gto go wee if Hermione’s upu. Why don’t you see about Ron?’
‘Okay.’
Rose went up and found Hermione was getting dressed.
‘Spend the whole night down there with Harry?’
‘Yeah, I was so tried by the time I finished my homework that I just fell asleep immediately.’
‘I’m sure you did. Umbridge shouldn’t have made you stay so long for detention.’
‘Oh well. Come on, Harry’s going to be wondering what’s taking us so long if we don’t hurry.’
They descended the stairs and reached the common room at the same time as Harry and Ron.
‘Hey, you guys,’ Rose said, ‘ready to go down to breakfast?’
‘Yes, of course. I’m starving,’ Harry exclaimed.
Rose rolled her eyes and said, ‘The male species is always hungry.’
‘Really,’ said Hermione.
They went down to the Great Hall and after breakfast Rose said, ‘Looks like Potions is first today.’
‘Yeah, we better hurry so we’re not late,’ Hermione said.
They left and were some of the first students there.
After class Snape said, ‘Rose, I’d like to speak with you for a second.’
‘Of course,’ she turned to Harry, Hermione, and Ron, and said, ‘You guys can go on without me. I know how to get there now.’
‘That’s all right,’ Harry said. ‘I’ll wait for you ou in the hall.’
Rose shrugged, ‘Whatever.’
‘Rose,’ Snape said, ‘what I wanted to tell you is that what I let you do yesterday with the Love Potion is not something I would normally let anybody do, especially becuase Love Potions are illegal at Hogwarts, and I expect you f rom now on to not deliberately make them wrong. If you do, there will be consequences.’
‘Of course, sir. I’ll do my best to make my potions as good as I can in the future, sir.’
He smiled and said, ‘Thank you, Rose. you can go catch up with your boyfriend now.’
‘He’s not my–‘ Rose started to say, but Snape cut her off with a wave of his hand.
‘If not, he soon will be. Now go.’
Rose nodded and left. When she left the room, she saw Harry standing on one side of the hall with Malfoy across from him. Malfoy’s wand was drawn and she heard him say, ‘Finally, Potter, you’re alone and I can perform the Cruciatus Curse on you without interference.’
He opened his mouth to say the curse, and without thinking, Rose ran and jumped between Harry and Malfoy.
Oh, GAPA, if you see some things that are obviously typos, like I typed teh instead of the, or jsut instead of just, you are more than welcome to fix them for me. Like in this sentence:
I’m goin gto go wee if Hermione’s upu. Why don’t you see about Ron?
‘
You can please change it to:
I’m going to go see if Hermione’s up. Why don’t you see about Ron?’
Thank you GAPA!
You didn’t change them, but oh well. I would’ve fixed ’em, but I didn’t catch ’em while I was typing. I just happened to notice them after I’d already submitted, so it was then too late to fix ’em.
How is Umbridge stil there? Nobody can hold a DADA position for more than a year….?

CHAPTER FOUR
TWINS
‘No!’ screamed Harry as he saw her running, but she couldn’t stop even if she wanted to. Malfoy finished saying the curse just as Rose jumped between them, causing Rose to take the curse instead of Harry. She fell writhing and screaming to the floor.
Snape ran out of his classroom and demanded, ‘What is going on here?’
‘Draco Malfoy tried to cast a Cruciatus Curse on me. When Rose came out, he was in the middle of this and she came running and jumped between us and took the curse for me.’
‘Where is Malfoy now?’
‘I don’t know. He ran off.’
‘Can you carry Rose up to the infirmary?’
‘Yes.’
‘Good, now go!’
Harry quickly obeyed. He picked Rose up in his arms and hurried up to the infirmary. When he got there, Madam Pomfrey asked, ‘What happened?’
Harry explalined and she said, ‘Put her in this bed here.’
Harrry laid Rose down and asked, ‘Will she be okay? Voldemort hit me with a Cruciatus Curse when I was a fourth year and I didn’t lose consciousness.’
‘I don’t know. I hope so. The Curse affects different people worse than others. It depends on how much pure hatred and desire to baadly hurt the vicitm is put into it. Take the Longbottoms for example. Bellatrix Lestrange tortured them into insanity with a Cruciatus Curse. She’ll likely be unconscious for a couple days. Other than that, only time will tell. Now, you need to go back to your class now.’
‘No, I’m not leaving her side.’
Madam Pomfrey raised an eyebrow and said, ‘Not at all?’
‘Not at all.’
‘We’ll see about that.’
A few minutes later, Dumbledore came up and said, ‘Severus found Malfoy. He’s been told that if he ever tries anything like this again he’ll be expelled. Also, all the points in Slytherin have been transferred to Gryffindor because of Rose’s bravery.’
Harry nodded. He was sitting on the edge of the bed and was holding Rose’s hand. Madam Pomfrey came in and said, ‘Albus, Harry refuses to go back to class.’
‘There’s nothing I can do to make him, Poppy. I suspect you’ll have to make kup another bed for him so that he can sleep here, too.’
‘You can’t be serious!’
‘I’m afraid I am. Harry’s not going to leave her side for any reason until she’s awake and makes him. And he might not even leave then.’
‘But he has classes! He can’t just abandon those for the next couple of days until she’s able to leave!’ Then she added softly, ‘If she ever recovers.’
‘I think she will. She obviously has a very strong will.’
‘How soon will you know if she’s going to recover?’ Harry asked.
‘If she hasn’t woken by Thursday, it’s unlikely she’ll recover.’
‘Okay.’
He sat there in silence and Dumbledore could see the tears in his eyes. ‘I can’t believe she did this for me,’ he said. ‘I’ve hardly even known her a day.’
‘She loves you, Harry. She has every since the first day she met you.’
‘How do you know?’
‘I could see it in her eyes. Every time she looks at y ou her eyes are filled with love.’
‘I…I love her too, Dumbledore.’
‘I know you do, Harry. Though her love’s more obvious.’
‘Why?’
‘It always is in girls. Haven’t you noticed people saying she liked you or was your girlfriend?’
‘Firenze asked her if she was my girlfriend.’
‘Minerva said Rose liked you when talking to me about her detention. Also, when Severus was talking to her just before this happened he called you her boyfriend.’
‘Oh, is it that obvious?’
‘Mostly only to adults.’
Dumbledore left then and Harry rolled the cot next to Rose’s over so that it was touching hers. He lay down and still holding her hand, fell asleep.
He woke up later to hear Hermione and Ron talking.
‘Has anything change?’ he asked.
‘No,’ Hermione said, ‘I agree with Dumbledore that she’ll probably be all right, though. Profesor Snape came to Umbridge’s class and announced what happened.’
‘I tell you Umbridge looked so pleased when she heard. She practically said Rose deserved it!’ Ron said.
‘I don’t doubt it,’ Harry replied. ‘Is it still Tuesday?’
‘Yes, you haven’t been asleep that long. Everybody else is at dinner. Dobby brought some food up for you.’
‘Thanks.’
‘You’re going to have to let go of her hand to eat,’ Ron teased.
‘I can’t wait till you get a girlfriend and hold her hand,’ complained Harry.
He ate while never taking his eyes off Rose.
‘She’ll be okay,’ Hermione said.
‘I hope so,’ Harry replied.
They sat in silence until Hermione looked at her watch and said, ‘We’d better go and do some homework and get to bed. See you tomorrow, Harry.’
‘Goodnight.’
They left, leaaving Harry sitting there alone with Rose. He lay down and fell into a fitful sleep. He woke up every hour, and the more he slept, the more tired he felt. He finally fell into a peaceful sleep and about five in the morning and awoke a few hours later.
‘I think she’ll be okay, Harry,’ said Madam Pomfrey, who was standing in the doorway. ‘One of the house-elves brought some breakfast about an hour ago.’
‘Thanks.’
‘It was a house-elf, not me.’
Harry shrugged and said, ‘Whatever.’
Madam Pomfrey left and Harry ate his cold breakfast of bacon and eggs.
Later, around noon, while Harry was watching Rose, her eyelids flickered.
‘Rose,’ he said softly, ‘are you awake?’
She groaned and stirred. Her eyelids flickered again and opened. ‘Harry? Where am I?’
‘The infirmary. Do you remember what happened?’
The memory came flooding back to her and she flinched. ‘Yes, it was horribled. I swear, if Malfooy ever tries anything like this ever again, I’ll kill him. Slowly and painfully, until every last bit of life is sucked out of him! I had horribly vivid memories of when my father was beating my mother when I was five, because he was trying to force her to remarry him. Oh, god, my head hurts horribly, and I’m starving. What day is it?’
‘Wednesday. I’m sorry that had to happen.’
She smiled weakly and said, ‘Thanks. Have you been up here constantly since this happened?’
‘Yes.’
‘Have you been holding my hand this whole time, too?’
‘Uh, yeah,’ he said blushing.
Rose grinned, pulled him to her in a hug, and said, ‘I love you Harry.’
‘I love you, too, Rose,’ he replied and kissed her long and tenderly on the lips.
Madam Pomfrey came in while they were still kissing and said, ‘I see you’re awake, Rose.’
They jumped apart at the sound of her voice and blushed.
‘Yes, ma’am, I am.’
‘You’re hungry, right?’
‘Yes, ma’am.’
‘Oh, and I’ll bring something for your headache with the food.’
‘WAit, how did you know I had a headache? And was hungry?’ Rose demanded.
‘Well, a headache is a common side effect of the Cruciatus Curse. And as far as being hungry…wouldn’t most people be hungry if they hadn’t eaten in over twenty-four hours?’
‘Umm…probably.’
While the nurse was getting food, Dumbledore came up. He smiled and said, ‘I’m gald to see you’re all right, Rose. Some people never recover from a Cruciatus Curse.’
‘I know. Was Malfoy expelled? He should be.’
‘No, he isn’t, but if he tries anything like this again he will be.’
‘So all he got was a warning?!’
‘And all of Slytherin points were transferred to Gryffindor.’
Rose snorted and said, ‘Wowie, big deal. That doesn’t teach him anything.’ To Harry she said, ‘He’s on the Quidditch team, right?’
Harry nodded and she continued, ‘The least lyou could have done, then, would have been to take his Quidditch privileges away.’
‘Giving him more time to harass you and Harry? I think not.’
‘You could forbid him to go to Hogsmeade,’ Rose suggested hopefully.
‘That would also give him more time to harass you since you have to stay here because of your rudeness to Diana Umbridge. Also, I believe HArry is staying with you so you don’t die of boredom, which would give Draco more time to possibly attempt another Cruciatus Curse on him, too.’
‘Fine,’ Rose snapped, ‘don’t punished him. I don’t care, but when he attempts another Cruciatus Curse because he wasn’t punished the first time, you can’t say I didn’t warn you. Now go, leave me in peace!’
When Dumbledore just stood there, she glared at him and said, ‘Are you deaf or something? I said go!’
He left and Rose turned to Harry and said, ‘Do you have any parchment I could use?’
‘Sure, do you need a quill, too?
‘Yes, please.’
He gave them to her and said, ‘What are y ou going to write?’
‘First, I’m going to write a sign for you to stick on the door and then I’m going to write Aunt Amelia to see if Uncle Dimitrius is willing to let you stay with them until you grow up.’
She wrote the sign, which read:
‘Would you please hang this on the door for me?’
Harry looked at her and said, ‘You sure you want me to hang this on the door?’
‘Yes.’
Harry had just come back from hanging the sign on the door when Madam Pomfrey came in with food.
Rose at the food and then took the other sheet of parchment and started writing:
Dear Aunt Amelia,
I don’t know whether you are aware of this, but Uncle Dimitrius’s brother, James, had a son, Harry Potter. After Voldemort killed James, he tried to kill Harry, but Lily Potter stood in the way to protect him. Her love for him is what enabled Harry to survive the Avada Kedavra curse. He now has a curse scar in the shape of a lightning bolt on his forehead, which Harry said a former Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher said would happend to anyone who is touched by powerful Dark magic.
Harry also said Dumbledore told him he has to live with blood relatives to be safe from Voldemort. He has been living with Lily’s sister, Petunia, her husband, Vernon, and son, Dudley, who all hate Harry and anything that had to do with magic. So since Uncle Dimitrius is his blood relative, would you please ask him if he’s willing to let Harry live with you and him? Thanks, and yes, Harry want to live with you.
As you probably already know, I was hit by a Cruciatus Curse on Tuesday. This curse, performed by my horrid cousin, Draco Malfoy, the son of your brother Lucius, was aimed at Harry. When I saw what Malfoy was doing, I ran and threw myself between them and took the curse for Harry. I just woke up around noon this morning (Wednesday). Harry didn’t leave my side the whole time I was unconscious. He still hasn’t left my side even though I’m awake. And, Aunt Amelia, I don’t know why I’m tellling you this, but he kissed me soon after I regained consciousness. I love him, I really do. Please don’t tell Mom because I know she would just go and start teasing me.
I’m really enjoying Hogwarts so far. My favorite classes and teachers are Potions, taught by Profesor Snape, and Divination, taught by Firenze, a centaur. I think Care of Magical Creatures will also be one of my favorite classes, but I haven’t had it yet. Hagrid, a half-giant, teaches it. My least favorite teacher is Umbridge, known as Toadie by me and Harry and our friends, teaches Defence Against the Dark Arts, and doesn’t let us do any active magic! How does she expect us to learn anything?
Harry says his favorite Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher was Professor Lupin, a werewolf–Isn’t that awsome?–who taught when Harry was a third-year. He’s in his sixth year, like me, now.
do you think you or Uncle Dimitrius could take Toadie’s place and teach us Defence Against the Dark Arts since you’ve both taught it before? Toadie is only here because the Minister of Magic, Cornelius Fudge, starting last year, said that if Dumbledore couldn’t find someone to teach any class he would have a person of his own choosing do it. I’m sure Dumbledore would love to have one of you take her place.
Love,
Rose
P.S. Can you believe that theh only punishment Malfoy got was to have all of Slytherin’s points transferred to Gryffindor, and be warned that if he ever tries anyhing like this again he’ll be expelled? As if that’s going to teach him anything. Please respond ASAP. Thanks.
‘Harry,’ Rose said, ‘do you want to read this and see if there’s anything else you’d like to add.’
‘Sure, I guess,’ Harry replied.
He took the letter and read it. ‘Well, is it really necessary to say I kissed you?’
‘I don’t know. I just felt like I should mention it.’
Harry shrugged and said, ‘I suppose she’d find out one way or an other that we liked each other. Do you t hink that she or Uncle Dimitrius will be willing to be our Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher?’
‘I hope so, but they might not.’
‘So, are you still up to sneaking to Hogsmeade?’
‘I think I will be.’
‘Good.’
‘Will lyou take htis letter up and attach it to me owl, Snowball?’
‘Sure, but how do I know which one is Snowball?’
‘She’s pure white and if you call her name she’ll come straight to you. Just tell her to take it to Aunt Amelia Potter.’
‘Okay. I’ll be back as soon as I can. Bye.’
‘Bye.’
He left and Madam Pomfrey came in a few moments later. ‘I thought he said he wasn’t going to leave your side,’ she said.
‘He’ll be back in a few minutes. He’s just mailing a letter for me.’
‘To your parents?’
‘No, my aunt.’
‘Don’t you think your parents want to hear from you?’
‘My mom, yes, but my father doesn’t give a damn about me. I hate him.’
‘I find that hard to believe.’
‘Well, it’s true. he beat my mother and when she divorced him, he kept coming back trying to make her remarry him. We have been living life like Muggles ever since I was five so he couldn’t track us down.’
Harry came in just in time to hear her last few words and said, ‘Your mother doesn’t use magic at home?’
‘Not unless absolutely necesssary. The lst time I remember her using magic was when my father decided that by beatiing me he might be able to make her remarry him. She used magic to stop him from harming me.’
‘So if you broke any bones she wouldn’t use magic to heal them?’
‘Correct. I broke both my arms once and she took me to a Muggle doctor and I got casts on them. It was painful, but I was given Muggle medicine for the pain, which helped a lot. My arms were healed completely after about a month. Maybe a little less, I don’t remember. I was nine at the time.’
‘When your bones could have been healed with one simple spell?’ Madam Pomfrey asked, aghast.
Harry said, ‘Muggle methods work quite well even if they are slower.’
Madam Pomfrey shook her head in disbelief and left.
‘So, does Uncle Dimitrius live a Muggle life?’
‘Yes. The only time I remember him using magic was to teach me some spells he invented and how to banish Dementors.’
‘What kind of spells did he invent and what form does your patronus take?’
‘Ones that are useful against the Dark Arts and my patronus takes he shape of a swan.’
‘Oh.’
‘He also taught me how to transfigure people and how to become an Animagus.’
‘Are you registered?’
‘No. That would give my father a way to track me down.’
‘What form do you take?’
‘A swan.’
‘Is Uncle Dimitrius an Animagus?’
‘Yes, he takes the form of a stag.’
Harry’s mouth dropped open in shock.
‘What did I say?’ Rose asked.
‘My…my father was an Animagus and he took the form of a stag.’
‘Hmm…say, could you get me Dumbledore? I have a question for him.’
‘Thought you didn’t want him to enter,’ Harry said mischievously.
‘Would you just bring him?’
‘Okay, okay.’
He left and soon came back with Dumbledore.
Dumbledore smiled and said, ‘Nice sign.’
Rose blushed bright red and said, ‘I’m sorry I yelled at you earlier.’
He smiled and said, ‘That’s all right, I understand. So, what did you want to ask me?’
‘Well, my Uncle Dimitrius is an Animagus and turns into a sstag, and Harry said his father did, too. And I read somewhere that identical twins always turn into the same animal. Are James and Dimitrius Potter identical twins?’
‘Yes, they are. Say, Rose, do you have any idea why Dimitrius disappeared and never came back? Everybody thought he was dead.’
‘I have no idea. Maybe Aunt Amelia will say when she responds to my letter.’
‘WAs there anything else you waned to ask?’
‘No, sir.’
Dumbledore turned to leave but beofre he reached the door Rose grabbed her wand and said, ‘Accio sign,’ and her sign came soaring through the air.
‘Say, Rose,’ Dumbledore said, ‘at breakfast this morning I announced that we were gong to do the Triwizard Tournament again this year. Also, this year y ou only have to be sixteen to participate. Your old school, Burnsteins, and Beauxbatons will also be participating. You must enter you name in the Goblet of Fire if you want to participate. The other schools will arrive Monday. Good-bye.’
After he left, Rose turned to Harry and said, ‘Are you going to enter?’
‘Yes, I think so.’
‘So am I. I can’t wait to see all my friends again. I think you’ll like them.’
Harry grinned and said teasingly, ‘Girls or boys?’
Rose rolled her eyes. ‘As if you doh’t have another friend that’s a girl. Both, though. One of my best friends is a boy. His name is James Smith. He’s totally crazy. My other best friend is Sarah Parker who is also totally crazy.’
‘Sounds like you hang out with a lot of crazy people.’
Rose shrugged and said, ‘I like crazy people.’
Harry grinned and said, ‘Is that why you like me?’
‘One of the reason. You know, I’m feeling lots better. I wonder when Madam Pomfrey will let me leave.’
‘In time for dinner tonight,’ Madam Pomfrey said, having overheard what Rose said. ‘I just need to see how you’re managing to get arouond. Then you can change into your robes and go down to dinner.’
Rose crawled out of bed and walked around the room a couple times, wobbling some. She almost fell over once, but Harry caught her.
‘I suppose you’re well enough to leave as long as Harry makes sure you don’t fall down the stairss.’
‘I won’t let her,’ Harry promised.
‘Now, kindly leave the room while Rose changes into her robes,’ Madam Pomfrey ordered.
Harry left and Madam Pomfreey helped Rose change. ‘Go on, now, you’re free,’ Madam Pomfrey said.
Rose left the infirmary and Harry grabbed her around the waist when she stumbled. ‘Put your arm over my shoulders unless you want me to carry you,’ Harry ordered.
Rose obeyed and Harry helped her down the stairs into the Great Hall.
‘Rose!’ Hermione shouted. ‘You’re okay!’
Rose and HArry walked over there as quickly as possible. ‘When did you wake up?’ Hermione demanded.
‘Around noon. I heard you came up and visitie me yesterday evening.’
‘Yes, we did, although we didn’t spend the night like Harry,’ Ron said.
‘I didn’t expect you to. So, are y ou oing to enter the Triwizard Tournament?’
Hermione and Ron nodded. ‘Are you?’ Ron asked.
‘Yes, I can’t wait to see my friends from Burnsteins again. You’ll love them.’
After they ate, they stopped by the Goblet of Fire and entered theire names. Then they went up to the common room and chatted for awhile before they went to bed.
Wow, GAPA, you read that fast. I thought MBers weren’t supposed to use swear words, though. And there’s is one itty-bitty curse word in my story, that wasn’t even partially turned to stars. Either GAPA’s getting lazy, or GAPA doesn’t mind in this case. Which GAPA are you, anyway?
sorry, I’m not a GAPA, but I’ve been enjoying your chapters of HP.
I’m glad you’ve been enjoying it. Your Malignant Mandolin’s sibling, right? I think I saw that somewhere…Are you older or younger?
younger. and Malignant Mandolin is now Purple Panda
I’m 3 years younger, in 5th grade. She’s in 8th grade,14 years old
Cool. I’m in 10th grade and am 16.
I wonder where the GAPA went.
When is the next chapter comeing out?
It’s great, Michelle!!!!!
Funny, too..
#26, I’m just about to type of Chapter Five now. It’s really long, though, so it might take awhile. I also might not get it all typed up today, but I’ll try!
CHAPTER FIVE
A NEW TEACHER
Rose woke up the next morning to find Hermione shaking her.
‘Is it morning already?’ she asked.
‘Yes, you would think that you wouldn’t be very tired after having been unconscious for about a day.’
‘It wasn’t a very restful sleep, though,’ Rose replied.
Rose got up and changed into her robes. They walked down to the common room and saw Harry and Ron were waiting for them.
‘You feel better today, Rose?’ Harry asked.
‘Yes, though I’m still a little wobbly on my feet. I tell you it feels as though somebody put a Jelly-Leg Jinx on me.’
Harry laughed and said, ‘Trust me, you would be wobbling a lot more if somebody had. We better go eat now.’
‘Okay.’
They walked down to the Great Hall and saw that most of the other kids were already down there.
‘How can anybody get up this early?’ Rose complained. ‘It’s seriously abnormal.’
‘You’ll get used to it,’ Ron said.
‘You guys keep saying that, but I haven’t noticed that I am.’
‘You haven’t had enough time to get used to it,’ Hermione said reasonably.
‘I suppose that’s true.’
They ate breakfast in silence until Rose asked, ‘What’s first today?’
‘Care of Magical Creatues,’ Ron said.
‘Awesome.’
They left the castle and walke over to Hagrid’s hut. They were surprised to see no one else was there yet.
‘Where is everyone?’ Rose asked.
‘I don’t know. Let’s go see if Hagrid’s here,’ Hermione replied.
They walked over to the door and knocked. When nobody responded Hermione called out, ‘Hagrid, are you home?’
When there was once again no response, Hermione grabbed the doorknob and opened the door. They looked inside and saw that nobody was home.
‘I wonder where he is,’ Rose mused aloud.
‘I’m sure he’ll show up soon,’ Harry said worriedly.
The sat down on the doorstep and Rose said, ‘Maybe he’s still at breakfast.’
Ron shook his head. ‘He wasn’t at breakfast.’
‘Well, at least he has Fang with nhim. He’ll keep Hagrid safe.’
Just then, Fan came running out of the forest barking. He ran in circles around the four of them and then ran off a little ways and repeated his antics.
‘I think Fang wants us to follow him,’ Rose said.
‘I think you’re right, but there are giant spiders in the forest,’ Ron said.
‘We sh ould follow him anyways. Hagrid might be hurt.’ Ron gave her a look as if to say she was crazy and Rose said, ‘Look, I don’t like spiders either, especially not giant ones. Say, when you say “giant” how big do you mean? Bigger than a tarantula?’
‘Yes, bigger than you are.’
Rose gulped and said, ‘We should still go, but take your wands out.’
The followed Fang into the forest. He walked along the path to start with but then veered off into the trees.
‘I don’t like the looks of this,’ Ron said. ‘It seems like this is the same way we went when we followed the spiders.’
Rose’s face turned white when she heard this. ‘Well, at least you know what to expect this time.’
They heard a shout farther on. ‘Aragog was my fried. He forbid yeh to eat me.’
They started running when they heard Hagrid yelling. ‘Who’s Aragog?’ Rose asked.
‘The spider chief,’ Harry replied.
They reached a clearing and saw a ring of giant spiders surrounding Hagrid.
The largest spider said, ‘Aragog is dead. I’m chief now. We never get any human meat and this is too good to pass up.’
‘Stupefy,’ Rose shouted, pointing her wand at the spider.
The spiders all turned toward her. ‘Run, Hagrid!’ Rose shouted.
The spiders advanced closer. They still hadn’t seen Harry, Hermione, and Ron, which Rose hoped to use to her advantage. ‘Leviosa,’ she shouted pointing her wand at one of the spiders, which floated up into the air. ‘Fang, bring Dumbledore,’ she shouted.
She saw Fang go running off. ‘Leviosa,’ she shouted again, sendind another spider flying up into the air. ‘Stupefy,’ she heard Harry shout. She glanced behind her quickly and saw that he had stunned a spider that was trying to sneak up behind her.
‘Thanks,’ she called. Rose suddenly remembered something and reached under her robes and pulled out a pistol. She fired it at the head of one of the spiders closest to her. It fell over dead. Now that she had a slight advantage over the spiders, she paused to shout, ‘Accio Firebolt.’ She shouted to Harry, ‘Get yours, too.’
Soon both of their Firebolts came soaring towards them through the air. Rose grabbed hers and mounted. ‘Grab Ron,’ she shouted to Harry. Still keeping her pistol trained on the spiders, she swooped down and helped Hermione onto her broom. ‘Hold on tight, I might have to go upside down.’
She flew back up into the air again and one of the spiders tried to catch her with a web. ‘Nice try,’ she shouted as she shot it.
They flew to the edge of the forest and Rose saw a spider throw a web and catch Harry’s arm, causing him to drop his wand. ‘Hold tight,’ she ordered Hermine as she swooped down and caught it, severing the web with a well-aimed shto at the same time.
She saw Dumbledore halfway across the grounds following Fang. She swooped down in front of him letting Hermione off and said, ‘We’re okay. Where’s Hagrid? Did he get out of the forest?’
‘Yes, he’s okay. I told him to go ahead and teach class. He wanted to go back in and rescue you but I told him not to.’
‘Good. We’re okay, but I think Ron might have fainted.’
Harry swooped down next to her and said, ‘Ron fainted, but he’s okay.’
He laid Ron’s unconscious form on the ground by Hermione and said, ‘Permission to return to class?’
Dumbledore smiled and said, ‘Yes, you may. I’m wondering, Rose, what did you use to kill some of those spiders?’
‘A pistol. It’s a Muggle invention used to kill things.’
‘Useful. I be Arthur Weasley would be interested in seeing it.’
‘Probably, but he’d have to be really careful so as not to shoot himself.’
‘Well, go on back to class.’
They nodded and Rose said, ‘Hermione, do you want to ride over there?’
Hermione shook her head and said, ‘I’ll walk.’
Rose shrugged and she and Harry flew off to class.
When they got there, Angelina Johnson said, ‘Rose, you’ve got to join our Quidditch team. The only other person I’ve ever seen fly as well as you is Harry.’
‘Okay. When are tryouts?’
‘Tuesday. Have you played before?’
‘Yes, I started when I was eleven. I was the only person to get a broom while still a first year.’
‘Same with Harry.’
‘Rose, thanks fer savin’ my life,’ Hagrid called.
‘Your welcome. What are we learning about today?’ Rose asked.
‘Thestrals, since we didn’t get ter spend very much time on ’em las’ year.’
‘Okay,’ Rose said. She sat down next to Harry and said, ‘Where is one?’
‘Right in front of you. If you lean forwards you can touch it.’
Rose leaned forward and felt the warmth of an animal. She ran her hand down it and said, ‘It feels like a horse.’
‘Yeah, it does.’
Draco, who was sitting nearby, said, ‘There’s nothing there to feel so how can it feel like a horse?’
Rose smiled sweetly and said, ‘If you just put your hand out you’ll fell it.’
Draco sneered, ‘You’re just a stupid Muggle lover. What do you know? You’re so bad at magic you have to use Muggle weapons to kill little spiders.’
‘Say, Malfoy, I hear you make a great ferret.’ She flicked her want and he turned into a ferret.
‘Still think I’m bad with magic? Not many people can transfigure other people.’
‘Where’d Malfoy go?’ Hermione asked as she came back oer from talking to Hagrid.
‘Don’t know. Guess he got bored of Thestrals.’
Hermione looked at Rose as though she didn’t believe her and sad, ‘Truthfully, where is he?’
‘He’s a little ferret,’ Rose aid and held out the ferret to Hermione. ‘Like it? He’s much nicer this way.’
Hermione smiled and said, ‘True, but you should probably change him back before a teacher sees.’
Rose shrugged. ‘I’ll think about it.’
After class, she stuck the ferret into her bag and said, ‘What’s next?’
‘Transfiguration,’ Harry replied. ‘Wonder what Professor McGonagall will think of your transfiguration of Malfoy.’
‘Don’t know.’
The three of them walked toward the castle. They were halfway there when Dumbledore stopped them, ‘Rose,’ he said, ‘due to your slight weakness from the Cruciatus Curse, I have decided that you will get to skip detention today and tomorrow. If Umbridge doesn’t believe you, then give her this note.’
‘Thank you, sir.’
‘Oh, and Rose, try not to squish Malfoy. You’ll probably get expelled if you do.’
‘Yes, sir.’
Hermione stared after him in shock, ‘He…he didn’t even tell you to change him back.’
‘I know. He doesn’t care. He knows Malfoy deserved it.’
They got to class and Professor McGonagall said, ‘I hear you saved Hagrid. That was brave of you.’
‘Thanks. I had help though.’
‘Say, do you know what happened to Malfoy? He apparently disappeared during your last class.’
‘He’s right here, ma’am,’ Rose said pulling the ferret out of her bag.
‘You transfigured him?’ Professor McGonagall asked in surprise. ‘They don’t teach sixth-years that.’
‘My uncle taught me how to do it when I was a first-year.’
‘Well, would you kindly change him back so that he doesn’t miss class?’
‘Yes, ma’am.’ Rose pulled out her wand and flicked it at the ferret, and all of a sudden, Draco Malfoy was sitting on her desk instead of a ferret.
He glared at her and said, ‘I’ll get you for this.’
‘Malfoy,’ McGonagall said, ‘you do, and you’ll be expelled. You’ve already done enough to her and Harry.’
‘But she turned me into a ferret.’
‘I don’t care. You deserved it. Just be glad she didn’t do a Cruciatus Curse on you.’
‘She couldn’t, she doesn’t know how.’
‘I know how to do a lot more things than you think I do. I’m not stupid,’ Rose snapped.
‘You have already proved you are extremely excelled in transfigurations. Potions, too, according to Severus. He tells me you already know how to do an advanced Love Potion. By memory, even.’
‘Yes, I do.’
‘Well, we’d better continue with class now.’
They finished class, which consisted of cross-species transfiguration. After class, Professor McGonagall said, ‘Rose, if you don’t mind, I’d like to talk to you. Harry, I give you permission to stay if you want.’
‘Thank you,’ Harry said.
‘Oh, Hermione,’ McGonagall said, ‘please tell Diana that Harry and Rose will be missing Defence Against the Dark Arts today. Thank you.’
Hermione left and McGonagall said, ‘Rosse, do you know any other potions by memory?’
‘Yes, I can make a Poly-Juice Potion, Veritaserum, and quite a few other potions by memory.’
‘Hmm…I must agree with Severus, you are very advanced in Potions. Levitating giant spiders is no small feat, either. Where did you learn these things?’
‘My uncle taugh me. He also taught me to do other spells that he says are very useful against the Dark Arts.’
‘Who is your uncle?’
‘Dimitrius Potter.’
‘He’s alive? Everybody thought he was dead. Otherwise Harry would have been living with him instead of who he’s living with now.’
‘I’ve written Aunt Amelia, his wife, to see if they’re willing to let Harry live with them.’
‘Good thinking. Say, are you by any chance an Animagus?’
Rose nodded and said, ‘How did you know?’
‘Well, Dumbledore told me that James was an Animagus so I thought maybe Dimitrius taught you that, too.’
‘Oh.’
‘Is your animal form and your patronus–you can do a patronus can’t you?–the same form?’
‘Yes, they’re both swans.’
‘Hmm…Did Dimitrius teach you Occlumency?’
‘Yes.’
‘Do you think you could teach it?’
‘Yes, I think so. Why?’
‘I think it would be a good class for all the kids to take, seeing as You-Know-Who has regained his power, and I’d like you to teac it.’
‘Me?’ Rose squeaked, ‘but I’m just a student.’
‘Yes, I know. I think most of the other students would rather have another student see some of their memories than a teacher. Especially if some of these thougts or memories are about breaking school rules.’
‘Oh. All the students?’
‘Yes, I think that would be a good idea.’
‘When would you like me to start?’
‘Monday, but first I’d like to see how good you are.’
McGonagall pulled out her wand, tried to get into Rose’s mind, and said, ‘Good job. I can’t even begin to access your thoughts. You’re better at this than most full-grown wizards are. Out of curiosity, what do you want to be when you grow up?’
‘An Auror, like Harry’s going to be.’
‘I think you’ll make a very good one. You may go up and visit Ron Weasley in the infirmary until your next class starts. Good-bye.’
Rose stood up, took Harry’s hand, and they left the room. ‘Can you believe it, Harry?’ she asked after the door had shut. ‘She wants me to teach Occlumency.’
‘I heard. I hope you have a better time teaching me than Snape had.’
‘As long as you clear your mind of all thoughts before you go to bed, like you didn’t before, I don’t think you’ll have any problem.’
‘I hope not.’
‘Last time you iddh’t want to learn, did you?’
‘You’re right, but I promise to try my best this time, Professor Larson.’
Rose rolled her eyes and said, ‘Don’t call me that.’
‘Okay, Professor Larson.’
Rose stuck her tongue out at him and then opened the infirmary door, which they had just reached.
‘Hey, Harry, Rose, thanks for saving my life,’ Ron said.
Rose shrugged and said, ‘It was nothing, Ron.’
‘Oh, Ron,’ Harry said, ‘it’s Professor Larson to you, not Rose.’
‘Huh?’
‘Professor McGonagall asked me to teach Occlumency, and Harry seems to think my name is Professor Larson now. Even though I’ve told him a million time to stop,’ Rose explained.
‘You have not told me a million times,’ Harry complained. ‘You only told me once.’
‘Same difference.’
‘When do you start teaching?’ Ron asked.
‘Monday evening after dinner.’
‘Oh, I thought we were going to get Monday off since the other kids are arriving that day.’
‘We are, except for Occlumency.’
‘Malfoy’s going to hate having you for a teacher,’ Harry said.
‘Do you get to take points from houses and give detention if kids are disobeying?’ Ron asked.
‘Hmm…I don’t know. I’ll ask later. I hope I do.’
They told Ron about Rose turning Malfoy into a ferret and chatted until Rose said, ‘Well, we’d better go now if we’re going to make it to lunch.’
They were just about to leave when Madam Pomfrey came in. ‘What are you two doing here? You have school,’ she said severely.
‘Profesor McGonagall gave us permission, ma’am,’ Rose said. ‘Can Ron come down to lunch? He looks okay.’
‘Yes, as long as he doesn’t over exert himself.’
‘Jeesh,’ Rose said after they were out of earshot, ‘you only fainted.’
Ron shrugged and said, ‘I know, but apparently she’s afraid I’m too weak to do anything.’
‘Well,’ said Harry, ‘I’m sure some real food will help.’
‘Probably,’ Ron agreed. ‘Rose, you said you don’t like spiders, but you didn’t show the slightest bit of fear when you attacked them to save Hagrid.’
‘Believe me, I was scared to death. If I had been any less scared, I wouldn’t have been able to do it. I think I was probably more scared than you.’
‘Really?’
‘Really. I wonder if Toadie believed that Professor McGonagall wanted to talk to us.’
‘Dunno. If not she can just aske her,’ Harry replied.
‘True, say I need to talk to Dumbledore. Be right back.’
She walked up to where Dumbledorre ws sitting at the teacher’s table and said, ‘Excuse me, Dumbledore, but I haven’t seen Professor Umbridge today. Could you tell her that I’ll miss detention?’
‘You can tell her at dinner. She’ll probably be here then.’
‘Okay, also, when I start teaching Occlumency, am I allowed to award or take away points when I think it’s appropriate, and can I give detentions?’
Dumbledore laughed and said, ‘Yes, you are. I’ll announce that you’ll be teaching after everyone has arrived for lunch. Was that all?’
‘Yes, sir. Oh, and thank you.’
‘Your welcome. You’d better go eat now.’
Rose nodded and walked over and sat down with Harry, Hermione, and Ron.
Sorry, all, that’s not even half of Chapter Five, but I’ve got to go now. I might have acces to a computer while I’m at the library, but it would only be for an hour, ’cause that’s as long as they allow you to use the computers. I’ll try and get all the rest of Chapter Five type up tomorrow, but I can’t guarantee it. Sorry!
Thanks, Michelle!
I’m going to type up some more of chapter five now. I don’t think I’ll be able to get it all typed up though, ’cause at 6:45 MuseBlog time, I’ve got to go. But, I’ll get as much typed up as possible!
Cool! I supose your typing it right now…Is chapter one on the normal Harry Potter thred? I think I should read that first…
‘Rose,’ Hermione said, ‘Harry says you have a secret and refuses to tell me what it is. What is it?’
‘You’ll find out soon,’ Rose said secretively. ‘By the way, Ron, the anser to your question is yes.’
Ron grinned and said, ‘Awesome!’
‘What question?’ Hermione asked.
Rose just smiled and said, ‘You’ll see.’
‘Attention, please,’ Dumbledore said. ‘I have an announcement to make. On Monday, you will all be starting a new class, Occlumency. It will be taught by Rose Larson, a sixth-year from Gryffindor. I’d like you to all keep in mind while attending her class that she is allowed to give and take away points as she sees fit. She is also allowed to give detention and take away student privileges. She is not allowed to expel students, though. Occlumency is a required course for all students. Thank you. Now, dig in.’
Hermione looked at Rose and asked, ‘Is that your secret?’
‘Yes, and the question Ron asked was whether or not I was allowed to give or take away points and give detentions.’
‘Wow, so, why does Dumbledore want you to teach this class?’
‘Actually, it was Profesor McGonagall’s idea and she wanted me to teach it because she thought it would be a good skill to have since Voldemort,’ Rose rolled her eyes as Ron winced, ‘has regained his power. And she wants me to teach it because she thinks students would be more comfortable with a fellow student seeing their thoughts and memories as opposed to a teacher.’
‘Probably true,’ Hermione agreed, ‘except for Malfoy and company.’
‘Well, they’re just stupid anyways,’ Rose said.
They finished eating and went to class, all of which were uneventful. After they ate dinner, and were heading back to the common room, they heard Dumbledore call out, ‘Rose, I’d like to talk to you for a moment.’
Rose told the others to go on up without her, and then walked over to Dumbledore. ‘Yes, sir?’ she said.
‘I just wanted to tell you the password to my office is Chocolate Frog.’
‘Okay, say, if anybody is being extremely disruptive in class, can I transfigure them?’
‘Yes, I suppose so, but don’t do it too often, and whatever you do, don’t transfigure anyone into a magical creature.’
Rose said, ‘I wouldn’t dream of it. Uncle Dimitrius told me that if you do that they can’t be changed back.’
Dumbledore smiled and said, ‘That is correct. Well, you can go catch up with your friends now.’
Rose nodded and headed up towards the common room. She was heading up the stairs when she saw that Neville Longbottom had once again forgotten the disappearing stair and couldn’t get up.
‘Hey, Neville,’ she said, ‘want some help?’
He nodded, and she grabbed him under the arms and pulled him out. She helped him pick up his stuff and said, ‘Wow, you have a Remembrall? I’ve always wanted one, but Mom didn’t think I needed it.’
Neville blushed and said, ‘If you can turn Malfoy into a ferret, why would you need a Remembrall?’ He sighed, ‘I can hardly even do a really simple spell. I’m practically a Squib.’
‘No, you’re not. I have a feeling that you’re capable of really strong magic. But even if you’re not, I know you’re brave. Harry told me about the Department of Mysteries,’ she explained. ‘Trying to fight Voldemort and his Death Eaters, with somebody else’s wand even, is a very brave thing. It took a lot of courage.’
‘Yeah, but I broke the prophecy and he didn’t get to find out what it said.’
Rose shook her head and said, ‘Dumbledore was the one who originally heard the prophecy. He told it to Harry afterwards, so it really wasn’t that big a deal. Anyways, I’m sure he would have forgiven you even if it had been.’
‘Did Harry tell you what Lestrane did to my parents?’
‘Lestrange? That was the woman Harry tried to do the Cruciatus Curse on?’
‘Yes.’
‘No, he didn’t tell me. He probably figured you could tell people yourself if you wanted them to know. You don’t have to tell me, I can constrain my curiosity.’
Neville shook his head, ‘That’s all right. She…she tortured my parents into insanity with a Cruciatus Curse. They…they’re at St. Mungo’s Hospital for Magical Maladies.’ As he said this, tears started rolling down his cheeks.
‘I’m so sorry Neville. Oh, you know how I just said I think you’re capable of great magic?’
He nodded and she continued, ‘I now believe that you’re subconsciously keeping yourself from trying to learn magic to your full extent because you’re afraid that if you do the same thing will happen to you that happened to your parents. While that’s possible, I really think you’re more likely to have that happen if you don’t learn magic. Prmoise me you’ll try and learn your hardest?’
Neville nodded and said, ‘Okay, and thanks for helping me.’
Rose smiled and said, ‘You’re welcome. Say, are you going to be at Occlumency Monday? I think you’ll be really good at it.’
‘Yes, I will.’
‘Well, bye,’ Rose said and started up the rest of the stairs. When she entered the common room, Harry came over and demanded, ‘What took you so long?’
‘I ran into Neville along the way,’ Rose explained, as Hermione and Ron joined them. ‘He had sunk into one of the disappearing stairs. He also…he also told me about his parents. Oh my god, I wish I could kill that Lestrange woman. Voldemort, too.’
‘He did?’ Ron asked. ‘But he’s never told anybody.’
Rose shrugged and said, ‘He asked me if you told me, Harry, but when I said no, he told me even though I told him he didn’t have to. It’s horrible! Though I’m gald he told me in a way because then when I’m teaching him Occlumency, I’ll be able to avoid his memories about that.’
‘That’s true,’ Harry said softly. ‘Come on, we’d better do some homework.’ Rose nodded and they all sat down and completed their homework, Rose and Hermione checking it for the boys.
After they were done, it was pretty late and they decided to go to bed.
The next morning Rose was surprised to see she wasn’t tired when she woke up. She rolled over and saw that no one else was awake yet. She grabbed a piece of parchment and hastily scribbled a note:
Decided to go down to breakfast already.
Rose
She left it on Hermione’s robes and went downstairs. She passed the gargoyle guarding the stairway to Dumbledore’s office and decided she would like to talk to Dumbleore before she ate.
‘Chocolate Frog,’ she said.
The gargoyle moved out of the way and she ascended the stairs. She reached the top and was about to knock when she heard voices inside.
‘Yes, Dimitrius Potter is still alive, Alastor. His wife’s niece is attending school here now,’ Dumbledore said.
‘Hmm…I always wondered what happened to Dimitrius. He was such a nice boy. No regard for school rules, though. A bit like Harry in that regard. Say, Albus, there’s a girl outside your office, look like a Malfoy, who seems unsure whether or not to come in,’ the man named Alastor said.
‘Come in, Rose,’ Dumbledore said. ‘Alastor, this is Rose Larson, Harry Potter’s girlfriend. I recommend that you don’t mention her relationship to the Malfoys again unless you want her to hate you.’
‘You must be Alasstor Moody,’ Rose said. ‘Harry told me about Barty Crouch, Jr., using you to get inside Hogwarts to try and kill him. And Dumbledore’s right, I will hate you if you ever mention my relation to the Malfoys again. My father was a Malfoy and he beat my mother. Aunt Amelia is the only good Malfoy I’ve ever met.’
‘Who’s Amelia?’ Moody asked.
‘Uncle Dimitrius’s wife.’
‘Oh, so y ou’re the girl who told Albus that Dimitrius is still alive? Do you know why he disappeared? Everybody–‘
‘–thought he was dead,’ Rose finished for him. ‘For the third time NO! I really doubt everybody thought he was dead. I don’t think Aunt Amelia, Mom, or me think, or thought, he was dead.’
‘Rose,’ Dumbledore said, ‘why did you come up here?’
‘I was just wondering how big a class I waas going to be teaching at one time.’
‘Class?’ Moody asked.
‘Rose is teaching all the students Occlumency. Minerva thought it would be a good skill for students to know with Voldemort having regained his power.’
‘That makes sense.’
‘You will be teaching about twenty students in one class. If possible, I think it would be good to have two classes a day.’
‘Okay. As long as I have enough time to do my homework, I don’t mind two classes,’ Rose said.
‘So, you’re a sixth-year?’ Moody asked.
‘Yes,’ Rose said icily, ‘but I can do more complicated spells and know more potions by memory than you did when you were my age, or possibly even now.’
‘Highly unlikely.’
‘Can you make a Poly-Juice Potion, Veritaserum, or the most complicated form of a Love Potion by memory?’
‘Well…no.’
‘Okay, because I can, which just happens to prove you wrong!’ she snapped.
As Rose left she heard Moody say, ‘She sure has an awful temper.’
‘Not really, Alastor, she just doesn’t like it when people say she looks like a Malfoy. And she is not a morning person,’ she heard Dumbledore reply.
‘At least Dumbledore understands,’ she thought. ‘Everyone seems to think I don’t mind looking like a Malfo! Well, they’re completely wrong!
She went to the Great Hall and saw that she was one of the first people there. She sat down and started to eat. After a couple minutes Harry, Hermione, and Ron came in.
Sorry, I can’t type anymore now. I’ve got to go. I may or may not have time to type more up tomorrow. If I don’t have time tomorrow, I won’t be able to type anymore until Monday, ’cause I’m going to be out of town Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Sorry! If I don’t have time tomorrow, I’ll type up all the rest of chapter five on Monday, and maybe even some or all of chapter six
Click the link that Rober put in his description. It’s on the hp thread called Harry Potter.
It’s great!
Why did Dumbledore give Rose permission to transfigure students? It’s against the school rules!
Dunno. ‘Cause he liked Rose and thought it was funny? Actually, even though I wrote it I’ve got no clue. I don’t claim to know what goes on inside Dumbledore’s head.
Anyway, I’ll try and get some more written today. But I’ve got to study for my AP Calculus exam on May 3, or else I will do really horrible on it.
When shall you type the rest?
You haven’t posted any new stuff in 2 weeks!!!!!?!
make that three weeks
gee.get with it, Michelle.
please! you got your own thread….now USE IT!!!!!!!
you finished your calculus exam, so now you can do it, right!!!?!?!?!?!
make that four weeks
c’mon!!
Yes, I’m done with my calculus exam, but since I spent so much time studing for it and not doing my everyday school, I am at least two weeks behind, and I need to try and get caught up. I will try to type some more this Friday, the 12th. However, even if I do, what I’ve written so far ends pretty soon, ’cause I haven’t gotten anywhere near finishing the story. It doesn’t even go to Christmas time yet, and I definately don’t know when I’ll have time to actually write more.
it’s ok.
Sorry, don’t have time today after all, I forgot what day it was . Sorry! Maybe Monday, I hope…
can you do some now?
I noticed that Michelle W. forgot to indent. The story was good, though.
Purple Panda, a week from tomorrow, I think I will be taking my last final, so I think I can type some more on June 13. Sorry about the horribly long break, but I’m trying to get all my school work finished so I can enjoy the summer.
I’ll probably be able to type a week from this Wednesday, ’cause if I have anything left then it’ll just be vocab I think, and so therefore I should be able to have time to type.
Glad you like the story kiki! Forgot to indent…You mean indent the paragraphs? I couldn’t figure out how to get this stupid blog formatting to let me indent, so I just put returns between paragraphs.
Anyways, try to wait just a little over a week more, and if I’m lucky, I might just might be able to get on as soon as this Friday or perchance Monday, but I wouldn’t hold your breath…
well…*gasps for breath* its friday okay well um *holds breath*
Is Michelle even on the blog anymore?
Odd. Maybe her computer broke.
Maybe she’s doing something else. She said she had a lot of studying to do..but it’s summer. But she’s homeschooled. I don’t know. Maybe she doesn’t like us anymore *snibble*
nothing since april
That’s almost 6 months!! *ack!!*
Where has she been?…maybe she abandoned us…*sobs in lonely corner*
I heard, Warner Brothers has announced the release date for the sixth Harry Potter movie.
“Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” will open in theaters on November 21st, 2008, just in time for the holidays. No director has been attached to the project.
The Half-Blood Prince arrived in bookstores last summer and sold 6.9 million copies on its first day of release.
The upcoming fifth movie of the popular fantasy series, “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix,” is due out on next summer. I just can’t wait it!
*dies from lack of breath*
‘Hey, sleepyheads,’ she said when they sat down. ‘What took you so long to get up? I already had enough time to talk to Dumbledore and, I believe, make an enemy. Or at least make him dislike me.’
‘Who’s your new enemy?’ Harry asked curiously.
‘Alastor Moody. First thing he did when he saw me was say, ‘She looks like a Malfoy’. He never even apologised! And the first thing he does after I’m out of the room is say I have an awful temper! The jerk!’
‘Um…Rose?’ Ron said tentatively. ‘I think he might be right about your temper.’
‘Yeah, well, even if I do, he didn’t have to say it! Especially not when I could still hear him!’
‘But you said you’d left the room. Maybe he didn’t realise that you could still hear him,’ Hermione said.
‘I hadn’t even hardly shut the door! He has no manners, curse him!’
‘I wonder what he was doing here?’ Harry mused.
‘Don’t know, don’t care. Just as long as he’s not planning on spending any time here!’
They finished their breakfast in silence and Rose asked, ‘What’s first?’
‘Defence Against the Dark Arts,’ Harry said gloomily.
‘Curses, I hate Toadie!’
‘Don’t we all?’ Hermione asked.
‘Yeah, I suppose so. Except for Malfoy, he probably thinks she’s the best.’
‘He doesn’t count,’ Harry said.
They went to class and were the first ones there. ‘Where is everyone?’ Rose wondered aloud.
‘Dunno,’ Ron said.
Umbridge came in out fo a side room and said, ‘Hoping that if you got here early you could sneak a look at my lesson plan so you could cheat? Figures. What else could you expect of Harry Potter and company?’
‘We weren’t planning on cheating,’ Rose said. ‘We’re not even early! Even if we were, I don’t need to cheat to get good grades!’
‘Oh, really? You have an F in the course so far since you haven’t been at any of my classes except the first one,’ Umbridge sneered.
Rose shrugged and said, ‘Sorry!’
‘Ten points from Gryffindor for your rudeness. You should be glad Albus thinks you’re too weak still, or you’d have detentions.’
Rose sat down in her seat, biting her lip to keep from yelling at Umbridge. Harry sat down next to her and whispered, ‘You all right?’
Rose nodded and whispered back, ‘Yeah, just irritated.’
‘Another ten points from Gryffindor,’ Umbridge said gleefully.
Rose swore vilely at Umbridge under her breath.
The rest of the kids started arriving and Umbridge took role call.
After Defence Against the Dark Arts, they went to Charms class, which Rose hadn’t attended yet.
‘So,’ Rose said, ‘who teaches Charms?’
‘Professor Filius Flitwick,’ Hermione replied.
‘Is he a good teacher, and is he nice?’
‘Yes, he’s fine,’ Harry said.
They got to Charms and Professor Flitwick squeaked and exclaimed, ‘Rose Larson!’
‘Uh…yeah, I’m Rose.’
‘I was going to teach you how to levitate larger objects, like desks, today. And I’d like you to demonstrate since I hear you can levitate giant spiders.’
‘Okay.’
‘Please come up here now. I’d like you to levitate my desk now, just to make sure you can.’
Rose nodded and pulled out her wand. ‘Leviosa,’ she said, pointing at the desk. It roses up into the air and Rose let it back down gently.
‘Good, good,’ Flitwick said. ‘You’ll be a great help.’
‘I hope so, sir,’ Rose said, her cheeks turning pink.
The rest of the class arrived and Flitwick said, ‘We are going to practice levitating large objects today. We’re going to start with out desks. Rose Larson has agreed to help teach you.’
Rose smiled and waved.
‘Rose, please demonstrate and explain how to levitate a desk.’
Rose said, ‘When you levitate large objects, like desks, you use the smae spell as you use on smaller objects. It just requires more concentration.’
She t hen pulled out her wand, pointed at a desk, and said, ‘Leviosa,’ and the desk rose up. She put it back down and said, ‘It’s simple, reallly.’
Dumbledore came in just then and said, ‘Filius, I need to talk to you.’
Flitwick nodded and said, ‘Class, I’m going to leave you with Rose now. If I find out that any of you have disobeyed her, you will not be allowed to go to Hogsmeade.’
‘Okay,’ Rose said once Flitwick had left, ‘I’d like you all to try to levitate your desks now.’
She walked over to Neville because she could tell he was nervous about doing anything. She smiled and said, ‘Neville, hold your wand like this,’ she said, demonstrating, ‘and swish and flick. Just like this.’
He swish and flicked his wand again and Rose nodded and said, ‘Perfect! Now just do that while saying Leviosa. Okay?’
Neville nodded, and pointing at his desk, swished and flicked his wand and said, ‘Leviosa.’ His desk rose up into the air, and everyone stopped what they were doing and stared at him in shock.
‘Okay, Neville, yhou can put it back down, now. Just slowly move the point of your wand down until the desk’s on the floor,’ Rose instructed.
Neville did what Rose said, and as soon as the desk was safely back on the floor, everyone burst into wild applause.
‘Good job,’ Rose said softly. ‘I told you that you were capable of magic.’
Neville beamed and said, ‘Thank you.’
‘Okay, everybody,’ Rose said, ‘now see if you can do that.’
The other kids went back to work and by the time Flitwick came back, quite a few of them had levitated their desks.
Flitwick walked up to the front of the classroom and asked, ‘Who was the first person to successfully levittate their desk?’
Everyonoe shouted, ‘Neville!’
Flitwick squeaked excitedly and said, ‘Fifty points to Gryffindor!’
All the Gryffindors cheered and Rose smiled at Neville and said, ‘Why don’t you come up here and show Professor Flitwick?’
Neville walked nervously up to the front of the class and Rose said encouragingly, ‘Don’t worry, you’ll do fine as long as you remember what I said.’
Neville nodded, took out his wand, and pointed at the desk and said, ‘Leviosa.’ The desk once more rose up into the air. Neville let it back down with only a small thump when it hit the floor.
‘Good job,’ Flitwick squeaked, as everyone started applauding.
‘Has everyone managed to levitate their desks?’ Flitwick asked.
Everyone nodded and Flitwick said, ‘Then you can leave this class early! Bye!’
Rose walked over to Harry, Hermione, and Ron and said to Hermione, ‘How do you feel about Neville levitating a desk before you?’
‘I’m happy for him,’ Hermione responded truthfully.
Neville came over and said happily, ‘I think you’re right, Rose! I do have magic!’
‘I know. You just have to have confidence in yourself. I believe you can do much moe magic and complicated spells.’
Neville turned pink and said, ‘I hope so! Granny will be so proud.’
‘Yes, I’m sure she will.’
Neville left and Hermione said, ‘You really think he can do lots more magic?’
‘Yes, I think he’s subconsciously holding himself back because of what happened to his parents.’
‘Hmm…that kind of makes sense,’ Harry said. ‘Do you think he’ll be able to get better?’
‘Yes, I do. So, Potions next?’
‘Yes, but we have a half-hour of free time.’
‘I’m going to go to the library and study,’ Hermione said. ‘Anyone else coming?’
They all shook their heads and Hermione shrugged and walked off.
‘What do you want to do?’ Harry asked Rose.
‘You said that Myrtle was upset becuase you never visit her, right?
‘Moaning Myrtle? The ghost?’ Ron practically shouted.
‘Yes, Ron. I suppose that would be an okay idea. After all, she did help me with the second task in the Triwizard Tournament.’
They walked upstairs to the girls’ toilet where Myrtle lived and went itn.
‘Myrtle?’ Harry called softly. ‘I want to talk to you.’
Out of nowhere a ghost appeared, startling Rose.
‘Who’s she?’ Myrtle demanded.
I’m Rose,’ Rose answered. ‘You must be Myrtle. Harry’s told me about you. I think it was really nice of you to help him in the Triwizard Tournament.’
‘Are you Harry’s girlfriend?’ demanded Myrtle.
‘Well, yeah, I am.’
Myrtle turned to Harry and said, ‘What did you want to talk to me about?’
‘I wanted to thank you for your help in the Triwizard Tournament. I also wanted to apologise for not thanking you sooner. It wasn’t very polite of me.’
‘That’s all right, buut I can’t believe you didn’t tell me that you didn’t care for me and got a girlfriend!’
‘Myrtle,’ Rose said, ‘he’s telling you now that he has a girlfriend, and since I only met him Sunday, it doesn’t seem like that long of a time.’
‘That left him four whole days to say something!’
‘Two, because on Tuesday and Wednesday, I ws in the hospital because Draco Malfoy did a Cruciatus Curse on me and Harry didn’t want to leave my side. Maybe even only one, since Harry wasn’t my boyfriend on Monday.’
‘Oh, is Draco Malfoy that evil Slytherin boy? The one who hates Harry?’
‘Yes, he is. Also, sadly, my cousin.’
‘Oh, he hates you too?’
‘I don’t know if he hates me, but I definitely hate him.’
Rose looked down at her watch as she said this and said, ‘Oh my gosh, we have to run if we’re going to make it to Potions on time. Sorry, Myrtle. I’ll try and come back and visit you some other time. Okay?’
Myrtle nodded and said, ‘Bye,’ as Ron, Harry, and Rose ran out the door. They were almost to Potions when they ran right into Snape.
I don’t have time to type anymore right now. I need to get some schoolwork done. I’ll try and type up some more on Friday, but I can’t promise I’ll have time.
