during times of hardship, males tend to be stronger than males born during peacetime. this is because all the weak fetuses died. but for girls its the same. it shows that girls are biollogically stronger than men.

i HATE dresses and long skirts. i also hate minis, unless they are jean or REALLY REALLY cute. mostly i just stick to pants though. Have you ever seen a guy in a cheerleading skirt? it is really scary. (this guy in my class did it once for halloween and even scarier was he had enough hair for pigtails)

Okay, first off, a little pice of me dies when I see alternate spellings of either boys or girls. Just so you all know, when I’m supreme overlord of all things mortal and multi-celled, that’s my super weakness at which I will shrivel up and die.
Also I don’t see why being gay is gross. -shrug-
But! I do happen to know a large quantity of idiotic boys. I do have a good friend in my Leadership class who’s a boy, and we’re both equally disturbed/odd so it works out nicely. You should see his drawings. They’re so demented. xD
At my age group, everyone’s in such a hurry to be older than they are, and boys ( girls too though ) are SO full of themselves. It’s hilarious to watch though. Especially since everyone’s only about 13 or 14.
We need a female President. Need. I am o not even kidding.

You could be running mates. Pres. and VP. And appoint more girls to your cabinet.
I loathe male chavunists. I yell at them on a regular basis. Especially those wearing “Hooters” shirts. *gets mad just thinking about it*
My nails are currently a really cool greenish indigo.
I scare boys for some reason. It’s quite funny.
I seriously doubt I’ll get married. And I don’t want kids. a scene from Criminal Minds [CBS, 9EST, Wednesdays]:
Mrs. Hotchner: *holds her baby*
Garcia: Oh, look! It’s sooooo cute!
Reid: …yeah, if you find baldness and wrinkles attractive…
I must agree with Reid. Infants are disgusting.
20- I climbed a tree the other day. Climbing is one of the few physical things I can do properly. I have mastered every swingset I have come across.

Oh, woman’s plight against the oppressive, misogynistic male overlords that have ruled the planet and its resources, oh, poor babies. *insert vaguely Freudian feminist monologue*
I sympathize greatly. Would anyone mind if I ate the last sandwich?
And P.S. Gays are not gross, I hate painting my nails, cross-dressing guys are hot, it’s all right if a girl is taller than a guy in a relationship, and for the last time, NO ONE CARES ABOUT GIRL POWER ANYMORE!
Dear Earth,
Come out of the seventies. You suck.

i actually think it is fine if people are gay- its their choice and i think it is really sick, prejudiced and wrong for states not let people be married to the same sex there. (F.y.i- im SO NOT gay if anyone is wondering)

A girl power thread? Come one, peoples, the whole point of girl power thread is that it is an unstated truth. If you go around screaming “Girls Rule!” and “Girls are so much better than boys!” it seems like you have to prove that girls are just as good as boys. You DONT have to prove it. Girls and boys are equal. Some are idiots, some are not.
It’s bad when boys treat girls as inferiors but that doesnt give girls ANY right to treat boys as inferior.
Plus, if you exploit the fact that your a girl people turn it around on you and use it against you. Like everytime you get angry, the brush it off by saying your PMSing. Some people even say the reason that a woman cant be president is because if she were having hormonal problems during a national emergency, she wouldn’t be able to handle it.
So don’t, PLEASE dont get all caught up in the whole girls are better/ boys suck thing.
0

Girl power. Now that’s an annoying phrase. I’ve always found it rather patronizing, something like an adult patting me on the head and going “You’re special!!!!!! Be happy you’re a girl!!!!! You have GIRL POWER!!!!!!” Quite frankly, I’ve lived in “Girl World” my whole life, and recently I’ve become more and more accepted into “Guy World”. Sorry to say it, but Guy World is much cooler. Maybe it’s just because most of the girls I know are completely annoying ditzes, but it’s a fact I have encountered.

40-Dishes, not ditzes. Or ditzes, maybe it’s southern. I prefer drips, though. You can make references to faucets. And plumbers. *g*
0

No, it’s ditzes. Meaning they’re ditzy. Which basically means that they’re “blonde”. That’s what I’ve heard my entire life when referring to those type of girls, so it’s what I use.
0
0
MG has it right. Ditzes is the word I’ve always used. Though I actually kinda like dishes.
39- Ok, I should just drop this now, but the nearest local park would take an hour to walk to.
But it doesnt matter. There are actually some OK climbing trees near where I live. I just like complaing about AZ, which is silly, seeing as I love it.
Lets make this a “Ridiculous Insane People Power Thread”, instead.

Ditto to post 40, MontgomeryGurl. I go to a small private school, so there are only eleven or twelve other girls in my class to hang out with, and they don’t talk about anything interesting. While the guys are plotting world domination, the girls are complaining about split ends and messing with their makeup. Which group would you rather hang out with? Personally, I’ve never been very stereotypically feminine. I never wear makeup and I really don’t care about fashion. As for flirting, I have no idea how, lol.

I’m in a class with 5 guys and one girl: Me.
But, like I said, both genders suck.
0
0
hmm… Girl Power. k, im a feminist, but i dont relly use phrases such as that. but anyways
regarding girlishness, im at a happy medium. i like hippy-ish clothes + all, but i dont relly wear “girly” stuff. i wear some makeup, but i dont run to a mirror to touch it up every hour.
it annoys the h*** out of me when girls spend day after day obsessing over a guy. and when girls wear tiny little shirts + tiny little skirts. it makes them look incredibly desperate for attention, and unfortunately, these are the only girls most guys will spot, so then guys think all girls are like that. its an insult to our gender.
about guys…
look, we need guys, even though they can be idiots sometimes. so can we. did you know that the reason why most guys dont like to “just talk” has to do w/ how males are psychologically built? its a proven fact that guys like to socialize while theyre doing an actual activity (that may explain why so many guys are in sports), while girls prefer to just “talk” b/c they want to learn more about who they are talking w/. it sort of fits in with the philosophy that girls have the brains while guys hav the brawn.
for some reason…i like guys who are a little girly (hey! dont make fun of me! wipe that smirk off ur face!) maybe its b/c they dont feel the need to act all manly (aka foolish).

If there was award for most kid freindly people in america, the GAPAs would win grand prize.
Now I’ve gotta think of something to post.

Okay I’ve thought of something.
Some questions for the Muser Gals:
1. When was the last time you kicked the butt of some guy who was trying to get in your personal space?
2. What’s the most frusturating thing the culture tries to get you to do because you’re a girl?
3. Who is your favorite female role model?
4. Do you know any guys who seem to have an unusually high level of respect for gals?
And finally:
5. What’s the best thing about being a gal?
I’ll be back.
In about three seconds.
Coming up: Why Law & Order- Special Victim’s Unit, is the coolest show in all the earth.
4

0
In case you’re wondering, my most favorite show on TV, is the fabulous Law & Order-Special Victim’s Unit (SVU).
Has anyone else seen it?
For those of you who have never seen it, or are not old enough (the show contains disturbing adult content) I’ll tell you a bit.
Feel free to delete anything if you think I got a little mature GAPAs.
I apologize if I do.
SVU is a partner show for the popular original series, Law & Order, and for Law & Order- Criminal Intent, which deals with particularly dangerous criminals.
SVU is the show that deals with violence of a sexual nature.
In order to protect us from spammers, I’m not going to say the exact names, but let’s just put it this way:
violence against women
violence against children
That’s what you’re most likely to see on SVU.
So why the heck is it so hot?
Olivia Benson.
Detective, Olivia Benson.
Who is Detective Olivia Benson? you ask.
She is the toughest, strongest, coolest, smartest, and most amazing female character in TV history.
Olivia joined the SVU, because her own mother, was the victim of the R word (spam block).
Most of the people on SVU are guys, but once Olivia enters the room, you won’t even notice them.
Every gal should have a pal like Olivia.
If you were walking down the street at night, and some pack of butt-brains started mol-you know what I mean, Olivia would whoop their sorry balls.
She knows how to show a guy who’s boss.
Example:
Once, she was talking to a crook in a fix-it show, with her detective parnter, Elliot Stabler (he’s good also).
The man they were talking to was being highly inappropriate with Olivia, touching her hair and what not.
Finally, the guy goes to far, trying to touch her chest.
Olivia, who has been trying to ignore the guy for most of the time, suddenly booms to life, delivering a fabulous, and much deserved punch to the man’s solar-plexis.
He fall to the floor, and they handcuff him.
Isn’t that hot?
Let me just say, it’s a crying shame, that anyoje under the age of about 14, should stay far away from SVU.
It may contain totally foul violence towards women and children, and the crimes the SVU crew deal with are downright scary. But it seems to be highly theraputic for people who have actually lived through that kind of crap.
Chris Melloni, who plays Eliiot Stabler, said on the DVD bonus feattures of season two, that he had had the R word survivors come up and hug him on the street.
By the way: Mariska Hargitay plays Olivia Benson.
So all you older gals, get your butts off the MuseBlog for a moment, head on down to Amazon.com, and purchase the complete first season of SVU. If you like that, purchase all available seasons.
Trust me. Once you see Olivia in action, you’ll never have to worry about gal disrespecting guys again.
I on the one hand, am a gal respecting guy.
I have to go eat dinner now.
We’ll be watching Ellen (the sitcom) on DVD while we eat.
Next time, I’ll be saying some things about bonobos.
QUESTION: What do you know about bonobos, gals?
Okay, see you later.

1. When was the last time you kicked the butt of some guy who was trying to get in your personal space?
Um… well, I’ve never actually kicked a guy’s butt because of that reason, but once this guy tried to use me as an armrest, and I back up really quick and made his arm fall off my shoulder. Then I looked at him and said “Five. Bucks. A. Minute.” That was around…. a month and a half ago. Something like that.
2. What’s the most frusturating thing the culture tries to get you to do because you’re a girl?
Everyone is always trying to make me get outraged and feel opressed. I personally do not feel opressed, and I’m sick of people telling me that I should.
3. Who is your favorite female role model?
Ann Coulter. She’s brilliant, funny, politically incorrect, and bold.
4. Do you know any guys who seem to have an unusually high level of respect for gals?
Almost all the guys I know really respect girls. I don’t know any that I would say “Um… well, you didn’t have to go THAT far in being respectful” to, but I haven’t been around a whole lot of “average” guys in my lifetime.
5. What’s the best thing about being a gal?
If I ever don’t get my way, I can scream “DISCRIMINATION!!!!!”

Mutt thinks girls have more brains. this was probably affected by all the idiots in my grade. all of which are, yes, boys. one of them is actually a self-declared idiot. “I’m so stupid!” “I’m such an idiot!”-Mr.self-declared-idiot. you get the point.

(55) Well this wasn’t exactly asked in your questions but I’ll just sum up my views and experiences on the matter of being a girl.
The most frusterating that’s happened to me recently is being brushing off my irritation for PMS. Then I tried to explain to them (calmly) how incredibly wrong and illogical it was to do that and they just “It’s ok, Skipper. Relax, jeez.” and then they went and whispered about how it was PMS. And they probably didnt even think it was that, they just knew it would get to me.
What’s also just as bad is when GIRLS make that excuse. It drives me insane! If you want the world to take you serioulsy you cant just rant and rave and be angry and then say “leave me alone, Im PMSing, ok?’ PMS and such things can be suppressed an ignored.
(I have a friend who does this a lot)
Also, I hate it that girls have to be the ones to giggle on the sidelines when guys get to play around and stuff.
On the other hand, I dont like people who go to the opposite extreme and treat guys bad and stuff.
And ya know what else? This might sound like a stretch but I’ve found that once you hit 7th grade, its uncool and unconventional for a girl to be into math. At that point, it becomes the men’s domain. Just like writing becomes the woman’s area. I like writing and math equally!!
Grr. There are actually a lot of really sexist guys at our school and one QUITE sexist teacher. And she’s a woman! I know she doesnt do it purposely; it’s that old implicit bias kicking in; but she’s really bad about it.

“The most frusterating that’s happened to me recently is my irritation being brushed off for PMS”

The only makeup I wear is eyeliner. It’s fun.
SVU is cool.
from comment 55:
1. When was the last time you kicked the butt of some guy who was trying to get in your personal space? Uh, my friend’s sweet sixteen. actually, I only need to glare him down, he’s already slightly afraid of me….heh heh heh
2. What’s the most frusturating thing the culture tries to get you to do because you’re a girl? Pagents, and to wear dresses to certain occasions. I don’t mind dresses, but only when there’s clear weather. Long skirts and rain don’t mix well.
3. Who is your favorite female role model? I really don’t know. That lady who tried to run for president back before women were granted suffrage; yes, it’s sad that I don’t recall her name…
4. Do you know any guys who seem to have an unusually high level of respect for gals? Um, no. Actually the MB boys. Sort-of.
And finally:
5. What’s the best thing about being a gal?Common sense. Which really isn’t that common.

There are about five chauvinistic idiots at my school that I must put up with on a regular basis. I call them that to their faces all the time, or something like sexist misogynists and they don’t even know what I’m saying. Course, most of them are “Git-R-Done” hicks, so I can’t really blame them. It was the way they were raised. My friends, female and male, laugh at them all the time.
My friend Jensen, her dad is in the Air Force, and he once had this girl in his squadron whose name was Female. I am not kidding. It was pronounced like how you would say tamale.

GotES (64),
That’s exciting! A friend of mine who worked as a physician’s assistant used to tell stories she’d heard in the maternity ward about weird names people had given their children. I was never sure how many were true and how many were like medical urban legends. In one, a new mother and her husband saw their baby girl in a hospital crib, read the label “FEMALE,” and said, “Oh, look! They’ve named our baby for us: Feh-MAH-ley.”
Well, now I know what happened to little Female: she grew up, joined the Air Force, and wound up in your father’s squadron. It’s a small world.

I go away for a sleep-over and come back to 30 new comments- I love Museblog. xD
(55) Ooh a survey!
1. When was the last time you kicked the butt of some guy who was trying to get in your personal space?
Well, i jusy disturb people in general, so I’d say
2. What’s the most frusturating thing the culture tries to get you to do because you’re a girl?
Wear disgusting chemicals and no clothing. In other words- make up and the supposed “fashion”. That’s not fashion, that’s taking a normal outfit and removing three fourths of it. I also dislike how there’s this whole “OMG YOU IS A GIRL YOU CAN DO ANYTHING YOU WANT DON’T BE AFRAID!” mentality. I don’t need the boost, thanks.
3. Who is your favorite female role model?
Oh this is hard. I’m bad with remembering…Susan B.Anthony is up there. But I’d have to say Amy Tan.
4. Do you know any guys who seem to have an unusually high level of respect for gals?
I know a lot who aren’t jerks, but not exactly like that. Maybe one.
5. What’s the best thing about being a gal?
Don’t kill me for this, but I’ve always liked the fact that women don’t have to join the army. I know, I know the draft is dead, but even so, I’ve always felt relief thinking that.
Oh, and squealing over CG characters while you get wierd looks, but that may just be me.

. What’s the most frusturating thing the culture tries to get you to do because you’re a girl?
Wear low-rise pants that show your butt crack whenever you bend down
3. Who is your favorite female role model?
Martha Stewart. Shjes an airhead. Very laughable person.
4. Do you know any guys who seem to have an unusually high level of respect for gals?
Yes, and he had aspergurs syndrome and ADHD
5. What’s the best thing about being a gal?
Not haveing to wear a protective sheild over my private parts when I play sports.

I’m procrastinating (I don’t wanna do homework!!!) so I guess I’ll do this thing:
1. When was the last time you kicked the butt of some guy who was trying to get in your personal space?
Um. Well. Let’s just say that I’m a believer in non-violence, and I’m definitely do not have mad ninja skillz.
2. What’s the most frusturating thing the culture tries to get you to do because you’re a girl?
I think that falls under the catagory of “too much information”, but things like shaving legs, flaunting sexuality, etc.
3. Who is your favorite female role model?
No idea. I have trouble thinking of role models in general..
4. Do you know any guys who seem to have an unusually high level of respect for gals?
“Unusually high”? What precisely does that mean? How high is “unusually”? Does that imply that most guys don’t respect girls?
5. What’s the best thing about being a gal?
I’m going to go with Axa on this and say not being drafted.

67- Correction, oh wise GAPA. It was my friend Jensen’s dad’s squadron, not mine. My dad is the general manager of a restaurant. He wouldn’t know Air Force if it came up and kicked him on the pancreas. He’s still pretty patriotic though. But not the annoying, 50s type of patriotic.
55-
1. Well, I’m only eleven, so guys don’t really get up in my personal space that much, and when they do, I tend to sink into the background so they can find someone else to annoy.
2. Urgh. Where do I begin? I guess with the number one most irritating thing: being stared at and being branded as “gay” if we try to take up any major roll anywhere. They all expect us to be pretty little wall flowers who do whatever men tell us to and only stand out if it is with a man or if it’s for what society accepts as female beauty. The whole “flaunt your sexuality” thing drives me almost as insane. The only make-up I like to wear is chapstick, and that’s not really make-up anyway. I also despise miniskirts and tight shirts.
3. I’d have to say either my mom, Rosa Parks, or Marie Curie, all whom are/were eons ahead of their time.
4. Nope, I got nothing.
5. Being able to show emotions on a larger scale than males.
0
0
Motivational crap and why its bull:
You can do anything: I can’t fly
You can do anything they can do: I can’t pee standing up (Well, OK, I taught myself how, but most girls can’t)
Girl Power: Anybody who says they have power really doesn’t
Don’t let men push you around: What if they’re the President?
You have stength: I might, but a lot of girls are thin as paper

MY WORD!
I never expected there would be so many respones to my survey in such a short time.
Question for number 61: What do you like about SVU? I’m always glad to talk to a fellow Olivia lover.
0
0
Okay, I promised I’d post some stuff on bonobos, and this is the perfect tme to do so .
By the way GAPAs: I will do my very best to be a little more descreet when describing the bonobo’s sex life.
I must admit I was quite shocked that you didn’t obliterate my SVU post.
Anyway, here we go.
Bonobos, for all of you who don’t know about them, are the ultimate feminists. They are fabulous great apes, who take girl power to the extreme.
With most other animals, including our own, if a male wants something, he’s gonna badger, bug, and abuse the female till he gets it.
If a bonobo male tried that, he would be in for a sex change operation.
Bonobos are very peaceful animals, and are 150% better at getting along, then humans, or the closely (well sort of) realated chimpanzee.
Chimpanzees are obnoxiously patriarchal. Their culture is basically battered woman to the extreme. I don’t have anything against chimps as animals on this earth, but their political, female abusing society drives me nuts.
Bonobos on the other hand, are highly matriarchal, and the boys wouldn’t dream of stepping out of line.
Here’s how they maintain their dominance.
Once again GAPAs, I shall try to be more descreet.
The er, private area on bonobo and chimp females swells up when they get their period. Thanbk goddess human females don’t have to live with that.
Anyway, chimp females are only swollen during thier estrus period, but bonobo females have prolonged swellings.
In order to establish bonds, bonobo females engage in a form of sexual contact. You can find out what it’s called by googling bonobos.
[A bit that was too graphic for MuseBlog was here until I deleted it. — Rosanne]
Once the females have done this, they become freinds, and can work together to keep the boys from stepping out of line.
So in other words, if some lumox guy at your school or something is giving you grief, go and shanke hands with a few other gals.
I’m not saying you should drop your pants when some guy is being a jerk. I would be rightfully sentanced to life in prison if that were the case.
I’m just saying, that if you need to stand up to something, take a tip from teh bonobo gals, and band together.
Bonobo males are definitley gal respecting guys, but they aren’t nearly as good as the gals.
Also, bonobos are incredibly attractive.
You can find out tons more about this drop dead fabulous primate, by purchasing one of the follopwing books:
Bonobo-The Forgotten Ape- By Frans De Waal
or
The Last Ape- By Takayoshi Kano
Not reccomended for kids under 14 or so.
Both books contain strong sexuality.
In case your worried about the idea, bonobos are not the s word, freaks. Yes, they do make a lot of l, but they do it for an extremely good purpose. To keep the peace, and keep the girls on top.
So make up with any girl you’ve had a fight with. Ban together and show the male gender who’s boss. God nows we deserve it.
NOTE: IF YOU NOW ANYTHING ABOUT BONOBOS, PLEASE POST YOUR OWN MINI ARTICHAL ON THIS THREAD.
The nicest thing you can say to a girl? You’re such a bonobo.
I hope at least a few of you will post your own mini artichal on the ultimate feminists.
How’d I do GAPAs?

(79) Some of those are actually contradictory if you think about it.
The best way to annoy someone who’s bugging you is to exclude them.
Ex:
Random meat boy child: Hey, what’s up with your shirt? It has (insert fandom, etc here) on it. That’s FREAKY AND WIERD/ other bugg-ish thing to say.
My friend: No, it’s your mom.
RMBC: What? That’ stupid.
Me: You know what’s stupid? Reading to chapter 18 and finding that it’s not updated.
Friend: I HATE THAT.
Me: SO DO I. MY PRECIOUS YAOI WAS STOLEN FROM ME
FRIEND: I CRY FOR YOU SISTER.
RMBC: Yaoi…?
Us: -uproarious laughter-
End example.
It works. All the time. Incorporate names and inside jokes as often as possible.

86- Yeah, I only usually have time on the weekends for makeup. On schooldays, I only have time to line the bottoms of my eyes [in this spiffy blue that matches them] in the car. I have mastered the art of makeup-application-in-a-moving-vehicle-without-blinding-oneself!

Number 87- Yes I am a guy. But I have a strong level of respect for you gals.
Number 85- If you’re saying you’d be afraid of making a fool of yourself, don’t worry. It’s the effort that counts. If that’s not what you’re saying, then forgive me.
TALK ABOUT BONOBOS GALS!

I never wear makeup. It’s not my fault I naturally resemble a baboon. And I can execeute anyone who makes opprobrious remarks about my personal appearance. *pouts prettily*
Let’s talk about something more interesting than makeup. Like the fact that the US goverment funds the Boy Scouts and not the Girl Scouts, and that the Boy Scouts are now run by Mormons, who have eliminated homosexuals and atheists from the program. How do we feel about this, children?

I never wear makeup either…who needs it?

Ach. Girl power. *wilts* I despise dresses and skirts, i never wear makeup, i hate high heels, i have short hair…what more can i say?
Well everybody’s talking about post 55, so i actually looked up there. *gasp* Amazing. Here ’tis…
1. When was the last time you kicked the butt of some guy who was trying to get in your personal space? Doesn’t happen often. I tend to kick guys out of my personal space. Kicking guys is one of my specialities. Ask Andy and Hunter. Although i rarely actually try to hurt them. More of a recreation than anything.
2. What’s the most frusturating thing the culture tries to get you to do because you’re a girl? Ergh. Where to start?
3. Who is your favorite female role model? Hmm…i could list menny of my fav female authors here or i could go back to the rebellious feminists, or i could think of female scientists and doctors and suchlike, or i could name the GAPA or Naka or Pollyhymnia…or i could maintain a sense of mystery. Picking role models is always hard for me for some reason.
4. Do you know any guys who seem to have an unusually high level of respect for gals? Oh sure. Weckstein for one. (Yes, the one MG stalks) Jacob/Yaakov…Preston’s pretty froody like that although i don’t really talk to him much outside of english…can’t think of any more at the moment but i’m sure i know others.
And finally:
5. What’s the best thing about being a gal? Hmm…well being able to kick guys is always a plus…we have something to be rebellious about-always fun, being in rebellion. Other than that i really can’t say…oh except that we are infintitely more mature, and live longer, and are just generally hoopy and all that. XD

#76: yeah, i think that expression is kind of stupid. hehe, that reminds me of those demotivational posters featured in muse a few years ago…those were cool
i always wear black eyeliner + mascara + not much else. anything like blush or bronzer doesnt seem to show up on my face.
who is your favourite female role model?
kate beckinsale definitely kicked butt in underworld .
…otherwise, my role models are mostly rocker chicks, just b/c i sort of secretly aspire to be a rocker.

The un biased version: Momonism is a type of Christianity. Also known as the Latter Day Saits of Jesus Christ, they are centered in Utah- Salt Lake City.
I have my own opinions which will not be discussed.
I tried my mom’s make up on once- I looked so stupid I just started laughing.

it kinda bugs me when people are say: girls should rule the world, or we should put more girls in the government. we should put GOOD people in the government and not care about their gender. Girl role model: the lady who tried to stop them burning the bookls in the library at alexandria.
cool definition of feminism: the idea that women are people to.
also, the whole thing about how women are not supposed to climb trees is kind of ironic because climbing is one of the few sports where women are as good or better than men.

84- What if I am scared of most girls. Have you ever been punched by a girl? What if they think that is an insult? Is fear high leval of respect? I have a high level of resect for all girls that aren’t mean.

Political correctness is like the Das keyboard-it’s a brilliant idea but it only works if you know how to use it. And it’s trying to reset the balance for centuries of cultural brouhaha.
1. When was the last time you kicked the butt of some guy who was trying to get in your personal space? Friday.
2. What’s the most frusturating thing the culture tries to get you to do because you’re a girl? Shave. And wear makeup and perfume, and complain about men all the time. And high-heeled stilettos instead of steel-toed Docs.
3. Who is your favorite female role model? Let’s see. Hmm. Can I pass on this question?
4. Do you know any guys who seem to have an unusually high level of respect for girls? Not that would enjoy seeing themselves on the Museblog.
5. What’s the best thing about being a girl? Hoochie tops. And being able to flirt outrageously.
0
0
(117) Of course it’s politically correct to accuse girls of being sexist! Girls are sexist all the time, just in different ways. Woman are even sexist to other women, not just to men; my dad did this thing on subtle discrimination, which basicly similar to implicit assocation. Women were found to discriminate against other women when reviewing job applications, just like men. All human beings have the same potential to discriminate; it’s just that the one by men against women has been particulary bad.

Some questions for the Muser Gals:
1. When was the last time you kicked the butt of some guy who was trying to get in your personal space?
Well, never, but fortunately I’ve never been in a situation to have to do so. Guys tend to avoid me. I think I scare them because I actually want to have intelligent conversations, not just mindlessly flirt with them.
2. What’s the most frusturating thing the culture tries to get you to do because you’re a girl?
Conform to the culture’s image of the ideal woman and/or let myself be seen as a sex symbol. The girls at school and church are always trying to get me to put on gobs of makeup, spray tons of style gel in my hair, and wear more fashionable clothes. They also seem to think my life is incomplete without a boyfriend. So what if I’m not a stick figure, I don’t flirt constantly, I don’t wear makeup, I really don’t care that much about my appearance, and I don’t wear tiny, skin-tight, revealing clothes? I refuse to change my image to suit someone else’s ideas. I am who I am. Deal with it!
3. Who is your favorite female role model?
Probably my Roman history teacher this year. She’s really smart and although she has a successful husband and a family she’s very independent and perfectly capable of taking care of herself. She’s not afraid to stand up for herself either.
4. Do you know any guys who seem to have an unusually high level of respect for gals?
Unfortunately, no. Most of the guys at my school are politely respectful, but not any more than usual.
And finally:
5. What’s the best thing about being a gal?
Being free to be who you are and express yourself. If you want to be more feminine and wear dresses, flowing skirts, makeup, etc., you can, but if you’re more of a tomboy you can just as easily wear t-shirts and jeans if you prefer them.

1. When was the last time you kicked the butt of some guy who was trying to get in your personal space?
i lost track.o.0
2. What’s the most frusturating thing the culture tries to get you to do because you’re a girl?
makeup. being girlish. all that junk.
3. Who is your favorite female role model?
that’d have to be the female leader for Riverdance in the first show or the one who rides Erin Go Braugh
4. Do you know any guys who seem to have an unusually high level of respect for gals?
no. let me think on that…eh, Jem? the kid i haven’t talked to in ages. gah.
And finally:
5. What’s the best thing about being a gal?
we get to laugh about the boys with our science teacher. we get to do all the fun stuff in the science lab. we don’t have assigned seats in science. we get to be as weird as we want and freak the boys out of their minds. we get to laugh at them for being idiots/listening to beatles/listening and knowing the worst songs on earth/not being able to riverdance or know Comfort Eagle by heart.

22: All of mankind was created equal, and since womankind was created out of mankind (Eve was formed out of one of Adam's ribs), so everyone in the world is equal. And no, I am not jealous.
I am currently taking and acing Algebra 1 in 8th grade. Everyone else that I talk to about being so good at Algebras and maths say that they hated math that kind of thing. I am naturally-born smart. Heck, I was reading by the age of 3!
My mom tried to get me into public school but they wouldn't let me. They said that I was too young and junk. They said they would've let me into a school for the disabled, but there was no flaws in me. Mom told them that I was disabled. I was (and still am) a genius. I practice long division in my head in spare time. Everyone has their strengths and weaknesses, and nobody's perfect.
I will be taking some college classes next grade (9th) at New River Community College and Virginia Tech (the place with the closest engineering program there are) (about 45min to 1 hour from my place of residence.)
I am going to take a dual-credit program, which will allow me to knock out high school and get college credit at Virginia Tech. Should knock off a couple of years of college.
I will become a biomedical engineer. Do you know what that is? It is a specialized field in engineering that has to do with designing, creating, and testing artificial body parts, such as motorized hands and things of the like.
So here I am, homeschooled, at the age of 13, in 8th grade. I oughta out of it by May-June-July.
There. Do you understand why I am not jealous? Because I am just as good and skilled as you. We're equals.

I’m 13 too, but they make us take algebra 1 in 7th grade at my school. In febuary, I took the ACT college entrance exam, and knocked out 93% of all high school seniors in some fields. I may apply to go into my local university early, but I’m not so sure. For one thing, I’m not sure the University of Washington is where I want to go.
The christian (yes, I am christian) creation myth (myth does NOT mean not true) seems a little backwards to me. It says woman was created out of man, when really it is the other way around. Every man came from a woman.
When people ask me about my position on the eveloution/intelligent design debate, I say this: “Darwin’s theory is correct. But, that said, the Bible is not lying. It is only laying out the story in more figurative prose. Each of the days, in reality, lasted billions of years.”
I also do not reject other religions. Each one acknoledges a supirior being, they just have different names for it, and different ways it is represented. I call it God. That is in no way supirior or inferior to those who call it Buddha, or Allah, which is the word for God in Arabic.

Or ANY religion you can think of. Everybody is equal.

134- Yeah, I was reading novels in preschool. My mom yelled at [or at least that was my interpretation of it] the publick school board until i got in early. So I’m a year younger than most people in my class. Two years younger than the people who either failed and were held back, or whose parents held them back for some freakish reason. i have been trying to convince my parents to homeschool me since about second grade. Now I am stuck in this high school, bored out of my mind.

To me, there is nothing. Equal is just a word, in the same way that unequal is just a word. Humans are unable toc ope without clear definitions of all things, with out barriers and borders, and thus have made words and rules.

this thread is awesome.
I generally find that lesbian girls are more pleasant to spend time with than straight ones.
FIRST POST yea! *does the 1 post dance*
We GURLS rock!
now please let me be first or all my self esteem from getting first post will be gone
should we ban males from this thread?
Both genders suck. Girls are crazy when they get their peirod and boys are just plain arrogant.
did u know that girls live longer than boys?*looks smug*
boys are so obnoxious during class- did you know that the cutest guy in uor skool is pretty mean and im starting to think he’s Gay! eeew! but he does have the cutest eyes…*looks thoughtful* hes in my math class
omg you guys are so unfair. some of my best friends are bois. im only in 3rd grade though
during times of hardship, males tend to be stronger than males born during peacetime. this is because all the weak fetuses died. but for girls its the same. it shows that girls are biollogically stronger than men.
GIRL POWER! [excellent…]
Excuse me, but I’m busy being mad that the ERA wasn’t passed.
FEMINISM!
ignore her
you know the guy i said was Gay? well he really isnt – i just think that cuz he was mean to me and i dont want to hav a crush on a guy who is mean. (although i think its too late) hes really short, like under 5 foot and im 5’6″ so it wouldnt really work
he does only hang out withthese 3 girls most of the time. and wheen he sits with the guys at lunch well his behavior is…….
like my new gurlyish name?
i HATE dresses and long skirts. i also hate minis, unless they are jean or REALLY REALLY cute. mostly i just stick to pants though.
Need. I am o not even kidding.
girl power sounds so hippie. it is so not cool and needs to be changed NOW!
Axa- did u know i always wanted to be first female prez? now im gonna be a lawyer and ive changed my name so it isnt making you mad any more
GO PENGUIN!!!!
I want to be president, but I don’t care whether I’m the first female prez.
just don’t run gainst me,k?
I don’t want to run against a fellow museblogger.
But, if i must…
A good name for this would be Girls Rule or any thing besides Girl Power
i just painted my nails lime green. (im really bored)
Gosh, don’t you girls have anything better to do with yourselves? Climb a tree, goof off, that sort of thing. Or is it raining at your house like it is mine?
20-*acts offended* i climb trees and i so rafting on my pond with my cousins on rafts we built.
yuor just jelouse cuz we’re smarter *sticks out tounge* and we have a life
17- dont worry im gonna be a lawyer. i also cant cuz im a dual citizin, and 2 be prez, id hav to give up my NZ citizenship, wich i would NEVER do
Girls are so much better than boys
DIEDIEDIE I’m not arrogant. make a boys thread. PLEASE
4-
I resent that.
You girls are makeing me feel so mean. and sad. but im not.
Overhyped. End of story. Done.
You suck.
Love,
Queenie
i dont have anything negative to say about being gay. no i just dont really want to go out with a “gay” guy who is mean. go see post 10
i actually think it is fine if people are gay- its their choice and i think it is really sick, prejudiced and wrong for states not let people be married to the same sex there.
So don’t, PLEASE dont get all caught up in the whole girls are better/ boys suck thing.
>.> Why is there a need to bold and capitalize the fact then?
-drops-
Yeah Crossdressing guys are hot. Main concept around J-rockers! Heaarrrrrrrtttttt.
YAY!
A GIRL THREAD!
so….
*PIES MALES WHO POSTED ON THREAD*
22: I have a life too! I got a BB gun today! HA! But it’s been raining all day and I had to do school. Now I have to eat dinner and then take care of my goats outside. Then it’s more school.
26-ditto
34-see boys thread
20: I like climing trees. but most of the trees here are 1) covered in inch long spines and 2) way to small to climb. i usually wait until I am in the mountains or somewhere else to climb.
I LOVE CLIMBING TREES!!!!!!!!!
37- You can always climb the fences and swingsets at local parks.
(28) *claps*
30-Hypocrite. *coughs*
40-Dishes, not ditzes. Or ditzes, maybe it’s southern. I prefer drips, though. You can make references to faucets. And plumbers. *g*
No, it’s ditzes. Meaning they’re ditzy. Which basically means that they’re “blonde”. That’s what I’ve heard my entire life when referring to those type of girls, so it’s what I use.
As for flirting, I have no idea how, lol.
yes, Pink peignuin, it was in Muse.
Being the person I am, I must sum up this post in the most eloquent way possible.
Girls Rule!
#40 except for musers of course. i homeschool so i dont exactly get out a lot. or really meet anyone, boy or girl.
i took a really bad class last year with only four girls in it. and only two sevies. and it was terrible. the gapa i probably tired of hearing about this stupid class, but it really drove me nuts.
My Jazz Band has 18 people in it, including the director. There are 3 girls.
Hyup.
What was the class, Em?
Hey, FantasyFan, are you a Christian? Because if you are, there’s a great speech and debate league for Christian homeschoolers. It’s where I met all my friends. If you’re not… sorry, can’t help much.
I’m in a class with 5 guys and one girl: Me.
But, like I said, both genders suck.
hmm… Girl Power. k, im a feminist, but i dont relly use phrases such as that. but anyways
regarding girlishness, im at a happy medium. i like hippy-ish clothes + all, but i dont relly wear “girly” stuff. i wear some makeup, but i dont run to a mirror to touch it up every hour.
it annoys the h*** out of me when girls spend day after day obsessing over a guy. and when girls wear tiny little shirts + tiny little skirts. it makes them look incredibly desperate for attention, and unfortunately, these are the only girls most guys will spot, so then guys think all girls are like that. its an insult to our gender.
about guys…
look, we need guys, even though they can be idiots sometimes. so can we. did you know that the reason why most guys dont like to “just talk” has to do w/ how males are psychologically built? its a proven fact that guys like to socialize while theyre doing an actual activity (that may explain why so many guys are in sports), while girls prefer to just “talk” b/c they want to learn more about who they are talking w/. it sort of fits in with the philosophy that girls have the brains while guys hav the brawn.
for some reason…i like guys who are a little girly (hey! dont make fun of me! wipe that smirk off ur face!) maybe its b/c they dont feel the need to act all manly (aka foolish).
THANK GOD, OR RATHER, GODESS, THEY FINALLY STARTED A ‘GIRL POWER’ THREAD!
4
I just read part of my post; I made a mistake. I meant
“The most frusterating that’s happened to me recently is my irritation being brushed off for PMS”
sorry.
Which really isn’t that common.
i hate how people blame everything on PMS. So you’re more assertive than usual? Big deal.
I dont know for all those questions. however, i do have problems with my dads conviction that women shouldnt wear pants. he doesnt actually tell me not to, but…
There are about five chauvinistic idiots at my school that I must put up with on a regular basis.
I like freaking out guys. It’s fun. Most of the guys I know, except for six or seven at my school, and the dudes on MuseBlog, are total morons.
63- I don’t see why women shouldn’t wear pants.. If he thinks that it’s cross-dressing or something like that you could point out that the Scottish, the Egyptians, monks, etc, all wore robes/skirts.. =)
GotES (64),
That’s exciting!
This is SAD:
One of our neighbors named their chiled Seven after Ben Roethlisberger’s football number.
SAD……..
(67) I heard that story too, only a slightly different version. Funny.
GAPA, its true, andI know whoes baby it was.
My hebrew school teachers friend. My hebrew school teacher is an ambassador from Isreal, and she told us that story about people that came from Isreal to America and had a baby here. Strange coinincdence… its a small small world.
Either that, or it happens a lot.
Its probably happened 20 or 30 times in the USA, since we get so many non english speakig immigrants here.
I hate it when people say something to the effect of “you can do anything.” No, you can’t. There are some things you will never do. I hate overly motivational crap.
hmm
5. Being able to show emotions on a larger scale than males.
Agreed, agreed.
If I wanted to, I could take someone down-karate really is very useful. Not that I would. Ohoho.^w^
I can sing “Hes a Tramp’ accually sound good. Nothing that a guy could do
(U)

MY WORD!
I never expected there would be so many respones to my survey in such a short time.
Question for number 61: What do you like about SVU? I’m always glad to talk to a fellow Olivia lover.
Excellent.
Incorporate names and inside jokes as often as possible.
isnt cedar a guy
i almost never wear makeup- it takes up to much time
85- I’ve done that, but we usually quote dorky shows
86- Yeah, I only usually have time on the weekends for makeup.
DAIMONDS ARE NO LONGER A GIRL’S BEST FREIND!
90. Nope, Urania is
I never wear makeup.
XD
(92) That’s against the law, and it sickens me. SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE YOU FOOLS. D
They don’t allow aitheists? I know a lot of Atheists in boy scouts. And whats a mormon?
Wow, I never guessed how popular this thread would be.
it kinda bugs me when people are say: girls should rule the world, or we should put more girls in the government. we should put GOOD people in the government and not care about their gender.
Wait, goverment funding? We don’t get squat. We have to have a fundraiser like every month to keep the troop going.
98 – agreed….
Cedar- there is a boy power thread
you know that right?
*decides if he keeps on posting here, she will throw pies in his face*
it is so hard to walk in high heels. and even worse i have to dance in high heels in the SKOOL play, Pirates of Penzance. i fall off the stage when i dance in sneakers, but ii guess thats cuz im on the total edge but still……………
91- My best friend is Mimi, I don’t know about you.
Yeah, but even though Girl Scouts gets no government funding, people still like our cookies a lot. It’s why we don’t need help form the government.
For Zark’s sake, Penguin, stop with the pie war!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
92- Let’s steal all of their popcorn!
What are we actually going to be talking about on here?
good point
95- Sadly, that almost never happens. My district’s courthouse is always decorated for every Christian holiday. With huge decorations that were almost definately purchaced with government funds. And then, there are Bush’s faith-based programs. Let’s just hope we don’t have another witch-hunt…
I should probably stop using different names on different threads, because they keep changing every time I reload eavh page…grr…
Since it didn’t go through on the rnadom thread…
Me: leave me alone
mom: how old are you
Me: Tewleve
Mom: When you’re 13, I’ll leave you alone
**each
This thread is useless.
Same problem Melpomene. -dies-
It’s possible for girls to be sexist oo, people just don’t think of it because they feel guilty. It’s like neo-racsim, or whatever it’s called.
my threat worked- cedar is no longer posting here. i think………..
of cours.e every one can be sexist. its just not polittically correct to accuse girls of being sexist.
In my opinion though, humans should all die and go away b/c they are wrecking the enviorment and KILLING CETACEANS! DIE WHALERS DIE, DIE, DIE!!
i love being an alien. it releases one from so much guilt.
Really Zyviva? Because my impression is that to you, if girls think they are better they are femininests, and if boys think they are better they are sexist.
i did not swear
I found this t-shirt that said, “Feminism: The RADICAL notion that women are PEOPLE.”
girls are so not fun
ignore my brother. i almost fell sorry 4 him
he has 2 set the table 4 a month, cuz he wasnt here for a month. hes off doing it over again cuz he really screwed it up and my aunt is telling him to do it again. my mom should be haome tuesday. she got to eat jellow and sherbert today- the first food since the 18
118- all humans ar insane wacko maniacs on a mission to commit suicide and bring down as many other species as possable when the go.
You can deny it, but we are living in a partiarchy.
I’m NOT in denial! I’m NOT!!!!!
107- fine take it we get like 2 cents for every dollar. 2 cents. How much do you get from cookies? more than 2 measly percent? I thought so
127- Technecly, SM is right at least untill 2008 Bush is walking in his father’s footsteps. even if he misses sometimes. Queenie, you scare me.
Queenie just pwns you. This can be a frightening experience, but with proper diet and excercise, you can lose up to thirty pounds in three months.
Survey time! Yay!
I want to become Prez…But not the FIRST female prez. I want there to be a female prez BEFORE I’m old enough/qualified enough to run.
And no, I am not jealous.I am currently taking and acing Algebra 1 in 8th grade.
I was reading 4th grade books at 4.
aaaaaahhhhhhh! so many posts! such long posts! aaaaaahhhhhh!!!!!!!¡¡¡¡¡¡!!!!!!!
Having many posts is FUN!
We are all just too smart for our own good. Okay, guys. The pressure’s on. We all have to grow up and get really froody sucessful jobs.
Like being president. teehee.
When I was in the first grade, my reading level was estimated at the college level.
We’ll band together and rule the world. In peace, of course. Except for the occasional pie war.
142-me to!
CHECK OUT WHAT THE BOYS ARE SAYING ON THIER THREAD,
citing creation stories, pointing out words like feMALE and woMAN, and stating girls arent huMAN. GRRRRRRRR…
is Kokopelli #13 a gut cuz if he is, he had better stay off this thread unless he wants to be pied by me. there is a boy power thread
Not stating that girls aren’t human! It was just the root of the word!!!! Which was formed so long ago that the influence still exists, but there’s really no point in changing it! Lots of roots are weird like that. I guess I’m not that good at being objective…
To me, there is nothing. Equal is just a word, in the same way that unequal is just a word. Humans are unable toc ope without clear definitions of all things, with out barriers and borders, and thus have made words and rules.
-mystical backlighting and fog machine-
Yeah, but whatever. If you know something in your mond, it will be.
GO FEMENISM!!!!!!!!!!
girls bother me sometimes though, because they act like guys can just push them around, and some talk to much about there boyfriends.
135- I totaly agree with you that everybody recignises a superior being but call it different names.
#142 & #144 – ME TOO!!!!!!
148- Agreed. As my history teacher says, “Perception is more important than reality.” Deep, eh? It’s all relative….
148-Dream on.
150-Like “It Doesn’t Exist” and “God”? “The Universe”? Have I made my point yet?
In our small little not too big little
*gets pied*
SM/M (152),
Hm. What does your science teacher say about that?
Mutt was barely reading english when she was six. by the time she was seven, she had started sixth grade english reading. by the time she was ten, she had read seabiscuit three times and had started a love of stealing moms books. =D
153- i dont get it?
I think I ‘m one og those odd people who has trippy thoughts without being high. Yes. Also known as authors.
Anyway. I have nothing to contribute here. -shrug-
155- I’ll have to ask her. She mostly yells at the idiots for creating or destroying matter in their equasions. Quite funny, really. She’s cool.
153- You completely rock. But you already knew that.
This seems like a very popular thread at the moment, so I’d like to post an announcement on it.
There is a possible chance that Ellen Degeneres and Oprah Winfrey may be posting on the ‘Muse Movie?’ thread in not to long. Keep your eyes peeled
I know I am.
I am a girl just in case anyone is wondering.
Oprah is too busy to post in a stupid kiddie thread: Ellen just won’t care.
334-how modest….
HY,164- 334?
urgh. were singing Diamonds are a Girls Best Friend for the next choral concert.
woman being stereotyped as ditzes who like nothing better than partying + wearing lots of big sparkly gemstones. that really bothers me
For your all knowing information #163, I happen to know that Oprah is a wonderfully nice woman, and that Ellen has a section on her website about making people’s craziest dreams come true.
So bite me.
I’m sorry I don’t mean to sound rude, but this is our second disagreemeant today.
166- I almost never wear jewelry. If I do, it’s either a watch or a pin or my glasses. Which don’t actually count…
my friends always give me jewelery-every single birthday-even though ive worn no jewelery in the last 2 yrs, save my post earrings, toe ring, and pentagram. i hav basically an entire jewelery store in my room; all of its collecting dust.
169- My friends and relatives do that, too. I like making bracelets and chokers, but I never wear them, so I have quite a few gathering dust on my desk…
Pink Penguin etc. etc!
I don’t really care for the ‘Boy Power’ thread. There’s already enough boy power. Us guys have been ruling the majority of the world for the majority of time. We don’t need more boy power. What we need is a good smackaroo in the mental a-s-s.
Shame.
No one’s posted anything on bonobos. Are you girls, or cleverly disguised boys?
And where are you fellow SVU lover. I’m waiting to hear back from you.
Question: Did you see the Pilot Episode? That might have been the greatest TV Pilot I’ve ever seen.
SVU is cool. As are all L&O shows. But the older episodes are always better.
Olivia is cool because we have the same name :).
Didn’t see the pilot episode, sorry.
Girls rule and that’s that!!! sorry i haven’t been on for a while
I prefer boys so long as they have a syndrome or disorder. Otherwiose, both genders suck.
im am so cool. so im really mad about the fact that every time after BYU posts, so ive been going out and finding dirt clumps and putting them in his bed. hes convinced its the dog.
You realise you just posted that, Pink Peinguin?
20 more comments than ‘boy power’. i always knew we talking too much.
176/177- Yeah, he will probably read it.
oh phew i didn’t see this thread at first….
yay girls! guys r cool too… sometimes.
177/179- he isnt supposed to go on still. my parents were both out thaough yesterday, but bannaya saw him, and told my parents. he’s now grounded for another 2 weeks. yay
we rock duuude.
That’s cool you and Olivia have the same first name, or is it the same last name, # 173.
I really recomend you gals write a little piece on bonobos here.
I don’t know of any books on bonobos by a woman, so you gals should do it here.
You want girl power?
You want bonobos.
184- First.
185- I’ll have to get started on that…
girls are cool
witchy with a b, sometimes, but ulitmately cooler thn boys B)
duuuuuuuuuuude.
when i grow up, im going to be a famous college professor/magazine editor/author/fashion designer/interior designer/book review person!!!
yay!
Hey!!!!!
any boys out there???
if so, let it be known that when we spend all that time in front of the mirror, we are REALLY planning on taking over the world.
mostly harmless, right,?
Yes. All mirrors are secret computers which only girls can use. HA.
And lipstick is a secret communication device.
THANK YOU COMMODORE!
That’s so cool. You have the same first name as the strongest woman on telivision, and you’re finally going to give us something on bonobos, by a gal.
Go gal.
