((0 – Yes we do .))
((It’s a tie between B and C. Which? I prefer B, but I wouldn’t mind C. If we did A, then people who joined more recently can’t RP))
When I was little, we called potato chips “air” because that’s about how much they fill you up.
hmm good tasting air
((What goes on here??))
((WE FIGHT THE BUNNIES))
((How do we do that??))
((THROUGH RPGING!!))
((Do we have to make up names for ourselves and do stuff like that??))
((If you want. I didn’t, but you could, if you wanted to.))
((2 – Meh, I think B is just ripping off Star Wars/Trek too much.))
((I’m not gonna vote for C, but I will do it. It just seems like:
YAY! WE KILLED THE BUNNIES!
I’m still here.
Drat. *is killed*
Actually… I had a great idea for my character… I’ll tell you later…))
((The point is that Padme thinks that Slythix is a jerk, and he won’t do a thing to change that. I wonder just how many ways Padme will think of to get me to stop talking.))
((I’m for plan a or plan c, since plan b will just drag the story on endlessly with the same characters doing the same things e.t.c… But if we have a next generation, sure. If, then let’s do BA:TRF between the wars. Syara already existed then, so she could start fighting (against) the resistance. Then I won’t have a good character though… *thinks*))
((These threads ARE like potato chips. You can never eat just one.))
((I’m new to BA:TNG, but I’m for Plan C. But how about we don’t randomly find some bunnies, they find us? MWAHAHA!))
((399 on the last thread- Er, like William II, perhaps? Or yet another boy?))
((5.1-We need more plot twists, for sure, but can we have plot twists which center on the bunnies, instead of killing the whole idea of BA?))
((6- But if he likes her, why does he want her to hate him? Or does he not want to like her or something?))
((8- Welcome! Uh…have you actually RPed anything yet, or are you just kind of here?))
((It won’t center around the bunnies OR the Resistance. I’ll need to wait 2 battle scenes for it, though.))
((Neh, I was talking about the mini-SSSS.))
((IDEA: what if, at the end of the final epic battle, someone kills Xeer. The HPBs then split up into rival fractions; nicegoodius, Lillis supporters, Syara supporters, Serafina supporters and just-kill-all-those-humans supporters (each fraction is trying to get rid of the others). This allows the HPBs to be vanquished and driven away.))
((9: No, he likes her, doesn’t care, and likes annoying people.))
((He likes her and doesn’t care? Wow, Slythix is stronger-willed than I thought.))
((Oohoohooh, I have an idea for BA:TRF! We need a variation from the basic evil overlord villain theme, what if the next commander in line after Xeer is female? ♀ That would be pwnsome…
I know that doesn’t really hep with the big picture, it was just an idea I had. Anyway.))
((Okay, everybody, since this really is not the end of BA:TNG, how about if we just continue with the story, and see which option looks best at the final battle? Because this discussion is not really getting us anywhere at this point. We should just keep it in mind as we continue RPing.))
((10-YES. I think the Serafina supporters would be a lot of black bunnies, some HPBs, and a few Aero and Dragonbunnies. Let’s DO that!
…Can, like, three people stab/shoot/kill Xeer at the same time, though?))
((10 -That sounds a lot like muslim fanatics…))
((13 – Memories of Julius Caesar last year…))
((The tally is currently 5 votes for plan C and 3 votes for plan B.))
LILIS
“No, Serafina is not going on your mission,” said Xeer, seemingly reading my thoughts. “But she is going to come with you because she has a seperate mission of her own in the new Resistance base… if we can locate it. They’ve disappeared pretty well.” I laughed.
“They haven’t disappeared Xeer – they’re just in one of their other lairs. By the First Dynasty Upheaval, the Resistance had many hideouts dotted throught the globe. Most of them were taken over by bunnies – so I’m sure you still have an old list somewhere.” I theatrically pulled a worn piece of paper out of my bag.
“Let’s see… all of the ones checkmarked in hot pink were taken over. That leaves only four – the Trench Base, the hideout under Groundhog’s house, the base in the Yukon, and the hideout in Forks, Washington. The Trench base and Groundhog’s little hideout have been found out – we chased them out of both. So that leaves these two…” I pointed at the two on the list with my fingers, my other hand rummaging around for a map. I located it and laid it on the table.
“Lets see… Forks is here and Yukon is here.” I marked the two spots on the map with black sticker dots.”
“The Resistance had last been in California,” said Syara, pointing out the spot. I marked that too.
“Now if you were a fleeing Resistance, where would you go – Forks or Yukon?” asked Serafina, a smirk curling on her lips.
“Most likely to the Yukon – it’s very well hidden, it’s usually snowbound – though not right now – and it’s far away from California,” said Syara, ticking off the reasons on her fingers.
“Now the only thing left to do is locate the base – Yukon is a big place,” said Xeer.
“Well, we know that they landed in Whitehorse Airport, Yukon. If we look at their security cameras, we can see how they went from there – they probably stole a van or two to get out of there.” Xeer stood up.
“Yes, well as soon as you work out roughly where they are, I want you three to get going – tonight.”
PADME
I felt someone watching me. I turned my head ever so slightly and noticed a boy with messy reddish brown hair looking at me, his bright green eyes curious. I knew immediately who he was.
“I’ll see you later, Mom – I’m going to get some food.” I walked away and grabbed a tray, getting on line right behind my cousin. He turned around to look at me.
“You’re Padme, aren’t you?” he asked, still looking at me hard.
“Yes – you’re Rik, right?” He nodded.
“Yup – all hail the mightly Rik, who took on a group of bunnies single-handedly!” He grinned. I rolled my eyes – the kid was a bit full of himself.
((What is my group doing now?))
Philomena:
I got on line right behind Padme for lunch, but couldn’t help breaking out in laughter at the new kid-Rik-‘s sentence. Sounded like something Crystl would say. Where was she, anyway?
I heard hysterical laughter, followed by a thump, from ahead of me in the line.
…Well, that answered my question.
SERAFINA:
I nodded to Xeer, pulling out a capsule from my ponytail holder. Flicking it open, I pressed the button, and was rewarded with three holographic pictures.
“Bingo,” I smirked. “I got these three mini cameras I planted on two of the brats and that AvalonGirl a few days ago, the day before I left the Resistance. They’ve also got little GPSes implanted in them, as you can see, so I could know where they were at all times!”
I uncapped another capsule from my holder and pressed the button, transforming all three holograms into grids. The grids were marked with dots, but readily showed the exact coordinates of the three people inside the Yukon.
“Got it? I need to put these away, because otherwise they’ll becomes useless-they’ve got recharging periods.”
((Uggh… can we please stop having “oh-noes, bunnies-discovered-our-location-so-we-need-to-move” situations?))
((17-Hopefully, she’ll be unbunnified/hypnotized by someone scouting around and finding her, so that way the bunnies don’t know…but I still wanna poison stuff and poison someone.))
((Well… there’s still the possibility that Xeer memorized the coordinates, or that he steals the capsules and their rechargers.))
Kittymine raised her eyebrows and said with a smile, “Is that all you two were doing out there?”
I could see where she was taking this and said quickly, “Oh no, we weren’t- it wasn’t anything like- no.”
She continued to smile, as if she were still sure of her theory, but seemed satisfied for now. Padme said, “I’ll see you later, Mom – I’m going to get some food.
((17 – Well, how do you expect them to be able to kidnap someone – just stumble upon us randomly? Though I think it would be possible for the bunnies to lose that piece of information… ))
LILIS
“Well, that’s settled then,” I said, after copying the coordinates. We’ll leave ASAP – It’s a long way from here, even with the supersonic jet boost.”
> > >
It was half an hour since we had had the meeting and we – Syara, Serafina, and I – were in my jet black stealth pod, now equipped with the supersonic jet booster. Okay, so it could only do five minutes at a time before it had to recharge, but it was definitely a start.
“We should arrive at the new Resistance hide at approximately 2:30 a.m.” calculated Syara.
PADME
After waiting a few minutes, Rik and I both received trays with lasagna, salad, a piece of fruit, a glass of milk, and oreos. If that tray didn’t spell delicious, I don’t know what does.
Rik joined Selena, Zena, Kaye, Zavier, Daisy, William, and me at a table. Much to my chagrin, Slythix joined us a moment later.
Dinner was mostly uneventful – it was nice to just laugh and joke like normal people.
((20 – See, that’s the other thing. Weren’t we originally planning to kidnap a non-Resistance family member of a Resistance member?))
((Yeah, we were. Actually, we were planning to kidnap multiple non-Resistance relatives of Resisters. That is, the bunnies were planning to kidnap multiple non-Resistance family members of Resisters.))
((21 and 21.1 – Guess what hit me last night in bed? *headdesks* So I suppose we should ignore the whole “the-bunnies-figure-out-where-we-are-posts” and start over.
ATTENTION!!! Please ignore the parts of posts 14, 16, and 20 that contain evil people/Xeer. As of now, the bunnies do not know where our base is, nor do that have a list of the bases!))
((Groundhog and I are going on vacation this week so we will probably not be able to post. If we could be PPed, that’d be great. Thanks! ))
I got in line for dinner and soon got a tray with lasagna, salad, a piece of fruit, a glass of milk, and oreos (D-e-l-i-c-i-o-u-s with a capital D), and sat down at a table with Selena, Kaye, Zavier, Daisy, Padme, and the new kid Rik. Slythix also sat down a moment later.
We were just talking and laughing when I got an idea. “Here’s a joke I once read-” I said, “What’s the last thing to go through a bunny’s head when he crashes his ship into a tree?”
” ‘I shouldn’t have crashed’?” Kaye suggested. I shook my head “no”.
” ‘There goes my pay raise’.” Selena said. I said, “No – his afterburner.”
Everybody burst out laughing. It felt good – after years of life under my Big Brother-father and brother, after days of non-stop fighting… it felt good to be like ordinary kids, at least for a while.
((Ahem. Where is my group at the moment?))
((19-It was stated somewhere that bunnies can’t read, wasn’t it?))
PHILOMENA:
As I carried my tray filled with various delicious things, such as an iced mocha coffee, to a table, I overheard William’s little joke. I thought it was pretty funny, but didn’t laugh-the problem was, Crystl…
Well, from behind me, I heard hysterical laughter, followed by a thump. Obviously, Crystl needed to work on her laugh reflex.
SERAFINA:
((22-Gotcha! I’ll try and make something up to fix that.))
I slammed my hand onto the arm of my chair. “Cake it all!” I swore. “How are we supposed to find that stupid base when none of us have a single clue where the heck this base could be?”
Everyone just stared at me.
“Serafina,” said Lilis coldly, “if anyone knew where the base was, it would be you. You were with the Resistance the shortest amount of time ago, didn’t they ever tell you where their next base would be?”
“NO,” I hissed in barely contained fury, “and that just proves they’re filth that needs to be exterminated!”
((Wow, I have to admit…Serafina really is evil, cruel, and scary. -scary expression- And to think she was a good character…))
((That’s ridiculous. If bunnies can’t read, then how do they read: maps? plans? messages?))
((24 – Everyone’s in the cafeteria.))
((Thanks.))
I headed over to get some food in the cafeteria. It was not the best food in the world, but it was ok. I sat down with Callista, and asked her how best to get ready for the next battle.
((Verbal instructions. Bunnies’ brains aren’t exactly like ours — better at some things, worse at others.))
((Cake, cake, cake, CAKE… I haven’t been on here in a very, very long time. Please tell me what’s happening…))
((Ask Kittymine. I’m as confused as you.))
((I know one group is in the cafeteria, and we’re eating… food. The other group is searching for us))
((Unfortunately, Kittymine just left on vacation, and I can’t find your last post so I know where to start. Sorry D: !))
((My last post was… um… a really long time ago. Like over a month ago.))
((Yeah, I probably can’t help you, since my dad doesn’t like me “goofing around” on the web and he kicks me off if he catches me .))
((Oh, she did? I missed that… Gaah.))
((Nilly, you’re in the cafeteria now, talking with the other adults about the bunnies’ plan to get to the center of the earth and take over the world from there. (I swear, that was not my idea!) I know that’s not really a summary, but it should help. Hopefully.))
((Thanks, Armada.))
KOKONILLY:
“Woah, woah, woah. Get to the center of the earth and take over from there?? That does not seem like a bunny-type thing to do. I always thought they were less… you know…” I searched for the word. “Cartoonish.”
((And let’s say my other characters are off doing… something. At this stage it’s hard to recover four characters, let alone one, so I won’t even try. I may revive them. I may not.))
((see 393 on the last thread to see our plans for this thread/the next thread.))
ARMADA:
“It’s true, it does seem a kind of….bizarre thing for them to do. But it seems to be true,” I answered Kokonilly.
“Where did you hear it from?” Nilly asked, frowning. “I mean, it really doesn’t seem that plausible…”
((Uh…It was from William II, right? I can’t remember…. Does Nilly even know about William’s status with the Resistance?))
((Um, I think she does. I’m not sure. Oh, well. It doesn’t matter. ))
Philomena:
After helping Crystl up, I was about to sit down at a table to mess with my weapons, when I heard a snatch of conversation from the adults.
“Woah, woah, woah. Get to the center of the earth and take over from there?? That does not seem like a bunny-type thing to do. I always thought they were less…” and at this point, a loud laugh came from William, obscuring the conversation.
Without a word, I sat down, listening intently to the adults’ conversation. I just wanted to hear what they were talking about, whatever it led to for me…
MIZORE (AvalonGirl’s real name):
“Yeah,” I sighed, “but it seems to be true, and we’ve got no way to find out if it’s false. In short, the bunnies have got us in a headlock: we can’t just send people to find out if it’s true, because if it is they might not make it back. And we can’t just think it’s true and rush blindly in, because it might be a trap!”
((I wanted to add something about our plans for TRF: if we do plan C (we discover that some bunnies did not die in the final battle/thing), we shouldn’t devote it exclusively to the bunnies. I still say we should have other sci-fi related adventures – i.e, aliens from another planet invading, events from alternate realities breaking into our own, stuff like that.))
((YES. I <3 alternate realities. WE SHOULD DO THAT. How many battles will there be before the final battle? (I’m thinking at least 2) I need 2 for my complicated plot idea.))
((Two is fine. We probly shouldn’t wait till the fall to have another battle, since it’s not going to be the final one or anything.))
((You know what? It seems like there’s a real demand for a non-BA sci-fi RPG. I vote we start one, instead of turning BA into it. Suggestion box, anyone?))
((Yes, you’re right.))
Woah! Someone is ruining their AE! I wonder who it could be?
((OOOOOH, YES, that’s a much better idea! *heads off to the suggestion box*))
((That sounds like a good idea.))
Come to the suggestion box to 4th that idea!
((It’s suddenly very empty here…))
((Nah, the blog just runs slower in the summer. Plus everyone just flocked to the Sci-Fi RPG thread.
I was thinking about our plan for this thread, and I think it would be a better story if the bunnies kidnapped a Resistance member instead of a non-Resistance family member of a Resistance member. I mean, I get slightly confused just saying that.))
((My take on future plots:
My favorite idea is the one where there are still pockets of bunnies left because they were off on missions. Ooh! Ooh! What if they weren’t at the unveiling because they never liked Xeer, but were allowing him to lead while they eliminated the greater threat of humans, and then they were going to put their treacherous plots into play. Then, once Xeer and the greater portion of the bunnies were killed, they lay low for a while.
Or… What if Xeer, at some point, sent off a spaceship, full of bunny scientists and hybrid bunnies/experimental breeds, to keep it safe, and once we surrendered, he sent them a message to come back, and then a while after the unveiling party, they arrive, find the bunny legions in tatters, and launch an attack. This leads into ‘Bunny Apocalypse: Experimental Chaos’, or something of that sort.
I dislike the ideas of either between BA and BA:TNG, or before BA, since although before BA works well for me, between would mean a completely new character, and then I’d have to kill her off to explain her absence in BA:TNG, or find some other good reason she’s not here, and bleh. Also, merely because before BA is okay for me, doesn’t mean it works for other people. They would have to create new characters, and of course explain their absence. I think that just would confuse people, and should be avoided. (Since, after all, we stand for clarity and precision here at Museblog.)))
((Okay, sorry to double post, but I just read through the rest of the thread, and now have a good idea what’s going on. I should be home in two days or so, so my exile is almost over! Anyway…))
Errata:
It felt so good to be back, discussing what the bunnies were planning to do to kill us, laughing at bad jokes, and all worrying about tomorrow, privately. I’d worried for thirteen years on my own, and worrying with people was so much better. Even better was the fact that everyone remembered me, with the exception of those who had joined more recently, and a few who hadn’t been in contact with this base. My base.
Callista:
I went to sit down with the other kids, glancing over at Mom again. It seemed so incredible that I’d found her, even more incredible that she was alive. I apparently sat down right in the middle of a joke, because as I sat down, they all burst out laughing. I laughed with them, having heard the end of the joke, and knowing the rest. Different version, but same joke. I had never had much time with other kids, courtesy of Enceladus. Then, as if the thought had summoned him, he sat down beside me, knowing full well I hated him, and asked me what to do to prepare for the next battle. I stared at him for a minute, decided he actually wanted an answer, and replied, “I don’t know. Train? I’ve never really been in full scale battles before.”
((Oh, Kokonilly, by the way, Rachel and Sophia were, at last count, in the training room, training, (GASP!) since I actually remembered to PP you at one point. Otherwise: I don’t know what you need to know. We evacuated both Underground Slash, and the one under Groundhog’s house, and are now in Canada. The Yukon, to be specific, debating out of character what we’re doing in the next BA, and finally getting back into character. Hope that helps!))
((OKAY, I have returned after getting stuck on 95 North for about an hour (bleh). Anyhoo… SUMMARY!
Summary:
First, see post 393 of part 5 for a summary of the plans for the next thread. [note to self – update that list]
Secondly, see post 334 of part 5 for last summary
As of post 334:
> Padme found out that Rik is her cousin, goes to talk to William about it, he gets offended and then goes outside. Padme follows a few minutes later.
> Errata shows up, having been presumed dead, and is reunited with her daughter Callista.
> Mizore (Avalongirl), Mena, and Crystl show up without Serafina who has been hypnobunnified and now works for the bunnies.
> Slythix shows up and encounters Padme (who is up a tree apologizing to William). Padme escorts him to the elevator.
> Jenny tells everyone that dinner is ready.
> As of right now, everyone is in the cafeteria – the adults are discussing Operation Iblis (for a description of that see post 265 of part 5) and the kids are telling jokes and acting generally like kids. Lilis, Syara, Serafina, and Xeer are in a meeting trying to figure out who to kidnap.
((SFTDP!
38 – Then you’re saying that we should have the bunnies know where we are? AHHHH! *runs in circles pulling at hair* So now we aren’t ignoring those posts? *runs in a few more circles* We have got to make up our minds here.))
((Well, we could PP some former Resister….I still like the non-Resistance family member idea better, though.))
((BTW, since you were gone, you probably didn’t notice…
we have a NON-BA SCI-FI RPG! Yayz!))
((I’m just suggesting it! Not a full decision or anything yet.))
((Okay, so they don’t discover where we are, say we, (in real life) get bored, so we, (in the game) conduct a raid, during which the bunnies decide that a resistance member could work better than a non-resistance member. They capture a few of us, the rest of which escape, and the rest of the plan proceeds. We need at least two battles anyway, for Enceladus, so that can be one or the other. Wait… Two battles, at… say a month a piece… Should we start one of the battles soon, if not now?
Not much has happened… Well, that’s summer for ya.))
((Hmmm… I’m confused, but OK.))
((42.2 – I noticed. I should probably look and see what that’s all about *goes to thread*))
((*comes back* Gleep! I don’t know if I’ll be able to keep up with that one and BA:TNG…. ))
((41 – Can they kidnap my husband? Pleeeease?
Sorry I’ve been gone, by the way…))
((We’re still working on our actual plan… Errata came up with an idea (post 44).))
((47- I have the strange feeling they’ll kidnap several people, in the resistance and out. About two people will decide being kidnaped would be fun, and get kidnaped. Another two will be going out of town, and their characters will get kidnaped. Everyone else will come forth with a friend/relative and have them get kidnaped. Oh, by the way, after Callista decided not to ask Padme about what to do next, she went back and waited waited for her to remember, practicing with the robot until then.))
((49 – OK, now that’s just ridiculous. I think the bunnies should kidnap just two or three people and leave it at that, not half the people with any relation to the Resistance. It should probably be:
A) Someone in the Resistance
B) A non-Resistance family member of a Resistance member
C) Both A and B
Ooooooh, brain wave brain wave brain wave!! Kittymine, Padme’s father is presumably dead or hypnobunnified, right? Well, what if it turns out that he IS alive and not hypnobunnified, and the bunnies capture him to use as a bargaining chip, and Padme tries to rescue him on her own but gets captured as well, and then… we do something from there.
What do you think?))
((B, though I’ll go with C if we have to.
Ask Kittymine. It’s probably not fair to kidnap her without her consent.))
((I was kind of asking her…. see, it’s a little hard sometimes for me to ask a question directly, so I post my idea/thought and infer it as a question.))
((Well, yes. I just didn’t know if she was around. Question–You were thinking of Padme in particular because…. ))
((*shrug* *sees the smiley* Oh, shut up.))
((
))
((For a second, I thought those were different smileys alternating. I must be losing it…
and I did have a different reason than the one you’re thinking of (:P) but I don’t remember it right now.))
((Mm-hmm. ))
((I think it works if Padme’s father is alive since he would have had ample time to escape when the bunnies fell. But if we do that, he’ll have to die in the end because otherwise we’d have adoption problems…))
((Man am I tired! Running after kids all day is HARD!))
((True, true. Well, what do you think of my idea in general?
And why in the world were you running after kids all day??))
((51.1 – I work at a day camp. And I think your idea is a good one.))
PADME
We finished dinner at about 7:30. This left a little while for us to continue training. I cleared the garbage off my tray, dumped it into the incinerator bin, and laid my tray on the pile on the counter. I waited a few minutes for everyone else (meaning the people at my table) to finish clearing up before leaving. William zoomed off to work on his generator while the rest of us went to the training rooms.
KITTYMINE
We had all pretty-much finished eating, but we lingered, talking (as usual) about What To Do Next.
((Clarification – are we or are we not having the bunnies find out where we are hiding? I suppose this depends on what plan we are doing…))
((52 – I have no idea.
Small question: I know that the bunnies destroyed much of the wildlife in the world, but before/during the original BA/BA:TNG, was there any mass extinction of the human race or anything?))
((I don’t think so. There may have been a few massacres at the beginning, but mostly the bunnies are leaving humans alone as long as they keep their heads down. Why do you ask?))
((Oh, no reason. *whistles innocently*))
((*backs slowly away* “Hey, Groundhog, do we have any spare depigmentizer darts? Oh, no reason.” *whistles innocently*))
((It’s just, it would make sense for the bunnies to do that, but when everyone’s back story involved everyone alive and well, it confused me.))
((No, I know. Definitely. It is extremely weird than during the entire six threads of BA, only one person died, and that was after the battle was technically over. I mean, it’s not weird from the RPG perspective, but it is weird from the story perspective. But like I said, there were probably a few minor-ish things before BA started.))
((Um, not to sound pushy or anything, but could we come to a decision about the kidnapping business so that we can move along a bit?
The Plans:
A) Someone in the Resistance
B) A non-Resistance family member of a Resistance member
C) Both A and B
D) Padme’s father is alive and not hypnobunnified, and the bunnies capture him to use as a bargaining chip, and Padme tries to rescue him on her own but gets captured as well.
I vote for either plan C or plan D. ))
((B, I guess, but C or D is fine too.))
((I vote for either C or D.))
(( I vote for D. B is basically the same thing.))
((No, it could be anyone. But D is an extension of B, yes.))
(( I vote C or D. ))
((A or D. That leaves me with, shall we say, more options. Chuckle chuckle chuckle.))
((Electros has an idea! Quickly, tranquilize him!))
(( *tranquilizer gun* Slythix has an attitude very similar to the bunnies, actually.))
((Any of them are fine. My favorite is B, with my least favorite being D, but I think, really, Kittymine gets to decide whether we take that route, regardless of how many votes it gets. It would open up some potential bonding time with her ‘dead’ father, which would be really interesting.
Can we conduct a raid or something, please? Oh! Maybe the adults could take us out to learn how to fly Arwings, and once the kids have it under control, they drop off the parents, fly around a bit, and one of them jokingly suggests, “Let’s go attack the bunnies!”, everyone else agrees, and they fly off, leaving the parents to deal with it, the parents conveniently not noticing they’re gone until they actually get there. That would be fun.
((Well… I like the idea of a raid… but if the kids go without any adults, likely they’ll all get captured because they won’t know what to do, and I just don’t like the idea of more than 2 or 3 people getting captured at once.))
((Nononono. The parents notice they’re gone and get there in time to keep them from being captured. It was just an idea though. Where is everyone anyway? Off being summery, I guess.))
((Ooooooh. That might be a good idea.
And speaking of being summery, I just remembered… I’m going to be leaving for a three-week camp next Saturday… probably with no computer access or anything unless I need it for a project ))
((56 – Well, I’d rather get other people’s input before going off on something that involves my characters a lot. I don’t want to be piggy or anything like that. As for your idea, I think it’s good.))
((Gotta go – post later))
((Hookay, glad I haven’t missed anything.
I like the idea of the kids doing a raid. They don’t have to all get captured though–they do theoretically have main character “protection”, otherwise known as Blue Shirts.))
((Okay, as of now:
Plan A – 1
Plan B – 1
Plan C – 3
Plan D – 5
Raid – 2
Plan D has the most votes; however, I do think that the raid idea is a really good one. I mean, the whole point of BA:TNG is that it is the next generation. And I think I could fit in plan D into the Raid Idea if nobody minds. Of course, by doing the raid we are changing our original plan for the end of this thread but that really doesn’t matter. We tend to change our minds a lot around here (for a refresher of our original plan, see post 393 of part 5, first section, parts A and B). ))
((Is this thing really still going on? Someone please fill me in, I obviously have no idea what’s happening.))
((60 – Yes it is.
Summary:
a) see post 41 for last summary
b) as of post 41, the kids have finished eating and are off in the training rooms. William is still working on his generator. The question that we have been debating for some time now (out of character) is What To Do Next.
As of post 393 or Part 5, our plan was to have the bunnies kidnap someone so that they could get the Key that Zena is currently wearing. This Key (silver, found way back when in the forest near the Malarky) opens the the Center of the Earth. The bunnies’ claim is that they will take this key and then live peacefully in the Center of the Earth. Yeah Right. So we obviously would not hand over the key. This would cause a battle where we try to rescue the kidnapped while Syara, Lilis, and Serafina hunt around for the Key.
A discussion came about over who should be kidnapped. See post 54 for the Kidnapping Ideas, post 56 for the Raid Idea, and post 59 for the Current Tally of Votes.
I think that’s about it. If anyone has anything else to add, please do.))
((Kitty, you are a lifesaver. I’ll try to find a way to jump back in ASAP))
((60- What’da you mean, BA end? It’s eternal!
Of course, it’s slightly dead right now. But only slightly. Could we agree on how we’ll do the raid, and start? I think we should sneak out in some Arwings, and try to conduct a raid without parents. That’s just me though. We could also all (all being our characters) agree to do a raid.))
((62 – YesYesYesYesYesYesYes!!!! ))
KITTYMINE
While we were all speculating, Errata piped up randomly.
“Say, do the kids know how to fly Arwings?”
I turned to look at her, my face hurt.
“Hey, what are you playing at? You’re going to steal my title as Queen of Randomness!” We all laughed.
“So are you going to answer my question?” We looked at each other.
“I doubt it,” I said. “I mean, the only one who definitely can is William, and perhaps a few could figure it out, but they should really be taught. I mean, it would be pretty pathetic if we were attacked and the kids couldn’t get away on their own.”
((All right, I’m bringing my characters back into this, if no one minds. I’m just going to pretend Charlie was at the table with the others all along, and RP the clearing up and walking to training.))
((About the raid–I think we should be training, but we get bored, so someone gets the idea to grab some Arwings and sneak out, just for fun. While we’re out, someone gets the idea of a raid.))
((Oh, and what follows isn’t PP. Armada told me I could. So there. ))
CHARLIE:
After I finished eating, I dumped my tray into the incinerator and stood around for a little while. I still didn’t know many people very well, and I wanted to talk to someone.
Slythix and Kaye were the last two people to finish. Kaye seemed to be a little spaced out–she’d bumped into me before, when we’d both gotten up to get something, and when Slythix started to walk away from the incinerator she bumped into him too. Her reaction was… odd, though.
“Oh! Sorry…” she mumbled, her face turning red.
((Armada – ThankyouThankyouThankyouThankyouThankyou!!!!!! If, indeed, I am interpreting this correctly ))
((Yes, you are. I think…. Anyway, Slythix may not care. We’ll see. And maybe you can try to make him care. (As in, “Slythix, bug off and go bother Kaye instead! ) ))
((Any specific reason you’re so excited about this?
And it was partly my idea… ))
((It was actually all your idea. Electros cannot blame me for this.))
((Nuh, uh! You SAID you had the same idea, remember?))
((Interesting. Another piece of the puzzle. This makes this odd subplot much more…interesting.))
((Ooh, how interesting. Another factor in this complex puzzle. Hmm… what shall I do now. It probably has to be somewhat evil, as well as annoying BOTH of you…))
((Yes. So now Rik (possibly) likes Kaye, Kaye likes Slythix, Slythix likes Padme, and Padme likes William, who likes her too… *brain implodes*
By the way, I’m probably going to have Kaye realize at the end what a jerk Slythix is and fall for Rik instead, if you’re only going to annoy her.))
((*sigh* Any other ideas, RQ? This one apparently didn’t work so well…))
((Wait, so the kids are going to sneak out in the Arwings? How would that work if only William can fly one (As Kitty said)? I mean, I think they should, but would they just learn as they go? Just asking.))
((I don’t think we’re exactly going to sneak out right away. Here was Errata’s idea: the adults teach the kids to fly Arwings, then the kids drop them off (I assume the adults would consent with that, so the kids could have some time to practice), and while we are flying around, one of us jokingly suggests a raid, then everyone else agrees, so we all fly off to the DoH. And the adults don’t notice we’re gone until we’re about halfway to the DoH or so.))
Just stares from astonishment, you guys should publish this into a book, really.
keep going.
((Errata is editing this, though I’m not sure if it’s really publishable–if you can find a publisher which accepts stories written by teenagers about evil hot pink bunnies, we will be your slaves forever. I’m also editing the original BA, along with Groundhog.))
wait can i be a new character, ill be one of the kids who flies to arwings?
((64- Could you write a paragraph or two about how you found the base, etc.? What happened to Charlie’s mom? Julianne, wasn’t it? Is she still hypnobunnified? See, I’m editing BATANG, and if you just randomly appear, it destroys the continuity.
68- First, learn some proper grammar. I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again, It’s hard to remember you’re actually a mature, valuable MuseBlogger when you type like that. Then, you can’t just appear. Or at least, if you do, I post the same answer that I posted to 64, which is conveniently displayed above.))
Errata:
“Yeah.” I agreed. “It would be. And sorry for borrowing your title, it’s just that I always wanted to teach Callista, and now I can. When do we start?”
Kokonilly frowned. “We could probably start now. It’s almost dark, but learning under hard conditions makes flying under normal conditions easier, and the bunnies won’t see so well in the dark. Where are we going to get Arwings, though?”
I had my answer ready. “The Reserve Hangar. It has more than enough Arwings, and they’re still there. I checked earlier.” I had indeed run a quick check of the base’s security systems, armory, and several other things.
((Yeah, I think she is.
I was just kind of assuming that Charlie had been hiding out with the Resistance the whole time ever since he originally was found…))
((When was he found? Did you post that? Sorry, Over-Enthusiastic Editor at your service.))
((Yes, I did… I forget which thread it was on. I forget where, too, but I think it was after an escape from the DoH…))
((Okay. Just making sure. Sorry, again.))
((65.2 – the reason I’m so excited is that now I have a chance at ending this whole Fighting-Over-Padme mess…. *sees Slythix’s posts* Umm… make that no chance at all. *headdesks* ))
((68-69- Hello! I see you’ve come across this thread. As long as no one has any objections (which are rather rare, BTW) feel free to join. Though I will concur with what Errata said, and add that if you want to know exactly what is going on here, you can look at all of the summaries of this thread, starting from Part 1. Tip – in all of the summaries, I continue from where I left off in the summary before, stating that earlier summary’s post #.))
KITTYMINE
“Well, that’s settled then. I think they are all in the training rooms, with the possible exception of William who is probably working on his shield generator.”
((67.1- Alright, that’s what I was thinking, I just wasn’t sure.
Since it seems like I’ve been with the adults the whole time, I’ll just pick up from there.))
“So, we’re giving flying lessons? Awesome.” I said. “Shall we rally the troops?”
“Sure, I’ll go get the Arwings ready,” Errata said, and Kitty went off to see if William was working on his generator. Which meant I had to round up the kids… What fun!
Oh, well, I thought, Teaching kids to fly at night should be fun. Interesting, at least.
((I know this is kinda random, but I’d like to post as Lilis and it is kinda hard to do that when we’re at a standstill as to what they are planning. How about if we ignore posts 14, 16, and 20, and have the bunnies plan on kidnapping a relation of a resistance member. But before they can put that plan into action, we conduct our raid, disrupting their original plan but giving Xeer certain new… options ))
LILIS (this starts from where post 396 or part 5 leaves off )
“Actually, Seratfina will be helping you with your mission,” said Xeer, seemingly reading my thoughts. “You’re not going to the Resistance base – the only clue we have to where they are is that it is up north. Your job is to locate a relation of any resistance member and then kidnap him or her. Serafina will help you with the location step, but then you and Syara will do the kidnapping yourself. Get to work – it will probably be very difficult to track down these relation. Trust Groundhog to think up some sort of ingenious way of hiding relatives from harm.”
PADME
As I fought with a robot wielding a lightsaber, I thought about what I had seen of Rik’s personality. When we had first started training after dinner, he was cocky and full of himself, boastful of his abilities. Mind you, he was good with a slingshot and was catching on quickly to using other weapons, but I wasn’t sure how much I liked my cousin. He was also far to mischievous for my liking.
My thoughts were interrupted as TGYPWYA walked in.
Callista:
I had gone back to target practice, with a few other people. After a bit, I heard Padme’s lightsaber blade go off, and she started talking to someone. I turned around to see what was happening.
Errata:
I didn’t know exactly how many Arwings we’d need, so I’d start up all of them. I found the entrance to the Reserve Hangar, palmed it open, hoping as I did so that the computer hadn’t forgotten me – it tended to reprogram itself not to accept long-gone Resistors every few years – but it opened just fine. Wondering how fast they should be ready, I set the computer to start up the lift to move them to the main hangar, and to start them up as it did so. I hopped on the lift with the first few Arwings, my mood rising with the ascending lift. I was going to get to fly again. I was going to teach Callista, finally. I could have before, theoretically, but after all, Melissa Seldrant was afraid of flying things, so it would rouse suspicion.
((71: Oh, nothing. It’s just that I have another plan to do…something.))
((NOTICE KAYE! REACT TO HER! FOR GODS’ SAKE, RQ AND I DIDN’T SET THIS UP JUST SO YOU COULD TEASE HER!!!!))
((…There. Unsubtle enough for you? Both of you? ))
((Hey, the wasn’t necessary! When did you add that?))
((Oh, wait… un- That wasn’t supposed to be sarcastic. Or rather, it was only supposed to be sarcastic at RoseQuartz.))
*sticks tongue out at Armada*
((*sticks tongue out at RQ* Say what you like, it _was_ your idea. And if it doesn’t work, you have to come up with something else. SudoRandom doesn’t appear to be an option at the moment….))
((Heh. Hehe. You’re using Chat HTML…))
((Cake. ))
((HTML Gnome? The _s are supposed to be italic HTML….))
((That’s what comes of multitasking…))
((OK, I was rereading the old BA:TNG threads… my characters were, er, a little messed up… not to mention the story around them. I have no idea where Julianne is, but she’s no longer hypnobunnified. I think the last time I posted as her was when she was trying to figure out how to fly an Arwing… she might have been captured, I’m not sure. Ohwait, I think she’s at the base too. I’m confuzzled. I’m just going to pretend both of them were there all along…))
((Okay, just to try to relieve some of the confusion, I’ll repost redo my character descriptions and backstories.))
((Name: Julianne Ross
Age: 26
Physical Description: Long, straight, dirty blond hair; gray-blue eyes; tall (5’9” or so).
Personality: Just a bit ditzy… She’s gotten braver, though, since being rescued.
Skills: Although she’s still a bit of a klutz, she’s good with a blaster and not too bad with a lightsaber. She was a nurse before her capture/rescue, so she’s good at all kinds of medical type stuff and always keeps a cool head.
History: She didn’t take part in the original Bunny Wars. After college, she bought a small house in a development somewhere with her husband Josh Compton. They adopted an eight-year-old named Charlie. Josh died in a car accident last year. In the beginning of BA:TNG, they had found an HPB that was dyed white and adopted it. It then hypnobunnified Julianne. The bunnies used her to do their bidding and then “recycled” her somewhere in the DoH. She was found by the Resistance and taken back to the base. She didn’t know where Charlie was, but was reunited with him the next day (he was found at the base). She’s been with the Resistance ever since.))
((Name: Charlie Compton
Age: 8
Physical description: Messy dark brown hair, a couple of inches above his shoulders; brown eyes; about 4’8”.
Skills: If I recall, he was psychic to some degree. Is that allowable now, or should I change that bit?
History: Same as Julianne’s until the hypnobunnification. When she was hypnobunnified, the bunnies captured him and tortured him for information he didn’t have. He escaped with the help of a nicegoodius bunny (muselover the second) and made his way to the base, where he’s been ever since.))
((Is everything good, here, or should I change stuff?))
((Ignore Kaye? Far from it. Tease and annoy Kaye? Ohhhh yea.))
((*sigh*))
((Well, that was pretty much an epic fail. ))
((Yes. We need more ideas.))
((Honestly, electros…. listen to what we’re saying.))
((Listen carefully. ))
((Yes. And think about it.))
((And if you still don’t get it, check your email.))
((Actually, the email probably won’t help him that much…but yeah, electros. Do. And REPLY.))
((Nobody’s roleplaying. Come on, BA dies without people! I check on every few hours, (understatement alert!) but I’m the last person to do anything, so I can’t do any more. Please, come!))
((Sorry. We’re busy beaning electros on the head with flying monkeys. (Sorry, inside joke.) ))
((You’ve roleplayed recently, and Electros hasn’t responded, so I don’t mind. I’m really after everyone else, I suppose. *sigh* I have a tendency to start berating people for not being active… The circle repeats itself.))
((Teehee, ’twas actually me who RPed, but since we were discussing the post in detail off-blog it pretty much counts as her.))
((Exactly.))
((75s and 77s – I suppose I really have to do something then – I think I need to end this. *sigh* ))
PADME
“Hey, TGYPWYA. What is it?” I asked. As I spoke, everyone who hadn’t noticed TGYPWYA walk in turned in his direction, pausing in mid-shot/slash/punch/etc.
“I just came to tell you guys-” he broke of as Kaye walked in, followed by Slythix.
“What did I miss?” asked Slythix. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Kaye’s expression change slightly, but the expression was gone before I could properly discern it.
“Well, before I say anything more, are all of you in here?” asked TGYPWYA.
“Well, a few people are next door practicing-” began Zena, but just then Callista, Daisy, Mena, and Crystl walked in.
“- and they have just come to see why everyone stopped practicing,” finished Callista, looking at TGYPWYA.
“Okay, we’re all here now,” I said. TGYPWYA nodded.
“Okay, I came to tell all of you that you are all going to receive lessons on how to fly Arwings – starting this evening.” We all looked at each other.
“This is rather unexpected and sudden,” said Kaye, eyebrows raised.
“Ditto,” agreed Charlie.
“And a few of us already know how to fly them,” added Zavier, pointing to Zena and himself.
“Sorry for being so sudden, but we – us adults I mean – were all talking when it randomly occured to us that it would be good if everyone knew how to fly an Arwing or something in case the bunnies attacked and you needed an escape. After all, training isn’t all hand-to-hand combat – learning how to fly is simply another part of your overall training. And seeing as the bunnies plan on invading the Center of the Earth in five days… well, you get the point. Oh, and Zavier – for those of you who already know the basics of how to fly an Arwing, you’ll be taught more advanced techniques.”
There was a small pause as we absorbed this.
“Okay,” said Rik, putting his slingshot in his belt. “When can we go?”
((TGYPWYA, sorry for PPing you so much! ))
KITTYMINE
I left the others to search for William. It didn’t take too long – the sounds of metal clanging and scraping is a bit of a dead-giveaway.
“Hey, William!” I said, poking my head into the room. William rolled out from underneath the generator.
“Yes?”
“We’re teaching the rest of the kids how to fly Arwings. I know that you can already fly them well, so I was wondering if you wanted to come along to help teach or something.”
“Sure – I think I can pause working on this. I’m almost done as it is.”
((Correct me if I’m wrong – I-Man left for camp this weekend, right?))
((I have no idea. Where did he say that?))
((Yeah, I did. And I don’t think I’m going to have any time to come on here with the huge workload – I already have about 200 pages to read by Tuesday morning D: .))
((79- Hey, no problem. I was hoping someone would, actually. I can take it from here.))
“We can go right now, if you’re ready. Since I’m assuming that some of you aren’t, go ahead and grab anything you might need and meet up in the Reserve Hangar. Any questions or objections?”
“Yeah,” Kaye said, “What exactly do you need?”
I shrugged, “It’s up to you. Technically, you dont need anything, just anything you’d like to have along. Any thing else?”
“Will we be meeting any bunnies?” asked Slythix, seemingly excited by the possibility.
“Not if I have any say in the matter,” I responded, putting my hand on my blaster. I would make it my personal duty to make no bunnies got through to the kids. Or vice versa, if need be.
“Anything else?” I asked to general silence. “Okay then, meet up in the Reserve Hangar within fifteen minutes. See you there.” I turned and headed off towards the hangar.
“That’s a good idea.” I said. “I’ll go boot up the simulators, and refuel the Arwings.” I headed off to the reserve hangar, where there were a few Arwings and a door to the room where the simulators were. The simulators were basically Arwings that had gotten broken so badly that they couldn’t be restored to flyable condition. I had stripped them down to their cockpits, and replaced all of the windows with LCD screens. Then I had mounted them on stands that could tilt in any direction, giving the user a realistic experience. The stands could also shake if the user got enself into a situation that would cause a real Arwing to do so. I flipped the master switch, causing the lights to turn on and the simulators to boot up. Then I went back into the hangar and waited for everyone else to arrive.
CHARLIE
“Do you have any idea what ‘anything we might need’ is supposed to mean?” I asked Kaye.
“Nope, not really. I’m just going to go to the hangar.”
“I think I’ll just check and see if there’s anything in my room I might want to take,” I said, and raced off.
I wasn’t entirely sure why I’d need anything, but I got the feeling I might.
When I got to my room ((are we sharing rooms? Who can I share with?)) I grabbed all the weapons I could find. The others were plotting something, at least one of them was, and I figured it would almost definitely involve lightsabers and blasters…
JULIANNE
I hurried to catch up with TGYPWYA.
“Am I supposed to help with this? I’m not very good at flying.”
“Well, they won’t actually be flying, at least not yet. We’ll start them out on the simulators, then when they’ve gotten the hang of it we’ll let them have real ones and fly around for a while without us. You don’t need to take part in this if you don’t want to. At least you know how to fly an Arwing, right?”
“Yeah, I guess.”
“You can work on it with them if you want.”
“Uh… I’m not sure about that. I think I’ll just watch, thanks.”
“Okay, if you’re sure.”
Since I had nothing better to do, I volunteered to help teach the kids how to fly Arwings. We all clambered into the simulators. I pictured John next to me, grinning as he strapped on a helmet.. A sudden lump rose in my throat, and I swallowed hard as I gripped the controls.
The LCD screens turned on, showing an amazingly realistic simulation. A wide field of green grass swished ahead of us, and rustling trees dotted the landscape. A gently bubbling creek wound its way across the screen. The surround-sound system fed lively bird chirps into our helmets, and above us …
Oh. It was beautiful. The sky was blue, a bright periwinkle color I had seen nowhere else. Wispy white clouds drifted lazily across the pool of sky, and it was so beautifully blue it was almost painful.
“The sky used to be blue all the time,” said somebody over the radio connection. “Before the bunnies, pink skies were only at sunset.”
I sat down outside the simulators, strapping on a VR helmet–all the simulators were occupied already. It wasn’t nearly as sophisticated as the simulators, although we had used them before the simulators existed. I grabbed an imaginary throttle in front of me, and took off. I looked around, and saw a bunch of other CG Arwings around me. A voice came in through my helmet. “The sky used to be blue all the time. Before the bunnies, pink skies were only at sunset.” I wasn’t sure who was speaking, but I replied anyway. “In the first war, they managed to turn the sky completely pink. After we won, we reversed most of what they did, but we never quite got the sky back to its original color. I’d almost forgotten what it used to look like.” I sighed. Sometimes it seemed that we lost even when we’d won.
((Pink sky? This is new. *is seriously sickened* ))
RIK
I didn’t think I needed anything to fly except my hands, so I didn’t bother taking any extra weapons with me – except my slingshot which goes wherever I go. I couldn’t wait to get my hands on the controls of those Arwings.
When I got to the Reserve Hangar, I found out that no, we wouldn’t just fly out the doors with real Arwings, we would work with the simulators first. My bubble of excitement lost a bit of air.
‘I suppose this is supposed to be safer so that we don’t wreck a working aircraft. Nuts.’
PADME
What on earth would I need? I ticked off a list in my head.
‘ A weapon, a first-aid kit, a communicator, and possibly food.’
I had my lightsaber, the Arwings came with first-aid kits and communicators, and we wouldn’t be gone very long once we actually started flying so food wasn’t necessary.
Therefore I walked straight to the Reserve Hangar. Once there I entered a simulator and sat down in the pilot’s seat. The co-pilot seat was empty for the moment. A few minutes later, Mom entered my simulator.
“Just my luck,” she muttered as she strapped herself in. “Instead of teaching you to drive, I’ve got to teach you how to fly.” But she was smiling. I laughed.
((Well, might as well start doing something))
I entered the simulator, and was more than a little uneased. The controls were complex as best. I had improved these things before, just before the raid, but never flown one. “Well,” I said to myself. “You know nothing about what you’re doing.” I grinned. “Let’s get started!”
((Can I take credit for the sky quote? I guess I might as well…))
I settled down behind the bank of monitors, where I could see how everyone was doing, and therefore give help where needed.
I watched as the screens lit up one by one, showing the world before the war. “The sky used to be blue all the time,” I found myself saying. “Before the bunnies, pink skies were only at sunset.” I sighed, and old, sad thoughts came to my mind. But my sadness quickly turned to anger, and I found my hand moving towards my blaster again. I stopped. No, I thought. There will be a chance for revenge…
Errata:
I climbed in, hearing Callista following me. The screens around me lit up, showing a beautiful sky, perfectly white clouds… I was stunned by the forgotten beauty. Behind me, Callista said, “Wow,” very quietly. A soft voice murmured “The sky used to be blue all the time.” It was coming from the radio. “Before the bunnies, pink skies were only at sunset.”
I sighed. I found myself thinking of the normal childhood Callista would never have- None of the children would ever have. Even the adults, here, never had one. They all fought bunnies from the time they were twelve, or so. Some even younger. Yet who else would do it? We had to give our lives to this. After a moment, I remembered where I was, and grabbed the controls, ‘taking off’, while explaining everything I was doing to Callista, who copied me on what would, in a normal Arwing, but the ’emergency controls’
*be
Philomena:
Mom entered the same simulator as me. I looked at the virtual sky. “Wow,” I breathed, “it’s actually blue…”
Mom gave me a nod, and grabbed the controls, ‘lifting off’!
She explained everything right before she did it, with the result she was talking extremely fast, but I did it too. I copied her controls.
CRYSTL:
((Who the heck is left, and is an adult, that can teach Crystl to pilot an Arwing?))
((Note: Philomena and Crystl have had their birthdays! ‘Mena is now 10, Crystl is 8…and a half, and AvalonGirl is still 27, turning 28 in a few weeks.))
((89- Well, ZVX and TMFA are both available, not that they’ve been on in ever.))
((I wonder where ZVX vanished to…))
PADME
Mom took the controls (the real ones – we had to switch places) and showed me how to move the plane, and which buttons meant what. I copied her from the co-pilot’s seat.
AVALONGIRL:
As I adjusted the controls, I looked at the virtual sky, and a feeling of anger overcame me.
“Let’s hope we see this in our lives again for real! Cake those bunnies,” I snapped furiously into the radio, “our children might never see a true sky in their lives…all because of them!”
((I’m available.))
Crystl was the only one remaining, so I taught her to pilot the Arwing. “Well, see, you push this button here to turn it on” There was a loud explosion. “No, whoops, that’s to fire.” Despite my less-than-stellar instructions – I had never been a very good pilot – Crystl took to it well and started piloting it better than I could.
((Ah, sorry for the possible RPing. And while this may seem a really unrealistically fast learning process, I have no recollection of ever piloting an Arwing, so I probably fail at it. ))
I sat at the virtual controls, befuddled. The last time I’d been in an Arwing, I’d been bunnified, (which didn’t help my memory), and the ship had been on autopilot.
‘Ah well. Might as well watch the others and go along with it.’
I watched Kokonilly’s teaching and then experimented on my own by pushing promising-looking buttons and levers.
Some rather loud grinding and snapping and splattering noises came from the machine, then stopped. I grinned sheepishly at the amused observers. “Was that supposed to happen?”
Errata:
Callista picked this up faster than I expected. She had always been a fairly fast learner, but I’d thought that with something so complicated, she’d take some more time. After a bit, I glanced over at her, and noticed she was copying me almost faster than I was working. I then glanced up at her eyes. They were closed. The Arwing plummeted ten feet, due to my surprise, and then slowly rose up again as I mastered it.
“What are you doing, Callista? You can not fly an Arwing with your eyes closed!”
She ignored the reprimand, and answered the question instead. “I’m practicing the Force.”
The Arwing plummeted another ten feet. “WHAT?!”
She opened her eyes and began copying me by eyesight again. “Padme is Force sensitive, and she tells me I am too. I’m learning to use the Force. And I figured, if by using the Force, I could see the robot before it moved, I should be able to see you too. It worked well, until you distracted me.” She motioned out the window. “We’re falling.”
I looked, and sure enough, we were. Slowly drifting downward, actually, but it didn’t matter. I righted us, and turned back to her.
“I think you might be ready to try flying this yourself.” She beamed. I hit the ‘Emergency Control’ switch, and she was in control. “Try not to crash.” I warned. “These Simulators have an advanced feature built in so that when they crash, they calculate what would have happened in a real Arwing, and then simulate that. Thus, you might lose your engine, or your ability to turn right. Unfortunately, we can’t turn this feature off. It adds realism, and a incentive to not crash. You can’t teach that if whenever you do crash, nothing happens.”
She nodded, and continued piloting.
After a moment, I turned on the radio, and asked Groundhog, half jokingly, “So when are we unleashing the Virtual Bunny Hordes?”
((93.1-No problem. None of my characters can ride a normal bike, so I agree with you that they should all know how to fly Arwings! But you sound me teaching someone to work an oven.
…I’m serious.))
CRYSTL: I maneuvered the Arwing around, loving the fact I was in control of it. I was built and born for this! But I also didn’t like the sound of what was on the radio.
And the radio said,
“So when are we unleashing the Virtual Bunny Hordes?”
Oh, GOD, no..
‘MENA:
I was doing pretty good, not greatandwonderful, but very well. And to think I stunk at those flight simulator, I mused inside my head. I suddenly jerked the controls UP, and was hovering high-but not too high-in the air, when the message came through the radio.
“So when are we unleashing the Virtual Bunny Hordes?”
It was Errata.
By her tone of voice, she was only half-joking, I could tell…
But I felt like we needed that experience.
“This is going to be very, VERY, good!” I laughed crazily as I hovered, waiting for Groundhog’s response.
((OOH, I just had the coolest idea. How about when we do the raidthingy, some of the kids’ airwings get captured by the bunnies, with the kids? And those kids get stuck in aging machines so they can be better slaves, but it only ages them like half a year to five years (please let it vary-I’d like five years for my girls) because we burst in and RESCUE those kids. Pleaseplease? That pumps my girls up to the ages their mothers were in the original BA, or so!
…And besides, I’m just not very comfy RPing a recently-turned-8-years-old kid. If she was 13 instead, I’d be happy…or 12…that would be better than right now.))
((I agree with Errata about not wanting to change my character’s age, but maybe just your kids could get aged, because they’re too young? Except then Charlie is a problem…hmm. Maybe Charlie doesn’t come with us. Or something. You’ll have to ask RQ about that.))
((96- I don’t really like it. I mean, I understand your dislike of a eight-year-old character, but I still think it’s confusing, at best. And besides, most of the rest of us are happy with our character’s ages. It’s alright with me, though, if your characters are advanced for their age.))
((97-AvalonGirl, actually, would go crazy if anything happened to those two. I meant that not every character gets aged-you get a choice about it, you can write that it didn’t work on your kid or you hid or whatever. I just don’t know how else I can age those two 3 to five years ahead.))
((I’m fine with Charlie staying the age he is…. shall I RP? Who’s got a free Arwing? Julianne said she doesn’t want to teach him, remember.))
((RP the simulators, that is.))
I was, surprisingly, doing okay. I rose up about 200 feet, and cruised along calmly, thinking.
“Well,” I said. “You love Padme. Padme hates you. However, Kaye seems to be in love with me. What to do, what do to?”
“So when do we release the Virtual Bunny Hordes?” came over the radio. I must of dropped 110 feet before I recovered.
((
))
((
))
((That was amazingly hilarious, electros.))
((
It was indeed.))
((But, yeah, maybe it was kinda funny.))
((‘Maybe’? It was really funny, electros!))
((DRAT. It did that AGAIN. I c+p-ed Armada’s, too!))
((I wouldn’t do those smiley faces. You might grow to regret them.
((BTW, you know, teasing people isn’t the best way to get them to love you back….))
((What do you mean, love you back? That’s crazy!!))
((We-ell…..thank you so much. No, seriously, I just thought from the way you worded your RP that Slythix might want to get Padme interested in him too. But perhaps he just enjoys having a crush on her.))
((RQ, maybe he’s not quite ready for this….))
((Oh, no. You’re not backing out AGAIN, are you?))
((No! I’m just wondering if he’s ready for this! I am perfectly ready, but I can wait if it’s necessary!))
((All right, if you say so…))
((Where are you, by the way? *again*))
((I dunno. What do you think?))
((I’m here, but I’m not technically allowed to be on the computer, so I’m…not really on, if you know what I mean. I should be on later.))
((Oh, I’m ready. I was just considering my options.))
((Ahem. I don’t think she’s talking about what you think she’s talking about.))
((You’re one to talk! ))
(( Yeah, I know…. ))
I was floating around in my Arwing simulator, doing a few barrel rolls and other tricks. Flying had to be my favorite hobby, ever. Then Errata said over the com link, “So when do we release the Virtual Bunny Hordes?”
Ohhhhhhhh, yeah. Things were about to get a lot more fun…
((I had an idea. Maybe in the middle of the virtual battle, onto the screens comes a video message from Xeer. He informs us that our various family members are in his clutches, and encourages us to surrender so we can have the privilege of being bunnified alongside our loved ones. Anyone like the idea?))
((Eh, I don’t know.))
((102- I don’t think so. Enceladus wants to have at least three battles before the big end battle, and if we introduce that so quickly, it’ll be hard to get three in. Besides, it just seems to be moving a bit too fast. The climax can’t be earlier than September, remember?
I’m going to be gone the next two days, and after that we’re going on vacation again, though I should have internet access there. I won’t be on too much, and we’ll be gone for a while. But we’re not leaving until August, so not to worry.))
((102- That’d make it rather hard to do the kids-Arwing-thing we’re gradually working towards.))
Laughing, I punched in the commands to create a massive bunny attack fleet. “One virtual bunny horde coming right up!” I called out into the radio, setting most of the bunnies on auto pilot. Most. I grabbed a joystick and programmed four bunny fighters to cover mine. “Good luck, guys,” I said to myself as the bunnies suddenly appeared in front of the Arwings. “This is gonna be tough.”
((Should Charlie just take a random Arwing by himself?))
((I (Kaye) can come with him, I guess. It’ll afford more opportunity for… ))
((Yes. It will. ))
((Can someone give a summary? I’ve been away for 3 weeks.))
CRYSTL:
I gasped as the virtual bunny hordes suddenly appeared.
“Oh nonononono…” I muttered, my eyes wide in panic. Realizing there was only thing for it, I pulled the throttle, and shot UP. Seeing another Arwing up there, not knowing who it was, I started to pick off the bunnies from above…and I had to admit, I was good.
((Ack, I haven’t posted on this since May. Do I need to post something involving my skidding into the hangar, extremely annoyed at being late, or can I just RP having been with everybody else?))
((For the purposes of editing, it would be better to skkid in. Otherwise, doesn’t matter.))
((107 – Eh, I would, but I’m really busy.))
I was flying around in the simulator, shooting down some bunny ships but not too many (everyone else needed practice). It was actually kind of boring – we couldn’t skim across the surface of the sea or anything. All of a sudden, everything flashed, and I wasn’t there any more.
I was miles away, in a building that looked like a prison of some sort. Directly in front of me was a cell with a bench in it, and lying on this bench was a man with black hair and a 5’o-clock shadow, fast asleep.
A HPB came holding another person. Due to the lighting and other such minor things, I couldn’t see anything about them – or I was just too freaked out about the fact that the HPB walked straight through me.
BOOM!
I came back to the simulator only to find that I had been shot, straight in the head. “Idiot!” I muttered, slapping myself on the head. But at the moment, I was more worried about other things – like what I had just seen. I switched on the com link (I was out of the simulation, but I could still communicate with everyone else) and said, “Guys? I think I should tell you something.”
((Wheeeee, I finally posted something .
And in case anyone’s wondering (*cough* PP *cough*), that was a vision of the somewhat near future.))
Errata:
After getting Callista to drop me on the ground, (I could have just hopped out, but it destroyed the illusion.) I got in a simpler simulator, intending to see how Callista would do on her own. She was busy trying to surpise one of the ships by shooting it from below when I started the systems. I smiled, recognizing something I’d do, and set about programing Callista’s ship to flash, so I could moniter her.
Calista:
It took a moment to get into the air, but I got up just fine, and came from below to shoot down one one of the ships. I couldn’t coordinate flying straght up and firing at the same time, and missed badly. It began to run away, so I leveled out to follow it. A few moments later, I managed to shoot it down, half by chance. Clearly, I’d have to get better at this.
CHARLIE:
I got in an Arwing with Kaye, since Mom didn’t want to teach me how to fly one. I was sure I’d get the hang of this quickly, anyway.
We were doing pretty well, alternating turns navigating, when the Virtual Bunny Hordes showed up.
“I’ll work on shooting them. You fly it,” I said.
“Bunny ship straight ahead!” she shouted. I blasted it with all I had.
“Down!” I yelled suddenly, sensing that the ship was about to turn on us. We came straight under it. I got a couple of shots from below, and then Kaye turned our Arwing straight up.
“What are you doing?” I asked. “We can’t possibly get a shot at it from here!”
“Oh yes we can,” she said, and pointed the nose of the ship down. “Now! Shoot them now!”
I knew that if I timed this just right, we could come straight down through the wreckage of the bunny ship. I shot….. and it blasted into thin air.
“Yes!” I yelled, high-fiving Kaye.
She leveled the Arwing out and went to attack one of the ships covering TGYPWYA. Just then, my comlink crackled.
“Guys? I think I should tell you something,” said a voice. I quickly identified it as William. What was going on?
I manipulated the virtual controls, shooting the helibunnies that were surrounding me. Then I flew up above the virtual horde and started dive-bombing them.
JENNY:
It was a little hard for me to reach all of the buttons and levers and pedals in the cockpit, but I did okay. Then a swarm of bunnies appeared on the screens. I tried to shoot them, but I could barely fly straight while I was shooting–the controls were too far away from each other.
((110 – *cough**cough* Gotcha. Rather obvious. Oh, BTW – when we started getting into the simulators, I was seriously tempted to have William teach Padme how to fly, but I restrained myself.))
((Sorry I’ve been gone for a few days – I’m very busy this summer (what with work and all).
Summary:
a) see post 61 for last summary
b) since post 61, we have decided on doing the Raid Plan (post 56). Therefore, while the adults were discussing What To Do Next, Errata brought to everyone’s attention that the kids do not know how to fly Arwings. Thus, everyone is in the Reserve Hangar in the simulators learning how to fly. The Virtual Bunny Hordes have just been unleashed for us newbies to battle with.
Just after the virtual bunnies were let loose, William had a vision (that is seriously foreshadowing things) about a guy in a cell and an HPB dragging someone else into that same cell. William just communicated to the rest of us that he wants to talk to us.
I think that’s about it. ))
PADME
I followed Mom’s instructions, quickly learning how to manuever. Somehow, flying seemed sort of intuitive – due to the Force, obviously. However, the Force doesn’t help too much with trying to fly and shoot at the same time. Your aim might be better, but otherwise…
“Good job, Padme! You’re really getting the hang of this,” said Mom as I blasted a virtual bunny out from in front of me. I smiled, concentrating hard. Then William’s voice broke though my concentration.
“Guys? I think I should tell you something.” His voiced sounded a bit strange. Hoping that his tone was only a glitch with the communicators, I “landed” the Arwing (the virtual bunnies having mysteriously disappeared) and climbed out of the simulator, Mom hot on my heels.
I noticed that the battlefield was changing.
“By the 100,000 gods of infinite pinkness, they actually did it. Oh well,” I said, and started blasting bunnies.
I jumped out of my simulator and waited. After a minute or two, everyone was out of their simulators. Groundhog said, “So what’s wrong, William?”
“I’m not entirely sure,” I said. “I was in a hallway, and there was this cell in front of me. In the cell, there was a man sleeping. Then a bunny came and threw someone else in the cell… and that was all I saw.”
“But… wouldn’t we know if the bunnies had any prisoners?” someone said.
“I dunno…. I think… it’s a vision of some sort,” I said, my brow furrowed. “I think they’re going to kidnap someone.”
“What did they look like?” Kittymine asked.
“I couldn’t see the person that the bunny threw in there, but I think it was a girl. And the man had…” I thought for a moment, trying to remember. “Black hair, and I think he also had a 5’o-clock shadow.”
At that moment, Padme put her hand to her throat and fell-staggered to the ground. I rushed over and said, “Are you all right?”
In a very, very quiet voice, she said, “My dad!”
“What?”
“The man was my father! He’s alive!”
((116 – *squeals with excitement* This is going to be FUN!!!! ))
PADME
The world seemed to be spinning. I knew I was probably hyperventillating, but I was too caught up in my thoughts to take note of anything else.
‘That had to be Dad. The description is identical to how Dad looked in my dream. But then, William only said his hair color… Perhaps he remembers a bit more, just so I can be certain…’
I resurfaced to find Mom crouched down next to me, a worry line between her eyes.
“Padme? Can you hear me?”
“Yes… I’m fine. William! Do you remember anything else about how the man looked? Like his eye color or any other facial features?”
KITTYMINE
I hurried over to Padme. She seemed to be okay, but was obviously deep in thought, judging by her faraway expression.
“Padme? Can you hear me?” She seemed to snap out of it.
“Yes… I’m fine,” she said softly, before turning to William and asking him if he remembered anything else.”
LILIS
Xeer was just about to leave the room when an idea hit me like a bolt of lightning.
“Xeer… I don’t think we have too look very far for a family member. And this one isn’t even protected.” My mouth curved into an evil smirk. Xeer looked at me, slightly confused.
“Who might this person be?”
“Groundhog’s sister Kittymine adopted a girl named Padme, who is currently with the Resistance.” Xeer nodded thoughtfully.
“Okay… but how is this relevant?”
“I was the Prefect for her wing of the orphanage during William’s reign. From what I saw when I “borrowed” her file, her parents were attacked by an HPB regiment. Her mother was killed, but her father was taken captive. He worked as a hypnobunnified slave for the past 13 years, until somehow he shook it off a bit and escaped a few months ago. He has managed to elude capture until now, but I don’t think it will be too hard to track him down with everyone on the lookout. He has not protection and probably has some sort of tracking device on him.” Xeer smiled evilly.
“That would be a perfect trap. So Lilis – you, Serafina, and Syara get to work on locating the man, and then you and Syara will go and nab him. The only thing we have to work out is how to lure Padme in…”
(( I knew you’d like it.))
SERAFINA:
I nodded to Lord Xeer. “Perfect,” I replied with a smirk-I wasn’t cocky, but what could one man do against us? Nothing, except for a member of the Resistance…member of the Resistance…member of the Resistance…the words echoed around in my head. They meant something, something that would give me a plan.
I slapped myself. It was so obvious! “Well, wasn’t there a hostage exchange between the bunnies and that Resistance during the First Dynasty Upheaval? If we manage to locate that slave-no, when we manage to locate that slave-we can let someone-” at this point, my pointer finger pointed at the door, and at the high ranked guards that stood only inches away from it on the other side- “get captured, such as one of our personal guard. I can give suggestions for that. But after one is captured by them, we can do a hostage exchange, but maybe say that only Padme and one adult are allowed to come-and it will be peaceful, so no weapons allowed! On their part, of course. Lord Xeer, I await your critique!”
I nodded my head, and waiting, resumed my customary mocking look.
((OH GOD I REALLY LOVE WRITING THIS STUFF))
((117.1 – Psychic, simply psychic.))
((Oh good. Things are getting interesting.))
“I don’t know, I couldn’t see anything else about him!” I said, starting to panick a little. Then I remembered something else and added, “Oh, wait – he did open his eyes for a second, and…”
“Yes?”
I looked into Padme’s chocolate-brown eyes and finished quietly, “They looked just like yours.” She was in shock for a second or two. Then she sprang up to her feet and started running. “She’s running for the Arwings in the Reserve Hangar!” I thought aloud, and chased after her.
Quickly, though, I got lost among all the ships. I walked through them, searching for an Arwing, when I heard one start up. I raced over to it and jumped just in time to grab the wing tip before it started off into the sky.
Callista:
Who had been captured? Or who would be, since I was somehow sure that the vision was of the future, not present? It was then that Padme burst out,
“That man was my father! He’s alive!”
I froze, as sadness washed over me. My eyes squeezed shut, and I was backing up, out of the circle. I suddenly felt my mother’s arm around my shoulders, keeping me from backing up farther. “Why?“, I whispered, so quietly only Mom heard me. “Why?”
“I don’t know.”
It was not whispered, but spoken quietly enough that it didn’t carry. I knew she understood perfectly what was on my mind. I hadn’t thought about my lost family yesterday, since I’d been too busy. Today, I’d been busy too, and even when Mom showed up, I had been more happy about what was not lost, then what was. I’d been busy again since. But now, with the news of one father’s live status, the remembrance of my father’s death became suddenly vivid. My eyes squeezed tighter shut. Why had the bunnies come without any warning to invade my former happiness? Why?
I felt almost angry at Padme for her continued happiness. How could she be so happy when I was suffering so much? As William remembered something about the figure, and Padme took off running, I realized something else. Padme had had much less of a family for much longer than I had. I couldn’t blame her for rejoicing. I opened my eyes again, and followed Padme and William out of the simulator room.
((That took a long time to write. Three days, I think. One to think about it, one to try to write it and be interrupted, and one to finally get it posted. Emotion is harder than I thought.))
((ACK!!! Sorry, I-Man, but Padme has bright green eyes! Her father’s eyes are also green. [Note to editing people: fix post 203 of part 5 where Padme has the vision of her parents. It says that her mother has green eyes. Her mother should have brown eyes and her father’s should be green. Thanks.] ))
((122 – I suppose that Padme is sort of happy, but she’s also more like not-quite-sure-if-this-is-true-can-I-even-begin-to-believe-this. ))
PADME
William looked slightly panicked for a moment.
“I don’t know, I couldn’t see anything else about him! Oh, wait – he did open his eyes for a second, and…”
“Yes?” I asked desperately. William stared hard at me.
“They looked just like yours,” he finished quietly. I sat stunned for a second until my reactions kicked in. Without further ado, I jumped up and ran back into the room we had just exited – the Reserve Hangar – heading for an Arwing. I could hear footsteps pounding behind me, hear Mom yelling, but I ignored them all. Locating the nearest Arwing, I jumped into the cockpit and gunned the engines. Out of the corner of my eye, I thought I saw a figure jump toward the wing of my plane. But I ignored it – I had to concentrate on where I was going. After getting the GPS set for Alcatraz (I would take the controls from there), I hit the autopilot and sat back in my seat to think.
‘You idiot! Running off like that, completely rash, don’t you realize that this could all be a trap…’
‘Who cares? I know what I’m up against, I have to save my Dad. I’d always thought he was dead and now he may really die.’
My thoughts were interrupted my a sudden tap on my shoulder. I whirled around, lightsaber aloft, to find William grinning down at me.
KITTYMINE
“PADME! WAIT!” I yelled, running after her. I had to make her see reason. Unfortunately, I knew that a) when Padme feels strongly about something, she is as stubborn as a donkey and b) I could hear an Arwing gunning its engine. I was too late. I burst into the Hangar just in time to see Padme lift off, William hanging on the the wing of the plane.
‘Well, at least William managed to grab on. Perhaps he’ll make her see reason. Then again, perhaps he’ll just help her.’
I turned around, heading back, in time to see Groundhog, TGYPWYA. and others come through the double doors.
“She’s gone,” I said miserably, tears starting to prick at my eyes. For it was now that I truely realized that Padme was in danger – grave danger.
((She doesn’t have to be happy. Callista interpreted her actions as happiness. She was distracted by multiple things at that moment, so it’s understandable if she misinterpreted it.))
((Hahahaha!! We have finally plagiarized from Harry Potter!))
I ripped off my helmet and followed Kittymine in her chase after Padme. “PADME! WAIT!” she shouted. “Padme, please!” I added. But she was gone. I dashed into the air traffic control room and put on one of the headsets. “Padme, if you can hear me, come back!” I said. I handed Kittymine a headset.
((Wait say what? How is this plagiarizing from HP?))
((I am LEAVING for two weeks up to New York. I may or may not be on-so I’d like to turn control of my characters over.
Crystl and Philomena will be controlled by Kokonilly and RoseQuartz-you two can powerplay them if you like, or even use them as your own characters until I’m back…
Serafina will be controlled by Kittymine, if she’s okay with that…as I said earlier, you can powerplay her or use her as your own character…
And AvalonGirl goes to Armada. If she’s fine with that. Armada, you can powerplay or use AvalonGirl, please…))
Padme’s Arwing, with William clinging on board, rose higher.
“It’s the future!” I screamed after it, though I was sure she couldn’t hear.
“The vision was the future!”
But calling after her wouldn’t help. Besides, if there was going to be an adventure, I wanted to be a part of it. I turned to the nearest Arwing, and began climbing on board to start it up. “Come on!” I called to the group of kids standing in shock behind me, watching the first Arwing rise.
((123 – Ah, crud, I knew that was going to happen. GAPAs, could you change “chocolate-brown” (looking back, I think that was the wrong thing to say regardless) to “bright green” in post 121? Thank you.))
I clung to the wing tip as the Arwing flew at top speed. Note to self: clinging onto the wing tip of a ship is not a good way to hitch a ride, I thought to myself as I climbed around the hull to the airlock hatch. I opened it up, fell into the airlock, and closed the hatch before opening the hatch leading into the cockpit. Sure enough, Padme was sitting in the pilot’s seat. I tapped on her shoulder, frowning a little ((I don’t think grinning is exactly an appropriate expression – don’t know why, I just don’t)), and she whirled around with her lightsaber out. When she saw me, she sheathed her lightsaber and said angrily, “What are you doing here?”
“Seeing where you’re headed, for starters,” I said, walking past her and looking at the navigational controls. Her GPS was set to Alcatraz. I sighed and said, “Why are you heading to Alcatraz? He’s not captured yet – you know that.”
“I’m going to completely destroy Alcatraz so they won’t have any place to hold him!” she said vehemently. I grabbed her by the shoulders, turned her so she was looking at me, and said, “Padme, think for a second! I saw a bunny put a girl in the cell with him – what if that girl is you?”
“I don’t CARE, I have to protect him!” she said, wrenching herself free and sitting back down in the pilot seat. I sighed – there was apparently no way of making her change her mind. I sat down in the co-pilot’s seat, put my hands behind my back, and said, “Okay. Fine. You have any ideas where to start looking?”
I stared blankly after Padme as she ran to the Arwing. ‘Her father…’
“It’s the future! The vision was the future!” Errata yelled after her, to no avail. She turned back to the rest of us. “Come on!” She sprinted to another Arwing.
‘Why couldn’t it have been my parents?!!’ I sobbed in my head. ‘At least I’d know they were alive!’
Biting my cheek to keep the tears back, I ran after Errata, calling, “Wait up!!” as she started the engine.
((Wait, are we still doing the raid or what? I’m confused.))
((No. Look through the last 15 posts or so to get the general idea of what’s happening.))
The Arwing was still starting up when Daisy called “Wait!”, but I didn’t know whether she knew it. I turned to face her, my hands going to the take off controls. She clambered into her seat while I called to those still standing behind, “Get another Arwing, if you want to come.” The Arwing had mostly gotten started, and I took off, turning on the ship radio while I did so.
((124.1 – Let’s see – sees a vision, goes running after it…. sounds a lot like book 5 to me. ))
((125 – Sure thing!))
((127 – Actually, I assumed that her father would be in the DOH, but since the GPS probably can’t find the DOH, I had it set for Alcatraz so that Padme could fly the rest of the way from there. Oh, and fair point – I agree that grinning isn’t exactly the right reaction. I’m doing something stupid, for Pete’s sake.))
((129.1 – We could still do the raid! What’s the point of us all flying after Padme? What if everyone waits a bit so that Padme can get herself captured and then conduct a raid. It won’t take too long for that to happen (I think). The adults could take this opportunity to get everyone going with the real Arwings, and then the kids could do the raid. Tell me if what I just said makes any sense.))
PADME
“He’s going to be taken to a cell in the DOH – that’s where the bunnies took him after the originally captured him.” I was interrupted by the sound of Groundhog’s voice coming through the radio.
““Padme, if you can hear me, come back!” she said. There was a pause, and then she yelled, “EVERYONE, TURN AROUND THIS SECOND AND STOP FLYING AFTER PADME! DO YOU WANT THE ENTIRE RESISTANCE TO BE CAPTURED?!” Mom started calling me back as well. I turned off the radio, annoyed, and hit the accelerator. The Arwing shot forward.
“Why are you going so fast?” asked William as he tried to get his seatbelt on.
“I need to shake everyone off!” I responded. “It’s bad enough that I’m going, but there’s no need for them all to come! I don’t want them to come!” I knew I sounded like a little kid, but I couldn’t adequately explain exactly how I felt to William. I suppose I sort of felt that rescuing my father was my job alone.
KITTYMINE
I grabbed the headset and pushed it on to my head. Groundhog started to call the other’s back, seeing as everyone had just surged into the hangar and were all following Padme.
‘She’s not going to like that… she won’t want anyone else to come.’
((Oh, yes.
And I meant we’re not doing the raid now. We probably will do it later.))
As the Arwing shot forward, I said to Padme, “Look, I want to help you, but don’t you think going to the DOH is the wrong idea? Shouldn’t we-” At that moment I got an idea. I asked, “Can I see the controls for a second? I won’t take us back, I promise.”
After a moment, she reluctantly agreed, and switched control to the co-pilot’s seat. I set a new course for the DOH and we were off. Padme looked at the flight path and said, “Wait, you know where it is?”
“I’ve been there twice – of course I know,” I said, smiling.
“But why are we heading there?”
“Because if your father is alive, then most likely he was hypnobunnified until a few months ago, which means that he likely still has a tracking device on him. If we can get close to the DOH, and I can hack into the computers, we can see where he is now.”
I sighed, and descended. It would have been more fun to go, but I didn’t want trouble. I climbed out of the Arwing, and looked around. Mom was there instantly.
“What were you thinking, Callista?”
“I wasn’t.” I mumbled, staring at the ground.
“Don’t do it again.”
“I won’t, not where you can see me anyway.”
She tried to respond, but burst out laughing instead. At last, she quieted down. “You remind me so much of myself sometimes, you know.”
I shrugged.
“I guess I can’t really scold you though. I would have done the same, and did, several times. Good thing there’s more then just me – or just you – here.”
“Probably.” I replied, grinning now.
“So, when are we releasing the virtual bunny hoards?” came across the radio.
“Cake! Must you really do that?” I squawked into the radio. There was no response except a faint chuckling – presumably from whoever was running this thing – as the bunny hoards appeared.
I turned to Crystl, totally helpless. She was panicking, and I felt bad for never learning how to pilot an Arwing – but, then, I have never needed to.
We shot up, and my stomach went directly to my feet. I saw another Arwing as Crystl started to pick off bunnies.
I had to admit, she was good. Better than I was, much better.
I then heard a commotion over the radio. “What happened?” I asked casually.
After a few minutes, someone said, “Yeah. Something happened to Padme. We don’t know where she is. Come back to the hangar, guys.”
I turned to Crystl. “C’mon, let’s go back.” She nodded mutely, having heard the transmission.
“Padme, if you can hear me, come back!” Groundhog ordered. “EVERYONE, TURN AROUND THIS SECOND AND STOP FLYING AFTER PADME! DO YOU WANT THE ENTIRE RESISTANCE TO BE CAPTURED?!”
Callista landed the plane with a sigh and hopped out. Frustrated, I got out as well; there was no chance of leaving in the Arwing myself- the grownups would catch me in an instant.
“This is pointless,” I said to no one in particular. “I can’t blame Padme for leaving. We aren’t doing anything!!”
I felt trapped, sitting in the base with nothing to do but train. I needed to get out and fight!
I groaned. Everyone else was coming back, but Padme and William weren’t. I looked beside me. Kitty’s face had tears running down it. I reached over and gave her a hug. “I’ll try to contact her with the Force if you want.” I said quietly. “I won’t be able to convince her to come back, but at least I can keep an eye on her that way.”
After a long period of time spent flying, we arrived near the DOH. I landed us just inside their visibility range and started up the computer. Padme asked, “What should I do?”
“Pick off any bunnies or ships that come our way,” I responded. She nodded and took control of the weapons systems as I hacked my way into the computers. I first went into the main files… then into “Records”… then into “Tracking Devices”… and looked around until I found one that was likely Padme’s father. I uploaded it into the ship’s map, set a course for his current location, and we were off.
((BTW, I think it would be best if Lilis and Syara got him before we got there.))
((Where is Philomena at the moment? Since I’m controlling her character.))
((Most likely with Lilis and Syara trying to find out where Padme’s father currently is.))
((Wait, ‘Mena? I thought she was with the kids… somewhere….))
((Oh, yeah, you’re right… yeah, I think she’s with most of the kids and adults in the Reserve Hangar/Reserve Hangar simulator room))
((‘Kay. That’s what I thought. Shall we start the raid now? *is getting impatient* *wants real action scenes*))
((By the way, I-Man, can you go to the Sci-Fi RPG p*ease? I need you to RP the next bit.))
((I agree. I-Man interrupted our wonderful plan… Whatever. I’m not mad, don’t worry. I have to get off now…))
((So-RRY!))
((Summary of where everyone is:
> Padme and William are in an Arwing not too far from the DOH, hacking into the bunnies’ files to find out where Padme’s father is now.
> Lilis, Syara, and Serafina are about to go and kidnap Padme’s father.
> Everyone else is in the Reserve Hangar, having either just come back inside after flying after Padme or exiting their simulators.
> It is currently about 9:00 at night, November 22nd, Day 4 ))
RIK
Padme jumped up and ran for the Reserve Hangar. William started to chase her and I joined in, hot on William’s heels. Unfortunately, William was older than me and could run faster. He managed to grab the wing of Padme’s Arwing – I didn’t. Grumbling, I strapped myself into a small pod and took off after them (the controls are simpler). I heard Groundhog yelling at everyone to turn around, but I ignored her, taking out my stolen blaster and shooting the radio.
‘Good riddance.’
Padme started to speed up. I quickly locked my computer’s targeting system on her Arwing before it could get out of range and then accelerated. This way I wouldn’t lose her.
‘Lucky it’s dark – I blend right in.’
After flying for about an hour or so, Padme’s Arwing started to descend. I followed carefully, endeavoring to go unnoticed for as long as possible. I landed in the shadows a little ways away from the Arwing and turned off everything before exiting the pod. Shame I couldn’t send it back by itself.
I sneaked up to the Arwing and slipped through the airlock hatch unnoticed. However, Padme couldn’t fail to notice when I entered the cockpit.
PADME
I nodded to William and promptly took control of the weapons system. All was quiet until I heard the telltale sound of the airlock to the cockpit opening. I grabbed my lightsaber and whirled around in time to see Rik enter the cockpit.
“And what are you doing here?” I snapped, my eyes flashing.
“Take a wild guess,” he replied, rolling his eyes.
“It was really stupid of you to come.”
“And what does that make you?” he retorted angrily. “I have as much right to be here as you do!”
“Oh really?”
“Yeah – he’s my uncle, remember?”
There was a pause as we glared at each other for a few seconds.
KITTYMINE
Everyone turned around and came flying back. Everyone except Padme, that is. Tears started to course down my cheeks, but I didn’t bother brushing them away. Groundhog hugged me.
“I’ll try to contact her with the Force if you want,” she said quietly. “I won’t be able to convince her to come back, but at least I can keep an eye on her that way.” I nodded in thanks, but I wasn’t consoled much. Groundhog left me for a second to talk to ZVX, TGYPWYA, and the rest of the adults. I listened in on their whispered conversation with half and ear.
“Should we go on with the training?….”
“Of course! Now we have even more reason to get them all fully trained!…”
“We should probably start them on the real Arwings now…”
After a few more hurried comments, ZVX turned to the rest of the group.
“Okay, listen up everyone!” The kids all turned around. “It has been decided that we will go on with training this evening – that means that all of you are going to fly real Arwings, since you were doing fine on the simulators.”
TGYPWYA started directing the kids and their instructors (a.k.a. adult supervisor) to Arwings while Groundhog returned to her post as Ground Control. I stood numbly by, watching the goings on, when I noticed that really, I should have to be a supervisor, only there was no kid to go with. Which meant that someone else was missing…. I scanned the group.
‘Kaye, Mena, Crystl, Rachel, Sophia, Daisy, Callista, Koppar, Charlie, Rik… wait – where’s Rik?’
I walked around the hangar, peering at the rows of aircrafts. I noticed that one of the stealth pods was missing. Joy. I walked back over to Groundhog and tapped her on the shoulder.
“Looks like Rik followed Padme in a stealth pod – there’s one missing.”
LILIS
Xeer considered Serafina’s idea.
“It’s a possiblity – but is all depends on when you get that man back. So I suggest you get to it.” With that Xeer left.
It didn’t take to much time to track the man down. Edward Tesser had a nice locator still stuck on him which was broadcasting a semi-strong signal. He was currently located in LA, near the coast. Using satellite pictures, Serafina, Syara, and I could see the little fishing hut he was currently residing in.
“Some hiding spot,” snorted Syara. “I can’t believe that the bunnies who were supposed to be searching for him couldn’t locate him. I suppose that just proves how stupid they are.”
“Ditto,” I said, sending the co-ordinates to the fishing hut to my pod. “Let’s go catch us some easy bait!”
Five minutes later we were out in the skies.
((Wait… wouldn’t this be Day 3, since we started on the 20th?))
((Wait, adult supervision? That’s not good. I thought we were going to conduct a raid now!))
((We are. We’ll probably get the adults to drop us off later, and reshuffle with the kids two to an Arwing. Then someone will get bored and suggest we go fight. Without adult knowledge, of course. ))
((139.1 – *Thinks a second* Yeah. Woops. Not sure where I got an extra day from. ))
((140.1 – Bingo.))
LILIS
It took us about 25 minutes to get to the coast of California, thanks to the supersonic jet boost installed in my pod. We quickly located the hut and landed quietly on the docks. We slipped out of the pod and walked quickly through the harbor area until we came to the fishing huts. Tesser’s locator was blipping faster than ever as we walked up to the door of his hut and melted the hinges. The door fell forward with a THUD. Stepping over it disdainfully, I turned on a flashlight and panned around the room. There was no sign of the man. All that was in the one room shack was a table, a chair, and a bed. But on the table was…
“He took it out,” breathed Serafina, lifting the bloodied locator off the table and examining it. I, however, went straight for the note that had been next to the locator on the table. I read it aloud.
‘To the HPBs,
You can search if you’d like, but I doubt you’ll find me. Worst of luck in all of your endeavors.
Edward Tesser ‘
I crumpled the note up into a ball and incinerated it with my blaster.
“Well, he may think we can’t find him, but he’s dead wrong. There are other ways to track people than through crude locators. Stuff that doesn’t come off, if you catch my drift,” said Syara, smirking. I smiled back.
“Where do they put that tattoo again?”
“On their necks of course – were else?”
“And even without that – where would a lone man who’s life was ripped apart go?” added Serafina. We all looked at each other.
“Home, of course,” we said in unison.
EDWARD TESSER
November 20th
This is my first chance to write down what has occured since my escape, seeing as I have had no access to paper until I came back to this house, the house where it had all started.
Every since I had escaped, I only had one endeavor – to discover the whereabouts of my wife and daughter.
It took me a little over a month to get to the California coast, what with dodging bunnies and half swimming across the Pacific. Once I finally arrived, I dug out my locator with a knife and left it in a fishing hut along with a note. I stayed in that hut for the night. The next day I stole some money and bought a clean outfit and a plane ticket to the East Coast – Connecticut, to be precise.
It was a long trip, but despite that I pushed on. I had to get back to where it had all started – back to the house.
Yesterday, after two days of travel by bus, I arrived at the house. It looked awful – aside from the violence the bunnies had afflicted on it in their attack, it had fallen into disrepair. The entire street was like a ghost-town. Shaking with nerves, I entered the house.
Everything was still there – the pictures, the furniture. Tears coursed down my cheeks as I thought of the life that I had lost. But the worst was that there were no pictures of my baby girl. There hadn’t been a chance to take any.
I found an ominous mound of earth in the backyard, marked with a stone on which was carved, “The female biped – the bunnification was too much ”
I broke down, sobbing uncontrollably over her grave. I had suspected it all along, but I still had a faint hope that my Lillian had survived. Now the only one left is my child – Padme.
I don’t have the spirit left to leave this house. I hope that the bunnies won’t find me here. If they do, my escape will have been for naught.
((Yikes! I seem to have a thing with long posts these days. ))
((That’s okay. I don’t mind. Five characters? You enjoy making new characters, don’t you?))
JULIANNE
I might as well go with someone who already knows how to fly one of these things, I thought. It’s obvious that TGYPWYA only wants supervision for the kids at this point.
I noticed Philomena getting into an Arwing, and hopped in next to her.
((And Padme breaks the record with 5 consecutive characters ! But seriously, don’t you get a little worn out maintaining all of those characters?))
I turned around in my seat to find Padme and Rik still glaring at each other. “Look, I know you two are both angry at each other for coming,” I sighed, “but since we’re here now, can we try and focus on what we’re going to do?”
Padme sighed and said, “He’s right. There’s no point getting angry over what has happened.” Rik nodded, and we all fell into silence for the next hour or so. I occasionally checked the wings and such, but the flight was very uneventful.
Finally, we landed near where the signal was. We got out and surveyed the building. It was a small fishing hut, and the door was knocked in. Padme almost started crying when she saw the door and said, “We’re too late…”
I wasn’t so sure. Taking out a flashlight, I surveyed the inside of the hut. “No sign of a fight at all…” I said. On the table, there was a small object covered in blood. I picked it up and looked at it for a few seconds before I realized what it was. I walked back outside the hut and showed it to Padme and Rik. They looked at it for a few seconds, and Rik said, “What is it?”
“His locator. And it looks like it was taken out in a very crude manner, which means he’s probably still alive.”
“But now where do we go? We have no leads,” Padme said sadly.
I thought and said, “Maybe… unless – Padme, do you remember the address for the orphanage?”
Aaah! I leave for three days and this is what happens?! Can someone please tell me what’s going on and where I am?
((There’s a summary in post 139, which should explain most stuff.))
((Okay, thanks… I’m still confused, but slightly less so.))
((144- How did you know that? Are you listening in on my brainwaves or something? You are following my exact train of thought! Then again, “Great minds think alike”. ))
((Edward Tesser isn’t a permanent character. I just wanted to throw in his point a view a little bit. But actually, coordinating so many characters isn’t too hard for me. I writes stories with two of my friends. We currently have about 4 stories going, each with about 4 main characters each. So I’m used to juggling personalities. ))
((146 – The first time I was “psychic”, it was really just pretty obvious, and this time… I guess it was apparent.))
((SFTDP, I had to go for dinner.))
((*looks at last post* *winces* Umm, grammatical error. That should be ‘I write stories with two of my friends’ instead of ‘I writes’. Can somebody fix that please? It is rather painful.))
((SUMMARY!!!!!
a) see post 114 for last summary.
b) Since that last summary…
We all got out of our simulators to find out what William wanted to tell us. He tells us about this vision of a man in a cell and a bunny coming in and throwing a second, female person into the cell with him. Through the limited descriptions of the man, Padme figures out that it is her father. She runs back toward the hangar and flies off in an Arwing with William clinging unseen on the wing of it. Rik flies off in a stealth pod after them. Everyone else starts to follow in Arwings before being called back by Groundhog. The adults have a brief discussion before announcing that everyone should go on with learning to fly – only now you’ll use real Arwings and the adults are just there to supervise.
Meanwhile, Syara, Serafina, and Lilis track Edward Tesser’s (Padme’s father) locator signal to a fishing hut on the coast of California near L.A. They find that Tesser had dug the locator out and left it on the table, along with a brief note wishing the HPBs the worst of luck. The three women are now about to go look for Edward in his hometown – Simsbury, Connecticut.
Edward Tesser then makes an appearance (he is not a permanent character at the moment) and describes what he went through up until the point where he gets to his house on November 20th – the day this thread started.
Back at the ranch, Rik – having followed Padme and William – boarded their Arwing and joined their little group. Sparks flew for a few moments before William pointed out that really, there was nothing to do about the situation but to deal with it – so work together folks! Having hacked into the bunny system to get Padme’s father’s locator signal, William and Co. fly off to the fishing hut, only to discover the locator on the table (Lilis and Co. are gone by that point).
I think that’s it.))
EDWARD TESSER
November 22nd
I know my daughter is alive. If she had been killed, they would have buried her with Lillian. I have started looking at the different orphanages. I went from one to the next, traveling around all day. I visited at least 4 orphanages. The first three said that there had never been a Padme Tesser there. But on the fourth one I struck gold.
I knocked on the door of William Lane Orphanage. A sharp-faced woman opened the door.
“Yes? What do you want?”
“I’m inquiring about a girl named Padme Tesser. She’s my daughter, you see. Was she ever here?” The woman thought for a moment.
“Hmm… that name sounds familiar. Let me check my files. Come in.”
I followed the lady to a large office. I sat down in the chair in front of her desk as she rummaged through her file cabinet.
“One moment… yes, here it is.” She pulled out a file with the name PADME TESSER stamped on it in red ink. I took the folder with shaking hands. Inside was a picture of a scared looking child, about 12 years old, with long, braided brown hair and bright green eye. Eyes that looked exactly like mine.
“Well?” asked the woman. I swallowed hard.
“Yes – this is her, I’m sure of it.” I pushed the picture back inside with the rest of the papers. “Where is she?”
“She’s not here anymore. She was adopted a couple months back by a couple named Fallert. Sam and Kitty Fallert, if I recall correctly. Here’s their address, if you’d like. You can keep the file as well – I don’t need it.”
I went straight to this Kitty Fallert’s house. Unfortunately, the house was as devoid of humanity as mine – but there was no sign of a struggle. Odd. I went back to this house with a slightly lightened heart. I have proof that my daughter lives and I know what she looks like, but now I have to find out where the Fallert’s went.
LILIS
9:25 PM
We got back into the pod and looked at the HPB files on my computer to find out where Tesser was from. After determining that his house was at 23 Oakridge Drive, Simsbury, Connecticut, we flew off, using the supersonic jet booster every 10 minutes. We managed to fly across the entire U.S.A in about an hour and a half.
((does that make any sense? The booster runs for five minutes, and they give it another 5 minutes to recharge))
10:55
We arrived in Connecticut. It wasn’t too difficult to locate the house, thanks to the GPS. We landed in a field two doors down and walked up to the house. The door was locked, but easily opened by simply melting the hinges again. Only this time we caught the door before it fell the the floor. After setting the door down, we crept up the stairs to the bedrooms. In the master bedroom was Edward Tesser, sleeping on the bed. With the greatest of care, we bound the man up before waking him with a sharp nudge with the butt of Serafina’s blaster. He awoke with a start, saw us, and went as pale as a ghost.
“No…” he moaned, looking at us in horror.
“Believe it, Tesser,” snickered Syara.
After some thought, Padme recited the address of the orphanage she had lived in, and we got back into the Arwing and flew off.
Around 1:00 AM
We landed in a small field across the street from William Lane Orphanage. As soon as I saw the building, I knew Padme had been brought up in the wrong place – it looked very, very bleak. We walked across the street and rang the doorbell. The door opened and a sharp-faced woman was standing there, looking tired and also somewhat annoyed.
“I’m sorry, children, but the orphanage is closed right now,” she said, “unless-”
Padme stepped forward and said, “Hello, Ms. Snapcross.”
“Padme?” she breathed uncertainly.
“Yes, I don’t mean to be rude, but… was there a man here recently, asking about me?”
“Yes, he said he was your father.”
“Where did he go?” she said quickly, extremely eager all of a sudden.
“Kitty Fallert’s house – that was the only place we knew that had a connection to you.” We thanked her, then sped down the streets. At the corner of the last intersection, Padme stopped dead in her tracks. I bumped into her, and Rik bumped into me.
“Oh, no…” she breathed. I followed her gaze and my heart sank. One of the houses was missing its door. We rushed across the street and into the house. We found nothing in any of the rooms except for one small note in the master bedroom that said, “How does it feel, Padme?”
The note was covered in dried blood.
((Horray for dramatic posts! (And no, I didn’t kill Edward Tesser off.)))
((149- Now you’re way ahead of the rest of us. You should find a way to delay until we can catch up… Unless that post took place earlier than that. I don’t know.))
Callista:
I had left Mom behind- She wanted practice piloting an Arwing on her own. Now, I swooped and swirled, having some fun, but mostly slightly bored. If I hadn’t disobeyed Groundhog, I’d be off having adventures with Padme, William, and Rik. Instead, I was flying around without even bunny ships to take out. Well, might as well have fun doing this. I dove toward the earth, pulling out at the last minute. Let’s see…
After three loop-the-loops, I had nearly forgotten my annoyance. This wasn’t too bad at all.
((Well, I was thinking Kittymine and I refrain from posting until everyone else is on the same page.))
CHARLIE:
I got into an Arwing with AvalonGirl and took off, flying in wider and wider circles. This was getting boring. I wanted to practice target shooting, at least!
“Hey, Charlie,” said Mom’s voice from the radio. I sighed inwardly. She was kind of overprotective at times.
“Hi, Mom,” I said. “You do realize that Arwings don’t have radios just so we can have conversations, right?”
“Yes, yes, I know. I was just checking in on you, dear!”
I rolled my eyes. “Okay, Mom.”
I flew a few loop-the-loops, then circled again. Yaaaawn.
“I think you’re doing just fine, Charlie, so why don’t you drop me down at the Reserve Hangar?” said AvalonGirl.
Thank goodness… I thought.
When we landed, I noticed Mom and ‘Mena’s Arwing landing too. She’s probably checking on me again.
“I think I’ll practice flying by myself,” she said to no one in particular.
“That’s nice, Mom. ‘Mena, do you want to come with me? That way we’ll at least have someone to talk to.”
“Sure,” she said. “Just let me grab some stuff out of this Arwing.”
A few minutes later, we were off again. I noticed that quite a lot of the kids had dropped their “supervisors,” and remarked on it to ‘Mena. Her eyes went wide.
“Oooooh! What if we actually flew to somewhere?”
“Like….where?”
“I don’t know, but couldn’t we at least leave the base?”
“I certainly wouldn’t mind leaving. Want to radio everyone?”
“Sure!” She turned on the radio and relayed her idea.
((149 – Was the house you found the note in Kittymine’s house or Edward Tesser’s house? In post 148 I sent him back to HIS house, which is on the other side of town from Kitty’s house.))
((150.1 – agreed. ))
Callista:
“Leave the base?” Wow. That was an idea… I thought that through. Not a bad idea at all. “Why don’t we go attack the DoH?” I was three quarters serious, though I said it in a joking tone. It would be fun… And it would certainly take care of my remaining boredom.
Errata:
I vaguely noticed the kid’s maneuvers get more and more complicated, and more and more of the kids dropped off their accompanying adults. But I was chiefly focused on the thrill of flying again. It was so wonderful, up in the air, your Arwing swooping here and there at your slightest move.
((Umm… *thinks for a few minutes*
This is why actually thinking things through, while not as fast as our method, gets things done better.
I guess this is what I’m thinking: they abduct him from his house, then take some of his blood, make the note, and put it in Kittymine’s house, which Lilis knows is likely the place where the orphanage will point Padme.))
By some luck, I ended up in an Arwing on my own.
Suddenly, voices came over the radio.
“Let’s go leave the base!” That was ‘Mena.
“Leave the base?…” “Sure!” “Yeah!” There was general assent.
“Why don’t we go attack the DoH?” Callista suggested.
“Sounds good to me,” I muttered, and others were of the same mind.
“Alright, set your navigation systems, and on the count of three we leave,” someone took charge.
“1”
All the adult supervisors were on the ground.
“2”
Only a few were looking up.
“3!”
As one, we all leaped into motion, engines at full force, flying at high speed.
“Wooooooooooooohoooooooooooooooooo!” I yelled, the g-force pulling me back in my seat.
As soon as the base was out of sight, the Arwings gradually slowed.
((154 – Okay. That works.))
((Also, for those of you going off on the raid – shall we say that it was about 10:00 p.m. when the kids went into the Arwings with the supervisors. So now it would be about 10:30-ish. If you guys start out on the raid, it would probably take you until around 1:00 to get to the DOH (since we don’t have supersonic jet boosters yet). So you may cross paths with Padme, William, and Rik. ))
((156 – How does that work out? Isn’t the DOH somewhere in Washington?))
((It just works. Do not question the ways of MBers. We’re not too concerned with physics here. If we say we should get to the DOH at 1:00, we shall get to the DOH at 1:00.))
((No, my point is – how is there a chance that one Arwing going from Conneticut to the Yukon will intercept any Arwings going from the Yukon to Washington?))
((Whatever. Are you going back? Maybe you notice some other Arwings on your radar, and, assuming they’re bunnies, come to take them down? I don’t know how good our radars are…))
((Okay, I’m thinking of introducing a new character when we get to the base. I’ll RP her. I have a really good plot twist (that is, if we use……certain ideas……for TRF). Although it might seem a tiny bit Mary Sue-ish, Armada approves of it. I’m not sure how much I should tell you….))
(( 157 – 157.1.1.1: I was assuming that once Padme, William, and Rik realize that Edward is gone, they will head straight for the DOH. ‘Course, if they’re leaving Connecticut at 1:00 am…. then they won’t get to the middle of the Pacific (the DOH is in Mount St. Helena) until who knows when. Great. Maybe they can find a supersonic jet booster or hyperdrive or something to speed their travel time up? ))
((No, see, what I was thinking was that Padme thought her father was dead, and just want to go back to the base.))
((WOW, that was quite gramatically incorrect. Let’s fix that.
((No, see, what I was thinking was that Padme would think her father was dead, and that she would just want to go back to the base to recuperate.))
((158- Go ahead. I don’t mind. I’m planning on pushing the Mary Sue limit a bit myself, so we can be Mary Sues together. ))
Callista:
This was fun. Even if we went back right now, it would be worth it. I sighed in satisfaction, and sat back to enjoy.
Errata:
I was in the middle of a loop when I heard a beep. Straitening out immediately, I scanned the systems, searching. Nothing was flashing, nothing was wrong. Maybe I’d been hearing things, or maybe it’d been a malfunction. Who knew. I noticed, after a moment, that the kid’s Arwings were no longer visible on my short-distance radar. I’d gone farther than I’d thought. I’d have to start working my way back.
((Hey, who wants to be in an Arwing with Kaye? I’m needing a bit of inspiration here….I’m still sort of confused.))
((161:Me. This should be interesting.))
((Aww…. *is promptly smacked by Armada*))
((SHUT UP! *garden weasels*))
((Sorry, electros. Ignore her.))
((Yes. It should.))
KOPPAR:
((Would it be okay if I RP being in an Arwing and then when we edit this, put in something about Koppar skidding into the hangar?))
KANINEN:
I walked into [insert place where Xeer is]. Xeer looked up, an expression resembling concern on his face. “Great William! What happened to you?”
My normally glossy and iridescent fur was dull and streaked with mud, and I had grimy, blood-stained bandages on my forepaws, left hind leg, left shoulder, and both of my ears. I was exhausted and looked it.
“My Arwing crashed,” I said.
“The bipeds again?” asked Xeer.
“Yes.”
Xeer sighed. “Don’t worry about it, Kaninen. I’ve sent Lilis, Syara, and Serafina out on a mission and–”
“What mission?”
“I’ll tell you later. And don’t interrupt me, General. Ahem. As I was saying, I’ve sent them out on a mission that, when it succeeds, will rid us of those pathetic bipeds.”
“Great!” I said happily. “There’s just one thing, Xeer.”
“What?” he asked, rather irritably.
“How do you know this will work?”
“I can’t tell you the specifics right now, but basically, it’s a hostage exchange. You remember the one Father pulled off?”
“Ah yes, of course. That should work.”
“It will. And now,” said Lord Xeer (Emperor of All Bunnykind), “you should go get some rest.”
“I will.” I said, yawning.
((Not terribly dramatic, but it gets Kaninen back into the story.))
((159.1.1 – So where are they heading? The DOH or the base? ))
((The base.))
((*sighs* Fine, the base it is.))
CHARLIE:
After we got over the initial high of having gotten out unnoticed, most of our Arwings slowed down. Read: all but ours.
“Mena, what are you doing?” I asked, trying to stay calm (rather hard in an Arwing going at what felt to me like a million miles per hour).
“Getting us there quickly. Duh.”
“But, everyone else slowed down…”
“Exactly! That means we get there first! And we can sneak in!”
“Why would we want to do–uhhh.” I suddenly had an overwhelming vision of a girl in a pale pink dress, falling- or being pushed? off of a landing pad at the DoH. There were bunnies behind her.
“Never mind. Mena, get us there as quickly as possible, ‘kay?” I felt like I couldn’t breathe.
“I knew you’d see reason, Charlie! Let’s– hey, what’s wrong? You look really weird. Are you getting airsick?”
“No. It’ll pass in a minute. I’m fine.” Actually, I felt awful, but I knew it would be over soon.
“Seriously, if you want to slow down, I’ll slow down.”
“NO! If anything, we need to go faster.”
“Charlie…” She turned to look at me, her eyes full of concern. “What’s wrong? Seriously, you can tell me.”
“I feel fine.” And I did. The vision, however, had brought with it a sense of extreme urgency and desperation. Perhaps the prolonged shortness of breath was a warning.
“What happened back there?”
“Don’t radio the others about this, but I… saw…. something.”
“Saw what? A bunny ship? If you saw something like that, we should–”
“No, nothing like that. A person. At least I think she was a person.”
“Where? Was she in trouble? We should go back for her!”
“No, you don’t understand. I saw…. the future.”
“You have the Force?” she breathed in awe.
“Yes–no–I don’t know. I have visions sometimes, but most of them are just what’s happening in other places. Other times I see people’s memories. Most of the time I can tell people’s thoughts.”
“Whoa… So what did you see?”
“A girl in a pink dress, falling or jumping or being pushed off of a landing pad at the Dungeon of Horror. There were bunnies behind her. She looked scared. I think this is going to happen in a couple of hours.”
“Then we’d better get there quickly. Shouldn’t we enlist someone else to help?”
“I’ll radio Kaye.”
((It would now be helpful if Armada or electros could RP.))
((Actually *takes back the sigh* I just had a great brainstorm ))
(( That can’t be good…))
((Holy cake. I’m seeing a lot of ridiculously long posts. Well, for the time being I shall lurk and see where the story takes me.
))
((Kittymine, not to be rude, but could you post your master-plan idea ( ) so I can post? I’m getting fidgety from my posting recession.))
((Armadaaaaaa… electrooooooos…. hint hint hiiiiiiiint….))
((170: What now?))
((171- Since you and Armada are sharing an Arwing, I thought one of you could RP Charlie’s radioing you. I know Armada isn’t here.))
((172 :We are? How interesting.))
((I thought you were….))
((Yes, they are.))
Crystl:
I stared out the window of my Arwing. I wasn’t driving, I didn’t feel good lately. My lips opened, and quietly muttered four words…
“I miss you…mom…”
((I have not taken back control of my characters.
What age is Charlie?
Also, MAJOR NOTE: Serafina is Crystl’s mom. They lost each other in a battle-after that battle, Serafina was taken by the bunnies! But if she has to, Crystl might be able to break through to Serafina. But she would choose the lesser evil if Serafina was about to destroy the world.
Thanks for listening~!))
((Eight. Were you thinking what I was thinking? Would that even work? Maybe…))
((Do you know where all of them are?))
((Is this a good time for me to join?))
((Sure. Do you have a character in mind? We can meet up with en at the Dungeon of Horror. Just make up a short sob story about how the bunnies captured you and you’re good.))
(( Who said anything about being good? I think I’ll be a bunny. Perhaps. I’m not sure. Ah! I’ll be neutral! Maybe a hermit or someone who lives near the DOH.))
Callista:
I slowed down after a few moments, along with everyone else. Except for Charlie and ‘Mena’s. After a moment, I tuned out their Arwing, and radioed everyone else.
“Do you think we should speed up again? It would probably be better if they weren’t on their own…”
I got mixed responses. Some yeses, some noes.
“Well, I’m going on ahead. If you want to speed up too, go ahead. It might not be a bad idea to have some lagging behind the others… You know, surprise reinforcements.” I increased my speed again, zooming ahead.
Errata:
There weren’t any Arwings in the sky when I got back to base. Had the children moved somewhere else, or had they landed? I didn’t know. Well, the other adults probably had it under control. I landed, and went back inside.
((Sure I-Man! Sorry I’ve been gone for three days – I’m really busy at the moment (but only 7 more days of work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) Anyway, here’s my plan so that you can post also:
Padme, William, and Rik fly back to the base thinking that Edward is dead. They get there to find the adults in a frenzy since everyone ran off on this impromptu raid. They fly off after the raiders, wanting to help (and Padme wants revenge). They get there and after meeting up with the other kids and having some nice battle scenes and stuff, Padme gets herself captured (possibly in front of William) and is thrown in a cell with her father.))
LILIS
“What do you want from me?” asked Edward, his voice pleading. “I don’t have anything.”
“We don’t want possesions or trinkets, Tesser. We want you – you’ve become extremely valuable to Lord Xeer and he’s not too happy that you ran off,” said I, leveling my electro-blaster at him and pulling the trigger. Electricity shot out of the gun and hit Edward head on, causing him to writhe in agony on the bed.
“That’s for all of the trouble you’ve been. Now… Syara, would you like to do the honors?” She grinned evilly.
“My pleasure.” She began to pummel Tesser with her fists until he was semiconscious, then took out a knife and made a deep cut his arm. Immediately after doing so, she knocked him out with a stun blaster. Serafina collected the blood in a small jar and brought it over to the desk. I took a sheet of paper and wrote a short little message to Padme. I then poured some of the collected blood on the note and left it there for Padme to find. I dumped the remaining blood on the floor. I checked my watch – 11:10 p.m.
“Okay – let’s get out of here with this guy.”
We dragged Tesser down the stairs. At the threshold of the house, I had a sudden inspiration. I dug an hand into my pocket and pulled out a small object, dropping it on the floor. Syara stared at me.
“May I ask why you are leaving that behind?”
“I’d like Padme to get to the DOH this century, if you get my drift.”
“Ah.”
PADME
We ran to Mom’s house and checked it from top to bottom – no sign of my father. I slumped into an armchair and put my head in my hands, my file falling to the floor at my feet and flopping open. Tears oozed out from between my fingers before I could stop them. I heard footsteps approach my chair.
“Don’t give up Padme – we’ll find him,” said William reassuringly from my left. I heard someone stoop down to pick up the file I had dropped.
“Hey – look what it says in here,” said Rik. I looked up.
“What?”
“Listen – ‘Reseach has brought us to the conclusion that her parents were Lillian and Edward Tesser. Parents vanished from their home at 52 Holmes Road in Simsbury, presumed dead.’ Well, we’re in Simsbury, aren’t we? And Holmes Road is only 5 blocks north, according to the GPS.” I jumped up.
“Then let’s go!”
1:10
We arrived at the house. I did not remember it at all – how could I have? The first thing we noticed, however, was that the door was hanging off its hinges. Not good.
“Oh no…”
We ran upstairs and headed for the master bedroom. Inside, we found blood everywhere and a note on the bed labeled ‘Padme’. I picked it up with shaking fingers and opened it to read the words, “How does it feel, Padme?”
The note was covered in dried blood.
I fell backward on to the bed, my head spinning, my breathing fast and shallow. I felt sick.
“We’re too late,” I heard myself whisper, my voice choked. I felt someone sit down next to me and wrap me in a strong embrace. It was William.
We sat there for a few moments in silence before standing (Rik and William supporting me) to walk back to the Arwing. As we walked out the door, I nearly tripped over something on the floor. William picked it up.
“What is it?” William’s eyes widened.
“Um.. it looks like our adversaries left us a supersonic jet booster to install in our Arwing.” I stared at him incredulously.
“Um… are you sure?”
“Pretty sure.”
“Only one way to find out,” said Rik. “Try plugging it in.” We stared at him.
“Risky. Very risky. But…”
We took the booster and walked to the Arwing.
We plugged it in. We waited in bated breath for a few seconds, tensed for an explosion. But nothing happened except for the computer recognizing the new add on.
William shrugged.
We took off and flew back to the base. Thanks to the booster, we got there in an hour and a half.
((Sorry for the long post, Nilly!))
((THANK YOU for finally posting, but –
snap, we screwed something up again. And I don’t know what to post .))
((And about your plan for what happens next…
It’s not that I don’t like your idea – I do. It just doesn’t really seem plausible.))
((Note: I will try to make him as different from Rik as possible.
Name: Ligia Flitt.
Age: 26
Gender: Male
Description: thin wispy brown hair, aged face, light gray eyes, extremely skinny, medium height.
Personality: Very sad, bitter, and mournful of what the bunnies have done, is very stealthy, a bit antisocial, skilled in assassination
Backstory: Ligia grew up in a hut near the DOH before the bunnies took it over.(Does that make sense?) His parents thought the bunnies were (somewhat) good and tried to ally with them, but were betrayed and bunnified. They now work as the lowest slaves in the DOH, and Ligia scorns them. The bunnies thought Ligia had died in the wilderness because he was so young, but he survived and lives in a camouflaged cave, keeping a low profile and spying on the bunnies.
So, I don’t know when I should introduce him. I was thinking he might help Padme and Edward escape, but that’s a while later. Where is the DOH, anyway? I forget…))
((Somewhere in Washington, I think – in Mt. St. Helens?))
((ARMADA! I need you or electros to RP!))
((Sorry…I know. I’ll do it now.))
KAYE:
The radio in the Arwing crackled, and Charlie’s voice came through. “Kaye? I just had this weird vision…” He described it, and I listened in semi-shock. “I didn’t know you were psychic, Charlie! Since when is that?”
“Yeah, um, I don’t like to advertise it that much. Sometimes people think I’m weird….”
I remembered, suddenly, what had happened in the cafeteria. Me bumping into Slythix, blushing bright red…and Charlie, in the background, watching.
Oh, cake.
“Well, anyway, we need to get to the DOH quickly so we can rescue this girl! Come on!”
“Okay, yeah. Sure.” I pulled on the throttle, and the engine speeded up smoothly. I love Arwings.
I thought about telling Charlie that I knew he knew, and not to tell anybody, but that would sort of be defeating the purpose, seeing as anything he heard Mena would hear as well. I’d have to corner him some other time.
((I’ll write more later, hopefully–I have limited time on the computer now. At least I wrote something, right? That’s what’s important? ))
((In my opinion, yes. I can’t really write something, at least until we a) get to the DOH, or b) decide the parents can notice we’re gone. Sigh.))
((Just thought of something…. I think I’ve been assuming that the DOH is in the middle of the Pacific Ocean a bit past Alcatraz. But that doesn’t work if Mount St. Helens is in Washington… *headdesks* ))
((I-Man, could you be a bit more specific about what isn’t plausible? I don’t mind if you have an objection – I like my plans to make sense.))
Alcatraz isn’t in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, either. It’s in the middle of San Francisco Bay. Or is BA geography completely different?
We uprooted Denver at one point. I’m assuming there’ve been changes.
((Yeah, that was funny… Geography must be different in BA. As well as the fact that cities can move around…this is the future, after all.))
((HA! So you do still lurk! ))
((See, if we take an hour and a half, that means we get back to the base at 2:40 AM. And if the adults are still there, it basically means they’ve taken 4 hours and 30 minutes to notice the kids are gone, and then spend 10 minutes running around and doing nothing except panicking.
I know that sounded kind of funny, but really, our characters are supposed to be intelligent.))
((Well, we never specified how long we’d been flying before we took off. Our characters are also supposed to need sleep, but we’re all flying toward the DOH at a great rate, putting no thought into the fact that we’re probably highly sleep deprived. Of course, it’s highly likely that said sleep deprivation is contributing to the fact that we thought it was a good idea to fly off to the DOH… We should at least write in the fact that we slept on the way there…))
((That first sentence sounded wrong…
I meant, ‘we never specified how long we’d been flying before we started flying toward the DOH.))
((183.2.1 – just for the sake of postability, let’s go with Kittymine’s idea. I don’t have any other ideas.))
Using the booster, we arrived at the base in an hour and a half.
2:40 A.M
We arrived and landed in the Reserve Hangar to find everyone panicking. The adults were rushing around and it looked like something had gone very wrong. We hopped out and asked what had happened.
“The other kids are apparently flying towards the DOH,” Groundhog explained breathlessly. “We’re going to fly there and bring them back. Do you three want to come with us?”
“Rik and I will come, but Padme has to stay here,” I said. She turned to me with steely determination (but also hints of rage) in her eye and said angrily, “Why not?! If anyone has a right to go to that God-forsaken dungeon, I do!”
“Padme…” I said, keeping myself calm in an attempt to try and calm her down a little. “I’ve seen how people can react when their emotions get the best of them. You’re just going to be killing off as many bunnies as you can without giving little thought to your safety or the safety of others.”
((Could someone post a summary explaining where everyone, particularly Enceladus, is? I went over to the SciFi thread to ask him to come back, but he wants a summary. I don’t know why he hasn’t asked for one over here, but whatever. Anyway, I don’t want to post a summary when there’s two people designated for that job already.))
Callista:
After the initial high of having successfully snuck away from base, I began to get tired. It was, after all, nearly 1:00 A.M. I radioed everyone, and suggested we put our Arwings on autopilot, and sleep on the way there. I didn’t wait around to see if they followed my advice, though. I turned the radio to ‘off’ and went to sleep.
((I’m assuming we left around 12:45. This cuts the time before the parents notice down to two hours, which is still stretching it, but given that it’s late, some of them are probably asleep, and so unlikely to notice. Oh! What if we add something to what the adults were doing to make it more likely they wouldn’t notice? Like, convinced one of the robots to explode or something?))
((Ack, I haven’t posted here in a while. But only because I can’t think of anything.
Anyway, I won’t have internet access for a week, starting tomorrow. Can someone please include Daisy with the group? Just mention that she’s there or something like that. Thanks!))
((You have a point there. The adults would notice about 10 minutes later. Um… hang on *charts out on paper all of the times and such* Actually, I think it makes more sense to have the parents realize the kids are gone and fly off, and then Padme, Rik, and William come back to find the base empty and a note saying that “we went off the get everyone else – they went to raid the DOH. STAY PUT if you read this” or something like that. They then – on principle of course – go off the the DOH anyway.))
((To deal with the time gap issue – I wrote out all of the times of things on paper, and I think I’ve got it mostly worked out. This is more for the editing people who will fix everything later.
The Resistance:
Finish dinner – 9:00
Start on simulators – 9:45
Padme flies off – 10:00
Everyone starts on real Arwings – 10:20
Supervisors are dropped off – 11:00
Kids start flying for raid – 11:20
Parents notice that they are gone – 11:30
Kids arrive at DOH – 12:20*
Parents arrive at DOH – 12:30*
*I am basing the arrival times off the assumption that it takes about an hour to get from the Yukon to Washington.
Padme and Co.:
They land by the fishing hut – 11:00
Fly off for Connecticut – 11:10
Arrive at orphanage – 1:00**
Leave Connecticut to get back to base – 2:40
**I know that this only gives us two hours to get from California to Connecticut but I’m assuming that Arwings fly faster than regular planes.
Lilis and Co.:
Fly to fishing hut – 9:05
Arrive at hut – 9:30
Get to Connecticut – 10:55
Leave with Tesser and head back to DOH – 11:10
Get back to DOH – 12:40
I hope this all makes sense. ))
((I gotta go – I’m a bit pressed for time here. So in short – I-Man, do you mind if we get back to the base, see that everyone’s gone, and then go off and join them? I know that means you’ll have to rewrite your post. ))
((No, not at all! No, that’s all right.
*sees opportunity for a corny Monty Python joke but ignores it*))
We flew back to the base with the jet booster now installed. Apart from Padme occasionally sniffling or crying silently, nothing much happened.
2:40 AM (November 23 – Day 4)
We arrived back at the base after about an hour and a half. We landed in the Reserve Hangar and I immediately noticed something odd. As we walked through the base, I realized what it was – no one was there at all. “Where is everyone?” Rik said nervously. Neither Padme nor I had any response.
Rik and I walked to the boy’s rooms while Padme went to the girl’s. There, we noticed a note pinned to the wall. I took it off and read, “We went off to get everyone else – they went to raid the DOH. STAY PUT if you read this.”
“This changes everything,” Rik breathed. I nodded, and we walked out to the hallway. There, we ran into Padme, who was also holding a note – presumably reading the same thing. “So what do you think happened?” she asked, looking at the ground.
((Could everyone please ignore 184 from now on, please? Thank you.))
((So we have technically gotten to the DOH by now? Awesome. I shall now write a post explaining this. Technically, I should wait for RoseQuartz, since her ship is probably getting there first…
Wait, parental units interfering.
KITTYMINE
11:30
I checked my watch. The kids had been gone for a little while now. I walked over to where Groundhog was manning ground control.
“So where are the kids headed?” I asked as casually as I could. Groundhog looked up, frowning.
“I’m not sure… they went off the radar a few minutes ago and haven’t come back on since. I’ve tried calling in on their radios but no one has picked up. It’s like their purposely ignoring us…”
At that moment, TGYPWYA popped his head in.
“What’s this I hear about ignoring us?” Groundhog explained the story to him.
“Well,” I said, “If we assume that they are flying off by themselves, where would they be headed and why?”
“The DOH. Definitely,” said TGYPWYA. “I mean, think of it this way – they’ve been stuck inside training for a while, the closest thing we’ve gotten to a fight was the trip on the jet. They’re craving a little action. Then add the fact that Padme, Rik, and William all flew off…” TGYPWYA trailed off, his sentence unfinished. He didn’t need to finish it.
“Then let’s go!” said Groundhog, standing up. “We can’t just let them fly off like this on some sort of impromptu raid without any backup. I mean, they may be good fighters but they’re still just kids.” Groundhog hit the intercom.
“Everyone, drop what you’re doing (sorry to wake anyone up) and come to the Reserve Hangar immediately.”
About 5 minutes later, everyone was in the hangar and aware of the current situation. We all boarded Arwings (two per Arwing) and took off. As we flew away, I hoped that Padme would find the note I left for her. I didn’t want to lose her again.
((SFTDP – I had to leave abruptly before))
LILIS
12:20
We were 20 minutes from the DOH when a message came through the radio.
“Lilis, do you copy?”
“Loud and clear Xeer.”
“How far are you from our current location?”
“About 20 minutes and counting. Why?”
“We have a situation – the Resistance is raiding. This may actually work to our advantage, but we need a sneak attack. They are doing suprisingly well against our forces.”
“I’ll be there ASAP.” I turned to look around at the others.
“Looks like we’re in for some fun,” I commented, grinning. Syara and Serafina smirked back.
12:40
I landed my pod back in the hangar. We piled out and walked purposefully toward the doors to the main building. On the way, Syara radioed Xeer.
“Come in, Lord Xeer, do you copy?”
“What is it, Syara?”
“What is the current location of the Resistance fighters?”
“They’re on level 2, heading toward block AB25.”
“Thanks. Over and out.”
Now it was a simple matter of sneaking up behind them.
KITTYMINE
12:30
We arrived at the DOH. Credit must be given to the kids at this point – they hid their Arwings nicely near the DOH. After finding proper landing areas ourselves, we landed and headed for the DOH.
It was an imposing building – volcanoes tend to do that to structures. The volcano was mercifully inactive, but…
It wasn’t too hard to get inside – the doors were already open and the bodies of the bunny guards lay on the ground.
“Now, where exactly did they go?” asked Nilly. “I mean, we could follow the trail of dead bunnies or we could loop around and join up with them, trapping any bunnies they’re fighting between us and them. ”
“Brilliant idea, Nilly,” said Armada. “One problem – anyone got a map?”
PADME
2:40
I walked toward the girls’ rooms, my mind still reeling. I barely noticed a piece of paper pinned to the wall. Numbly, I took it off to read it.
Dear Padme,
I’m sorry I’m not here to meet you. Angry as I am that you flew off, I know that it was for the best – you probably did the right thing, even though I’m worried sick about you. In any case, I had to fly off with the rest to the adults – your peers flew off on to raid the DOH, heaven knows why. Please, I beg of you, PLEASE STAY PUT! I don’t want to lose you. I really hope you read this.
Love,
Mom.
I took the note and turned to go back out into the hallway, only to practically bang into William and Rik, who had also aquired a note – shorter, but the same message. STAY PUT. I took a deep breath and stared at the ground.
“So what do you think happened?” I asked.
((Okay, can someone please RP both of my characters (Koppar and Kaninen)? I really don’t want them to get lost.))
((Random idea: whenever I watch the trailer for G.I Joe, I can’t help but think “Baroness = Lilis” ))
Errata:
I rushed toward the Reserve Hangar, drawn by the urgency in Groundhog’s voice. Once there, I listened in horror while Groundhog, Kittymine, and TGYPWYA explained what had happened. I ran toward an Arwing, glad we had enough, shouting mentally at Callista.
How could you do this? I already told you not to! Told you not to go, told you to think, and yet you did anyway!
Yes, a small, fair, part of me answered, but you also told her that you did it too. That probably didn’t help.
At the same time, I was yelling at myself, still mentally.
Why didn’t you notice, you saw that the kids were gone, and you didn’t think! Only hours after she nearly did just this, too! What on earth were you thinking?
I began starting up the Arwing, taking a moment to take a few deep breath to calm myself down. We’d find her.
Callista:
After about an hour, my autopilot pinged, warning me we’d be there soon. I woke up quickly, the adrenaline rushing back. After a bit of searching, we found a spot to land, and did so. It was fairly hidden, so we’d probably be fine. We all climbed out and met up, preparing to enter. This would be fun
((Woo, my new avatar finally started working!))
“Maybe the other kids went to the DOH and the adults went after them?” Rik suggested. I thought for a moment, trying to come up with an idea that proved the other kids weren’t stupid or impatient, then said, “Well, maybe-”
“No, he’s right,” Padme said, still looking at her shoes. We both looked at her curiously as she handed us a note. It said the same thing as ours, but was slightly more in-depth.
“So what do you two want to do?” I said. Rik thought for several moments, then said, “I say we go to the DOH.” I sighed and said, “As much as I hate doing what they told us not to… I agree.”
Then we both looked at Padme again. She finally raised her head after about a minute, and I was expecting to see either uncontrollable rage or deep and depressed sorrow in her eyes. I saw neither – instead, her eyes were full of steely determination. “Let’s go,” she said in a determined voice.
((192 – I’ll cover for them. Time to juggle more characters ))
((194 – I think the kids have only been gone for 10 minutes or so. ))
KOPPAR
12:20
We stood a little ways before the doors, alert for cameras. Strangely, there didn’t appear to be any guarding the door, but there was still the matter of the bunny sentries and the code to unlock the doors.
“So how are we getting in?” I asked. “I mean, the obvious thing is to blast the bunnies, but do we have anything that can x-ray the lock so that we can open the doors?” Slythix (I assume he’s still around) stepped forward.
“I think I can manage that,” he said with a crafty smile.
Zena and Mena took out the bunnies easily with blasters. We waited as second to make sure the bunnies wouldn’t spring up again before moving cautiously toward the doors. Once there, Slythix took out something that resembled a cross between a barcode scanner and a handheld computer and passed it over the keypad. In seconds the computer flashed a series of numbers on the screen -2569078134.
“Nifty. How exactly does that work?” asked Kaye as Slythix punched in the code.
She never got an answer, since the doors slid open at that moment and we were all forced to begin shooting at every bunny in sight. After a few minutes, the dust settled and we walked past the bodies of 10 or so bunnies.
We were in.

12:20
A monitor flashed red. I turned around in my swivel chair and pressed a button below the screen. I was instantly shown a view from the camera in thenorth side entrance hallway. A bunch of kids armed with blasters and the like were taking out the guards. They succeeded. As they walked up the hallway, I hit a button on the console.
“Xeer? We’ve got a problem – the Resistance brats are raiding.”
PADME
We got back into the Arwing and took off. Thanks to the booster, we were at the DOH in 10 minutes. We could see the other Arwings parked, hidden from ground view by rocks and shrubbery.
“It looks like they went in the north entrance,” I said, pointing at the parked Arwings. “If we go in on the south side, we should meet up in the middle.” William nodded and piloted the Arwing to the south side entrance, landing expertly.
I didn’t realize until later how crucial this decision was.
((Hey, Kitty, what happened to RQ’s plot twist? Let’s not ignore it…))
((Wait, Kitty, that’s not right. Kaye, Slythix, Charlie and Mena were heading to the DOH at full speed, meaning they’d get there at least ten or fifteen minutes earlier than everyone else. I’m planning to introduce a new character when they get there. See posts 166 and 182.))
((Why don’t you take advantage of the reply button, which would allow you to post getting there sooner then the rest of us? Would that work?))
((But Kaye and Slythix are in Kitty’s post…))
((Oops. Missed that. Sorry!))
((I-Man, I’d like you to come to the BA-editing thread. I am very confused, and need some help. Since your RPs seemed to be the source of most of the confusion (no offense–it was over a year ago, I don’t judge you by it), I thought I would enlist you to help untangle the problems. If you’re really not interested, fine, but I’d definitely like you to help if you can.))
(( Sorry! I kinda forgot. I just screwed things up again, didn’t I? *headdesks*

((Sorry I’ve been gone for so long – Driver’s Ed Now, to post! Ummmm…. oh, come on – not writer’s block again. Curse you evil fever! ))
((Wait, what exactly did you screw up? ))
((The plot. Last time I screwed up where the DOH was, so now that’s all confused. ))
((summary, please! I am utterly confuzzled.))
((Same. Not to mention I have terrible writer’s block…))
((201, 201.1 – Sure thing!
– Most of the kids (read: everyone except Will, Padme, and Rik) flew off to the DOH, more or less arrived at the same time, and are now inside
-The adults flew after the kids and are right about now entering the DOH
-William, Padme, and Rik flew around the country to find Padme’s father, eventually arrived at the (incorrect) conclusion that Edward Tesser is now dead, flew back to the base, found out that everyone else had gone off, and are just now arriving at the DOH.))

I put my Arwing on autopilot, noticing that everyone else was doing the same thing. Everyone else except Charlie and Mena’s Arwing and Kaye and Slythix’s Arwing. Strange. I radioed them.
“Guys, uh… any reason why you’re belting ahead?”
“Nothing really,” replied Mena. “We’re just anxious to get there. See you later!”
Whatever. I leaned back in my chair and went to sleep. If they got there first, so be it. At least then we wouldn’t have to break in first – the door would already be open for us.
12:20
We landed, hiding our Arwings in the bushes and scarce trees. As we looked toward the entrance to the DOH, we noticed dead bunnies and open doors. No winking camera lights.
“Time to catch up with the others, I suppose,” said Zena. I nodded along with everyone else.
We were in.

((Okay, writing in my plot twist. electros, I’ll write you in, too. Read 166 and 182 for basically what’s going on; if you need farther back than that, all the kids flew off on a raid of the DOH and are arriving there now. That’s about it.))
((This is going to be long, just so you know. Electros, if this is OOC for Slythix, we can just scratch it.))
CHARLIE
It was almost midnight. In a normal situation I’d be half-asleep, but the adrenaline rush from the speeding Arwing and the prospect of raiding the bunnies was keeping me wide awake. When I looked over at Mena, she seemed excited, too.
“We’re almost there!” she exclaimed, pushing the button that connected our radio to Kaye and Slythix’s.
Kaye’s voice crackled over my headset. “Yup, I see it too. Does everyone have a weapon? We’re gonna need ’em.”
“I’ve got…” I checked the bag I’d thrown everything in before leaving the base. “Three blasters and two lightsabers.”
“You have that many weapons? You’re eight!” Mena said in surprise.
There was a rustling sound from the headset, and then Slythix said very quietly, “No. He doesn’t. I do.”
“Whoops,” I mumbled. “They were sorta kinda lying around. You know, on the floor and stuff. And I figured we’d need them, so I kinda sorta grabbed them….” ((since there was a comment about sharing rooms, I figured I’d make Slythix and Charlie share, so the “picking up” of weapons would make more sense))
“Great. Thanks so much, Charlie. Until now, I figured someone had stolen them.” Slythix’s voice was dripping with sarcasm.
“Leave him alone, Slythix! He didn’t do anything wrong,” said Kaye.
“Oh really? He–”
“Didn’t do anything wrong,” said Mena, signaling the end of that conversation. She’s surprisingly good at getting people to shut up.
“I’ll give them back once we land, okay?” I said.
“Sure! Fine!” Slythix definitely didn’t want to give this up too easily, but I figured he’d probably take it out on the bunny guards, not me.
I hoped.
“Approaching the north entrance. Prepare to land,” said Mena. I braced myself. The impact wasn’t all that hard, but the next one was.
“Hey you!” yelled the bunny guard who had just jumped on me. “Resistance scum! Get outta h– ugh.”
I looked away quickly. “Thanks, Kaye,” I said, averting my face from the mess I was sure would be in front of me.
“No problem. Let’s go! Slythix, you can get your stuff on the way.” I noticed her turning a little pink as she tried to avoid looking at him, and had to stifle a giggle.
We raced inside, slicing randomly at the bunny guards. Mena took out the cameras while the rest of us got the door open. Just as we’d entered, another premonition hit me. Well, it was really the same one, but this time I got the sense that it was going to happen in only a few minutes. Also, this time I could see where it was.
“This way!” I hissed, my voice echoing in the empty halls. It was just after midnight, so the security was low–although the cameras would be watching. As we ran, I grabbed a blaster and shot at anything that looked remotely like a security camera, tripwire, or other device that could hamper us.
“Hey, that’s my blaster,” said Slythix, a bit too loudly.
“Shhhh!” the rest of us hissed. I passed him the blaster and grabbed another one.
“That’s mine too.”
Oops. I handed it over and got out the last one, which was, thankfully, mine. As we got closer, I heard voices.
“Shhhh!” I whispered, signaling everyone to stop. “This is it, I think.”
“No–please, don’t kill me–I didn’t do anything! I don’t even know who you are!” said the voice of a girl who sounded about thirteen, maybe fourteen.
“Well, you can blame your father for this, Ki–”
“Shh! She had a memory wipe, remember? On the off chance that she survives, we can’t let her know who she is! Jeez, you’ve got to be the stupidest bunny I’ve ever worked with.”
“What are you waiting for, then? Push her!” said the first voice.
“Now!” I yelled, and started shooting at the bunny whom the first voice belonged to.
“I’ll get him. You cover the other one!” called Mena.
“Die!” snarled the second bunny, shoving the girl just as I got to the edge. I heard the hum of a lightsaber behind me and the bunny’s scream.
I grabbed the girl’s wrist.
“Grab my other hand!” I yelled.
“I– I can’t! I’m scared to let go!” she yelled back, and I saw that her left hand was gripping the edge of the landing pad.
“Kaye, get over here and help me!” I screamed, my voice breaking. “I can’t hold on much longer!” I couldn’t just let an innocent person die!
Suddenly, all three of them were there, grabbing her hands and pulling her to safety. I think Kaye even forgot to blush when Slythix’s hand touched hers, although that wasn’t exactly what I was looking for at the moment.
Once the girl was standing a safe distance from the edge, I was able to get a good look at her. She was pretty ordinary-looking– tallish but not that tall, slim but not skinny. Her black hair was raggedly cut, but I’d say it was intended to be around shoulder-length; her black eyes looked huge in her pale, round face.
“Who are you?” Mena asked her.
“I don’t know,” she said.
“Memory wipe,” I whispered. “Something to do with bunnies.”
Mena nodded in understanding. “But we have to call you something, right?”
“How about Maia?” I suggested.
“Sounds good to me,” said Kaye. “Now can we get on with the raid, please?”
I nodded, already hearing the buzz of more Resistance Arwings in the air above us.
“Let’s get ’em.”
((204:Perfect. Heh heh.))
((I love you, RQ. I have devoted all my intention to finishing a two-page RP entry, so I’ll just do a bit of RPing and turn control back over to you…))
“Get between us, Maia,” I said firmly, grabbing Maia’s hand along with Charlie, who grabbed her other hand. The girl’s eyes grew even wider as she took me and Charlie in.
“Who are you people?” she whispered, and I took it upon myself to reply for the both of us.
“I’m Philomena, call me ‘Mena, I’m ten. This is Charlie, I think he’s eight. Now, come on, we need to get them…”
At this point, Slythix made a sarcastic comment, and I kicked him in the knees.
“Slythix…Shut. Up.”
((Wonderful. I’ll rewrite my last post to dovetail with that, and then we can proceed. Where’s Enceladus, anyway? He wanted a fight…))
Callista:
I landed just behind Charlie, ‘Mena, Kaye, and Slythix. After that, I took a moment to hide our Arwings, just in case, and went to the front door to wait for the others. While I was waiting, I ran through what I had with me in my head. My lightsaber, of course, which I supposed I was decent with, and a blaster, which I had just gotten this afternoon. I wouldn’t be great in a fight. But I could probably take out a few bunnies, and that was what counted. Just then, the others came up.
“Where to now?” one – Daisy – asked.
“I don’t know. They went in a few minutes ago.” I frowned. “I think if we went that way,” I pointed down one of the hallways, “We would catch up with them.”
They stared. “What makes you think that?”
“I don’t know.” I admitted. “But do you have any better suggestions?”
((207- I’ve been reading BA:TNG to try and reinsert my characters; could Selena (11) have been in the arwing with Callista? She can’t fly at all (she crashed the simulator thrice) but can use “anything with a trigger”.))
Selena:
We ran off after the others. I ran through a list of my weapons- two blasters in holsters on my belt, as well as a few miscellaneous round balls that seemed to be explosives. One more blaster in my left sleeve and one hidden in my right boot. And a lightsaber in my right sleeve. I’d seen the “take what you need” as an invitation to collect as many weapons as I could carry, which is why I’d stuffed a few throwing disks down my other boot- assassin/bunny issue, Syara must have forgotten them. I also had the disc, which sort of counted. It slumbered, thumping against my chest as I ran. If I was in a tight spot, I could activate it and use Syara’s combat skills to supplement mine. But I didn’t want to, since a) it felt strange, like someone else was controlling my body (technically true) and b) Syara couldn’t fight for two people at once. I couldn’t bear the thought of her dying because I felt like using a lightsaber, despite the fact that she was evil now.
Syara:
“Let’s send in some HPBs with blasters. Set them to stun! I’ll go and clean up. Those naughty little children didn’t put their arwings in the hangar. I’ll have to clean up after them. After that, I’ll come and join the party”
((Can she have a tractor beam or is that too Star Trek?
Please RP my characters when I’m gone, nothing spectacular, just that Selena stays with the kids and that Syara… well, you know what Syara likes to do ))
((That’s perfectly all right.
Tractor beams are probably fine.))
Errata:
After we went a short way into the building, the track of dead bunnies split, and went in two different directions. Looking down both of them, I said to nobody in particular, “Oh cake. What were they thinking?” then turned to the rest of the party. “Looks like we’ll have to split up. Any better ideas?”
((Thanks for posting, RQ! Sorry I kinda messed things up before… ))
MAIA ((by the way, her real name is Kiyarra, but she won’t find that out for a while))
I watched in awe as the other kids grabbed blasters and lightsabers and got ready to… well, I wasn’t too sure what they were trying to do, but I figured I’d better go along with it. I got the sense that they were trying to hurt the bunnies, which was fine with me, since the bunnies had just tried to kill me. But what had the bunnies been talking about before they tried to push me? “You can blame your father for this…” “Memory wipe….” did that mean that the bunnies had somehow erased my memory? Well, obviously, because I couldn’t remember anything before two days ago. Or would that be three, now? I’d heard someone saying it was after midnight.
Suddenly, I was dragged nearly off my feet by Charlie and ‘Mena, both of whom were at least a foot shorter than me, but obviously stronger.
“Slow down!” I said, a little too loudly, but they had already let go of my hands and formed a weird little square with the others. Was it a battle formation? It seemed kind of familiar, which was odd; I was sure I’d never seen it before.
We landed silently. I used the Arwing’s laser to destroy the solitary turret guarding the entrance, and we entered the building. After a turn or two, we came across what could be considered a security checkpoint – the floor from the hallway was missing, with metal columns rising up from the pit. A panel on the wall indicated that a bridge could be made, but since we didn’t have a security card of some kind, we were out of luck.
“We’re going to have to jump,” Rik said. “I’ll go first.”
“No – I’ll go first,” I said. Padme looked like she was going to disagree, that sooner or later going first would end up killing me, but instead she just said, “Be careful, Will.”
“I will,” I said quietly. Then I turned and carefully jumped onto the first pillar. I continued to jump across, finally ending up on the other side. Rik came across next, almost losing his balance on one of them but making it across. Padme was more careful, so she took a little bit longer.
Then suddenly, just as she landed on the 2nd-to-last column, an alarm started blaring. Rik and I looked around wildly, and as a voice alerted intruders in various areas over the intercom (thankfully, the three of us hadn’t been discovered yet), we heard Padme yell, “AAAAAAH!”
Padme! I thought, looking back. She was no longer standing on a column, and for a moment I dreaded the fact that she might be dead, when she cried out, “Help!”
“Padme!” I exclaimed (aloud this time), realizing that she must be hanging on to one of the crossbars that supported the columns. Without even thinking, I jumped over the last two columns, landed on the third, flopped down onto my stomach, and held out my hand. She grabbed it, and I slowly hauled her up. We jumped across the final two columns, finally getting all three of us on the other side.
No sooner did that happen, however, than Padme collapsed on the floor, holding her hand and moaning quietly in pain. I knelt down and saw that her hand was bleeding. The metal must have cut into it, and while it wasn’t her strong hand that had been cut, it was still a big problem.
((Wow, that was a long post. Anyway – Kittymine, which of these do you think is best?
-Padme finds her father in a cell and tries to set him free but is caught and thrown in the cell with him;
-She is caught and thrown in the cell with her father without finding him first;
-Or we all head back to the base without Padme finding him, and receive a radio that Xeer contacts us with. He tells us that if he doesn’t receive the Key to the center of the Earth in 48 hours, then the other person who speaks will die – namely, Padme’s father.))
((212 – Option #2. Definitely. ))
((Now, I’d post a response, but I think it would be best if the battle got underway a bit more before any of my other characters say anything. ))
((Can AvalonGirl, Armada or electros RP the next part of the battle, so we’re caught up to the other kids?))
((ENCELADUS! DAISY! KOKONILLY! ALL THE OTHER PEOPLE THAT I’M TOO LAZY TO LOOK UP! COME BACK!
…Sorry, it’s just that we’re in the middle of a battle for cake’s sake, and nobody’s posting. This is frustrating to me.))
((To me too. I seem to be the only one seriously posting lately. Odd, I never used to be this serious about BA, and then when I came back…. hehe.))
((Yeah. I guess it’s just summer break.))
((I apologize, Errata. I have been lurking. I’m just sort of feeling confused and writers’-blockish and haven’t been RPing. I know it’s sort of a lame excuse. Pie me if you will.))
((That’s fine. I don’t need you- you’re not in my group. (Just kidding. ) I’m just frustrated with everyone, especially Enceladus, who actually appears not to have come on the blog recently, since he specifically requested two fights, and isn’t here for one of them.))
Hello lads.
my first appearance in ages…
((ZVX! You’re back!
))
((Horray, ZVX is back!
))
((Hi, ZVX! Nice to see you again!))
